I have been here several time and I always do the build your burger option. The food comes quick and is pretty good. I have to say, I wish it was a little better seasoned though.

Absolutely loved checking out Basement Burger Bar last time I was in Detroit for a concert. The customizability of the burgers is huge and the toppings are incredible. I washed my burger down with an angry orchard cider and look to return again soon (hopefully have a shake next time). 10/10 would recommend when in Detroit!

Service was so fast, I barely had time to look up to see where my server was before she was asking me if I needed anything. The fries with eggs were tasty and perfectly seasoned, and is this the only place in Detroit serving Faygo?? Either way I love trying a local soda, especially when it's part of a cocktail. Great food, close to Ford Field, and unbeatable service, I'll definitely be back.

What a great place that I found near Ford Field!!! Our server, Amanda was awesome and incredibly friendly. The burgers are huge and outstanding. I also had beer battered fries with bacon, onions and sour cream!! Dammmmmm, it was great. If visiting the motor city, this would be a must stop.

I had no idea what I was getting myself into when I my special someone happily beamed when she said she found another burger spot to try out but I can tell you with certainty that we will be returning again... Basement Burger Bar is spot you can alost miss if you were looking for it and I have definitely.driven by the area several times. The waitresses are quick on their feet and attentive, providing excellent customer service even when thhere is only one person caring to the tables. She came for the banana pudding shake and laughed ind slight with how good it was. The wagyu beef burger that I assembled was a monster and I defeated it! I love burger spots that ACTUALLY cook your meat to your preferred taste. My burger medium all the way through. Overall, I love this place but be warned that if you aren't paying attention, the burger can get quite expensive. Nothing to deduct a star for but just be mindful.

Service was great. Is was very empty but could have been the time I was there. It was a quick stop for a bunless burger. I look forward to returning.

Fantastic! Need a place like this in Cleveland Ohio. Beats Michael Symon and anybody else's burger restaurant. I got no bun on mine the onion rings were great and wife liked the sweet potato fries. I love building my own and adding the pulled pork

Great food, even better service! Went in for a quick bite/burger, the burgers are unexpectedly delicious yummy! If you like burgers this place is definitely worth a shot. Great spot. Parking around the corner. Thanks again for the amazing service!

I really enjoy this place. I came here the last time I was in Detroit on business, which is probably almost 4 years ago and I still remembered if that gives you any idea how much I enjoyed it. I returned today, and it was as good as it was then. The ability to construct your own burger with any kind of topping is fantastic. I had the garlic mayonnaise with smoked Gouda cheese, onion rings, coleslaw, and a ton of other stuff. I know that probably doesn't sound good to a lot of people, but it was fantastic! Really, really good, worth the trip.

Decent burger place. Have a build a burger menu. Downside, you have to pay for special sauces & certain add-ons that come standard.. like mustard, mayo, mushrooms. Also they add 18% gratuity automatically. Service was okay. Would have given her 15% tho. .

Food was delicious and I highly recommend the Kobe beef burger. However everything else was pretty bad. First off the waitress was rude and didn’t have any condiment on the table. I had to ask another table for ketchup because my waitress disappeared right after dropping off the food. Also she spilled my beer and didn’t even offer to refill… service was insanely bad. Even after all that she ended up giving me someone else’s credit card when I payed the bill and to top that off it’s mandatory 18% tipping. Very deceptive tipping practice for a bar… then it hit me! Service was trash because there’s zero expectation to provide a great experience because there’s going to be a good tip regardless. You have been warned! Food is delicious but everything else is a nightmare

I pass by this place all the time and finally had a moment to stop. I sat at the bar and order the Junk Burger with impossible meat and a side order of sweet potato fries. The food was amazing, really caught me off guard as to why I hadn't been here before. The cinnamon sauce that came with the fries was great. The burger came fresh and hot; it was perfect 👌🏾👌🏾. The bartender was cool, friendly and gave good recommendations. I'll definitely be back

Clean facility, friendly staff, good food Cocktail Shakes are delicious. We had Bison Burgers (build your own) shared a lg Onion ring and couldn't eat another bite if we tried. A bit pricey for a burger bar but I'd still go again.

Great burger!!! Nice Bartender!!! I had a Deluxe Burger and a beer. Pretty good burger and cold beer. Had a great time in that area. Lots of different places to visit. Right downtown Detroit.

