Its a small place in lalmatia. With limited sitting arrangements. But they do serve good food. I am a big fan of their bibimbap and ramen. Its actually an underrated place to be honest. They serve probably the best sushi/maki in dhanmondi area. Took their indulgence maki platter- which had boston roll, salamango roll, spicy tuna roll and spicy salmon roll. Boston roll and tuna roll was better than the other two in my opinion. Chicken cashew nut salad was good also, Beef ramen was more than enough for 3 people to share..

My recent visit to The TBC restaurant presented a culinary adventure with highs and lows. The assorted maki roll platter showcased creativity, albeit with a surprise twist of mayonnaise, while the TBC special Beef Ramen Bowl left much to be desired. The Assorted Maki Roll Platter: The assortment of maki rolls provided a diverse range of flavors and textures. Each piece was meticulously crafted, featuring a blend of fresh ingredients. However, a surprising element was the use of mayonnaise, which deviates from traditional sushi expectations. While unconventional, the creamy texture added a unique dimension to the rolls, appealing to those open to innovative twists on classic sushi but I hated this. TBC Special Beef Ramen Bowl: Unfortunately, the TBC special Beef Ramen Bowl fell short of expectations. The temperature inconsistency, with a serving that was notably cold, detracted from the comforting warmth expected from a bowl of ramen. The absence of spiciness, a key characteristic of many ramen dishes, was a disappointment for those seeking a bold flavor profile. Additionally, the unexpected bitter undertones further marred the overall taste, leaving a lingering sense of dissatisfaction. Ambiance and Service: Beyond the culinary aspects, the restaurant's ambiance and service deserve recognition. The cozy atmosphere and attentive staff contributed positively to the overall dining experience. The decor and lighting created a welcoming environment, enhancing the enjoyment of the meal. The staff's attentiveness and willingness to address concerns demonstrated a commitment to customer satisfaction. Bit the restroom is outside of the restaurant and it's a common toilet for all, guards kept their dress there too. Conclusion: In conclusion, The TBC restaurant offers a mixed culinary experience. The Assorted Maki Roll Platter showcases innovation with the incorporation of mayonnaise, appealing to those seeking a departure from traditional sushi. On the other hand, the TBC special Beef Ramen Bowl falls short in terms of temperature, spiciness, and an unexpected bitter taste. While the culinary journey had its ups and downs, the restaurant's ambiance and attentive service contribute positively to the overall dining experience. This review aims to provide constructive feedback for both the restaurant and potential diners, highlighting the diverse elements that shape the overall impression of The TBC restaurant.

The placement of this restaurant is quite far from the actual crowd and it is smaller than i expected. But the ambience is so quiet that it'll make you whisper. It is decorated with some eye soothing wall arts and plants. About the food i tried their Chicken Ramen, Chicken Katsu and Tiger Roll. As I like Ramen it was perfect for me. They provided a decent amount with one full egg. It wasn't that spicy as it was made like an actual Japanese ramen and the soup was so good. I'd rate it 9.6/10 As for the Chicken Katsu, the amount was more than i thought. The chicken pieces were well cooked and i felt the crunch as it should be. With the spicy rice and crispy chicken there was nothing to complain about. I'd rate it 9.7/10 Lastly the Sushi "Tiger Roll" disappointed me. Actually i think I'm not a sushi guy. They provided a good amount but i didn't like it at all. I'd rate it 4/10. I went on a weekend and it wasn't that crowded. Judging by the quantity of their foods i think it's a nice place to try around the budget. So if you're looking to try pure Japanese foods around Dhanmondi it'd be a great place to try.

My friend and I went there to have some Sushi and that place is known for Sushi. Three of us ordered different types of Sushi and decided to share. Let me start with the California Rolls. I had this many times and I knew it was good. It had Crab and Cucumber wrapped with rice and at the top, there was a salmon egg layer. It was soft and kind of squishy as it supposed to be. Tiger Roll Sushi was my personal favorite. It had shrimp and Cucumber in the middle wrapped in the rice. There was also some kind of sauce as the toppings. I absolutely loved it. The Boston Rolls were also really good, it had the fried taste in them. There was cream cheese and shrimp is in the middle of the rice. All of the sushi was served with Soy Sauce, ginger, and wasabi for extra flavor. This place never disappoints me. Really liked all of their items. I would highly recommend this place for anyone who loves Sushi.

