This waterfall is known as Horinmara Kundo Waterfall (হরিনমারা কুন্ড ঝরনা). The waterfall has a beautiful basin underneath with pristine green water that was slightly colder. The waterfall was dropping directly on that basin. And it doesn’t have any space at the front side (blocked by a small mound). That’s why it is not possible to get a full view of the waterfall from the front (or any places). Once upon a time, this area was having a lot of wild deers. However, by the grace of our greedy human nature, they have almost been vanished. During that golden era, lot of deers used to come here near the basin to drink water. This basin was always filled with water regardless the season. And the deers used to slack their thirst from here. And we shameless human used to hunt them from here. That’s why the name of the waterfall is Horinmara Kundo Waterfall.

Those who likes waterfall, streams would like this place. You would find 3 or 4 waterfall at the same place. You will feel the green and the tranquility.

A great waterfall in this area. There are more than 10 waterfall available near this location. It is a beautiful waterfall one of them. Water flow is very high speedy & location is not crowded. So people can enjoy their time for a long time at there without any crowd. The way is simple. So children can also go there.

Horin Mara waterfall! An awesome place for one day outing from Dhaka city. The greener beauty will charm you body & soul. If you are tired & exhausted enough, you can make a day long plan to Horin Mara waterfall. There are another two small waterfalls around 5 minutes walking distance from Horin Mara. It'll take around 45 minutes walk to go to the waterfall from Choto Kamaldaha Bazar. You can manage a local guide from the bazar for hassle free route direction. It will take only 200-250 BDT for a local guide. Never forget to eat at Driver Hotel at Choto Kamaldaha Bazar (Old one, Tin shade building). The interior & decoration of the restaurant is old & not so furnished but the food quality is good enough & tasty with cheaper price. Tips 1 - Use hiking sandal. Carry water & some dry foods with you. Tips 2 - You will get best view during monsoon. Tips 3 - Back from there by the present of daylight. Tips 4 - Carry some salt water with you to protect from leech.

A decent place to take some fresh air. Provides the facility of camping beside the large lake. A place that will not frustrate if visited.

Rainy season is best for this place. I wont recommend to go in winter. You can also camp here.

This place has water during moonsoon. It’s one of the easiest trail in Sitakundo also you can ho back home before 6pm.
