4.5 stars - Atmosphere (and bathrooms) are stylish and clean. The servers are just as stylish. The prices for entrées are around $21 and up, appetizers are around $14 and up, sides are $9 and up, desserts are $12 and up. The portion sizes are not large. They are slightly less than just enough. With desert you should be good. With an appetizer it's great. Not the place to come super hungry unless you wanna spend. They give free 2 hour parking which is so nice. Mia was SO nice and sweet. She was our hostess. Heather, our server, knew the menu like the back of her hand. She was prompt, courteous and kind. The food was warm (I prefer hot, my husband likes it warm) but tasty. I had the Cod dish which was very light but buttery and yummy. My husband had the chicken which was had more depth of flavor. The chicken had a thin crispy side and was more delicious than the cod in our opinion. Dessert was delicious. We had the brownie sundae. The brownie wasn't anything we haven't had. It almost didn't taste like it was made from scratch but combined with the cherries and house made ice-cream, it was still tasty. It was $12, but the quality more like $9. Presentation was done beautifully! Overall, we had a great time and don't regret going at all! I want to go back for that chicken dish!

First time here and can't wait to go back! We had reservations and quickly seated. They have a time limit of 90 min which is fair and gives fast service. Menu is short and sweet. Filet mignon is so tasty, the ribeye recommended by our waiter was superb! Steak dinners are about $60-$65 and very filling. They have cocktail menus and also mocktails. Parking garage across the street but we got dropped off by Lyft. Street parking available but a couple of blocks over. Walking distance from Campus Martius! We are definitely going to come back when we don't have our own time crunch and hubby doesn't have any sports games. The staff was also soooo lovely! There is also no set dress code but everyone around us had business casual to dressy attire on.

Welcoming staff in a sparkling modern setting was a nice change from some other Detroit "seafood spots" that will remain unnamed - highly recommend this place for fantastic food without the pretense. Excellent food, service, and drinks program. Modern American seafood with Mediterranean and/or Baltic flourishes. Everything was beautiful but the seared manouri (cheese) with figs & mustard seeds and fresh handmade bucatini with clams were the highlights for me. Hope we'll have a chance to come back soon and be entertained by the rest of the menu!

This was mine and my husband’s first time here and it was so good. My favorites were the zucchini fritters, the truffle ravioli (the most unique ravioli I’ve ever had), and the raspberry dessert. It was all amazing and we will definitely be back!

Wonderful spot for dinner! One of the best in Detroit. We had such a nice elegant meal here. We sat in one of the booths and it was great. All the food was wonderfully prepared. The oysters and octopus were incredible. The kale salad and entrees were also great. The service was great, attentive but we didn’t feel rushed.

This is the ultimate date place. When you walk in you can tell the place is perfect for a date. The lighting is low, the music is a mix of 2000s r&b, the seating gives you a little privacy if you pick the booths or a little visibility if you pick the window seat and want to show off your date. Additionally, there is space downstairs but we didn't get a chance to see it. We were sat immediately, the hostesses were incredibly friendly as well as the waitress. The waitress cracked jokes, gave great food recommendations, and came and checked on us often. She made the experience welcoming without being annoying. The food was good but not mind blowing. We had the seared octopus, seared manouri cheese, scallops, black seabass crudo, fresh bread and the off the menu black truffle ravioli. The ravioli and the homemade bread stole the show. Seriously, the bread was addictive and mixed with the black truffle sauce...... man..... We finished with the dark chocolate fudge torte. This thing has edible gold on it. Make sure to share because the flavor is really rich. All in all I say this is one of my favorite places in Detroit. Definitely coming back.

