This restaurant is more than food, it’s an experience! The service was amazing. Upon arrival we received a complimentary drink and caviar dip w/ house made chips. First time trying caviar and for it to be an expensive one for free was a bonus. We also tried the stuffed meatballs which were tasty as well. For dinner we indulged in lamp chops, bone marrow stuffing, sweet potatoes, steak, spinach, & mashed potatoes. All so delectable and filling as the sides are meant for sharing. We ended off with an apple crisp pie and ice cream. Not too sweet but just right. It’s a good place to celebrate events! We also had 2 great mixed drinks with slogans on the straws.

Fantastic team dinner. High quality service from the moment we arrived. Excellent drinks. The homemade chips and caviar-topped dip started us off with high expectations that were met and exceeded. I enjoyed a wedge salad prior to my NY Strip which was just delicious. Mushrooms, asparagus, and mac& cheese filled out the plate. Huge sundae service for dessert. Nothing but praise for the good food and great service.

I ate here twice. One time outside and the other inside. Inside it’s a very beautiful steakhouse. Very clean and upscale. Service is very exceptional with that caliber. Servers were very attentive. We tried the pro seafood tower, Eisenhower, whipped and buttered potatoes, brussel sprouts, coconut cream pie, and the chocolate cake. Prices are expensive of course since it is a $$$$ restaurant. Overall like a ⅘. -pro seafood tower ⅗ - when sharing with people, I wished there was more crab and lobster to go around. A lot of clams and oysters but could also use more prawn for the price. -eisenhower 5/5 - porterhouse cooked medium rare. Juicy and tender. Bone marrow that came with it was delish. -whipped and buttered potatoes 5/5 - nice and buttery. Texture was very smooth. This is a must for sides. -brussel sprouts ⅗ - it was good but nothing extraordinary. -coconut cream pie 5/5 - I love the crunchiness of the graham crust and the coconut custard had a nice creamy texture. -the chocolate cake 5/5 - candied hazelnuts were flavorful. Chocolate was not too rich. Good ice cream.

For starters we had the meatballs and Mac and cheese, and for dinner had the Tuna and the steak dish. All the food was delicious. Loved their personalized menu and the overall vibe. 4 stars; I wish they had more diverse pescatarian or vegetarian entrees options on their menu. Very cute for a date or girls night out. They also have a small booth with light to take pictures 😊

The food and service was awesome! They really know how to make a patron feel special, especially for special occasions. Very attentive waitstaff but not overbearing. We went for brunch and I had the lobster and avocado toast and the lobster was grilled to perfection, I could still smell the smoke on it. The family style additional breakfast items made the entire bill a value since it was unlimited servings. We left stuffed and happy! Can't wait to go back!

One of the best dining experiences I've had in my life. The staff and service could not have been better. The food was outstanding. And the atmosphere is second to none. Would love to return soon.

We had the pro seafood Tower. Was very delicious. There was like a lake of butter at the bottom of the pan which made everything's taste delicious. The service was awesome and fast. The crowd is definitely business professional and very fun. A very lively spot. Around the bar there's layers of people talking and having fun. Next time I'm in Chicago, I'll definitely be coming back here.

I went to maple & ash for dinner tonight w/a few ladies. I wasn't overly impressed. The food was (IMO) way over priced. I ordered the "roasted chicken" entree, which was ONLY Chicken, NO sides, NO veggies NO nothing but 2 pcs of sliced chicken breast in gravy for $41 (the taste was decent) but Definitely not worth the money I spent. I paid an additional $15 for mashed potatoes to make a Meal. (Maple & Ash is a ONE and DONE for me). The service/servers were real nice and attentive, but I guess for the gratuity they add they should be. Even though my portion of the bill came to $56 I ended up being out of $100. I feel like I should be rich in life. (I'm not as rich as I want to be YET). I guess I need to not complain about spending this money for so little, b/c this how the rich folk eat right... see the chicken in the pic.. #Enjoy

Just a wonderful 5⭐️ experience all around. There’s no wonder why it’s rated so high. The service is impeccable, special thanks to Livia. The crudo was so light and fresh. The meatballs were wonderful. The Eisenhower was a dream…tender and juicy. The only thing I didn’t love was the French onion soup. Gratin potatoes, Mac and cheese…10/10.

Maple & Ash is the favorite and offers some of the best dishes in not only the Gold Coast, but the entire city. Both formal dining upstairs and 8 Bar downstairs are sure to impress. I've never had a dish here that didn't leave me amazed and the atmosphere is incredible. Servers are always on-point, friendly and give great recommendations.

