I love this place, I love the people that work here, & I love coming in to eat after a night out. However, lately they have been closed every time I go. According to the hours they never close. However, we went after the Gaga concert on Monday & there wasn’t a single sign of life. It would be nice if the business hours truly reflected the operating hours.

Quick tip - you don’t have to be 55+ to order off the 55+ menu. They have a 55+ sampler which is one pancake, piece of bacon, 1 egg, ham and a small serving of hash browns. It is really all you need and pretty inexpensive. For what it is - it is pretty good. We went late at night one night after drinking and the service was good and the food met expectations.

I recently decided to give IHOP a try, hoping to satisfy my newfound love for coffee and craving for crepes. Having never visited an IHOP before, I was optimistic about my dining experience. However, my visit left me with mixed feelings. One of the first things I noticed was the absence of Vanilla Lattes on their menu, which surprised me since I associate pancakes and crepes with coffee. This minor disappointment didn't set the best tone for the meal. I ordered the crepes, as I had been yearning for them, only to find that they didn't meet my expectations. In my opinion, they didn't resemble authentic crepes at all. Instead, they seemed deep-fried, and this was a major letdown. The texture and taste were far from what I had hoped for in a crepe. The saving grace was the strawberries that accompanied the dish; they added a much-needed burst of flavor to an otherwise lackluster experience. One aspect that did shine at IHOP was the service. Our server was incredibly nice and attentive, making us feel welcome and comfortable throughout our meal. The restaurant itself was clean and pleasant, creating a pleasant atmosphere for our visit. In retrospect, I wish I had heeded the advice of those who told me that IHOP might not be the ideal place for crepes. While the service and overall ambiance were enjoyable, the disappointment of the crepes left me unsatisfied. If you're a coffee lover and have a hankering for crepes, it might be best to explore other options. IHOP might be famous for its pancakes, but crepes might not be their strong suit.

Went to get breakfast for my family. Was told when paying that they did not have enough change. When asked why, was told the managers do not leave the key to be able to make change, and was asked if i could visit another establishment to get change. After visiting five different places, was able to get change so i could go back and pay. Was told to call or come back to talk to a manager about. Came back to talk to a manager, and was treated rudely. Told that it is the servers that are required to have change on them to make change. When asked what happens when they run out of change, I was told the same story. Another manager came up, and asked what I wanted done, or was I just trying to be a jerk. I explained that he was the manager, and it was his job to offer compensation, to which I was told I was wrong, and to get out of the restaurant. Asked if he could write his name down so I could reference him yo higher management, which he refused. Then talked to their management company, and was told that something will be done, but that their rules don't allow them to show transparency, or to compensate customers for poor service or inconvenience. This place used to be amazing, but now is just a restaurant that does not value customers. Just stinks since my family has been going here for over 15 years. Never again.

After being seated at a table for 20 minutes without receiving anything to drink or my order being taken I left. This was on Aug 8 around 12:30 p.m. After complaining to the manager, he said come back in 2 or 3 weeks and the service would be better. This is no way to promote a business. Clearly, IHOP needs a new manager.

In Chicago for a week and have eaten breakfast here on two occasional. The food is great, quite a selection and the portion sizes are pretty huge. The staff are helpful, friendly and welcoming. Good food, good prices so would recommend!

Wow if only this place was better, food was at the level you expect for a chain. But the management isn't taking care of the restaurant and I had to wait way longer than I should've for food. Their staff seems overworked and underappreciated to an immense degree.

It makes sense that people here are reporting the manager to be mean and discriminatory towards customers, as they just fired a friend here for albeist reasons. I can’t imagine how cruel they are to their staff… Will make sure that if I ever go out in boystown to NOT eat here.

Good food. Nice service. We had a huge order and they handled it in due time. It was already a crowded Sunday morning.

The service and atmosphere are great but the food is AWFUL. Even my cat wouldn't touch the egg or sausage. I had to drown them both in salt just to get the food down. Sure, you're the International House of PANCAKES (which I enjoyed) but if you're gonna add more than pancakes to your menu at least make those things more edible than combining bleach and green beans.

Worst service ever. They kept pressuring me to order and to leave and I wasn't even finished eating. So disrespectful. Very disappointed. Food is meh.

The area itself is lovely. Lots of colour and atmosphere. I myself got the 2-2-2 breakfast. Scrambled eggs, and sausage links. Absolutely delicious. The orange juice was sub-par but I have preferences on orange juice so you'd have to try it yourself. My table partner got the Cina-stack pancakes, which has cinnamon-roll icing drizzled on top. She wasn't personally a fan of sugar so she chose to eat the pancakes (3) under the top one drizzled in icing. She also got the breakfast sampler. She enjoys crunchy bacon, and if you're like her then don't be too surprised when getting softer bacon. Her eggs were scrambled, and she didn't particularly enjoy the hash browns, though that's because she was favouring her cinnamon pancakes. I was offered to eat her buttermilk pancakes that come with the breakfast sampler and they were delicious. The service was great (we asked for a couple things that I'm sure annoyed hour server, so sorry ma'am). There's only one bathroom (unisex) but it has a baby changing station. Would recommend!

This particular location is my favorite spot! Cozy, great service, and you must check out the specialty Wonka menu while it’s still available 🍭 You can taste the magic 🪄

Great start to the day. The service was great. The atmosphere was cozy for it being 11 degrees out. The coffee was delicious along with the breakfast.

