Just had most amazing meal here tonight. Brilliant service such a pleasant waitress Ellen I think her name is. 3 hungry young children and super fast service will be back. Also brilliant GF range.

Came here based on a recommendation, staff were nice and attentive. I ordered the noodle stir fry and while the ingredients were fresh, the dish itself/sauce was incredibly salty. I like salt but this was worse than taking a gulp of sea water. Was unable to finish the meal. The meal itself was incredibly expensive for something that was really subpar.

Great staff, nice to think that we were having our meal in an establishment that's doing business for over a couple of hundred years. There was a good vibe there. It is a fine spacious restaurant where one felt their table was easily accessed and overcrowding wasn't an issue. The food was very tasty, with great flavours. Delighted to be in the midst of merriment again after the long spell of Covid 19.

The manager of this bar is extremely condescending and abrasive. I arrived to this bar with a group of people having booked a table a week in advance. We arrived only looking for drinks. After 25 minutes waiting for our table to be ready, we were rudely told we could not just get drinks we had to order food. We asked for a menu and the manager aggressively told us we won’t be allowed to eat here. The sense of importance this man showed was so unnecessary and he spoke to the group as if we were below him. We had apologized for the mix up and asked for menus but he refused to serve us. The way were treated was downgrading. I’ve eaten here multiple times before , the food was always below average but now I know that the service is even worse. Don’t give them your money unless you want to be spoken to like you’re a child

,had a family meal here and usually barrys is good for food and service but there must be someone else after taking over my girlfriend got two chicken skewers with two bits of chicken on each skewer and a portion of chips for 16 euro I had a classic burger with two flat pieces of meat for 18 euro and 1 euro for a easy single cheese 😆 and the best part was I asked for a bowl of pasta plain pasta for my 4 year old 10 euro I couldn't believe it I asked how come 10 euro she said it's 10 euro because you get a free glass of diluted Orange with it lol 😂 I asked for a pint I waited 20 min never got it so we decided to go never again and anyone reading this there's plenty of good decent pubs around , it's like there trying to make as much money as possible,

Had a gorgeous meal here - we didn't have a booking and it was busy but we were immediately accommodated. Staff were lovely and attentive. We got main course, dessert, and cocktails. I'm gluten free and could have loads on the menu. They have a dedicated fryer for chips, and all the sauces are gluten free. I had the burger with a gluten free bun, and mixed berry roulade and both were delicious. Highly recommend!

Took my Mum there for lunch today as a birthday treat. The fish and chips were very good but my review is mainly about the absolutely fabulous waitress who served us. I didn't, unfortunately, get her name but suspect she is originally Eastern European. She was unbelievably kind to my Mum who is in her late 80's and actually accompanied her to the bathroom and waited for her to bring her back to the table. She was kindness itself and we (my Mum and I) both really appreciated it. Such a lovely person with truly amazing customer service skills. Thank you so much and well done to you...it was a joy to have you wait on us. .

Classic place in Douglas, the food is okay, nothing special, the desserts are quite good. Great place to just sit down and wind down after a long day. Worth visiting at least once

We were there Friday before Westlife, obviously hadn't booked. Table no problem. Fantastic place. Nicest burger and chip ever!!! The lovely Paul looked after us. Would 100% recommend.

Something for every age in this pub. We were there to eat. The food and service were extremely good. It's huge and divided into sections. You could be having a quiet pint. Watching the sport on TV. Or over on the far side a place for younger people. I was very impressed with the layout. Advise booking your table for dinner. Wish it was local to me.

Great food, it's a really big place that includes a very bug beer garden. Very nice inside with loads of room and several bars. Great choice of drinks. People there are very nice. I had the vegetable soup, it was homemade and very tasty. I also had the vegetarian burguer which was big and very nice and it came with chips. The loaded chips are also great.

Lovely warm and comfy restaurant, the service was a bit slow but the food was lovely. We were charged for items that we did not order but luckily they corrected the bill.

Great food. We're waiting for our table few minutes but not to l I no. Waiter was fantastic, he didn't use a note pad to take orde r s he remembered them. All 9 without mistake. My fish was delicious but first plate was hot sadly potatoes and veg cold. I called the water and I got another very quickly. Dessert was delicious but no whipped cream with chicken. They had ran out. 😑

The staff were brilliant, polite, and very knowledgeable of the menu. They couldn't do enough for us. The food was scrumptious. We had a wonderful afternoon there and have returned several more times.

Decent local bar - big focus on food these days but plenty of seats for just drinks. Have all the sport on multiple TVs around the place.

I can give this “restaurant” no real stars.. not one of the dishes came out as described on the menu… Peri chicken wrap - very dry missing some ingredients .. Corned beef sandwich - no red onion, no pickle.. both chicken salads were very “wet” .. I appreciate that they washed the salad but if they had dried it then the sauce would have been much nicer.. also the crispy bacon was not even close to crispy.. 3 of us ate our meals as we were hungry .. one of the salads was returned.. asked for chicken goujons (which to be fair are seemingly usually really nice) they were hard and cold.. also returned..the chips were hot and very nice. The only thing that I could recommend were the loaded chips which were delicious..hence the 1 star.. oh yea and the tea which was delicious. I am somewhat gutted as I was taking my niece out for her birthday lunch and it was her meals that were not very nice… Not the best experience for a first and last time patron of this establishment.

Went here on a whim because we couldn’t get parking where we usually go for a family breakfast out. I’m so happy we did because it was far superior in every way. Service was fantastic, it had a lovely calm yet busy atmosphere, great space to get around. The kids loved it too and it was the nicest eggs Benedict I have ever had. Highly recommend the breakfast here.

My wife and I got food poisoning here last October. Despite a few days later emailing them, we never received a response. Understand that covid would have caused staffing issues but I still would have expected a response. Don't order the chicken.

I got the pesto chicken pasta, it was nice... a bit bland and garlic bread was rock hard. Friend got the green curry , liked it. Id like to try the buttermilk chicken burger. Looked good. Good staff, good atmosphere etc.

Nice restaurant with great food, love their burgers! All diners require COVID certificate before you are allowed to sit in. Well done.

👍 Crazy good prices on food and beverages. You sacrifice attentive service, but everyone I talked to there was pleasant and helpful. The food was good and there were actually a number of beers that I have not seen elsewhere in the Cork area. I would not say this is a must do if visiting from abroad, b...
