I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Pullman Dakar Teranga hotel in Dakar, Senegal, and I have to say that my experience was nothing short of amazing. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted by the friendly and welcoming staff who made sure that I felt right at home. The hotel itself is beautiful, with stunning views of the ocean and the city. My room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, with all the amenities I needed for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. I especially appreciated the high-quality bedding and the luxurious bathroom, which made me feel pampered and well taken care of. The hotel's facilities are also top-notch. The pool is beautiful and well-maintained, and the fitness center is well-equipped with modern equipment. I also enjoyed dining at the hotel's restaurant, which served delicious and well-presented meals. But what really stood out to me was the service. The staff went above and beyond to make sure that my stay was memorable and enjoyable. From the front desk to the housekeeping staff, everyone was friendly, helpful, and professional. I felt truly taken care of, and it made my stay all the more special. Overall, I highly recommend the Pullman Dakar Teranga hotel to anyone visiting Dakar. It's a beautiful hotel with excellent facilities and outstanding service, and I can't wait to return.

My friend and I loved the restaurant so much we went there twice during a small stay in Dakar. We tried the buffet which was amazing 🤩. The entrée is rich, the main dishes are delicious 😋. But the dessert 😍🔥. My mind was 🤯. Luckily we got to listen to a beautiful group that played some classic songs. Cocktails are great too. Time well spent.

This hotel has good bones. The food is good, not exceptional. The people who work here are good, but there are consistent organizational miscues. Someone takes your food order. You never see that server again. Then the main arrives with no starter. Tables are served out of order from when the orders were taken. The room cleaners work hard, but the halls don't receive a vacuum. Staff shortage? Granted, they were busy, but room service took 2 hours, 20 minutes, and the food temperature indicated the food had been sitting for some time before making it to the room. So, not due to the kitchen who did a good job. The buffet breakfast was reasonable, but missing bowls, utensils, knobs on pot lids, and food and drink labels were consistently missing in action. Management needs training on what is expected and how to achieve the desired quality levels. The Pullman Teranga Dakar advertises itself as a 4.5 stars and charges 4.5 star rates. In reality, it is somewhere between 3 and 3.5 stars. I invite ownership to dine at the nearby Le Lagon 1 to see what a 4.5 star operation looks and tastes like.

We had a delightful experience at Pullman which makes up for its high price. It is kept in good conditions and the staff are always willing to help. They regularly carry on fun shows during the night which adds up to the whole experience.

This hotel is fabulous in Dakar, Senegal. Didn’t stay here but came often for drinks, food, and entertainment. A state of the art facility and vibe in mother Africa.

This hotel was amazing the rooms service was excellent. Very satisfied with our stay here! Want to give out a shout out to Abdoulaye Dieng who was always there to help us with a smile if we needed anything. Overall very pleased and couldn't recommend this place enough

I enjoyed my stay at Pullman Hotel. The staff were courteous, kind and accommodating, especially Ms. Yvette of the Customer Relations Department. I also like the environmental consciousness of the hotel - there was minimal non-biodegradable material use. The rooms are spacious and nicely decorated. Although, I'd have preferred a room with the a view of the Atlantic ocean, not the city. I'd definitely come again!

The Pullman Terranga is a little bit overrated. Employees - although in general very kind - are to often making promises that they don’t keep. The quality of rooms could be better. The restaurant has a very nice view and hotel and restaurant are very well located in the city center. Parking is a problem. Swimming pool on the shore is very nice. As long stay client (more than a month) it took weeks before a got a little bit extra attention and appreciation, that’s a pity. Nevertheless I would choose Pullman again for a shorter stay.

We stayed here for two days on a recent visit to Dakar. Overall I’d say the experience is between a 3-4 star. The hotel location and lobby are perfect to explore the Plateau area of Dakar. It’s super convenient to walk around and explore. The Sunday brunch is also quite a scene and a great place to people watch and admire the amazing fashion of locals. The reason for the 4 stars is because the rooms are just not 5 star quality. We had a really great view but there were small little ants in the room that were attracted to food. Not a biggie but just something to be wary of. Also the bathroom just didn’t feel super clean. The shower drain also didn’t work so even with a 5 min shower the bathroom would pretty much flood. Overall it’s a 3.5 to 4 star experience. We also stayed at the Raddison Blu and preferred the hotel although the location of the Pullman is better.

Wonderful hotel but the only annoying thing is housekeeping. They don’t clean properly, just do the bed and change towels. I’ve seen chunks of my hair remain on the floor and stains still there. It’s just surface level cleaning to pretend. It’s a pity because your hotel will degrade very quickly if you don’t invest in quality cleaners.

