Daughter went bowling with group of friends @ 8pm. Was asked for ID….to go bowling!! Would not accept her student ID, with photo and DOB. Then told her she couldn’t be on the premises without Government ID. Made her leave and she had to get bus home across city on her own. 😡 What a joke of a place. Wouldn’t give any stars only I have to in order to post review

I went to go bowling with some friends. The guy at the desk asked for my ID… to go bowling… I asked if a picture of my ID would be ok, he said yes. Stood there 2 minutes trying to find it and when I showed it him he said he couldn’t accept it. After already telling me it would be fine… I would recommend going to Leisureplex Cork instead. This one is also overpriced in food.

Had my son's 18th birthday as I'm leaving this review. The front staff are so helpful in dealing with my teenagers.They make sure they are well looked after(no alcohol yet). The lady in white collar (?supervisor) was checking on my boys constantly,as a mom I feel safe.But most of all the FOODS,it was yummmm.Ut was presented so we'll. .

From the initial period of reaching out to Alex to organise our booking to speaking with Sinead along the way everything was absolutely amazing !! We were met by Alex on the night who was very accommodating and dealt with every request we had in a very professional manner !! We kicked off first with bowling which was great craic !! We then had some food which was absolutely unreal !! And finished up with some pool. The team within the mardyke bowling Center were fantastic they kept us up to date with every move we made and made sure we were as happy as possible ! Never have I met such a friendly, well gelled, happy, fantastic group of individuals!! and when they all work together you can see just why and how it all comes together!! The energy and enthusiasm they showed towards us was top class ! We have been in many locations across cork city but this was by far the best and most friendliest and we will most certainly be back again for our events !! Well done and thank you to each and every one of you for making our night as spectacular as it was !!

Good place to have fun with our friends. They have snookers, bowling, and dart games. If you're coming in bigger group it's better to book in advance.

Great place for a few drinks and fun. Pool, snooker, bowling and darts. Food is taste also. Only reason I dropped a star was the electronic dart board had a mind of its own and didn't seem to work right. Other than that it was a great evening. Highly recommended for a group who just wanna hang out,have a drink and have some fun

Great place to enjoy a game of bowling with drinks and food options available too. Just to be aware, the cost is per game, not for the time frame like it used to be years ago.

It's nice. Bowling is €18/game and we finished it in about 20 minutes. €7.20 for a beer which is literally brewed down the road...

I’ve been here a few times and have had mixed experiences. They have A LOT of activities that you can do with friend groups, but you can also chill and watch tv with food. I love the arcade! The last time I was here, I got into an argument with the manager from the bowling alley. We wanted to pay separately, which we had done many times before and also requested in the booking, but according to her it wasn’t possible. She made sure to emphasize she was the manager using a rather demeaning tone, making it seem that I was lying. She should have stayed professional, not have an attitude with a paying customer and operate solution oriented.

Excellent spot for a great time with a wonderful group of people. Stoked to return for some bowling and pool!

We had a great day today. Staff were so lovely. Food was delicious. Bowling and Ping Pong was great fun. We'll be back for sure.

Good place for a party. The bowling lanes dont work properly, gives players extra bowls and the monitors don't add points unreliably (glitchy system). If you want to bowl for the sport I would recommended the leisureplex bowling lanes. If you want to have a laugh and drink and bowl with friends and dont mind the above then come here :)

Such a great venue! Definitely coming back here when I'm in Cork. Has everything you need in one place. Great food, great drink, the best service from a smiley and energetic team and plenty of fun entertainment in a unique space. Top spot

This is an updated review from my original review, that you can find below. So after my original review, the maintainers updated the tables by re-clothing them. However, they did not change the cushions which are still completely dead. Pool table cushions need to be replaced at maximum of 10 years. They replaced the cloth with black cloth presumably thinking they can get away without brushing them down and ironing them regularly. Black shows up all the dirt on the table just as bad, if not worse than other colours. They should just have gone with the standard green. Further more the staff told me not to use blue chalk. I use world recognised predator professional pool chalk (image attached). They want you to use their black chalk, so that its not visible on the table and then they have even less reason to brush down/clean the tables. Their is dirt all over the tables. I'm honestly considering bringing my own brush! It's unfortunate that this the only place it cork to play on WPA pool tables. They aren't really serious about providing a quality service, just selling beers and charging crazy prices for improperly maintained tables. Original review. Tables, haven't been brushed in 10 years. Linted, pockets are loose, rubbers are dead, the list goes on. Terrible facilities

Went here a bunch, they allowed me in as a minor. Today I went for a birthday and this one guy didn’t let us in and said we needed a guardian. We called a parent but the guy said that they’re taking too long and kicked us off premises. He told us to go to leisure plex instead

We had a group booking of 46 for a work night out. Bowling & bbq. It was a great night everyone had a great time. Sinead was extremely helpful organising it & the staff on the night were great too. We will definitely go back.

It's a tad expensive but they have a lovely atmosphere, friendly staff and amazing food. Would definitely recommend for a day out with friends

Nice spot, pool tables are a bit close, and bowling is always busy, although the crew is awesome.

Booked bowling a few days in advance for a Friday evening, received a confirmation email saying that beyond 6pm people under the age of 18 are not permitted entry. I was rejected at the door as the bouncers said it was 21s!! (I’m 20). This should have been made much more clear as it was extremely inconvenient and not displayed on the website and the confirmation email was highly misleading. Turned off going back again.

A wonderful place to visit. Had an amazing time bowling, doing karaoke and playing snooker. The staff is really good and kudos to the manager (lady) and Shaun. Amazing service, tasty food and great ambiance. 10/10

The vibe, food and games are good. Could do with some more extra colorful lighting but it makes sense to the fact that there are more seaters and placed them conveniently next to all games as well. Fair play! Good waitressing services!

Attended for a work party over the Christmas. We got the package including the bowling, pool table and food. The activities were good fun. Food consisted of Christmas themed finger food and pizza which was excellent. Staff were good however when we ordered cocktails later in the evening the drinks we recieved didn't taste remotely like what they should. We would have preferred if they just told us they don't do them rather than them improvising, and we would have ordered something else. Overall would recommend and will visit again in the future.

This was a lovely way to spend the evening. There was two of us bowling and it went pretty quickly but thankfully we were recommended to book two games. It's a nice date night but even better for groups.
