A fun experience but I don't see myself coming here again. The toast slices are yummy, fresh, and cut into thick slices, but honestly you can source some of your favorite toasts, butters, and jams on your own at home and it'll be the same (and faster!!) experience. The staff are kind but unbelievably slow. We arrived at 10:00 but didn't enter until 11:05. There was a line out the door, and the staff knew this yet they left over half the tables open, and it took about 15 minutes for them to begin cleaning up a table after its customers left. If you look at the pictures, you can see how many tables are left empty or left uncleaned, along with the line of people outside. If you have a lot of time to kill, then it's worth a visit. But definitely not if you're only here a couple days – there are so many other great places worth eating at and seeing!

I visited this place years ago, and the bread here is exceptionally fine. They offer a unique experience by allowing you to choose your toaster and providing a selection of 10 styles of jam and 3 types of butter from various regions across the world. The bread itself also hails from different regions worldwide. While these offerings have become somewhat common in society lately, this visit managed to evoke memories from my last trip here, and it remains impressive.

There are two types of people in this world. One that loves the the Centre Bakery, another that doesn’t know they love the Centre Bakery yet, imho. When you approach the bakery, expect to see two long lines, the left one is for those who wish to dine in, and the right one for those who wish to by white breads to go. And if you wish to dine in, they won’t let you in unless everyone is present. They have the best white bread and the best sandwich. I recommend the egg sandwich, the French toast, and the strawberry whipped cream sandwich. Everything on the menu is awesome.

It’s a really good sandwich cafe near Yurakucho station in Ginza area. This place is specialized in sandwiches and that’s all they got. I got teriyaki chicken sandwich and club house sandwich. Both tasted amazing. I even order BLT sandwiches to take it home. The place is kinda small and not good for big group and they often have waiting line.

BEST bakery-restaurant ever. They have mastered the art of making “shoku-pan”, essentially bread that goes with the main dish. There are three different types of toast they focus on, each has its own distinctive flavour and texture. The butter and jam set menu is enough to make an adult happy and want for more. Great interior and very thorough explanation of their service too. There’s not enough words to describe how awesome this simple yet fantastic place is. The only thing to watch out is that there’s always a lineup in the morning so be sure to allocate enough time to come here. I’d give it a 6 stars if Google allowed me!

There’s selection of bread you can choose and you can bring the toaster to toast at your table The French Toast is very soft and fluffy while the portion is very big so you may share the dish The drink price is quite high.

Fun concept and cute interior but I don’t see myself coming back. Tbh, everything was just mediocre in taste. Toast was just okay-no milk taste, honestly I had a lot better Japanese white toast in LA. Jams were okay as well. Nothing really stood out. With a better toaster at home, will definitely not come back for the average toast. Maybe the best thing was the french toast. So glad we came before lunch -we took advantage of breakfast specials and got a bargain for our meals. I don’t see myself paying more than we did for an average toast. Great customer service though!

Such good fun. We got the toast set and the french toast with whipped cream. Both were absolutely delicious. Getting to choose your own toaster and toast the amazing bread was a real highlight. Can get busy so get there early to avoid long queues / disappointment. They also stop serving the bigger menu at busier times (in between 10:30 and 11:30 I think), so get there at 10 if you want some more options.

Awesome bread (prefer the Japanese version) at Centre the Bakery Ginza. You can choose your toaster for your normal toast bread. But the MUST HAVE is the French Toast. It’s out of this world…

Was looking for a bakery wanting takeaway food and chose this place. What we found was very fancy, we felt a little underdressed wearing tourist clothes. Reminded me of places that do fancy 'high teas'. So, we decided to eat-in. Good variety of food. Lovely decor, good atmosphere. Plenty of staff. English menu for those needing it. Prices are on the high side but reflective of the venue. Food made fresh. Expect a wait, queing outside, especially at lunch time.

Strange concept where you can pick your own toaster and make toast at your table.... But we tried the French toast instead. It was very well made and quite savoury. But the cream and maple syrup balance it out well. Very well presented, and professional staff, spoke English and provided an English menu.

Never much of a sweet-tooth, but this restaurant pulled me in to try their strawberry sandwich. The restaurant is around 5 minutes walk from Yurakucho JR Station. This bakery is spacious with around 20 tables, but I still need to queue for 40 minutes. There is a time limit of 90 minutes when you are dining here. The strawberry sandwich (¥ 2,500) was well-balanced. The bread, strawberry and creams blended harmoniously to create the perfect strawberry sandwich. The strawberry was sweet and sour, and brought a freshness to the dish. The creams didn’t overwhelmed the flavor of the strawberry. The bread was fluffy enough to hold the sandwich together without changing the texture of the dish. If you ever want to eat a strawberry sandwich, highly recommend to try this extraordinary sandwich.