Service-wise, this is the best hotel I've ever stayed in in my life. The staff went above and beyond for everything. Also, Moussa was very helpful to my friend and I. The hospitality is so great from the moment we stepped in we were given warm towels for our hands and local juice. Fir breakfast the chef found out I was allergic to gluten and offered to make me a gluten-free sarrasin crepe the next morning. Everything we asked for staff was willing to treat us well. I'm not going to lie I didn't expect such high treatment and fairness as a black woman as I've witnessed on my travels better treatment for lighter skinned people. I was pleasantly surprised so often. It made me proud 🩷🩷🩷 on top of that everywhere I went people were friendly. I've been recommending Senegal to everyone.

A hotel of stark contrasts - like the city of Dakar. Both times I stayed here, there were no towels until persistent demands were heard. Nice pool facilities - probably the best feature. Some staff were super helpful while others were clueless. Make sure you understand basic French in Senegal!

Actually a unique experience there. I very would everyone to experience what I did people there were so jovial and that special enthusiasm. I went here for Sunday brunch and loved everything about it. The food was delicious, service was great, space and scenery was beautiful.

The hotel staff are so polite and welcoming. The customer service was excellent and the food at the restaurant was delicious! The rooms could use better cleaning, and cleaner towels and sheets. Overall a decent experience

I really like this hotel! The staff is nice and polite (especially Anne-Françoise from the reception), the architecture is gorgeous, the food is delicious and everything is very clean. Will come back again!

You can never be disappointed t the Pullman. A friend if mine was visiting Senegal (Africa) for the first time ND I booked accomodation at Pullman. Yes, she was absolutely satisfied. We had dinner on the eve of her departure and it was great. The restaurant A la carte with sea view. The personnel was friendly, the food was great. Service was a bit slow but I understand there were a lot of people for dinner too.

I’ve been staying at this property for the past 4 years. Recently changed because of lack of maintenance around the property. Specially their A/C units not cooling. I do have to praise the staff at the front desk and lobby bar area. They try their best to remedy any situation but are only given limited tools to work with.

We went to Pullman for the pool twice during our vacation! It is a great pool! And service is great! They ran out of towels and soap in the showers??? I guess overwhelmed with clients but they can plan to always have those items … We will visit them again!!

Fantastic for conferencing. The hall was nice but the projector a little low so it was hard to view from the back. The coffees and lunch were heavenly. We got out to the sea front restaurant and that was my favourite.

This is a nice hotel. I was almost discouraged from entering the hotel location. But as I enter, I was a bit more assured on entering the premises. Check in was quite slow and the elevator took forever to respond. Hotel service was good in general Room: the room was VERY neat and well arranged

It’s a very good place. I was there for a brunch this week, it was my first time but that was great. I really liked the hallow atmosphere and the service. I met Anne, for example, and she was very kind and helpfull. I highly recommand it.

The Pullman offers an overall great experience. Friendly and professional staff… very clean rooms. I enjoyed my stay very much.

The area where the hotel is in is the beginning of the business district. Its very busy dirty and a lot of people hang out just outside the gates of the hotel. The beach is not close by nor is it an actual beach to visit. The pool is across the street a short walk but it is not on the actual property. IN REGARDS TO THE HOTEL STAFF: The service is just as poor as their wifi. Initially I was greeted and treated nicely when checking in. That all changed through out my stay. The staff was very unresponsive and unkind to me during my time there. I noticed that the staff would only speak to, or greet certain guest and not others. Where they would acknowledge and engage with some guest they would ignore and be callous to others. IF YOU ARE AN AFRICAN AMERICAN PERSON DO NOT STAY HERE. Unfortunately I have to leave this review so that other as my self do not make the mistake and book a stay at this hotel property. I had a reservation for 3 days 2 night and immediately cut it short. I checked out the same day that I checked in, I left for another hotel later that night. The service and respect from the staff here was so poor. My entire experience at the pullman hotel was surreal. I could not believe the treatment I received. I will never stay here again. It could even be understood that the minds of those that work are pullman are most colonized. I expected better. As I did not expect to be treated so poorly. I was very excited as this was my first time coming to Senegal but it is safe to say that I will not return. Again and I say this strongly, IF YOU ARE AN AFRICAN AMERICAN PERSON DO NOT STAY HERE AT THIS HOTEL. I mean this. Find somewhere else to stay. Senegal is a decent country and depending on where you are from the culture takes some getting used to as with most places. I may return to senegal in the future but let it be clear that the people speak for the country. There attitudes towards African American people is poor overall. And like most African culture its a classist society. For who is reading this : Do not let this stop you from visiting but just be prepared. To The Management Of The Pullman Hotel: elevate your service and be consistent with all visitors. The staff needs to be retrained on how to provide consistent service to people of all backgrounds and races. Also update the photos and information on the hotel website, as it is not congruent with the current state of the hotel and the services offered. Last but certainly not least pay for a better wireless router and service it’s terrible.

