👍 My overall experience was good enough. Food wasn't that much expensive but they should improve the taste as a pan Asian restaurant the taste of the food I have tried was average. But the coconut ice cream with sticky rice was a hit. I would definitely recommend this one. People often mention rice, Thai, Khao, good, coconut, cream, sticky, chicken, experience, taste,

The food is good, and has the authentic thai flavour to it. The menu is small but entails the majority of the items you'd associate with thai cuisine. The food was good overall, particularly loved the dishes which had coconut infusion in them. Maybe they could broaden the items for beverages and desserts. Currently they only have coconut Ice cream, with sticky rice, as a dessert item, which was really good, definitely going back for this. The staff were helpful. The place was crowded, but the seating arrangement may have been better. Overall though, this place has managed to bring across some authentic Thai cuisines and flavours and hopefully can better themselves with time. So, if you're a Thai cuisine enthusiast, I would definitely recommend giving this place a try.

A beautifully little place with amazing food. From the appetizers please get the Garlic Fried Prawns and the Bangkok Chicken. Both were exceptional. Must try is their dish called Khao Soi Neua. It's a coconut red curry based noodle soup with crispy noodles and chicken. Have it immediately to enjoy crunchiness with the creamy soup. Also get the Khao San Seafood Rice (Grilled prawn, squid & fish). The quantity of the food is a lot so best to go in groups. The price is very reasonable.

I tried twice in this restaurant. I liked pad thai mostly. The rest of the items are average. Seafood rice was average. They used only shrimp. Most of the ingredients were missing! The dory fish item was horrible! Chicken coconut gravy was tasty. They serve only one dessert which Is coconut ice cream. It is extremely thick. The sticky rice was full of coconut oil. It was excess. The taste was not up to the mark. The place is good but extremely noisy. The location is great. The price is reasonable. Service is horrible. The waiter cannot smile I guess! They behave like damn care.

I had the pleasure of dining at Khao San in the heart of Dhanmondi, located in the Northend building, and it was truly a delightful experience. The restaurant's vibrant ambiance immediately sets the mood for a fantastic meal. On my visits, I had the pleasure of savoring their Tom Kha Seafood Clear Soup, which left a lasting impression. The combination of flavors in this dish was exquisite, showcasing their culinary expertise. The menu at Khao San is a real treat for the taste buds, with every dish I tried being absolutely delicious. What sets this place apart, in addition to the food, is the exceptional service provided by their staff. They are attentive, friendly, and truly enhance the overall dining experience. One highlight of my visit was the dessert - a coconut-based ice cream with sticky rice. This sweet treat was nothing short of amazing, providing a perfect ending to a memorable meal. In summary, Khao San is a gem in Dhanmondi, offering delectable cuisine, a lively atmosphere, and top-notch service. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience.

Food was very good. Unique blend of taste. Tried their Khao soi gai, Thai chicken bowl and coconut ice cream with sticky rice. Khao soi gai and coconut ice cream was unique combination of flavors and textures that I liked very much. Khao soi gai and chicken bowl were on the spicy side but not too much. Chicken bowl was also good. Service was good. The place is quite popular and busy. You may need to wait to find a table.

Tried their coconut ice cream with sticky rice. The amount is less for BDT 205. But the taste was quite unique alongside the sticky rice texture. It is basically a dense "payesh" without the milk, with a scoop of ice cream with faint coconut flavor on top & a very small amount of almond chunks. It would be better if they could serve the nut in a separate dish because I didn't like almonds with ice cream. Overall it is worth trying in my opinion, but not something to die for. It was almost empty on weekday afternoon, no music in the background. The ambience was great for chatting. The staff was well mannered too. Recommended 💯

I had the wonderful opportunity to visit and try this Thai restaurant. The atmosphere with the view was quite breath taking, paired with the murals that were painted inside was truly marvelous. Food wise, the flavours feel a bit unique , compared to other Thai restaurants. Tried the Tom Kha , It was made with coconut milk , tons of calamari and prawns which were cooked just right to not make them mushy , they were perfect,The soup was Tasty , a 7 on a Scale of 10 , but a bit too sweet to my liking , had tom Kha in other places too , so compared to those , this was a bit too sweet , but overall I liked the pairing they did with the Dori fish prawns , crabs and calamari with it .Also , No bone plates or plates beneath the soup bowls were provided. One of the bowls was also chipped at it's rim . Then For the main course , we had two kind of rice with two kinds of curries , The rice quantity wise was quite good , they say 1:2 but when they serve it , you can see that it's easily for 1:3 ,but the curries on the other hand was kind of less , even for a portion for two. The rice ordered were Tom yam rice with shrimp and Seafood rice. Both of the rices were served at room temperature as if they had been cooked a long time ago , The rice grains them selves were ok ish , but it was slightly bland and lacked flavours , but they did put a ton of Seafood on that , there were an abundance of calamari and shrim on the seafood rice. On the tom yam rice with shrimp , the amount of shrimp however was very little , around 3-4 pieces of shrimp in the total rice , this was also served at room temperature and not even warm. The rice had a lot of lemon grass in it , but lacked flavour. The Penang chicken was great , the chicken strips had been cooked perfectly and the savoury gravy was very well complimented with the rice. The Thai yellow seafood curry however was sweet , the waiter did tell us of this before hand and we decided to order it. The gravy was very creamy and rich in flavours of the prawn and the tumeric that was added.but The maybe the chef put a bit too much of Tumeric in the dish as it just smelled and tasted of tumeric . Food wise Overall it would be a 6.7/10 . Great place for taking pictures and having a good time but not so great in terms of having lunch or dinner , good place to grab small bites .

Two of my favourite dishes of Thai culinary is Tom Yum Soup and Pad Thai Noodles. Tom Yum Soup - In my culinary exploration, I had the opportunity to savor the Tom Yum soups at various establishments. Soi71 presented a delightful rendition, and THAI EMERALD, though distinct, didn't quite meet my expectations. However, the Tom Yum soup at Khao San has truly captivated my palate, standing out as an exemplary rendition that has now become my preferred choice. Pad Thai - Having meticulously assessed the Pad Thai offerings at Khao San and Thai Emerald, I must commend both establishments for their culinary prowess. While Khao San delivers an exceptional rendition, Thai Emerald secures a perfect 5 out of 5 for its unwavering authenticity. In this comparison, Khao San earns a commendable 4 out of 5, showcasing its commitment to culinary excellence. Nevertheless, Hygienically Khao San got to do better.

Khao Soi Gai BDT 425 Coconut red curry based broth was succulent, rich and filled with flavours. Crispy noodles give a very nice texture where the normal noodles are soaked nicely in the broth! Tom Yum Goong BDT 275 Classic good old tom yum goong, with the perfect ample of spiciness, adequate amount of chicken, prawn and mushrooms. Grilled Chicken Satay (8 Pieces) BDT 385 chicken satay was marinated with thai spices, and grilled it to perfection. Peanut tamarind was sauce rich and tangy. Thai Fish Cake - 9/10 BDT 365 It was spongy. Minced fish was mixed with various spices. Loved it. Vinaigrette dip was the game changer. It tanginess of vinegar, flavour from fish sauce. Too good! Morning Glory BDT 345

When I heard that there is a place serving authentic Thai experience I rushed over here. Their menu is full of different dishes which might confuse you to choose. But the food is quite impressive like every time I was taking a bite from different dishes I had a lot of spices and sauces flavours. The place itself will give you a Thai experience, as the interior is eye-catching.
