There’s a few different Segway tour companies operating in Chicago, however after reading the reviews for a few of them, we decided to go with Absolutely Chicago Segway Tours - and they did not disappoint! I literally don’t have any recommendations that would have made it better. We had the best time, and felt so comfortable the entire time. Fred did a fantastic job of first explaining to us how to use the Segway, then showing us some key points for how to stop and how it will react when you take it to its’ top speed, and then letting us get on and try for ourselves. His personality and demeanour is absolutely perfect for this job, and we felt really grateful that he was our guide. Thanks Fred! There’s a little bag on the Segway that you can store your water. Ps. Wear the fun helmets!

We booked the Lakefront and Museum Campus Segway Tour for four. Our tour guide was Hannah and she was GREAT!!! We visited several sites in the area and Hannah gave us some history about each location and did it with humor. We could tell she was passionate and really enjoyed taking us around. The segways were great, easy to use and even had a storage pouch on the front which was great for storing our purses and a compartment for our phones. It even rained a bit and we still enjoyed the tour. The two hours went by quickly. We stopped toward the end and had time to grab a bite. A really enjoyable time. I would highly recommend this tour. Hopefully you will get Hannah as your tour guide!!!

My wife and I were in Chicago for our wedding anniversary and we were so glad to be able to book a Segway tour with this amazing company. It was our first time on a Segway but Clark and Tammy made us feel completely comfortable by demonstrating and informing us on how to operate it safely. We also had a chance to practice before we left on the tour. The tour took 90 minutes and we enjoyed every second of it. It was a beautiful day in Chicago and we saw many attractions in the downtown area. Book with them, you won't be disappointed.

This is a must do tour, I would recommend doing it or as the very first activity after arriving to this beautiful city, or as a farewell tour to say goodbye to the city. We did the 6:00PM tour and it was great, you get to enjoy the city at dusk and early evening and how it lights up. Our tour guide, Jeremy, was great and funny and full of fun facts. Riding the segways was fun and they are quite safe, Jeremy made sure we were all taken care and looked after us. In short words. GREAT EXPERIENCE AND FANTASTIC TOUR TO ENJOY THE BEAUTY OF CHICAGO 👍

Friends and I took a tour today - first time for all of us on Segways. It was AWESOME. I’ll be honest - I was mostly looking forward to trying out a Segway. But I ended up learning a lot and really enjoying all of the information and interaction! I saw that Absolutely Chicago also does a tour at North Beach in Lincoln Park - so, I definitely plan on doing that one, too. HOT TIP from a newbie: be sure to tip your tour guide as you would your waiter! I was glad I happened to have grabbed cash in the morning. Five stars for 3 reasons: 1. SAFETY Training was very well scaffolded (a gradual release before heading out as a group). It took just under a half hour, and by the time the actual tour started, we all felt pretty confident. Throughout the tour our guide was constantly monitoring the group to make sure all are ok, on board, and comfortable. So, from start to finish I felt very safe and looked after. 2. TOUR GUIDE QUALITY Our Guide (Pat) was very charismatic, funny, clearly experienced, and knowledgeable. He shared facts and stories with wit and an engaging cadence. From other reviews I've read, it seems Absolutely Chicago makes sure their guides are personable and knowledgeable. 3. LOCATION This tour was called “Lakefront/ Museum Campus,” - the route felt conducive to groups of Segways (I was skeptical of this before the tour), and still included stops with architectural, historical, artistic, and city view significance. I'm a Chicago resident, and seeing Grant Park, the unique city skyline, and Lake Michigan I don't think will ever get old...

I had fun, never done it before and really enjoyed the experience. Our tour guide made sure to remind us every chance he had that he lives off tips which got frustrating. Yes, he did a good job and was friendly. I think by default if I knew paying for a rental I had to pay for tips I would definitely still tip for a friendly experience, just don’t over do it and make the experience about tipping. Great staff otherwise and made things fun. Keep up the great work.

This is definitely how to see the town right in a short amount of time! Christoph, the tour guide, was very informative and would highly recommend him and the tour.

We had a great time on our Segway tour with Sarah. She was a wonderful tour guide who gave us a lot of insight on all the architectural buildings. We would definitely do another Tour with a different theme with Sarah again

As enjoyable as the means of travel was, it was elevated by 100 folds by the guide herself. Entertaining, knowledgable, amicable... a complete JOY ! It could not have been better with anyone else. And to anyone who's concerned...a SEGWAY is one of the most NATURAL vehicles I've ever had the pleasure of using. Took minutes to get a handle on it, and it was fun throughout! We had a great time. Our family ranging from 13 years old up to 46 year old, quickly got the hang of driving the Segways. Tammy was our guide and was extremely informative. The tour included very interesting facts about many different sights and she made it fun to learn. I would highly recommend including this on your next visit to Chicago. When we return, we will definitely take another tour. The location and parking was super easy to find and was near many other attractions so you'll be in a great parking spot for the entire day.

What a fun and unique way to explore Chicago. Ian did a fantastic job teaching us how to safely operate the Segway. We made several stops where Ian would give us in-depth information about the various landmarks. Would definitely do it again!

Must do! We had Keri as a guide and it was so much fun! It was our first time on a Segway and it only took a few minutes to figure it out. You have a training session before you go. There were 7 of us (4 of us were together) so it was a nice small group. It’s very easy to ride on. The tour was very good. So glad we took it.

The tour was simply amazing, thanks to our guide, Jeremy. It was quite fun and informative and had amazing views throughout. This is a must do activity for the first time visitors in Chicago.

We loved our tour today and our guide Annie. The Segway was easy to maneuver none of our 7 person group have ever operated one. She made it simple to learn. The tour took us all around to see some excellent sites. We had a blast. Highly recommend!

Matt and Clark were absolutely fantastic. They were funny, educated, and so so kind. They were willing to work with our large group, but knew us all by name and checked up on us regularly. I was very nervous but they soothed my fears! Definitely recommend!!! The tour was beautiful!

It was really cool. Had a guide named Ian he was very upbeat and happy and extremely pleasant. Had a lot of knowledge about the city. Took us to the most beautiful spots. And really good at teaching how to use the Segway. It was a really fun tour and definitely worth trying if you're visiting Chicago.

We caught the last night of fireworks during our tour- so cool! Our tour guide, Matt, did a great job telling us about the history of the city and taking us to iconic sites throughout. The Segways were so easy to maneuver and fun to ride!!

Our party of 6 had a fun time with Cari! She was funny and informative! Easy to ride on the Segway, even for those of us who were nervous. We stopped Buckingham Fountain, the museum campus, and Soldier Field. Highly recommended!

Just a GREAT time! Cari was the best. We were a party of 7 so was just us and it was a lot of fun. We did the 9 am insider tour and got to see lots of Chicago. And Cari called me by my nickname AB, named after my beer! Thanks Cari

What a great experience. We have taken many Segway tours but never had this much fun. Tammy our guide is full of energy, informative, and just fun to be around. We did the evening tour and got to experience the Wednesday fireworks show on Nave Pier, a really nice show. There were 2 groups and 2 different guides, both guides were full of energy and ready to have fun. What a great time! Highly recommend!!
