My oh my, we flew out from Seattle for a music festival here in Chicago and this place was incredible. Our server was top notch and seriously as a chef, I can give nothing but the best compliments to the back of house. The food was delicious! Calamari was crispy but the meat was so tender. Our entrees were made perfectly from the sauce to the pasta. Only complaint was the bread was really hard.

We were walking by and stopped here because it smelled soooo good, even from outside. They were really busy (concert next door) but we were still seated immediately. All the plates are enormous, so bring a group or come hungry. Highly recommend the stuffed peppers - the sauce was really tasty and they were spicier than I expected. Spicy pesto and chicken marsala were also good. We didn't have room for dessert (how could you??) but I saw a couple cake slices come out that looked amazing.

I added salt 🧂 to the chicken parmigiana 🥺 Nothing too memorable about the flavors of the food here.. calamari was very chewy. The moscato tasted a bit watered down. I think I had my hopes too high expecting flavorful dishes. The service was.. good.. a bit aggressive & loud. Some of us don’t like to be “touched” when talked to. Please give us our space without feeling the need to nudge or poke us when giving us the rundown on your specials. I didn’t appreciate that at all.

Loved the carbonara tortellini and the chocolate cake. Have had better Caesar salads and linguine with clams. Not bad here tho just have had better in the city.

Don't waste your time with this restaurant. It's the overpriced version of your typical pasta restaurants. The food is okay at best and the sauce is watery. Just fyi, most of the options have a wine based sauce.

My 2022 Mother's Day started off at a play and ended with dinner at IL Culaccino Italian Restaurant. This restaurant was boisterous, the service was great, the food was delicious and the pricing was comperable. I enjoyed the House Salad and Linguine with Clams. Oh my .. this delicious dish was full of chopped and shelled clams. Our party of four shared the Fried Calamari, Tiramisu and Vanilla Gelato.

Food was good, with the pork chop dish being the best! Tender, juicy and thick pork chop. Asking for extra sauce for the pork chop was a charge of $9,60, which was a bit disappointing. They do take reservations. Indoor seating as well as covered indoor patio seating. Interior is clean. Tables are spaced nicely. Metered street parking.

Great for lunch! Went here on a weekday with colleagues, plenty of tables available out on the covered, enclosed patio that felt open and let in wonderful natural light. Nonna's Meatball Salad was just right for a light lunch that still has some protein to stick with you for a bit. The flavorful, sauced meatballs are the real star of the show, the rest was basic salad fare. Splurged for some San Pellegrino to round out a fine meal.

An incredible evening and a very accommodating staff. We literally arrived 20 min before the kitchen closed but Mandy our server and the entire staff did the best to make sure we were taken care of. They even made pesto linguine for me special and fixed all the best drinks for us. We didn't feel rushed at all and all the food came out amazingly fast. Thank you so much we appreciate it and will definitely be back.

Made online reservations, good thing because it was packed but the service was very quick, efficient and on point! Food arrived quickly and hot. Dessert was yummy as was the Baked Calamari and classic. 3 dinner specials sounded good but we atayed to the menu. Even tho we were full, we splurged for dessert. Pricey but sooo worth it. Decor was nice with old pics of Sinatra, Dinero, Peschi and others.

Great deal with the lunch sandwiches! Special mention to the busboy who can carry 5 plates and makes a lot of effort to clean tables quickly.

Mandy is an incredible brand ambassador- find someone this amazing to represent you and your awesome food. Got to see amazing teamwork tonight…every person hopping to make sure the delicious food and drink got to each delighted customer. Folks, ask Adolpho how to keep things moving when the tempo doesn’t ease up - a great case study.

It's very slow - Wednesday lunch: no host so seating took a long time. Service was slow though people are friendly. The food was good like the marinara sauce was light and fresh. The pasta itself was OK. And $7 for a cappuccino is a bit much...

Was in Chicago for a work trip and this was recommended by my hotel concierge. 10 out of 10 Italian! I ordered a Negroni, calamari, and tortellini carbonara…all were awesome!

Loved every bit of our experience at Il Culaccino! Atmosphere was amazing, we ate out in their enclosed patio space (beautiful). The food was incredible, pictured is the Pappardelle, and we couldn’t decide on dessert, so we ordered both the tiramisu & the chocolate cake - wow! The person who helped us all night (I’m so sorry, I didn’t catch your name), was so kind, prompt, and overall made us feel so welcomed. That was also the first time I had been asked “how’s everything tasting,” and none of us had our mouths full of food!! How is that even possible?!

Our food was delicious but the veal was overdone. It was burnt and dried out. Very disappointed.

This is one of the best restaurants in Chicago! Having visited a few times and trying a variety of dishes, it gets better each time. The staff is attentive and friendly and the food is arguably the best Italian around. Specifically, the spicy penne pesto is a crowd favorite. For this atmosphere and experience, the prices are extremely friendly. Always try to sit on the patio for a lively experience and awesome view of a night out in Chicago. I cannot say enough good things and can't wait to go back!

Went here with a few friends and well worth the stop. The staff and service were awesome. Food I felt was great especially the grilled calamari appetizer. It was awesome. All of our dinners came out great and we had a great time.

Food was phenomenal both days we went there (yes we went two days in a row it was so good)! Great walking distance from McCormick Place! Had the daily risotto and the salmon dish!

Don’t recommend. Ordered a plate with pork in it and they refused to remake it. THEY ARE A JOKE!!!! They literally gave me a bowl or grease 😫 I do not recommend. There are a lot of good restaurants wayyyyyy better with better customer service. It’s a reason many people in the neighborhood don’t eat here.i knew I should have ran when I had to walk to a worker sitting down eating just to have my order taken😩. I guess her meal was more important than mines

As a sole diner I was seated at the bar area, all good with me, and was looked after very well. I placed my food order and it arrived in minutes which I wasn’t quite expecting. I had barely finished my starter before the main meal arrived. Indirectly I felt like I was being rushed. The food was fine.

Despite it being super busy, the staff was very attentive and welcoming. The food and drinks were delicious. The children loved their spaghetti and meatballs. We would have appreciated coasters—the table ended rather messy.

Fabulous Italian food, generous portions, fair prices and great service. The whipped ricotta appetizer was so delicious! Loved my Veal Milanese entree. Ordered the Al Capone drink which was a perfect compliment. Very close to several area hotels and the McCormick center, I would definitely recommend. The entrees are big enough to split, or you could order three for four people and get to try a variety of dishes.

I didn't get to snap a picture of everything i was so hungry and everything was so good. We started with the whipped ricotta tuffo, meatballs, and mozzarella buratta. All three were very good. Each one id say would be good for 5 people to try one. I had the veal calabrese for my meal and thats what i have pictured and it was very good. It had a lemony type of sauce and all the veggies were cooked perfectly. Definitely would come back again. Thanks guys!

Food was pretty good, atmosphere was amazing, service was excellent. They seated us right away. I would say just a little overpriced. Otherwise, we highly enjoyed it.

Lovely outdoor patio, parking garage next door. Authentic and delicious Italian fare. Jazz sets the atmosphere. We all love the pipette a la vodka. Patio a bit noisy.

The service is great the food is good the atmosphere is amazing. The pictures from Good Fellas, the open patio and the innovative wine rack. I can't wait to go back and try the rest of the menu.

We have been fans of Franco's for a long time so when this popped up in the search we were excited to try it out. The service was great, and the wine list and cocktails on point. Our appetizer, salad and entrees were all wonderful. The menu offers all of the traditional Italian preparations at the entree, but the pasta list included some things I was not expecting and the grilled calamari was great.