Great service and good food BUT they automatically charge 15% service charge for ALL DINE IN without ever saying anything, there’s no signs posted and it does not say it on the menu. I’m fine with the charge, I just hate how sneaky it is! 🍔

Tried out the burger bar today for the first time and this was an awesome experience! Our waiter Rachel was awesome and very nice!!! When choosing your food, you can either use the menu with the food already with the toppings and stuff on it or use the menu where you can build your own burger or build your own salad. Also if you are vegan or vegetarian there are options on the regular menu or build your own menu. *Both burgers in the photo are from the build your own menu*

5 stars for my waiter ! His service was better than the food ! I ordered a chicken sandwich , fries and fried pickles. Pickles were good. Grilled chicken sandwich was ok. Beer battered fries were horrible and I should have tried the sweet potato fries. I appreciate that they were still spacing the dining tables ( because of covid ) unlike other restaurants.

The atmosphere was nice, clean, and the staff was friendly. It was nice having the ability to build your own burger with numerous items to choose from, some items free up to a certain number but then costs can add quickly by adding more options or better options. Overall the food was decent but not all that great. Now... one person ordered the bison burger, it looked AND tasted NO different than a regular burger, so who's to say we didn't get just a regular burger at an increased price, and if it was "bison" it wasn't good. We had fries that had sour cream on them, and a pleasant surprise of a hair right on top of it. Stuff happens, I get it, but to pay that much and have it happen, it means quality doesn't match price. Would have told the waitress who was friendly, however she was so busy with running the bar AND trying to manage more tables than a normal place we didn't see her much. When we got the bill it was more than I expected and so looking at it closer I see a "service fee", which i had to track the waitress down to ask about it. OK, if you want to charge a mandatory 15% tip on dine in seating that's fine, but be honest with the customer and tell them, not hide it amongst the bill. I usually tip well and even with cruddy service I still give a reasonable tip, but if you are going to demand 15% then I guess that's all you feel that you're service was worth. But I'm sure many won't notice that and tip additional on top of that, probably why they aren't forthright about it. It was a nice place to try, doubt I'll ever go back though.

Service was great Manager even came out and greeted us because our drinks would be delayed. The burgers are good but not over the top slap yo momma burger. The tater tots were perfect. A nice place just to grab a bit to eat every now and then.

The junk burger is AMAZING!! I highly recommend checking out this place. The have creative ideas on the burger. I'll be back next time I'm in Detroit.

My burger 🍔 was absolutely delicious 😋. I couldn't look up or hold a decent conversation. I was too busy indulging 😂. This burger was way more than I expected. Yummmm. The atmosphere was laid back and safe. I was intrigued by marking on the menu to place my order. The differences at this restaurant made a positive difference. Thank u Basement Burger♥️

I came in to take on their Beast Burger challenge. I was immediately impressed with the interior of the restaurant, and I was delighted to see so many people there enjoying their food and watching the game. The staff there were so friendly and very encouraging of my attempt at their challenge. The Beast Burger was delicious! I also really enjoyed the milkshake and chili cheese fries. The staff and managers there made me feel very welcomed. It was a great experience all-in-all. I definitely recommend this place if you're looking for a nice, relaxing spot to watch the game and enjoy some delicious burgers!

Fantastic burger place! Plenty of options to personalize. Not many other menu items outside of burgers - their claim to fame are burgers and they do a great job! It was our first time trying them out and we are looking for a place open on a Tuesday night. The server (Jessica) was very personable and gave us plenty of time to look over the menu. The drinks we ordered were nice and strong. We ordered onion rings and fries and both were great. We also ordered the avocado burger and band wagon burger. Both excellent! The guac along with the avocado gave the burger a bit more moisture and punch of flavor. On the band wagon, they top it with a bit of pulled pork. At first I wasn't sure how it would be, but it was a small amount...not too much to overpower the taste of the burger. Note that the burgers don't come with fries or sides...you have to order them separate. Will come here again! B+

It was good but nothing to exceptional regular burger I wouldn't choose the pretzel bun it was kinda hard and broke apart so i ate without top bun. I got the sampler appetizer wind were real good I didn't care for the fried pickles but the pretzel sticks and cinnamon sauce was Amazing!!

The burger was delicious! I loved all of the options especially the avocado and egg. The sweet potato fries were better than the regular fries in my opinion. The service was great too - the waitress gave excellent recommendations. I would totally return again and recommend. They had wonderful gluten free items and my friend loved the coleslaw.

Delicious shakes and overall great food. Only thing is that I'm pretty sure the olives on my burger had gone bad and also saw a server in the kitchen hit their vape around the food. These things aren't hard to fix but disappointing nonetheless.

Fantastic service. Friendly hosts and staff, and the food was amazing. We ordered a shake that took a little while past the food to come out, which was perfectly fine. Looks like the chef accidentally made another, so we ended up with a second one free! Very kind gesture. Thank you for the enjoyable experience.