From the moment we stepped into the door we were welcomed by every staff member that we passed. If you booked for the dining room you are directed to walk to the elevator and take it to the next floor up. We went at 9:45pm on a weekend so the bar that was in the dining room was packed with people in front of it. The dining room was loud and had barely any lighting. All the tables had candlesticks lighting them up. It was a beautiful atmosphere. We were immediately greeted by our waiter. We were celebrating a birthday so our server had brought a custom menu with my name on it wishing me a happy birthday along with a free cocktail for the table to enjoy. Our server was very attentive and we didn't have to wait long to order drinks or our food. A bowl of creme fraiche with caviar on top and potato chips was served to the table while we waited for our food (which was really fast!). Everything tasted amazing, especially the filet mignon. It was seared perfectly and served already cut up for us. Once a plate was finished it was immediately removed out of our way to reduce the amount of clutter on the table. We ordered the chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream for dessert and it tasted amazing! Overall the experience was beautiful and enjoyable and I would love to come here again at the next chance I get.

Truly remarkable. I was traveling to Chicago solo for business and took up a two top as a single patron and was still treated with great attention and respect by my server (this was prime time on a Saturday night so I greatly appreciate the treatment despite the fact they would see a smaller bill on the turn). As others have noted the accoutrements really make the meal extra special, but everything I had was one of the better things I have ever had the pleasure to eat. Special shout out to the Wagyu Beef Carpaccio which would have been worth the trip by itself. Worth every penny, and whenever I have the chance to make it back to Chicago I will surely be back. Edit: Also wanted to mention that I arrived to town later than expected and despite hustling to make my reservation, therefore not being dressed my sharpest and being a bit disheveled, I was still treated as finely as the more gilded crowd and truly appreciated the consideration

I don't even have words to describe how amazing my experience was at Maple and Ash. Lauren made sure I was well taken care of and the food was INCREDIBLE. I don't regret one single bite of what I ordered. (Which was possibly everything on the menu). Treat yourself to a once in a lifetime dining experience. You won't regret it. Worth the wait, worth the calories and worth every dollar spent.

Wow. First let's start off with John our waiter truly amazing he made our meal! Customized our dinner to our liking and was extremely informative. Every dish we has was amazing! Such a special place with a beautiful atmosphere. Would love to come here again for more special moments because it was incredible! Some of our favorite items were the seafood, onion dip, and bone marrow (PHENOMENAL!!!!!). Can't say enough great things about here. Yes it is expensive but the experience is truly unmatched!

Maple and Ash is a true culinary experience, my husband and I are not very easy to impress and before we even got our entrees, we knew we would be back! 1st of all the the service and staff are second to none, every single staff member we made eye contact with, greeted us with a welcoming smile and kind words. The whole atmosphere of the restaurant exudes class, luxury & decadence. Our food came out quickly, fresh and delicious. There was not one bad part to our night. Our waiter Frank was very attentive and had a great personality. The absolute cherry on top of our experience was our interaction with Maitre D’ John David. He really made our night special, taking pictures of us & giving me heart shaped glasses. At one point I lost a ring and was ready to give up on finding it on such a busy night, but not John David! He found it before I left. Maple and Ash are lucky to have him.

Love this place! Great, dark ambiance (candle lit vibe). Our server was amazing- drinks upon arrival were delicious. Our wagyu meatballs were a bit over cooked but everything else was very good. This was my third time here and I definitely plan on coming back again :)

Great experience!!! The food was well seasoned and my medium well steak was cooked to perfection. But the highlight was the Sundae Tower. So many delicious toppings for the mounds of ice cream that you and a partner can enjoy together. The lighting was too dark for my liking. I understand that ambience and low lights are a staple for some upscale restaurants. But I think the food speaks for itself and so more light wouldn't hurt. The only issue with service as that the staff poured sauces on our dishes without our permission. Someone at our table wanted to try the sauces first before it was poured.

My wife gave it a top five food experience in her life. American Wagyu strip steak was flavorful and tender. Wine list was extensive with options in most price ranges. Seafood tower was good, probably the weakest part to us. Presentation of the butter for the steak was wonderful. We enjoyed the steak tartare. The wait staff was on point and our service impeccable.

