Room has not been cleaned properly before. There weren't enough towels for the number of guests and one of them was ripped. The glasses were so dirty that they were stuck to the counter. Overall an unpleasant stay.

Unfortunately the accommodation conditions we had were disappointing. The lack of air conditioning made sleep very tiring. The lack of hot water and the internet deepened the disappointment even more.

I stayed here for two times this year on my business trip to CLUJ-NAPOCA. Clean, good continental breakfast. Employee's very helpful and nice. Only 10-15 min walk to center of town. 5-10 min to bus and train station. Good speed on WiFi connection.

I don't understand those negative reviews. You get what you pay for! It is a nice hotel with good service. Yes, next to the train station but if you're not stupid: you've seen this before booking! The breakfast is lovely, the rooms are nice. The bed slept well. Just a little bit warm, but for me this is okay. I requested breakfast earlier because I needed to go on a train the next morning and this was not a problem. For me: 5 star recommended! If you're looking for a good and cheap place to stay with nice breakfast!!!

The room was not clean, dusty and lots of stains. There is no air conditioning, only a old noisy fan. I did not notice that the shower door was broken an almost fell on me when I tried to close it. The hotel is close to public transport

I had booked 1 night but arrived in the city at 7:30 am, way early for any check in. I wasnt hoping for my room to be available until the scheduled time. However, I was greeted by a very kind receptionist, she was English-speaking and allowed me to check in early which was absolutely fantastic due to cold weather outside and overall situation. The room itself is completely fine for the money they ask. Hugely recommend this hotel!

I would like to highlight above all the treatment received by the reception girls, their kindness and their ability to solve any inconvenience you may have. Thank you!

For the hotel staff and temperature in the room I will give 5 stars, the reservation being made at the beginning of December. For the humidity in the bathroom and hygiene/cleanliness I will give 0 stars. I suppose that a solution against the mold in the bathroom and in the mini fridge would not have been very expensive. The breakfast was suficient, good but not a lot of variety. I realy hope you would rezolve the probleme with the mold...it is not verry healthy. Also perhaps you could add a key to the front door, if somebody came in late and doesn't whant to disturb.

Conviently located if you're traveling by train, close to the train station. Rooms are quite dusty, they didn't tidy up the room while we were away. Breakfast is quite decent. If you need to iron your shirts they can borrow you an iron. Noisy because of the tram & cars. Pillows - very old & uncomfy, linen - old looking, does not smell fresh. Bathroom ok but shower drainage clogged.

In the first night at 5.00 a.m the bed started to break. (We were acomodate in an apartment). we woke up and see that a part fall off. the next day at breakfast there were no more cups of tea and also there were no more vegetables. in the bathroom after you take a shower, the bathroom turns into a swimming pool.the smell of dampness in the whole apartment, the mattress covered with a thin sheet also smelled of dampness

The rooms were very clean, my main complaints were that the floor squeaked when you walked on it, which is expected as its an old building. And secondly the noise from the trains and traffic downstairs could be heard from the third floor so it was hard to sleep. Besides those, the building was kept clean, I like the decor , the staff was very helpful and the breakfast was great for the price. If i need an early train from Cluj-Napoca I would return there for a night since its only 3 minutes from the train station.

Stayed for two weeks here, it was fair but not good enough. We took two apartments and one of them was overlooking the street and it was super noisy when trams and trains pass by. Breakfast was 5/10 as it didn’t feel any good at all but acceptable for a fast snack. The underground parking is a great feature but be aware as it is very steep

I chose the Junior guesthouse in Cluj because it included parking. Unfortunately, that's the only positive thing I can say about this guesthouse. The staff seemed very disinterested, probably because all the ladies working there were unwell (either with colds or dental problems). Additionally, the lady preparing breakfast was coughing severely and appeared quite ill, so I had breakfast elsewhere. The Room 2 where I slept had no windows facing outside, so there was no way to get fresh air. Furthermore, the noise from the lobby downstairs in the evening was impossible to ignore, and I couldn't fall asleep until the chatty guests in the lobby went to bed. On the same morning, the lady's cough while preparing breakfast woke us up at 6. There was mold and bacteria in the shower cabin, and the ventilation hole was filled with dust. Overall, the dismal conditions gave the impression that even the bed linens weren't clean (although they were). I will never book at the Junior guesthouse in Cluj again, and I strongly advise against it in any way.

