I
made
the
mistake
of
assuming
Johnny
Noodle
King
was
going
to
be
a
spot
with
legit
Asian
food.
It
might
qualify
for
some,
but
not
for
this
SE
Asian.
First
off,
for
the
non-locals,
this
is
not
located
anywhere
you
can
walk
to
easily
from
downtown
hotels.
You'll
need
a
rideshare
or
rental
car
as
it's
in
an
industrial/commercial
area.
I
was
dining
solo
and
was
seated
at
the
bar
at
about
1:20pm.
Ordered
not
long
after.
The
two
apps
showed
up
relatively
quickly,
but
it
took
almost
40
mins
for
the
noodle
to
arrive.
The
waitress
even
asked
if
I
wanted
the
check,
and
I
had
to
note
I'd
take
it
but
I'm
still
waiting
for
my
food!
Bacon
fried
rice
was
so-so.
Topped
with
pork
floss
and
dressed
with
three
cucumber
slices,
it
was
filled
with
bits
of
bacon
and
pork
belly
chunks.
Rice
stuck
together
in
clumps
though.
I
had
them
hold
the
corn.
Gyoza
order
has
five
pieces.
They
are
petit.
Wrapper
was
tough
on
the
edges
and
dry.
Not
much
inside
as
you
can
see
from
the
pic.
Flavor
was
ok
as
there
was
more
ginger
vs
pork.
Tonkotsu
-
other
than
the
40
minute
wait
for
something
that
should
have
been
ready
in
5,
it
was
topped
with
a
perfectly
cooked
egg
and
three
slices
of
griddle
seared
pork
belly
(was
super
chewy,
hard
to
bite
through,)
lots
of
bamboo
and
green
onions.
But
skimpy
on
the
mung
beans.
And
the
broth
was
not
opaque
or
creamy
as
it
should
be.
It
was
thick
and
oily,
but
it
lacked
the
creaminess
of
a
true
Tonkotsu.
All
the
above
food
and
one
green
tea
ran
$45
after
tax
and
tip.
This
is
culturally
appropriated
gentrified
Asian
food.
It
isn't
Ramen
just
because
you're
using
the
noodle.
And
it's
no
where
near
being
Chinese,
so
don't
classify
it
as
such.
Not
worth
the
time
to
wait
in
line,
but
but
you
do
you
if
this
is
what
you're
after.
If
you
want
real
Asian
food,
find
some
place
else.
This
ain't
it.
