We can only begin to express how grateful we are to have this goldsmithing experience with Jen and Anne in creating our wedding rings for each other. We were already thrilled to have the opportunity to make each others rings, but did not know what the experience would exactly entail leading up to it. The entire experience working with Jen and Anne surpassed every expectation. We were welcomed into their workshop and it was immediately apparent it would be a private session with thoughtful instruction and unrelenting patience that allowed us to be 100% hands-on for the entire experience of making our rings. Jen and Anne were masterful in their ability to guide us in the fundamental techniques to sure we would be successful while allowing for as much creativity as we desired in making these rings unique and special to us. Not only are they gifted instructors, they are beautiful people who made us feel incredibly welcomed and created a fun atmosphere that we will remember dearly for our lifetime. Looking at our rings reminds us not only of the craftsmanship we employed for one another, but brings us back to a day full of laughter, love, creativity and creation. After hearing about our friend’s experience at The Smithery with Jen and Anne we knew that we wanted to go and do the same. With no experience or idea of what we were getting into, we left with an incredible experience and the rings of our dreams! Jen and Anne were so accommodating, patient, and knowledgeable. They went out of their way to make the day personal, memorable, and fun. Lunch and dessert was provided. It felt very Covid-safe as we were masked at all times. The Fort is also such an incredible building with a lot of old character and charm. I loved getting to look around during some downtime. I look at our rings all the time and am amazed that we made them with our own hands. This memory is going to last a lifetime.

I have always been impressed with Anne and Jen's work and enjoy adding their pieces to my collection. So, I was thrilled when my partner and I participated in the Wedding Band Workshop. Anne and Jen were very welcoming and created a relaxed and supportive experience. They are excellent teachers and made the process understandable and easy to execute. We love our rings, but really loved the experience of making them. The workshop is a unique opportunity to slow down, spend time with your partner, and create truly meaningful rings. They took pictures throughout to document the process, which is a great addition to engagement/shower/wedding photos. My fiancé Mickey and I made our rings with Anne and Jen and had the absolute best time! Since I looked up this workshop I had never heard of a place where we could've made our own wedding rings, which is what I have always wanted. Jen was patient and an incredible instructor, and our rings turned out great! I am so happy with them. We were even able to bring our dog, Chloe, which made the whole day that much better! My fiance and I did the wedding band workshop. Anne and Jen (the owners) were incredible teachers, encouraging us through the whole process. They took pictures of us working on our rings. And our rings couldn't be more perfect 😊 10/10 would recommend!

We just got back from the wedding band workshop and wow! 100/10. Jen and Anne are incredible artists, and just as importantly, amazing teachers. My husband and I both appreciated their enthusiasm in their work and desire to teach. The quality of our rings is far better than any rings we looked at in a typical jewelry store. They were also super accommodating and I felt as though they were genuinely interested and invested in us creating super high quality rings. I cannot stress how perfect this experience is. Keep in mind if you do choose to participate in their ring making workshop that you will likely be spent afterwards. For many, this is like learning a new skill. We were exhausted mentally from learning all the new skills and a little bit physically from all the new and sometimes awkward hand-holding positions. This class is designed for everyone, so don't shy away, but just ensure you give yourself some grace as you learn because I promise that you will leave with your expectations exceeded and proud of what you make (and take home). I seriously could go on. This is an absolute must for all couples who enjoy the art of making!

Jen and Anne do an incredibly wonderful ringmaking workshop, and anyone who is interested really should do it. My fiance and I had a lot of fun making each other's wedding rings, and I can't recommend it enough.