We stayed in a one-bed apartment on the first floor. The building is adjacent to the main train station and a very busy street so constant noise from cars and trains. The apartment itself is spacious but the kitchen is not fully equipped as listed but with only 3 plates (one of them of the disposable type), a few cups and glasses, 2 forks, 2 spoons and ONE knife. There's a hob but absolutely no pots, pans or any cooking utensils. The breakfast is somewhat limited, both on food choices and actual space in the room. Very uninspiring and, I'll call it what it is, poor quality. They had no black teabags left, only herbal etc. I asked for more teabags but was told there was no more! The shower is of the "wet room" type (meaning there's no glass panel or curtain) but somehow the design is totally flawed and the whole place becomes a paddling pool after a couple of minutes. There's no adequate drainage and that water just sits there till evaporation happens. No mop provided either. Cleanliness left a lot to be desired as suggested by some rather gross stains under the toilet. The Wi-Fi did not work for a single minute during our whole 3-day stay despite speaking to reception staff after arrival (that's the first thing you notice these days) and nothing was done to resolve the problem either. On our second day I tried to complain about the lack of Internet connection again but the lady at the reception was a different one from the previous day. Not only she knew nothing about it but she did not speak any English either. With the help of Google Translate she did try to help us and actually came to the apartment and tried to fix the router by the usual on-off switch method. That had already been attempted many times to no avail and she soon gave up and left after saying that "she'll let the boss know". Such a coincidence - that's exactly what the other lady said on the previous day! Overall, the whole experience could have been a lot better. Like some people say, you get what you pay for but (for Romanian prices) we seem to have been shortchanged. We will not be coming back here.

The noisiest location ever, close to the tram tracks. Do not pay in advance if you want the staff to clean your room or change your towels. Oh, and don't bother calling the police in case there's something missing from valuables. The joint is owned by a cop, so don't bother filing any complaint. Avoid this place at all cost!

Very old, broken furniture, broken bathroom, bed lingerie dirty, noise from all train. One person do everything, cooking, housekeeping, receptionist. They must invest massive.

They cancelled my reservation made on booking. I wasn.t offered an alternative. So I don't recommend this place.

The accomodation was as advertised. The room was fairly clean and we had plenty of heat. The breakfast was decent but it was the same every day so if you stay for longer you might get bord of the same food. There is free parking available in a small courtyard next to the building. The train station is very close to the hotel. The only downside we had is that the noise levels from the trams and the trains is quite high, but we got used with it.

Personel is great and very kind. Location is near trainstation and is quite loud. Rooms has no AC and the bed is unconfortable but i liked the shower - it has good water pressure 🙂.

Small but has it all, suitable for travellers, very close to the train station, with friendly staff (if you come to Untold festival and have nowhere to stay, this is a good place)

The rooms are really nice and a staff is really helpful and friendly. Will change to a 5 star ad soon as the whole place is finished, a few place being under construction.

It's a beautifully arranged place to stay while in Cluj. The prices are medium-level. I only had like 2 problems. One was that it was kind of cold, specially in the bathroom where there was no heater. Another was that they should execute a plan of better keeping roaches away because I saw one in my 2 night stay and even if it didn't ruin my stay or anything (I'm not that sensitive to seeing bugs), others could consider it something inexplicable and they could lose future comeback clients. Again something that was not a problem for me but could be for others is that it's literally next to the train lines and the city's train station and it could be too noisy for some people if the windows are kept open (generally, with the windows closed, there is a pretty good isolation from the outside noise). I'm leaving this honest review and rating not because the place left me with a bitter taste, I actually left Cluj satisfied after staying at Junior. I'm leaving it because I want them to perfect the place so that more and more people could be satisfied.

I like to go there when I travel to Cluj. Clean rooms, very close to the train station. Excellent breakfast and coffee. Great value for the money. The center of the city is 15-20 minutes away on foot.

Really average pension. I wouldn't recommend. Don't trust pictures about breakfast in booking or other websites, seems to be nice and in the morning they bring you a take away meal in a plastic bag. No english speaking staff. Impossible to connect to internet in 2 days. No one could give me a correct password. Not to repeat again.
