Dvorak Park Pool (Outdoor)

Bar Park Swimming pool Public swimming pool

😐 Yesterday the open swim session was officially from 6 pm till 7:15 pm. A 14 min before the time run out the guys asked all swimmers to leave the pool. Probably the park administration and and swimmers in one hand and the guards in the other hand have different understanding of what 7:15 pm means. People often mention pool, lifeguards, people,

one stall in the ladies room is ridiculous! A softball games r going on. Senior using the one stall, a little girl needs to use the restroom but can't. Who approves these dumb changes! 😣

The pool itself is great; it's big enough for any kind of swimmer and it's decently clean. However, I am greatly concerned about the lifeguards on duty. They are not vigelent of the swimmers at all and don't actively scan the pool. They are also negligent and careless. There are non-swimmers in the deep end, kids running on the deck, kids in lifejackets in the deep end, and there have been people diving in constantly. At some point the swimmers were even teaching others how to the dive in. The lifeguards see this happening and say nothing. Luckily, they knew how to dive in otherwise that would have been a spinal injury all day (that's if guard on "duty" would even notice it). Also, in a conversation with one of the lifeguards, I asked what their ratio was because it was packed and there were only two lifeguards on duty. His response was "I don't know, but our Max is 300 people with two guards on duty". It's insane how two lifeguards would be in charge of 300 people. After I said that to him, he said it was 3 guards for 300 people. One lifeguard in charge of 100 people still seeems outrages to me. Especially if these guards are not even being vigelent of the water. Even when the lifeguards switch/exchange, they don't do it correctly. When they close, the lifeguards don't even bother waiting for everyone to get our of the water. They just leave and turn their back. Dvorak pool has been real lucky there hasn't been a drowning and/or incident.

I wish there was seating off the concrete and the hours make it so everyone has to leave the pool area every hour and a half for 15 minutes which is a long time to wait. Otherwise, a great way to relax and beat the heat.

My daughter played volleyball here and she loved it. She was able to practice her skills and learn different things to help her better her craft. She can't wait to go back.

Great Olympic length open air pool that is only open during the summers. Odd scheduling for 45 min sessions

Apparently someone threw a bottle that shattered on the sidewalk and may have gotten in the water, and the staff here said they saw it when they arrived... It’s 4:30pm and nothing has been cleaned? They opened several hours ago… There are 6 pool workers here and they aren’t allowing people past the 4’6” side…. and I haven’t seen anyone attempt to clean anything since 2:30. They Closed the side where people can truly swim laps - past 4’6”… lazy and in no rush to solve the issue. The senior lifeguard also keeps threatening to close the pool. Not a fun and relaxing environment like it used to be a couple years ago
