Tucked at the back of a trendy courtyard, the restaurant is quite traditional in decor but the view from the window is anything but. Opted for the tasting menu and wine flight and had a very pleasant experience. Great food, attentive and helpful staff and some delightful wine. Left feeling very full and at peace with the world. Thoroughly recommended, and not so expensive. Loved it,

Super! Highly recomendable! We had the 35 euro lunch menu and the value for money was great. Nice elaboration, awesome flavors and creativity. Specially good considering that this is Ireland 🇮🇪 the risotto and the beef meat was delicious. Matcha dessert really great. The staff was friendly and kind. I would definitely repeat 😃

Dinner with a view. Impeccable service, fantastic food, very enjoyable experience. We had the mushroom risotto and one of the fish dishes and they were fabulous. Highly recommend and can’t miss experience in Cork

Accommodated a coeliac diner perfectly. We were assured at each course of the dish ingredients and of preparation, and every concern was answered. We were seated at the outdoor pods which were lovely! The staff were wonderfully friendly, atmosphere great. Would 110% recommend for gluten free dining in Cork city

The staff wrre very well versed with the menu and really do know how to hype us up for the upcoming dishes! the only fault would be the pretty radical dishes that were served was a bit much for my conservative palate

Stunning surprise tasting menu, our wonderfully pleasant server took us on a culinary journey that I will remember for a long time. Couldn't rate it more highly. A real treat. A special mention to the head waiter / sommelier whose knowledge on wine and selected pairings really made the menu for us.

Starters were great, mains too. The apple tart was a No No, but the caramelised figs were delicious. Service was impeccable and I can’t believe there’s no service charge! Some things that I found disappointing and should be improved/fixed: tablecloths should be ironed properly; water glasses should be appropriate; Plates should be washed also on the outside and not just the inside. Overall a great experience cause the chef knows what he’s doing. Thank you!

The food was fairly nice, but I think a bit overpriced for what you get. This place has lots of very good reviews so we decided to try it out for my partners birthday. As we have booked the table quite early 5:30 we were like to get the table with the view of the waterfall. We both ordered from pre-set 3 course menu, which is €55. Portions were decent size at least the main and we were also given the bread and some small appetizer. The drinks were quite expensive, €13 for aperol spritz. We got the wrong bill in the end and were asked if we were sure we didn’t order those things instead of apologizing. Overall it was ok, but not impressed.

Wow, what a meal! We came here for a lovely meal at the end of a long weekend in Cork. The setting here is great with a waterfall outside and nice decor inside. The staff were all friendly and attentive right from our arrival. We had the set tasting menu and we all thought it was amazing. I'd definitely recommend trying it because you get to sample so many different dishes and there were all lovely. Definitely stop by here if you are looking for an experience to remember.

What a fabulous restaurant! Beautiful setting up against a beautiful waterfall. Our group sat outside right in front of it. The food is light but very flavorful without being over spiced. We had the Pork Belly and the scallops. Beautiful in appearance and just as tasty. Then we had the duck and the monk fish. The chef was gracious enough to make us a half order of the mushroom risotto which was a Wow! The duck is incredible and the monk fish cooked to perfection. But the risotto is worth coming to Cork just for that. So much so we cancelled our reservations for tomorrow night at another restaurant and are coming back here. Can't get in till 9:00 but I'm willing to wait. Highly recommend and service is amazing.

We went there with high expectations after reading all the good reviews and it was ok. We believe it’s a bit over prized though. The location is good as it is in downtown cork and the staff is amazing.

(Translated by Google) Great restaurant! For 52 euros per person, you will receive a set of starter, main course, dessert and coffee / tea. Cooked everything is incredibly tasty. The pitch is very beautiful. The service is excellent. Not to visit this restaurant while in the city is a crime :) (Original) Великолепный ресторан! We went there to try the Tasting Menu on Wednesday evening, and the place was fully booked, that's a good sign for a restaurant :) from the door, you feel that the staff will look after you very well, they're all friendly and helpful, knowing the menu you can ask about it if you have any doubts. The menu itself is just incredible, it comes with 6 surprises and it's well worth the money! Great food experience just go there and try it yourself, you won't be disappointed!

Great restaurant. Fantastic food, wonderful service and a really relaxing atmosphere. From the minute you walk in the door, the staff will put you at your ease. They have a proper coat rack so no need for coats stuffed on the backs of chairs. The tables are spacious so you’re not on top of the other diners. We went for the Prix Fixe menu. Every dish was very satisfying. It was a perfect amount of food. The complementary taster from the chef at the start of the meal was a nice touch. The wait staff were all very attentive and friendly without being intrusive. Price wise, it’s a bit on the expensive side, but worth it for a special night out. A real treat.