One type of bread, three variations: Japan, US, UK. Each using different flour, resulting in different taste & preferences (toast or raw) Love the concept. You can pick your own toaster & bring it to the table.

Changed bread for me forever. I never thought I could have a true appreciation for bread until I tried theirs here. We ordered the jam and the butter set so glad I went with other people so I could try their sets haha. They give you the option to choose your own toaster which is pretty fun. The service was quick and the different types of bread they give you is unique and they recommend different ways to experience the bread some with jam some without anything and some to enjoy without toasting so do your best to read before you enjoy! We just missed out on the katsu sando since we came too early but would recommend to try since I heard so much about it! Will definitely be coming here again when I visit Tokyo again! Oh and it's two different lines! One for the bread shop and the other for the restaurant be sure to be in the right line :-)

If you’re a bread lover, this place is for you! It has a fun concept of having the toaster on your table and toasting it yourself. The cheese toast is heavenly! They also have a variety of sandwiches I tried the tuna and the egg and it was so good. However, the service is slow and the coffee is average but its still worth a visit.

The sandwich tasted good. Unexpectedly that not too many tourists during my visit. Good place for a break at Ginza. There was quite a long queue after our dining.

Great tasting loaves to start off the morning! Sandwich menus only available after 11am as they only serve toasts in the morning session (it was fun toasting bread with the toaster on your table and trying the different types of butter and jams available). After 11, try the delicious and juice sandwiches!

Very interesting place for a quick snack break. The bakery offers a platter with three different toasts (bread using different flour) and an amazing selection of jam and butter. The French butter offered was superb and the day we went they had a chestnut spread which I liked a lot. For takeout, there is usually a long line to take the loaf of bread to go. Generally no line for dine in (except around lunch time). This would be a 5 star if prices are a bit cheaper (paid about 8 bucks for a cup of ice coffee).

One of the best shoku pan I’ve ever had. The shokupan, you can buy only morning.

Nice restaurant but their bread wasn’t all that exceptional. Though it’s cool gimmick to let their own customer toast their own bread by picking their favourite kind of toaster. Those cheese on bread is pretty good so I recommend others to try.

Amazing! This is a must try in Tokyo. The bread is sooooo fluffy and airy. I love the concept of toasting your own bread and choosing the condiments. Everything we ordered was great except for the cheese it was quite pungent.

Good price and good quality. Instead of walk to that bread store near my house saying himself is famous, I rather take a train to buy this one. It’s really worth you to spend a ticket to come here. For the record, I spend 1600 to come this station. Therefore I always buy three at once.

Food is good but the waiting time is too long. I've waited in the line for 2 hrs. Beef cutlet is the best

So I have a weakness for french toast, couldn’t resist ordering one when i strolled past this bakery. Likely one of the best french toast i had tasted. The exterior is panfried to a golden light brown and the interior is so soft it felt like custard. It would be 5 stars if it was tag less sweet.

Highly recommend getting the bread butter and jam set! Would come back just for this— it comes with your choice of bread from three countries, three different butters and 5 different jams. The raspberry and orange jam was amazing and I loved the Japanese bread (not toasted). Also got wagyu Sando which was delicious but personally feel like it’s a bit pricy for what it is, and same for the fruit sando. However, both tasted great.

Needed a place to sit down after walking around the area. This place was perfect for that. A shame they do not make cakes but the atmosphere is relaxed and staff are great. Sandwiches are excellent quality and bread is heavenly - even the crusts! Coffee could be bigger and ice could be smaller but otherwise a delicious choice for all!! ❤️✨🙏🏻

Waited 40 to get in. The reason is not bcos its so good. Its bcos the place is so inefficiently run. There r empty tables but not enough service staff to clean n let us sit. There r empty tables they could have seated 1 or 2pax ppl behind us but is rigidly only allowed ppl in the queue to sit one grp by one grp. I think the popularity is not due to food taste, but probably the slowness in service created some illusion ppl r queueing up. Not worth the wait. This is a weekday morning .

Came here for tea time. Had a very pleasant experience here. Staff is friendly and patient to explain how it goes around here in the cafe. We get to choose our “personal” toaster to toast our own bread, choose our jam spread. The kids had a fun different experience by seeing the bread pops out of the toaster. Reli recommened to come by if you’re around the area or finish shopping nearby Ginza

😠 I went there today and the service was terrible. I would give the service 0 stars if i could. First off, we waited in line for an hour to get in, and when we went in, most of the tables were empty. Our order was mistaken multiple times, the waitress insisted on talking to my friend who didn’t speak...

👍 The ricotta hotcakes are to die for, so fluffy and light. I would come back just for the hot cakes. The granola bowl was refreshing. The Fresh-Aussie was ok, the toast was the best part of the dish. We both had the fresh carrot and ginger vodka drinks we good and somewhat healthy.
