A mixed system of online and manual entry tickets. Visiting hours are only 6 in two shifts. Fully off on Wednesday. Second half (from 3.00 p.m. to 6.00 p.m.) opened on Friday. The buildings architectural beauty is obvious, but facilities are somewhat restricted. Entry checking is much similar to immigration checking for international flights. For example, the management allows water bottle only for children under 2 years. So, no one can take a water bottle or juice bottle or a can inside. There is no water dispenser in the museum but a restaurant at the ground floor. If a visitor crosses the glass door to reach the restaurant, he/she cannot come back to the museum. If a visitor feels thirsty at some point, he/she needs to go outside the museum. The organization of display of artifacts/things are quite good. Children will enjoy the dummy submarine visit. You can take still photos everywhere but can't record videos.

Very informative and creative initiative by Bangladesh army. It was a nice and pleasant journey. We reached at 4pm .2 hour time was not enough to explore the museum. So while visiting please visit with 3 hour time span. You can buy advanced tickets online 3 days before. It will save your time.

Well organized and managed. Such a pleasant experience. Furnished with past and present artillery stuff of the military. Army, Air force & Navy all three military wings stuff on separate floors of the building. That building itself is an architectural beauty. It's worth making time to visit Bangabandhu Military Museum.

Bangabandhu Military Museum Is holding thousand of years' colourful military history, pride and achievements of this Gangetic delta. This magnicent architectural establishment and contemporary interior will display a remarkable and rare collection of miltary artefacts from antiquity to the current day. Heavy and light military weapons, tanks, fighter planes, battleships, submarines and a plethora of military artetacts are on display at this museum. This place offers one-of-a-kind virtual reality, holographic presentation and an exhibition environment that spans six levels, two basement floors, and a total size of 60,387 square meter. Everyone is welcome to use the Cineplex, Amphitheatre, Seminar, Multipurpose Hall, Restaurant and Coffee Shop. Present and next generation will get a gross idea about Bangladesh Army.

It's one of the rarest places in Bangladesh that can actually be truly appreciated! It shows a real sense of importance, value and visuals of the three kinds of military in the country. The construction details and knowledgeable factors in the entire place was absolutely wonderful. It's an excellent place for study tours as well, because of such vast things to learn from here. The one and only problem of this place is, the time limit. The visiting time is only three hours. Many people may not enter correctly at 10 AM and so can't look around properly or absorb the details too. It'd be great if the visiting time was extended to at least 6 hours. Like from 10 AM to 4 PM and 3 PM to 7PM. That's all.

I had to stand in line to collect tokens even though I bought advance tickets from online portal, which is quite disappointing for us. The environment inside and outside the museum is very good. All kinds of historical items are arranged in a modern manner. The use of natural light everywhere has created a festive atmosphere all around.

This place is a must visit for both foreigners and Bangladeshi. Offers detailed information about the military condition and history of Bangladesh. Extremely well maintained, neat and clean having a tight security. You need minimum 2 hours to explore the museum properly. Closes at dot 6pm. But the cafeteria and 3D theatre remains open. Weekly holiday - Wednesday.

It was awesome experience to explore inside. But while I was entering they took my water bottle and said you can buy inside. Why is that? If I can buy inside why I can't take water bottle of my own.

Went there today (1 March 2024). The only place you should visit in Dhaka. All must keep this place as their top priority. Excellent place for everyone. Very informative and entertaining as well. There is a good restaurant and a 3D Art Museum. You may visit the star cine plex as well. Its a all in one solution. Here we felt like we are in a foreign country. Not at all dirty and messy. I would love to go there again and again. I would welcome all to visit this place with friends and family.

This is my first visit to Military Museum. So far so good, from my earlier visit experience this is the BEST. I couldn't finish exploring whole thing inside of it because of time limit. I will must have second visit in no time. This museum decorations is way wonderful & and the building architecture is awesome. You can't leave that place without taking least of 100 pictures. Ticket price is very reasonable. I wish there won't be any time limit for the next visitors. ##### Update on my second visit 11th June 22 Holy!!! It was too much crowded. On spot ticket wasn't available. We had try online ticket instead. But the server was down for hour. At last i was able to get a ticket & had 1.5 hours visit time. So couldn't finish exploring again. I'll have third visit in no time 😃

One of the best and perfectly planned museums in Bangladesh. Everything is just aesthetically decorated and all the things are well planned. Maintained by Bangladesh Army. Defense technologies and instruments are displayed there. Joint reflection of Army, Navy and Air Force. Tickets should be purchased online. Overall a good experience and need at least a full day to enjoy everything there.

This museum is a two stories building with six galleries in its credit. More than 10,000 objects are displayed here, which include rare photographs, media coverage of that time, documents, and materials used by the martyrs of the liberation war. But, the major object that they have kept and preserved so far is the human remains of the liberation war, in one of such war death place. A highly recommended place to visit and see the artifact that narrates the true story of the toil which Bangladesh had to face during the liberation war with Pakistan.