Nice hookah and chill spot on week days for after work. The fish soup is good but need some tweaks to make it great. My best time there is definitely for brunch on Sunday, one of our favorite brunch spot hands down.

I did not stay at the hotel but I did have brunch! The staff is super friendly, the atmosphere was awesome but the food was garbage!! Not only was the hot food cold but the meat was dry and tough as 1932 shoe leather! I would not recommend this buffet as it was underwhelming and very over priced! I gave it two stars because of atmosphere and staff but I feel this was generous as I didn't get what I paid for!!

Classic comfort, love their huge ground floor lobby lounge, restaurant, indoor and outdoor bars and plenty of relaxing seating inside and out. Drinks with a friend and a nice Angus beef steak dinner. Staff services are superb, nicest hotel in Dakar.

The rooms were adequate for my needs, had amenities in abundance for my need and use. I loved that. Service may have been challenged by language translation so it seemed there was a lost in translation. Location was perfect as I wanted to be in the city.

Nice hotel, good ambiance and views, which depends on the amount paid i.e. sea view costs more. Lots of rooms to host events and offsites, lovely rooms with great attention to details. Some of the staff were amazing and helpful to needs and inquiries, others were just okay. Service and attention to details in service can be improved. Price-wise, it’s quite expensive as this is one of the best hotels in Dakar, so ensure you check the cost via their website or call their customer service In total, it was a good experience.

Good Business hotel in an excellent location, central and overlooking the bay. Nice large pool and access to a small beach (sea is very cold though!) Rooms are large and well equipped, food is also very good but drinks and the breakfast option are too expensive in my view. Excellent WiFi. Very slow check-in, that should be improved!

Spent a week visiting my daughter she put us up at the Pullman Dakar..from our 1st day check-in to check out just didn't want to leave the place ..centrally located n the room view of the Atlantic ocean was a cliche ..spacious well cleaned n groomed rooms ..breakfast lunch or dinner I was amazed with the African cuisine n made me discover so much about the culture food people music ..we were luck to be present for some local concerts n art exhibitions .. the best part was the spa to relax n pamper muself n swimming pool where I could just relax n dive into pizzas n cocktails ...they have a good fitness gym as well ...am so glad my daughter lives there I can't wait to visit again ..Thank you Pullman Dakar for making my 1st ever visit so pleasant n memorable ...see you soon

The reception at the hotel was very good. Rockyatou especially was an amazing receptionist. She had a very nice and helpful attitude and was very professional and courteous. I was really impressed, and it was welcome, especially after a rather long and frustrating flight.

For a room price of 500 euro I expect more: - loud Music in the night from the live music until 02pm. Complaints are not treated seriously - growded breakfast and not enough staff to deal with the growds - pool was closed for one day because of an event - lobby was always loud - difference between invoice and actual payment

The amenities were wonderful. Jay was my waiter and was so kind and helpful. The pool and the food was amazing!

We had an excellent stay. We were delighted with the welcome we received from Rockayatou! Perfect service from the staff. The breakfasts are excellent, varied choice of dishes of great quality. The sea view rooms offer a breathtaking view of the coast, very pleasant when you wake up! The SPA is also great, the massages are of quality, relaxation assured!

Stayed here to treat myself after longterm travel. Worst service I have EVER received in all my years ever at a hotel. Especially for the price. Reception barely pays attention when you stop by. And when they finally do, slower than snails. No one at front desk knows anything about anything. Room service never delivered what I requested despite saying they would. Have received 5-star service and hospitality at budget hotels, and EVEN hostels. This terrible level of service here would not compare even to the worst hotel or hostel. A hard negative. Would NOT recommend even to my worst enemy. Whoever rated this a 5 star hotel must have been paid to lie.

Hotel room is very comfortable and clean and nice. Staff is very cordial. Gerti and Anne were very friendly and warm. Loved the way they welcome guest. Restaurant is at very pleasant location, watching ocean andbirld flying around. Very happy to stay here

Pullman Dakar a lovely place, easy to access I stay there 10 days and the pool is gorgeous and super big! with access to the beach. Yvette in particular, but the entire crew is excellent in addition to being kind and cheerful and working hard. I recommend this place!!!

I come to The Pullman frequently for work purposes. I was welcomed by Thiaba this evening, who was a lovely to chat with and very friendly. The food, music, people, rooms, service, location - all make this place a pleasure and a fantastic atmosphere. Beautiful place I enjoy every time I'm in Dakar. Beautiful Experience. Beautiful team. I felt like a prince during my staying there. Everyone is friendly and always willing to help.