Completely misheard our entire order even though I physically pointed and asked thorough questions about the dish. We had to get to work so there was no time for recovery. They said they would only charge for pancakes and 1 side but still charged us for coffees. Nobody got to eat absolute worst 30 dollars ever spent unfortunately. Rip IHOP

Im giving them one star because I have to in order to place a review. However this establishment doesn’t even deserve that. For one the place was empty and still had to wait to be seated. I wasn’t bother by that at all, my guest and I take a seat to wait there’s another patron there waiting for seating as well before us. We wait for about five minutes which wasn’t too bad. She comes and seats the patron before us. Now here I am thinking we’re next, but boom she takes a couple that came in after us. Immediately I say something but she continues to seat them. Overlooking us as if we weren’t there. Unacceptable IHOP YOU MUST TO BETTER!! there’s no place for lack of customer service or complete rudeness.

The waitress wasn't very friendly nor did see make enough visits to our table. The place wasn't busy at all. It's important to respect the craft and humility if hospitality. I would have give zero star if i had the choice… worst ihope I have ever..

One star is and understatement. I should’ve taken a picture of my food but it was so horrible looking I sent it straight back. The California chicken melt sandwich Iooked thrown together and not even cut in half as displayed in the picture. There was no avocado as it said it came with avocado I was really craving this. I asked for no tomato because I’m allergic and they still put it on there. I also asked for onions never said grilled and it came out looking like a White Castle burger I was utterly disgusted and disappointed. I will never be back again. I grew up in this iHop so this is sad. Cozy Corner would never.

Worse Ihop I’ve ever been to. Filthy, hostess was not present they took our name with a highlighter then didn’t know who was next. Waiter was inexperienced. We kept asking for coffee refill, water etc… I get their trying to do multi tables at a time but write things down. They forgot so much that our food was sitting at the warming table getting cold. Will not return horrible overall service.

Went in with my husky, waited for my meal, they have me my drink a bit late but the host was super nice. I love this little IHOP. Def recommended when you're drunk and looking for munchies

12 AM after a Sunday Funday of drinking on Halstead. I remember eating the Patty Melt, don't remember ordering it. I must confess the only way I am eating at IHOP is after hours of alcohol consumption and I must say it tasted Delicous! I believe Oscar was our waiter and I must commend anyone who works this job at night when its busy! They don't get paid enough! Thank you for your service!

the food was ok...but I had the turkey dinner. the turkey Was more like chip beef. lilttle pieces of turkey NOT slices. And the sides are grossl got green beans were hard little Sticks. They were hard and flavorless. You can taste that they were from the freezer! I went the morning of 11-4-22. The Female waitress was cold and uncaring like a smile could kill her.

This place was my jam w my girlie roomies during our DePaul undergrad days. Recently I went back for a big-azzz wknd breaky, and they did not disappoint. Love the ability to get a little bit of everything and still get fancy pancakes as my side dish. This time I got the pumpkin créme, and it was So. Good. They even packed up well to enjoy later bc I was so GD Full after my hungry hippos breaky. The server was a doll. The freaks were def out (to an extent lol, it was still “early”). A+++ early millennial tunes jammin overhead. Oj an my own carafe of kovfefe!!! Who could ask for anything more?!?!!! 🥰🥰🥰

In my opinion they need to fire this waiter is very rude customer service told me he could not split the bill so I moved to another table to be away from my family. The man refused to service me told me that he would call the police so I would never spend my money with this establishment ever again and neither should you

I've been going to this IHOP for years. Their staff is always friendly and cheerful. The food is yummy. I know it's weird to say I come here on a low carb diet, but get me of their omelets and sub a side salad for the pancakes/toast/hash browns option.

Tables are uncomfortable for Big & Tall people... they should create more space... everything else was as expected...

This is my favourite IHOP ever - I've been coming here for years! The staff is always friendly and quick with refills. The prices are typical IHOP greatness and who doesn't love pancakes?? I mean I'm sure somebody doesn't but do you know who does? ME. And probably you, too, if you're reading IHOP reviews. So go here. 💗🥞

Very poor, slow, service. After waiting 3 hrs no responses from the staffs. We try to talk with manager but he was so mean. We felt discrimination. They were totaly ignoring us. We noticed that they are busy for packing online orders. We just seated like stupid.

Worst experience ever. My server name was Oscar and he was just rude and not very experienced. He assumed I seated myself when another sever did. He didn’t offer any water or bring any to the table and I waited for at least 10 minutes before he decided to take my order. When other people came in his area he serviced them the correct way and even brought out water to them and they got to order right away. I didn’t leave a tip because he didn’t deserve one

Went in for veterans day. The service was great! Our server was very friendly and outgoing. The food was good and brought out pretty quick.

I came to have a nice food experience, but got only closed door and rude comments from server. She kept insulting me with "I'm going home, my shift is over, manager told me to close the door, because there is no one to serve people" Than even for orders to go she left without continuing conversation and said bad words for another person in a car. I think it's not the experience you want to see in Illinois, better to fire such stuff and send manager for management courses, or even downgrade her to kitchen help. Visit took place - 11/24/22 at 4:20 pm Very bad experience in that big national holiday. I was thinking about IHOP much better, than it is in reality.

The food an environment is amazing everytime I go to this place. Food is great and good service :) . If you wanna come to this location one time I’d recommend Luis, his customer service is awesome and he always make sure we have a good experience.