I walked into Maple & Ash with the highest of expectations to celebrate my birthday dinner. The steakhouse glowed with dim lighting and the soft flickering of candlelight, giving it an elegant and refined feel. The waiter led us to our table where we were greeted with a menu that was personalized with my name and birthday wishes. A small gesture, but it made me feel special. As we settled in, the waiter brought out a handful of potato chips that were accompanied by a French onion dip and caviar. It was an upscale take on a classic chip and dip but with a little extra flair. I eagerly scooped up a chip with the dip, anticipating the taste of caviar. Unfortunately, the flavor was lost amidst the other ingredients. Still, the chips were complimentary, so I couldn't complain! Next up were the appetizers, and I couldn't resist trying the beef tenderloin steak tartare with sourdough bread. It was a perfect blend of flavors that melted in my mouth. The French onion soup was equally impressive, creamy, tangy, and cheesy. I could feel my taste buds doing a happy dance with every spoonful. For the main course, I ordered the Maple & Ash Surf & Turf, which came with a 6 oz filet mignon and half a lobster. The filet was cooked to a perfect medium-rare, but it wasn't quite as good as my homemade steaks. The highlight of the night was the lobster mac and cheese. Initially, we ordered it without lobster, but our waiter suggested adding some. It was only later that we found out that the few pieces of lobster added a $30 charge! Regardless, it was the best mac and cheese we had ever tasted. The service was professional, with the waitstaff treating us like royalty. They were attentive and informative, making the experience all the more enjoyable. The ambiance of the restaurant was loud and bustling, with a dressy atmosphere that made us feel like we were at a fancy gala. It may be pricey, but the experience is well worth it for special occasions. I can't wait to come back and indulge in that lobster mac and cheese again.

My fiancée surprised me with reservations here on my birthday! I loved it! The waiter was nice and patient. Their mac n cheese was amazing. The personal menu was a fun and cute idea. My only complaint was that our table was wobbly and with cutting the steak, I felt like our candles were going to tip over. I had to have my foot over the table leg the whole time. Also I didn’t like how I wasn’t facing my partner, I had to sit in corner facing about 6 couples down the row. Valet parking was convenient and they were efficient! Would recommend to friends.

Talk about an experience! Kevin our attendant/waiter for the evening was AMAZING! It was like a nice suprise at every turn of the evening. He was amazing and attentive throughout the entire night. I was also obsessed with gentlemen who helped with our dinner wrap up. They were very nice and engaging. One was from Columbia and one was from Brazil and it was amazing to have a conversation with them about their cultures an countries. I WILL BE back !!!

Never fail to entertain. Took my daughter here for her college graduation. She loved it. So did my mom and my 12 year old daughter. It's a a place to go to see some of the glitzy and beautiful people of Chicago. Our server Dario was great even though he gave us some appetizer we did not order we were happy to eat it and pay for it. Dress to impress. The steaks and seafood tower are amazing!

Essentially a trending high end steak house with a sophisticated yet relaxed atmosphere. The staff were all friendly. The main dining area is upstairs and comes into view after taking the elevator up from the coat check. The tuna tare tare served was not good. Several pieces of meat were very chewy. The caviar topped sour cream and potato chip was tasty. The steaks in general were very good. Recommend the aged steaks as well as the olive fed wagyu. The plating and presentation is just average.

Love this area which there are several restaurants in N State street in Gold Coast. The restaurant is a tasty and stylish on its own way. I had a filet Mignon with Goat Cheese Salad, it was good. Nice day to be outside for your business day meeting in Chicago. The coconut cake with cream desert tasted really awesome too.

Words cannot begin to describe this place. The atmosphere was indescribable. The service, wow.. everyone and I mean everyone was professional and engaging. The food... holy.. to say it was good would be a great offense. This was hands down the best meal we've ever experienced. The menu options were so varied that we both decided to do the IDGAF menu. Which is basically a tasting menu of what they offer. This was the best decision ever. Not only were our tastes and senses delighted but it was also food that I personally would have never tried for fear of not liking it or knowing what to order. Hands down the best dining experience ever. Was it cheap? No way. Was it worth it? EVERY PENNY. If we ever travel back to Chicago we WILL be going back again.

If you want a dinner and a show, Maple & Ash is the place to go. First off, I'll start by saying the food is absolutely delicious and the staff is amazing. Sarah, our wonderful waitress was a gem and provided the best service anyone could ever ask for. The food was exceptional, but no one really goes for the food - they really go to people watch. Men with little blue pills in their pockets, mingle around, waiting to snag a hot date for the night. Instagram influencers are there hoping to score a rich husband. This place was absolutely insane - the restaurant can get away with pricing their food outrageously high because people are being presented with such a crazy show. From people attempting to have $*# at their table to doing lines of €o%e at their table, you will never walk away without a story to tell!

