😠 My partner and I both got an Italian sandwich on the 1/16/24 and we both got horrible food poisoning. Our topping varied so it was definitely the meat that was spoiled. 2 people getting sick from the same dish is a food borne outbreak… had the worst flight thanks to those sandwiches🤮🤢 People often mention sandwich, good, staff, sandwiches, airport, service, bagel, croissant, customers, people,

If I could give a zero, I would. Dropping F-bombs at me because her credit card machine was not working. And then speaking to the other staff cursing customers and saying their stupid. Obviously the middle aged Filipina clearly hates her life and should be happy that people are forced to hire her. Can’t see how anyone if they had a choice would hire her. She drives away more customers than she’s worth. Happy to even talk to the management about the abuse she inflicts on the staff and on the customers.

I ordered a Portabello Mushroom sandwich which cost around $10. There were three people manning the restaurant - One taking orders and on the front end of the toaster, one on the back end of the toaster receiving the sandwiches after they were bakes and one person at the register. The employee taking orders was very grumpy and did not smile at all. She talked in a rude tone to the customer ordering after me. Nevertheless, the sandwich was made pretty fast and tasted good. The Portabello Mushroom sandwich comes with sun dried tomatoes, regular tomatoes, lettuce, olives and portobello mushroom. There are two choices for bread - Standard sub or on grain bread.

This was a quick stop while passing thru ohare. The sandwiches are around 6-8 inches and cost less than $9. The staff was super friendly and the sandwich was great. Even better considering it’s airport food. Definitely a go to from now on. The picture does not do the taste justice. The bread was fresh and warm.

Very sour tasting, likely under extracted espresso. A typical super-automatic commercial do-it all machine. Intelligentsia coffee is served, the “black cat” espresso roast, which I can’t honestly comment on due to poor shot quality. Staff was friendly and efficient. Disclaimer: No one should have high expectations for airport espresso from an automatic machine; but it was nearby and I needed a boost. “Food” rating reflective of espresso, as that is my main review focus. Bagel was typical, 3 of 5 stars “average”. I did overhear that the machine was “recently calibrated”, which did make me a little hopeful.

Absolutely worst service. Cashier was telling people off (literally swearing). Then she was cursing them in Tagalog and making fun of them to the other staff. I was not subject to her abuse but clearly she doesn’t value being employed.

Airports are busy and there are a lot of customers to tend to- we get it. But the staff and layout is not well organized. The staff gives lack of direction to customers where to stand to retrieve their order. They are rude and literally yells at you, blaming you that it’s fault if you’re not fast enough to retrieve your order when you’re still in the middle of paying for it with their poorly working credit card machine. Got a bagel - super dry Iced Coffee - meh.

After unexpected overnight in Chiicago on my way to Europe, those guys made my day with positive work atmosphere and decent roast beef sandwich. Ariel was fun and ladies too. Highly recommended!!!

Honestly, probably the worst sandwich I’ve ever had. I didn’t expect much, being airport food, and this was still bad. I couldn’t eat more than two bites and I rarely waste food. Sandwich was hardly more than old lettuce and mayonnaise. Bread tasted like soap.

One of the worst ever places to have food. Not a great sandwich and they just gave extreme hot water with a tea bag on the side. I asked for additional tea bag and they asked me to pay for another tea. People over here are rude as well. Also she imagined in her dream that I wouldn’t want mushrooms on sandwich and didn’t add them. Get cheap labor who can’t understand English and lose business. A guy was ready to offer but the lady prompted him not to do. I wish this should be closed soon forever.

This place is an embarrassment. There’s barely any meat or egg in their croissants and the croissants are huge. The iced americano is just ice and barely anything else. Waste of money. Cashier was rude and rushing everyone out of the way. Don’t even attempt to go here. Walk a few more steps and eat at billy goat. So much better

Don’t waste your time. Sandwich suppose to have been toasted. Oven is like 6 inches across. Bread was hard and lettuce dripping with oil or some sauce.

Fast and friendly service. Something that you don’t normally see at an airport. The food was delicious. We had a HUGE cinnamon roll and a toasted plain bagel with plain cream cheese…. Mmmm!!! By the way…. I have pics of the food…. but were half way done eating them when I thought about it. You will just have to believe me that it was delicious.

If you are vegetarian/vegan, DO NOT EAT here. They are always out of the veggie sandwiches and then will make you pay $10 for a few raw peppers slapped between two pieces of bread. You’re better off just getting some snacks

Asked a simple question about the prices for the orange juice in the cup vs. the bottle. The cashier could only point to the price board. Maybe she couldn’t speak English. She also threw my husband’s change at him, which is very rude. The people working there don’t deserve to have jobs. Customer service is the most important thing! Recommendation to the management, hire people that are capable to work in customer service.

I guess you should really read reviews before ordering food. We had a 7am flight with 3 kids and the person taking our order could not even be bothered to take our full order before pointing at us to pay. If you operate this business and read these reviews. Please ask your staff to display a BASIC amount of patience and understanding. Honestly this is the WORST airport experience I've ever had. Customer service, should still count for something.

