One of the must see museum in Dhaka for school students. They can learn many scientific things in practical. They should increase the maintenance as some of the things are out of order and was missing for sometimes due to repair. Wish them all the best to make it student friendly.

Great place to visit for children and teenagers. Was more innovative than expected. Being able to witness practical example of physics, chemistry and machineries etc will be a great motivation of learning for younger generations. But more improvement and maintenance is needed.

I like this place very much. This place is mainly suitable for children. You can learn a lot of thing form there. I think this place is best for study tour. I wondered that the ticket price is so low. And yes don't miss the Virtual Reality and 4d movie. This is the main part for entertainment. It is closed in Thursday. In the national holiday it is also closed. So don't go there in the national holiday. It's open 3:00pm in the friday.

"National Museum of Science and Technology" is one of the most significant Museum in Bangladesh. The environment of the Museum is calm and quite. There is a great opportunity to car parking for visitors for free. People can enjoy here many kinds of old Technology Kitts. Specially, those, which ware used in Bangladesh. There’s a special gallery for physics. Daily facts are clearly described according to the laws of Physics. There are many others galleries also Like Zoology, Machine tools, Space, Movie theatre etc. All of those galleries are attractive But Movie Theatre is not a enjoyable event here. Keep in mind that, there is no AC here. At large, It's a very good place for spending your Holiday.

As of my last knowledge update in January 2022, Bangladesh has the National Museum of Science and Technology (NMST) located in Dhaka. It's dedicated to showcasing the country's scientific and technological achievements. Exhibits cover various fields, including physics, chemistry, biology, and technology. For the most accurate and up-to-date information, it's recommended to check the latest details online or contact the museum directly.

The National Museum of Science and Technology is a fantastic place to learn about science and technology in reality. You'll find a lot of resources here that aren't often available, which will eventually help you learn about new things. Here you'll find several sites to have fun while learning about science and technology. You can watch 3D movies and even virtual reality movies. And the environment is fantastic, full with creatures and a variety of exotic trees.

    - Underrated Museum. Must visit if you're a museum or a science lover - Very cheap and affordable ticket prices when I last visited - Lots of fun and interactive displays/machines. Some of them doesn't work (thanks to the dushtu citizens) - Has a low-end IMAX theatre termed as "4D" show with a satisfactory display. You might get a non working 3D anaglyph glass, but make sure to change it before the show begins. - There's a VR corner (they had low end VR headsets when I last visited). You can try them considering the ticket price (very cheap)

Great place for hanging out and gaining knowledge at the same time. A very gigantic place with so many things to see and discover. It was a great journey, a quest for hunting knowledge. A lot of ancient artifacts made us realize a lot about the modern time. The 4D movie was good too but it don't even deserve to be called a 3D movie. Worse but still, taking the other facts in judgement. It deserves a four star rating! ❤

(Translated by Google) The National Museum of Science and Technology was established on 26 April 1965 in Dhaka by the then Government of Pakistan. After the war of independence of Bangladesh, it came under the Ministry of Science and Technology. The museum is the only science museum in Bangladesh and conducts science education activities at the national level. The National Museum of Science and Technology was inaugurated by an executive order of the Government of Pakistan on April 26, 1965. [1] It started functioning in the Dhaka Public Library building in September of the year of its establishment. It was shifted to Chamelibagh, Dhaka in April 1970 and to Road No. 1, Dhanmondi in May of the following year. It was accorded the status of National Museum in 1982 and started functioning as an autonomous institution under the Ministry of Science and Technology. In 1989, it was taken to Dhanmondi Road No. 6 and the following year it was shifted to a place in front of Kakrail Mosque. To construct a museum building of its own, the Government of Bangladesh allotted a 5 acre plot of land at Agargaon, Sher-e-Bangla Nagar, Dhaka and completed its own building there in 1981. There is a 4-storey building in the museum premises. The gallery is located on the 1st and 2nd floor of the building, the office on the 3rd floor and the Bangladesh Academy of Sciences on the 4th floor. Apart from the gallery, there is also a library, workshop and auditorium. The building compound features a dinosaur statue and a small warplane. Gallery The National Museum of Science and Technology has 8 galleries. This Organization is one and only Science Museum of Bangladesh right now. It's not like a Museum. It's a one kind of informal education or learning centre. National Museum of Science and Technology in Dhaka, Bangladesh was founded on April 26, 1965 by the Pakistani government and became a part of Bangladesh's Ministry of Science and Technology.

It was a great experience. You will find lots of historical examples here. Lots of very very old IBM computers, cameras, tvs. If you like the sky and cosmology then this place is highly recommended for you. You also can do some physics experiments too. There has different kind of animals mommy, rocks from many places. You also can ride a roller coaster with santa through VR. This place also kids friendly. You can bring kids.

It is a perfect place for the knowledge seekers. I would recommend the parents to take their children at least once to this place. Reconstruction works are ongoing but that will not hamper your journey inside/ outside the museum. You may enjoy the 4D show (15 minutes show). Let our knowledge on science be enhanced in a practical framework.

  • 3/5 Tanmoy N. 1 year ago on Google
It's a nice place to visit. Especially with kids and young children who are keen to scientific knowledge. It is such a place where children can get the practical knowledge of what they read in books. I was so amazed to see those. I wish, I could visit this place in my childhood. Though disappointed with the 4D movie and some non functional objects placed in the galleries, I would recommend this place to everyone. Please bring your children here. Its a nice place to visit.

Lots of scientific (geological, biological and others) equipments and treasures, like the first computer of Bangladesh, a complete specimen of Finback whale, the first meteorite of Bangladesh etc. You can experience various experiments which will surely make you interested in the basics of Physics and Chemistry. It will take around 3-5 hours to complete the whole Museum, but the time is worth in every point.
