Desiring of Turkish food, found the restaurant in a bit far to the north of Gulshan-2 circle. Other businesses are also there in the same building. Arriving at Level-6 found the direction to the entrance. Decoration inside doesn't seems so likey to the Turkish flavor rather blended to the local but the staffs are so cordial to welcome. Seats are not very comfortable specially the couches. In spite of these the turkish platters are delicious and mouth watering. Hammus, Kebab, Pita, Rice these items are so tasteful that stays unfading.

I think Turkish food is the best in the world. Very hearty meals. So this restaurant is my personal favorite. I get the feeling of being in Turkiye, which I miss greatly. Foods of both savory and desserts are great.

Visited Istanbul restaurant at their Gulshan 2 location once they finally reopened after the lockdown was lifted. Food is still top notch with our favorites being the mezze platter & the mixed grill. Hygiene practices are in place, they also give you warm water to sanitize cutlery. As tables have partitions so you are shielded from others. Meat & bread items are great, as was their apple juice. Only the baklava was a bit of a disappointment but I would repeatedly go for their Adana kebabs!

Istanbul is not only the BEST Turkish restaurant in Dhaka. It is hands down one of THE BEST restaurants in Dhaka!!! The Iskandar kebab and mixed meze would be their star dishes 🌟

We had the mixed meze, baba ganoush, doner durum, grilled fish, baklava, kunafa, revani, and ayran. Mixed meze, to be honest, is like a mashed assortment. It's like the Bengali bhorta. What resembles mashed tomatoes, sour yoghurt, eggplant mash, etc. are served with bread. Baba ganoush tastes just like the Bengali mashed brinjal. Doner durum is beef and lamb wrapped with some other ingredients in bread, noteworthy of which is french fries. You must try some kind of doner if you come here. The grilled fish here is served with fries, boiled vegetables, and a sauce reminiscent of that sour curd again. There was nothing special about this dish, and it was definitely overpriced. Ranked according to sweetness, baklava < kunafa < revani. Revani is unbearably sweet for my taste. However, the baklava is a must-try and my favourite dish of the entire lot. It is comparable to sweet bakorkhani. Kunafa looks like deep-fried "shemai". All the desserts are quite rich. Ayran is a lacchi without the sweetness. It too has this place's signature taste of sour curd. The service was super fast. The food was average. This place is spacious but gets few customers. With a bustling presence this place could have a great ambience and the prices could become more affordable.

Has a vintage turkish ambiance. Loved the adana kabab. Kunafa was ok for us (too sweet) maybe its the authentic one. A bit expensive though.

It is really disappointing to have dinner here. The taste of the kabab is like a disaster, I can never expect to have one dish at this price served with frozen restructured meat. I’m a big fan of Turkish food and was really excited to find a Turkish restaurant in Dhaka. I asked the waiter about the food he replied “our chef is from Turkey so don’t worry about authenticity." I was impressed by the decor, interior was nice but the food was horrendous. I would understand if it was slightly behind European standard but this was far below any standard. All the meats were chewy and tasteless, the bread wasn’t soft at all and cold. Service was ok but the food let everything down. I definitely will not be visiting again.

Had a buffet iftar and dinner once there, it was good. Tried most of their items.

I love this place. The Ambience is nice but different from other restaurants. They serve Turkish cuisine which is one of my favorites. The Staffs are nice too. At first the prices might seem on the higher side but one you taste the food, you'll realize it is absolutely worth the price. The amount they serve is pretty good. I usually order Mixed Mezza and chicken wings there. Must try!

Kebab lovers can have some rich variety of kebab here. Back in 2013/14, this place was simply amazing. Interior was fantastic. Cutlery, waiter, wash room, everywhere a touch of luxury was there. Perhaps to minimize cost, they did some renovation. Food quality is pretty much same. Overall, still love this place for some good kebab.

Recently, I've been to their Hakka section on the second floor... and the place looked deserted with no persons around... This place serves very good non veg options especially the Biryani. We loved the food here. Vegetarians might feel out of place here as it smells of non-veg preparations.