I've been coming to this place over 10 years as a business traveler and the bad reviews are over the top. Food is good and cheap by airport standards. If you want a smiling sandwich maker this place is not for you. I do not and don't know why anyone would.

A dude preparing food here made me feel incredibly unwelcome. Some how, this person making sandwiches was able to insert condescension into his process. Part of me feels good that he was able to look at me and feel comfortable to express his opinions about my appearance. That was the only inkling of something positive about my experience here. Please, consider any of the other restaurants in this food court. My daughter got a grilled cheese at another place and the people there made the food and handed it over. That's the extent of the job. Either be neutral or nice, please.

Nitro brew coffee is extremely sour.. it is not drinkable. the ham and cheese croissant was 3/4 croissant 1/4 ham and egg. Literally thought they gave me a plain croissant for the first 15 bites. I came here because there was a short line compared to McDonald’s. McDonald’s is definitely worth the wait.

We had a really good experience feeding our family here. The counter staff were super friendly and kind in what I'm sure is a stressful job. It's pricey but you have to adjust for airport prices. The sandwiches are far fresher and better tasting than youll find anywhere else in the terminal

Almost got out of line due to newest reviews but glad I didn’t. Only got the sausage egg croissant. It was tasty and warm. Hit the spot for me. Staff were nice, not overly friendly but what do you expect from an airport in the morning. I would come back.

We got horrible food poisoning DO NOT eat here. The bread was so dry and it was tasteless. Definitely got sick from here only meal we had in 21 hrs of traveling.

  • 3/5 Christian W. 4 years ago on Google
The sandwich was alright, certainly nothing special, but okay considering it's at an airport. I wasn't a big fan of the iced tea, it had a strange lingering aftertaste indicating that it was over brewed.

Ordered the Sausage Egg Croissant before my early AM flight. It was a microwaved tough, chewey disappointment thrown carelessly into a paper bag. Should have just gotten a Snickers bar instead. DO BETTER

Got a blueberry scone and a cinnamon roll here. The blueberry scone was very dry and hard with not much flavor. I thought the cinnamon roll would redeem this place but then it had lemon frosting on it?! I saw no mention of that when I bought it. what a huge disappointment since I dislike lemon flavored things. :( If you like lemon frosting, then the cinnamon roll is probably pretty good. Blueberry scone is a hard pass.

Got the mushroom sub and the mushroom was extremely cold. Was told that cheese is extra when the toppings says it’s included. When I told them my mushroom was cold they put it in the microwave then returned it still cold and didn’t offer to replace it.

Definitely a serviceable and pricey option if you order correctly. Jalapeños are an especially odd choice to use as the “hot pepper” option on an Italian sub in the Chi-town area.

Sandwich bread seemed as if it were days old. The women making the sandwiches my brother and I ordered was very rude. As we were giving her our order her immediate response was wait. Didn't even ask what we would like on the sandwich. Neither did she inform us of what the sandwich contained. Mind you this was my first time eating at this establishment. Will never be returning horrible customer service and food is way below average.

All Asian employees who because of their culture or they just hate their jobs are really rude and unfriendly. My ham sub was ok, but for $15 for the sub, chips and small drink, you would think it would be better than good.

Tasty sandwich, served-up quickly! My only caution to you would be that they are generous with the oil & vinegar dressing AND they use paper bags and paper wrappers, so don't just tuck it in your bag to eat on the plane or you might have a mess like I did!

Nothing else is open before 6am therefore this place. I tried a few things. Ham, egg and cheese croissant, cinnamon roll and finally a sesame bagel. I asked for the Ham, egg and cheese croissant to be heated. It was luke warm at best - it wasn't a great croissant. I ate the ham egg and cheese part and discarded the rest. I feel like if they toasted this croissant properly and served hot it would have been a lot better. The cinnamon roll wasn't great, I ate the cinnamon center which was moist and cinnamon-y and acceptable. I discarded the rest. The icing had a strange consistency, it appeared to have separated. At this point I was hoping for the sesame bagel to be good. At 545am I was hoping it would taste freshly baked. It was like eating a day-old bagel from a grocery store. I ate 1/4 and discarded the rest. I tried several things hoping something would be good but, nothing was really was. The two lineups were disorganized and no attempt was made to rectify that or communicate with the customers. The staff, as mentioned in previous reviews are no friendlier than before - months later. In my opinion, when other places are open there are better and fresher-tasting choices for breakfast nearby.

At 5:30 AM there’s nothing I want more than to spread a single mini Philadelphia to-go cream cheese container on a wide, thin bagel after listening to employees moan and complain in Spanish. The bagel wasn’t even good.

I just spent $14.23 on Two coffees and two pumpkin muffins. The worst pumpkin muffins I have ever had. My grandson and I were so hungry too. We both took one bite of them and immediately threw them away. Don’t go there unless you like eating dry cardboard like nastiness.

I ordered an Italian sandwich from the restaurant on 1/16 and proceeded to have food poising over the next 12 hours. The sandwich was the only thing I ate that evening so it couldn’t have been anything else. I suspect the meat was bad. The health department needs to look into this place seeing as others have had similar experiences.