Very beautiful place with large space. Different types of arms, military vehicles, Tanks, Fighter Plane, Battle Ship of Bangladesh Army, Navy and Air Force is displayed here. One of the special attraction is 3D show of under water sea. Also have a Bangabandhu Museum inside this area. Suitable and safe to visit with family. Recommend to confirm ticket one day earlier specially in weekend or holiday.

Exploring the Bangabandhu Military Museum was a captivating journey through history and innovation. The seamless blend of past and future exhibits, especially The Underwater Section, showcased the nation's rich military heritage. The well-presented displays and thoughtful organization made the experience engaging. A helpful tip for future visitors: Purchase tickets online, and refrain from bringing water. An enriching adventure awaits those ready to delve into Bangladesh's military legacy at this meticulously curated destination. 💯

The Memorial Complex is actually a library, a seminar hall and a gallery of photographs of the language movement. It was built and inaugurated in 2012 in the Palashi, Dhaka University area by the funding of the government. It is actually a language martyr museum not only just for Abul Barkat. It is just named after Abul Barkat. If you are moving here from Gulistan Bus stop, be informed that you are going to step off at Palashi Chourasta. From there you may take a walk to the museum.

Abul Barakat (অাবুল বরকত) is one of the martyrs of 21st february, 1952 in the language movement of then East Pakistan (currently Bangladesh). He came out with thousands of other protesters in Dhaka University area to protest against the oppressive government and military of West Pakistan for the freedom of Bangla language. Police set fire in that procession and some of the bravest soul died on the spot including Abul Barakat. This museum contains some personal elements of him as a record of his memory.

It's such a nice place. It's also the best place for a family programme/tour. Very well decorated. The place is very large. If you want to see the whole place, you have to bring the time. Otherwise you cannot cover it. They have 2 time slots in a day to visit the place. Wednesday is the off day and the morning schedule is off on Friday. Otherwise you can visit there at 10am to 1am ( Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday) and 3pm to 6pm ( Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday). Friday is the special day. So the morning schedule is off on Friday. Friday time is only 3pm to 6pm. You can get there in 3 hours to visit the whole place. So if you can you should take more time to visit the whole place. I highly recommend you to visit the place with your family.

Modern hype. A lot of people are going there nowadays. Though I bought tickets earlier but I would recommend to buy tickets from the entrance. It was a wonderful experience for me to visit this place. Very much enjoyable. A lot of things to see and experience there. The decoration and the arrangement is very good. Though I found it a bit puzzling inside. More instructions should be given. Resting corners or sitting arrangements should be increased as a good number of senior citizens also visit there. I can't recall of seeing drinking water filters around. If it isn’t then the authorities should take care of it. It is a huge place I don’t think 3 hours is enough for the curious visitors like us. Can it be extended? As there is also a 3D art gallery. So if anyone is planning to cover up all these in 1 day, it would be quite difficult. I couldn’t finish my adventure in one day. So I am hoping to go there again. Very well recommended for museum travellers & people with family and friends. Please keep the environment clean and follow the rules while visiting the museum. Have a nice time there.

Great experience. Family friendly and quite unique place to go. Also it serves as a big knowledge base for the military related details of Bangladesh. Well organized and clean. Also air conditioned interior makes it really convenient to visit during hot summer days. Weekends can get a little crowded tho. Overall the internal premise holds a variety of options to choose from for the visit with even a cineplex and restaurant. Good place to visit with friends and/or family.

One of the best places to spend your 2-3 hours of the weekend. You can easily spend some quality time here & also can learn various things. Too much well coordinated. The environment was top notch. It was mesmerizing experience. There are 5 different sections I guess. 2 for navy & 1 for Army, 1 for Air Force & there was a section named "Topshala". Much recommended place.

Mesmerized by such a high quality museum setup in Dhaka. First of all, the museum is huge. There are separate sections for Airforce, Navy and Military, depicting each individual section's contribution to the nation and its independence. And one wouldn't get bored at all, because there are video monitors showing short films about the nations history. Loved every moment here, and proud to have such a beautifully decorated museum in Bangladesh.

I'm not easily impressed, but when I went to the new Bangladesh Military Museum, I was more than just impressed. The architecture of the museum is one of a kind, built in a very modern style and the place was utilised properly. It's a perfect place for anyone to visit along with family and friends. Each floor is designated for all three branches of Bangladesh military, also different floors including UN peacekeeping and Bangladesh history gallery. It's a must visit place for every Bangladeshi and I hope we get to see many more structures built like this.

My visit to the Bangabandhu Military Museum was a fascinating and educational experience. The museum's exhibits offer a comprehensive insight into Bangladesh's military history and its role in shaping the nation. The displays are well-maintained, and the historical artifacts are impressive. The informative narration throughout the museum helps visitors understand the context of each exhibit. It's a great place to learn about the country's history and its struggles for independence. Highly recommended for history enthusiasts and anyone looking to explore Bangladesh's past.

First ever museum of this kind in Bangladesh. It is a pride of the country-Not only for its resources but also for the maintenance and services. Excellent collection and a great place to spend your whole day with family and friends. Outside food is not allowed inside. Plenty of parking facilities, reasonable entry fee (100 bdt/person). You can avail snacks and food inside in a quite reasonable price. One negative thing is the lack of navigation. Still 9.5 out of 10.

