I recently visited the newly inaugurated Secret Recipe outlet at Elephant Road. I tried their London Fish & Chips and Caribbean Style Fish Fillet. The food was delicious, and the service was on par. I finished my meal with a Latte and Hot Chocolate. Although the food was expensive, my overall experience was enjoyable.

We ordered Chicken Satay, Fish n Chips, Triple Cheesecake and Cafe Mocha. All of these were good, specially the cheese cake was really good and recommended. We wanted to order pizza but those were not available. Though the decoration, space and sitting arrangement is good, the AC doesn't cool everywhere properly which should be addressed. There were some flies and mosquitoes, which is totally unexpected from a Flagship store of Secret Recipe considering the price they are charging. Service is good though.

One of My favourite restaurants since days as i visited their every outlets in dhaka . The food was really good and the staff behavior was also nice.. They were very friendly. I loved their fried calamari.

Secret Recipe is great for their cakes, but when I tried their chicken parm and salmon chowder recently; I was unexpectedly disappointed that they couldn't keep up in the savory section. The chicken parm made very little or no use of parmesan (where the name comes from), it should be renamed chicken mozzarella, because it's probably all they used. The salmon chowder had a tomato base which is again unacceptable, chowders usually come with an onion and cream base. Don't get me wrong Secret Recipe is a great chain with other exceptional food quality, but either these items were on the menu as fillers or not given enough thought. I hope they reconsider the recipes or take them off the menu.

Secret Recipe always seemed like a overhyped restaurant. I tried to prove myself wrong and that's why ordered from them on numerous occasions, what if one time I didn't like their food but might like on other times. Well, I never tried anything else from them other than desserts, so my review will be limited on that part only. Their desserts are too much expensive, and so naturally you will expect them to be if not out of the world, but at least something better than average. But I never felt that. This time I ordered chocolate indulgence, chocolate brulee, and cappuccino cheesecake. None of them seemed anything special about them, that I would try again. All of that was a bit on the bitter side, maybe because of the coffee they used. That's okay, but according to the price nothing remarkable I felt. Creme brulee, I liked the most among them, chocolate indulgence was nice too, but the cheesecake wasn't good at all. I had far better cheesecake than this, in so much lesser price. I think I have tried many times before giving a bad review but still no hope. Not gonna try from them again (unless someone giving me a treat 😂)

Excellent place for desserts. Specially their cheesecakes are pretty good.
