We ate here for breakfast because it was conveniently located across the street from our hotel. The breakfast food was very tasty: eggs, omelette, hashbrowns. The coffee was excellent! Along with the service! We sat in a booth with a window and had an excellent view. They serve Heinz ketchup.

Waitress took 15 minutes to even acknowledge the line of people waiting at the entrance to be seated. Once seated the waitress did not introduce herself or apologize for the long wait. Upon ordering my spouse had a question about the price listed for steak meal. The waitress apologized we were giving the wrong menu’s. So, please ask for a newer menu. (They are the ones with the plastic sleeve.) We also had to ask for a glass of water, which was never refilled. When food arrive it was was warm and correct. Our waters were never refilled. We had to find the waitress to ask for our check.

The food is pretty good. Standard diner type fare. I think they are light on staff so the wait was near excruciating. I'm all for a dining experience, but this was not that. I'd eat here again but I don't know that I'd go back on a weekend. I feel for the staff, they do the best they can under the circumstances.

AMAZING service! Absolutely taken care of in a busy restaurant. The food was good. The portions were fair and the prices were also fair. Our coffee cups never once saw empty. A little dated but worth it for sure.

Both their breakfast and lunch menus were delicious. My husband and I both ordered skillets and another day came back for lunch and has their burgers and fries. Both meals were delicious! When it was busy in the morning, the wait at the door moved quickly, and the servers were quick, funny and pleasant. Also, if you're staying at a hotel nearby, it's quite convenient and local to the park. Would highly recommend coming here to grab a bite!

Excellent location for a quick breakfast! The pricing were really reasonable, and the portions were big. He even made the right eggs over medium, and the staff was kind and the restaurant was not at all busy. Some people find this to be quite challenging, yet this guy did it flawlessly! We will surely come back for lunch while we are here for a few days.

Great little breakfast spot. Typical neighborhood cafe vibe with bright colors and a mural. Incredibly responsive waitstaff. Delicious food. Will definitely be back when back in town.

I wanted a breakfast sandwich NO bread. They said they couldn't do that, so I though them I'd take the bread and throw it away if they wanted. So they agreed to that. They don't give itemized receipts, so all business travelers need to avoid. $18.54 for two eggs, slice of ham, and coffee. Wow!

Visiting from another state & staying in hotel attached to the restaurant the convenience was a plus. So I thought. The wait staff, all men, were busy so we waited to be seated. Once seated water & other drinks promptly brought to the table. Food is expensive such as cheese added to eggs $2.50, to add 1 pancake I was told I could not do but could order the 2 pancakes for additional $8.50 to my already order of $15 (for sausage, eggs, hash brown). Food came out quickly but hash browns oily tasting & sausage tough. Waiter did not return to table once food brought out. Lastly, to use a debit card/credit card it’s a 3% charge. Expensive and nasty food place. Do do it

Great find! They were definitely slammed and short staffed, but they didn't let that affect their attitudes, quality of service, or quality of food. It was clean, fast, and delicious! There was a short wait and a couple minor inconveniences, but nothing to complain about. These guys know what they're doing! Definitely recommend it here. It's your typical American breakfast diner comfort food, but they out their own charm on it and it's fantastic.

We both had the pancake combo (not pictured because we inhaled them-so good). Staff were friendly, didn’t let our coffees go empty. Cute decor. Everything came out quickly and as we ordered them.

Lizbet was our waitress. I had to ask her name to get it. It took about 25 minutes to get our food for a party of two. It was sitting on the counter. I'm glad it was still hot, but my sausage was burnt. Someone else brought our food out to us. She did not check in on us while we ate our meal. I had to call her name to request to-go boxes.

Such a lovely little cafe! Service was quick (8:45 Friday morning) and great. If you’re looking for a nice comfort meal near by, this is it. Two people, around $30. Great price for what we got and the location.

Had steak and eggs for breakfast. I had asked for a cup of ice to take with me. I have never been charged 1.00 for the cup. In Canada, it is free or at timmies you pay .20 cents. Don't get me wrong in chicago other restaurants didn't charge me for the cup of ice. Food was ok, but my coffee cup was always refilled. My water glass was not topped up.

I'll come back here just for the Mexican breakfast Burrito. The tortilla was perfect! My friend got the biscuits and gravy...and the biscuits were the best I've ever had. An excellent way to start the last day of our trip. Service was attentive and everyone was friendly. Will be back.

An average (good) breakfast-lunch diner. Very contemporary design scheme. Interesting floor tile design with a big black-and-white mural on the far wall. Average (good) food. I had the "Butt Steak Special" (sirlion "steak", two pancakes and two eggs) minus the two eggs but still paid the full price. It is on a side street with not much of a view. I won't avoid coming here again but won't seek it out.

Cute diner near my hotel with a nice, bright, and spacious dining area. Typical diner fare with the bonus of having chorizo as an available protein. Service is typical of a diner. Don’t expect Michelin star service. Chicago has plenty of that. But the staff is friendly enough, if a bit under attentive. The food is cooked perfectly and has tons of flavor.

Very good breakfast, had a bit of a wait as they seemed slightly short staffed however it was friendly service, coffees were never empty and food was well presented and cooked. Decent amount of food for the price paid. Seemed to be a popular destination as they always had a line up to get in.

Wow, what a fabulous breakfast. I had eggs, sausage, and the best hash browns I've had in years. The staff is friendly and service is quick. There was a line, but it moved fast. Recommend for a quick breakfast before you go sightseeing.