Elegant steakhouse experience with some hits and misses. While shopping around the area, my friend and I saw their nice patio area and decided to give them a try. During our Sunday afternoon visit, we were pleasantly surprised to find that walk-ins were accommodated, so we easily grabbed a table without a wait. We kicked off our meal with Bay Scallop Rockefeller - scallops smothered in creamed spinach, Parmesan, and Pernod. However, we were disappointed to find the scallops noticeably small, overshadowed by the rich sauce. Given the price point, the portion size felt lacking, and it seemed as though the sauce was compensating for the lack of substance in the scallops. Next up was the Salmon Miso Roll. This sushi roll, ironically, turned out to be the highlight of our meal at the steakhouse. At its core, it featured the classic pairing of salmon and avocado, with a drizzle of eel sauce. What made this roll exceptional, however, were the crispy strands of burdock and the umami notes of the miso. The crunch and the smokiness added dimensions that truly elevated the dish. For our main course, we opted for the Filet Mignon. While the presentation was elegant, the steak itself was a disappointment. The cut was thinner than we expected, and worse yet, it was overcooked to a medium-well despite asking for a medium-rare, robbing it of its natural juiciness. The edges were tough, leaving us questioning the value. Overall, Maple & Ash offers a beautiful setting with some noteworthy dishes. However, beware that some of the steaks and high-ticket items may not fully live up to expectations.

I had the pleasure of dining at Maple and Ash, and I have to say, Chef de cuisine Cole deserves a standing ovation! The food was so delicious that I temporarily forgot my own name. Thank you, CDC Cole, You're a culinary genius, and I'm eternally grateful for the food coma.

This spot is outrageously amazing! Everything from start to finish is an experience. Aesthetically there is a romantic, but small club vibe. Music playing, & candles lit on every table all. A++++ for the ambiance. Our waitress, Casey, was energetic, sweet and very attentive! We loved her! She greeted me with a complimentary caviar onion dip, and a cocktail for my birthday. And to top it off, a funny custom made menu. Nice twist! I brought it back home with me. This place is pricey, so come prepared to drop a little something, something. However it’s not just a spot to eat- it’s an experience! Let’s talk about the food! Filet (16oz) bone in- B- it was dry, and the steak was cooked well done to medium rare. Not a very good jobs It didn’t taste horrible, we asked for butter and it completely helped it out. The outside portion of the steak was too charcoal and I think that’s what made it dry. Bone-In Rib Eye (22oz)- A+++ amazing, juicy, cooked to perfection & flavorful. Mac & Cheese is crazy good!!! Fries- On Point! A La seafood tower- SOOOOOO GOOD Dessert- I can’t remember, but i think it was a chocolate cake , almond crust, with ice cream. DELICIOUS!

I went to this restaurant alone for dinner while on vacation, I had heard the place is great and had to try it out. I chose the IDGAF option and it was worth every penny in my opinion. It had four courses and every course was such an amazing surprise that blew me away and gave me a chance to try new things. The restaurant has a wonderful vibe that is luxe but relaxed, the cocktails are unique and delicious, the food is amazing and the portion sizes are great. If you aren't used to fine dining, don't feel shy! This place has such a comfortable atmosphere and I felt so very welcome despite being new to the experience. My server was Javier and he was such a pleasure to have for the evening. He was great conversation and stopped by often to make sure everything was going well. He was so quick and happy to help me with navigating my experience at Maple & Ash. I would come back in a heartbeat and wouldn't hesitate to recommend this restaurant or Javier's assistance to anyone. Best dinner I have ever had!

Absolutely outstanding. We made reservations here for my 27th birthday. It's very busy but the service was immaculate. Our host served us complimentary vespas (alcoholic drink). Then proceeded to give his recommendations on things we were thinking about. Like suggesting the lobster mac and cheese over the regular. It really was a highlight. He was very upfront and funny. When it came to the dishes he said to try the house beefed up butter and it was astounding. The flavor was impeccable. Finally desert came around and I had to try the Sunday since it sounded so good. It really was an experience.

Maple and Ash is the best restaurant in Chicago, from the food to the ambiance; the service to the scene. My experiences here are always elevated by Ryne, who always makes sure I have a reservation, greets my party personally each time and knows them by name, and personalizes our menus and other details to really make us feel like we’re VIP. I know to contact him and come to Maple whether I have a business dinner to host, family in town or for a fun night out with friends. You must try the seafood tower. MUST. The caviar service is beautiful and outstanding. The steaks! All of it.

This was the best, most interesting meal I have ever had. The wait staff was excellent the drinks for excellent if I could have added more stars to this review I would. it's expensive, for two people I spent about $450 for dinner and drinks not including 20 for the valet.

Very good place a bit pricey. But it's more of an experience. I had the rib eye cap and it's delicious and tender. You won't regret it but it's a special dish you need to ask beforehand. The seafood tower is also very good and the lobster Mac and cheese is one of the best. It's so creamy and delicious.