Abul barkat was died in Dhaka Medical College hospital on 21st February after 8:30 PM. Many people were killed on that day. It is strongly believed that, more than 90% of the dead bodies were hidden by the government which did not receive any ritual and never found. Abul Barkats body might be one of them but fortunately his body was found and identified and buried in the Azimpur Graveyard, Dhaka according to proper procedures of Muslim believe. Many stories have written about the killings of 21 February in the Bengali Literature. The Museum is open 6 days a week from 10 AM to 4 PM, except Fridays and national holidays (only 21 February & 16 December is an exception). No ticket or entry fee is needed to enter into the two storied memorial complex. From December to March, the institute arranges special video programs for the young students to let them aware of the language movement and the liberation war. The Language martyr Abul Barkat was honored with the “Ekushee Padak” (the highest non military achievement in Bangladesh) by the Governmnet of the Peoples Republic of Bangladesh in 2000. His grave is situated in Azimpur Graveyard in Dhaka.

Everything is fine. A website would make the path to the museum easy for the visitors. Online tickets may increase the rate of student visitors that may encourage the youth to serve the Nation.

The museum is one of its kind in Bangladesh. It is an architectural masterpiece. The museum is new and modern. It has important exhibits. The displays are impressive. Yet, the content needs to be enriched more. Bangladesh military is a war-born military. This needs to be reflected amply.

I am satisfied with their beautiful decoration and collection. Inner environment was aesthetic but crowded. I have experienced worst thing in my life from their ticket both tough i purchase my ticket online but i had to collect my token from a gathering place. As their rule i will get 3 hours to complete my visit but they have give us only 2 hours excusing load-shedding. I am totally disappointed with their service.

A very beautiful historical museum built by the military of Bangladesh. They reminds us to show various historical things of the Bangladesh-Pakistan war in 1971. It also contains various items while on military service on duty. It is a very beautiful place for school children's to go for a Education vacation where they can see our country's real history of becoming a independent country.

Very informative and creative initiative by Bangladesh army. It was a nice and pleasant journey. We reached at 4pm .2 hour time was not enough to explore the museum. So while visiting please visit with 3 hour time span. You can buy advanced tickets online 3 days before. It will save your time.

Nice place to spend some beautiful time with family and friends. Most of the objects are created with artificial materials. And some digital displays are here to show graphics of the Bangladesh navy and other military. The decorations and environment are really nice. Overall I suggested this place.. but internal fast food are pretty expensive...

The infrastructure of this museum is very beautiful. Here you can take many beautiful pictures (only with mobile, don't bring camera inside).Ticket price is 100 taka per person. Everything inside is well organized and security is very good. There are many open spaces for children to play.

That was a wonderful experience to visit the museum and get in touch with the enriched history of the heroic forces of Bangladesh. The environment is cozy and well organised. It’s better to buy tickets online so that you don’t have to wait to enter. Besides entertainment, you’ll also get some food courts and other facilities there. There are separate prayer rooms for male and female visitors. However, it’s a bit crowded if you visit it on public holidays.

Architecture and the atmosphere of the place is top notch. Filled to the brim military history, armaments and overall history of Bangladesh. As a Bangladeshi I felt very proud to see all the history and contribution of all the military personnel.Bangladeshi forces has played a huge role in UN Peacekeeping missions It's good to see a separate section for them. I will definitely visit again and I would encourage people to visit in weekdays if possible.

It's a state of art structure. Here you can experience history of this land. You can experience Airforce, Navy and military equipments and environment. All equipment are older though. Navy section is the most attractive. Try to go in weekdays, weekends cam be very busy.

Must visit for both foreigners and local people. You can get the information about all three forces (army, navy, air force). Most beautiful area is Navy area where you can see demo submarine, demo under water world etc. Museum open at 10am to 12pm and 3pm to 6pm. You will feel 3hours time will pass just 10mins.

Really well built with tons of exhibits from the past war and many modern exhibitions as well. Definitely worth the visit. I recommend arriving slightly before 10 or slightly before 3 if you like taking your time reading everything. One issue I like to point out is the badly done name tags on the firearms, one of which was straight up wrong.

Nice museum. One can gather knowledge about war equipments and life of arm forces. Kids enjoyed a lot. Duration of visit time was not enough and they are not allowing to enter again if you go outside for food. Food corner inside museum is necessary for kids. Water bottles are not allowed during visits. Well decorated and well organised. You are not allowed to touch anything. Entrance fee 100tk.

There is much to learn here. If anyone wants to visit anywhere in Dhaka city, I will put this as the first suggestion. If you want to go somewhere with your family, in my opinion, there is no better place in Dhaka than this. It is better to inquire..🤍

It's a really awesome museum. Everyone has to go to this museum to enjoy & watch the digital view of our nation's history even though I am able to know the details of the Navy, Military & Air Force of Bangladesh. I really recommend it to everyone. And one important thing, before going to the Military Museum, you have to book tickets to their website.