I had gone for date night with my husband, the service was so good & smooth. We ordered calamari , zucchini fritters for appetizers. We were recommended today’s special Ravioli stuffed with mushroom , which was mouth watering . It was the best ravioli we had till date. Ordered a cocktail - which had white rum , forgot the name of it . It was just amazing . We took Trileches cake as takeaway. Overall really happy with the place , will surely visit again to try out other food menu and most importantly the cocktails 😊❤️

Every time I visit Detroit, dining at Besa is a MUST! My family and I went for dinner last week, and again, it did not disappoint! My sister had never been so I wanted to introduce her to this gem! She has now also added Besa to her favourites list lol Huge shout out to our server Kristen! She was so kind and truly went above and beyond and accommodated our every need ( she even brought my son lemons without seeds after learning he is a maniac that eats lemons like apples lol ). We had a nut allergy at our table and she made us feel very safe with our choices, giving us suggestions and was very knowledgeable and knew her menu items! The ambience of the restaurant is like upscale- casual! I would definitely do a date night, friends night out, or special celebration at Besa! The FOOD!!!! OMG THE FOOD!!!! I’ve tried almost everything on the menu now and it is all so good! You can tell it’s made with love and that everyone in the restaurant puts care into every detail! Last visit my table ordered the manouri cheese with figs and the pulled lamb shoulder for appetizers, which both are two of my faves! Great for sharing! Then I had the village salad, which I did not share lol. For mains, I ordered the chicken thigh, my sister got the filet mignon and my hubby got the porcini mushroom ravioli, in which they shave fresh black truffle onto your pasta at the table! He said it was very rich but he still enjoyed it! We also ordered some cocktails that definitely packed a punch! Which is not a complaint haha We didn’t end up getting dessert because, well, we had no room left lol All in all, it was a great experience and they truly do an all around great job at Besa! I love a restaurant that not only has great food and atmosphere, but also appreciates and treats their patrons kindly and values customer service. 10/10 for me! Highly recommend!

Very nice place in Detroit downtown. Located conveniently. We went Saturday evening for dinner a day the food was just amazing. Had roasted eggplant, wild mushroom salad and Amish chicken. Everything was well cooked and prepared. I am giving 4 stars for less quantity.

This place is aesthetically beautiful, the service was spectacular, and the food was INCREDIBLE. So much so that I have begun planning a trip to Albania. The eggplant toast, watermelon salad, and the pulled lamb shoulder shall NOT be missed. My goodness. I'm so ready for more.

The flavors were popping in my mouth an hour after I finished!! Everything I ate was so good. Our host Ride was well informed about the menu and made excellent recommendations and took very good care of us. Whoever was bar tending made me the most delicious dirty martini. We split the Sable Fish and Prawns. CHEF'S KISS 😘!! I can't wait to go back again!!

Classy restaurant in downtown Detroit. Albanian / Serbian and other Mediterranean flavored menu is not one to forget. Great variety of appetizers, salads and main entrees and side dishes to satisfy anyone. We had a great experience. Samantha, our server did a great job of explaining the menu. Thank you chef Nick and Besa!

My husband took me here for my birthday and it was amazing! The ambiance, food, drinks, views, everything about it was wonderful. My only gripe was that the dessert we ordered, the chocolate mousse, was frozen on the inside. I understand things happen, I just didn't expect it from such a nice place! No harm done though, the meal was still fantastic. The absolute best thing they have is the octopus! Hands down, best octopus you will ever try. It was cooked perfectly, idk how they do it, but its awesome. Will be back for another occasion for sure!

This meal was the most heavenly thing I have consumed in my lifetime. I ordered the filet which came with potatoes, carrots, and mushrooms, and when I say those potatoes were the most delicious food that have existed on this earth, I mean it. I would die for just another taste. 10/10 I enjoyed every bite.

Fantastic high quality dining, reasonably priced. I sat at the bar and had the pulled lamb shoulder appetiser and the mushroom and beet salad main and both were delicious and just the right portion size. The selection of wines and drinks is also great.

Our experience at Besa was nothing short of amazing, from the food to the service and hospitality. The service and hospitality was unmatched from the moment we walked in. We sat near the bar and the Bar Director routinely checked on us and was absolutely amazing. The food was impeccable. From one visit alone, this restaurant has catapulted into one of my favorite Downtown Detroit spots. We will definitely be returning and we highly recommend.