Hands down the best experience in all of the wedding planning! My partner and I came to the Smithery to make our wedding bands. It was an extremely meaningful experience for both of us. Jen and Anne were welcoming and excellent teachers! Their patience (they spent time three months before our workshop to help us pick out the designs and then exhibited further patience in the actual workshop) and care for the craft are out of this world. We could not have asked for a better time and the MOST beautiful rings. We still cannot believe we made them. We have and will continue to recommend it to anyone. This shop is just incredible. While you might pay a visit for its jewelry (simple! elegant! utterly unique!), you'll end up staying for the care and friendliness of its owners. Anne and Jen are such knowledgeable and fun folks, and they'll make sure you find the piece that's perfect for you! From another side of things, my partner and I had the privilege of making our wedding rings in a workshop there--and I can't overstate how absolutely great the entire experience was. Not only was our teacher endlessly patient and reassuring, but she ensured we left with products that were nothing short of the beautiful, professional visions we had in our heads. My fiancé and I had the pleasure of creating our wedding bands at The Smithery and could not have had a more incredible experience. Anne and Jen have curated an extraordinary experience from start to finish - the workshop space is beautiful, Anne and Jen are skilled artists as well as warm and inviting hosts, and we left with our dream wedding bands (despite our anxiety about our lack of metal smithing experience). I could not recommend this workshop enough, I am grateful for the memories made during the workshop and our unique, gorgeous wedding bands.

Anne and Jen are phenomenal artists and teachers. We made our own wedding bands back in February and Eric and I both thoroughly enjoyed creating each other’s band. We highly, highly Recommend booking a workshop and working this into your budget- worth every penny and then some. I cannot recommend working with Jen and Anne enough! It was such a special and unique experience to make our wedding bands. Jen made everything so simple and fun from start to finish. My fiancé and I are so in love with our wedding bands and the memories that we created while making them for each other. It’s definitely an experience we’ll always remember when we look at them.

We had a great experience at The Smithery! Jen and Anne were wonderful hosts and teachers. We were able to make a pair of rings that are entirely our own. Now our wedding rings are even more symbolic of our bond, because we made them for each other! Not only are they full of sentimental value, they are also incredibly beautiful, thanks to the guidance of Jen. She shared so much about the process and helped us as much as we needed every step of the way. We are so excited to wear them when we get married in a few months!

Their wedding band workshop was fantastic. Jen and Anne are easy to work with, and also really nice people. We had a fun time at the workshop, and they took photos which came out incredible and captured a great memory. Most importantly, we LOVE our rings. Jen and Anne at the Smithery are INCREDIBLE! I reached out at the beginning of June with a long shot question about coming to make a ring for my wedding at the end of June. Within 2 days of reaching out to them we had a plan for me to be there the following week. It’s even crazier considering I live in Texas and had to schedule a flight to Ohio. Nonetheless, they embraced my adventure and were flexible about when to start the workshop due to me flying in and out that same day. To top it off, the day before I was supposed to be there, they were having rolling outages due to the heat. They called and let me know they had no power, but they were willing to still be there or reschedule depending on what I wanted to do. It was already a wild adventure, so I said why not?! If we could make a ring without power, let’s do it! We had a great time that day regardless of the fact that we had no AC. We worked using the sunlight and lots of hard work. They made the day fun and definitely one to remember! I am so thankful I found them online and was able to have the experience of making a ring with them! They also do a wonderful job of taking pictures during the workshop to help you document the day. I have attached some here for my day. Thank you Jen and Anne for the experience and helping me make the ring of my husband’s dreams. We both love it so much!❤️

Worth every penny! The process of making each other’s rings was equally fun and memorable. We immediately vibed with Jen and Anne and had more than a few laughs throughout the day. Although the process uses finger muscles we didn’t know we had, we were able to work at our own pace and were never rushed nor did we feel stuck since Jen and Anne were there every step of the way! If anyone is on the fence, I would definitely recommend The Smithery as you will be making more than just your wedding bands, you’ll be making memories that will last a lifetime. PS. When lunch time comes around, we highly recommend the tacos!

My husband and I did the wedding band workshop in advance of our 15th anniversary. It was AMAZING! Anne and Jen were a lot of fun. The rings we made turned out wonderful. Jen did a phenomenal job showing and helping us craft wedding bands that we will cherish forever!