Thank you to the chef and cookers! What an extraordinary place to share an amazing dinner! Mandatory passage to the Michelin guide!

  • 4/5 Nadine M. 2 years ago on Google
Nice food. Staff were nice. Unfortunately no sommelier when we visited, so the surprise tasting menu was with wines which staff had limited knowledge of. Nice selection but wines could have been a bit more varied (that's just a personal taste). It's a lovely quaint location, however I do think the indoor decor could do with an upgrade to match the standard of food and service. I think the decor lets it down a little. Would recommend for some nice food in Cork!

Greene's never lets you down. We were heading for a show so we had the early bird menu. The choices and tastes catered for, even in that limited menu, were extensive and very wide ranging. The wine was suggested and again complimented the food beautifully. The beef main course was soft and full of flavour and texture. A beautiful evening commenced and achieved.

❤️❤️❤️Superbly presented dishes! The pictures don't do the meals justice. In terms of taste & portion size - they surpassed high expectations. Excellent staff who have obviously been trained professionally. Serving staff were great to offer suggestions & the chef was very accommodating to allergies. We will definitely be coming again.❤️❤️❤️

Food was excellent and scenery was beautiful. We went for the very reasonably priced early bird menu: the pork belly and risotto to start, hake and chicken for mains, and the posset and torte for dessert. Everything was tasty - but the fish was the star!

Food here is AMAZING. Such beautiful scenery and nicely decorated. Staff were very attentive. Would love to revisit if we travel back to Cork 🥰😋

A bit underwhelming, as the place has a number of awards and a Michelin mention. Food: The food is alright, however, not that interesting or memorable. We ordered starters, mains, and desserts and found them all to be not very innovative or flavor forward. Atmosphere: The interior is drab and could use a design overhaul. The fountain wall outside is truly lovely, which the adjacent outside restaurant seems to get more of. Service: Not great. The staff were very scripted and not very warm.

We sat by the waterfall and the view was amazing. The service was fantastic with very friendly staff. I ordered pork belly as a starter, braised featherblade beef as main dish and the jaffa cake as a dessert. The appetisers were amazing, starting with homemade bread and absolutely delicious butter. Following were shrimp, gazpacho and chicken pate. They were all absolutely delicious. The starter was really nice. The beef was alright. The dessert was very lovely with a play on the classic Jaffa cake. Overall, it was a very nice experience. Definitely recommend it for a nice fancy dinner.

For the second year in a row we went here for my partners birthday and for the second year it absolutely astounded. While the portions are deceptively small, I assure you will not be leaving hungry or unsatisfied. The food is easily the best in cork city (we've tried a lot) and the service is always top tier. Such attentive hosts and wait staff, such a warm and inviting environment. I can assure we'll be back next year for year 3!

Lovely place, had a nice spot by the door so we had a pleasant breeze in the humidity. Covid measures are well implemented but not intrusive. Food was lovely and wine was morish. One gripe was the cheese board was pathetic given it came at a supplemental charge, no excuse for that in Cork. Overall very good, worth the price for the most part

  • 5/5 Peter O. 4 years ago on Google
I have been here twice (2 hours from where I live but worth the drive), amazing food, 37 euro for 4 courses is good value for the quality food & service. Staff friendly, efficient and well trained. If you want food that is really well presented, very tasty, this is the place. Have a look at my photo of the early bird menu to see what I mean.

Nicely tucked away behind its sister restaurant, Isaacs. Bit on the pricy side but you gotta pay for exquisite food, taste and service. A must try. Highly recommend

It's a lovely spot with created waterfall in the back. The food is nice and reasonable to be fair. Service took a good bit of time but due to the place just being open after COVID-19 lockdown, that is expected. I expect them to adapt and improve tenfold in a week.

Really impressed by Greene's Restaurant, we recently went here for a lovely meal during our staycation. The menu looked inviting but also innovative. A few ingredients that we had never tried before, with mixed opinions. The staff were very accommodating and attentive, with recommendations on the wine list. We went for the 10 course tasting menu. All the dishes served were beautifully presented, well cooked and tasty. There was one mix up with our courses, the service was a little rushed and the strawberry meringue and mousse was a little below par for the main event dessert, however, we had a great meal. It was worth the price, if a few minor issues are resolved, I can see Greene's getting a Michelin Star, watch this space.

Lovely service. One of the places that does social distancing between tables right - it felt very safe to dine here. The scallops were a delight - as are our mains. Such fresh seafood that's wonderfully cooked just right. The beef was full of flavour. The dessert I had could be better - some pieces were definitely less fresh. Atmosphere wise, it's a lovely place. The fake waterfall fixture is very impressive looking.