It's a small place with seating arrangements for mostly 22 people. With the pricing, food taste is average. We ordered chicken ramen and chicken katsu. Ramen had a strong flavor of ginger. This overpowered other flavors. Rice served with katsu was below average, the gravy served with it saved it all together.

Special Ramen: I always loved their sushi platter, TBC is one my favorite restaurant for sushi. But yesterday I ordered their most hyped Special Ramen. The only good thing about this is bone marrow. Otherwise everything is not up to the mark. Noodles wasn't cooked well and beef was so dry that can't even chewable. Price is also bit high. I found it overrated. Giving 2 star just for their service. Price: 990++ Service: 10/10

The smoking zone needs to be renovated and please separate it from the makeshift kitchen you have in there. It's quite small so it gives off a "cosy" vibe. Service was quite garbage. Had to badger them repeatedly to get our food and it took forever to arrive. It seemed like they took the order and immediately forgot about it minutes later. The assorted maki sushi platter is a budget sushi platter for people who want an okay-tasting platter. The takoyaki and Bibimbap are skips. The Oyakodon and Gochujang Fried Chicken were good. The Oyakodon is my favorite because it was creamy and full of umami.

The value for money is very good. The place is compact but cozy. Do make a reservation before going as seats are very limited. I’ve been at this place multiple times and it’s pretty good for what it is. They’re food is extremely good. The sushi’s are delicious and authentic. I didn’t find any stink or anything bad about it. It was fresh and delightful. What I would say is that the bad part about this place is often things will be out of stock. On my every visit, something was out of stock. It could be tofu or anything in general. Also there service is extremely slow. They take an average of 25 mins to serve you your food even though there is no one else dining. Henceforth do look into addressing these.

The sushi is good and very reasonably priced compared to most other places. Will not find sushi for this price that actually tastes like sushi anywhere else. The place is small but recently they renovated to make it a little bigger. They have a smoking zone which in my opinion looked better before, however their main dining area looks much better now especially in the day time with lots of natural lighting. The servers are friendly and the service is quick too.

I was craving for Ramen today and went there as it was the only ramen place near me. Moreover, tbc is quite popular among us for Japanese food. So i decided to try the ramen one today. The Ramen was very spicy which i understand as some Ramen are supposed to be spicy. But they should give a heads up that the Ramen will be spicy. The Ramen i ordered was the basic ramen (chicken). Though they have beef and seafood option other than chicken. However, the chicken on that ramen felt mismatched with the ramen broth and ramen. The ramen noodle was really good. It tasted nice. However, another disappointing fact was, despite serving most Japanese cuisine items, they did not provide any chopsticks like other japanese restaurants. The ramen just had some chicken and a boiled egg on top and unfortunately the egg they served me was rotten. So when I complained about it, they tried justifying it by saying “we prepare the egg in a different way that’s why it tastes like this”. However, when i asserted further, they examined that the egg was actually rotten, so they changed the egg of the Ramen. Other than that their service was quite good. So to summary my experience- Ordered item: Chicken Ramen Price: BDT 365 + vat Ratings: Food: 6/10 Service: 7/10 Environment: 6/10 Conclusion: Will I go there again? Not really because i think the ramen is not worth the price. But I might go to try out their makizushis.

I have tried the seafood ramen which was the worst (sorry to say). Seafood means they only provide prawn and tofu in it nothing else. Taste is very average 😞. But they charge the most for the seafood among the three types.. lemon iced tea is basically (nestle iced tea with few drops of lemon) and the shushi was average good on scale. Hope their other food items are okay!

Disappointing ramen lacked flavor and texture, but the sushi redeemed the experience with fresh, well-crafted bites. Consider it for sushi, not ramen. No washroom inside the restaurant. Not a family friendly place.

    * Place is too small, their office is bigger than the restaurant. * The Ramen I had taste like তরকারির ঝোল rather than SOUP. * still they tried their best to be serviceable.

The first time they served the poutine, we found a hair in it. They changed it though. Even if I overlook the amount of cheese and sauce, the sauce was so sweet with no other taste, no tanginess or saltiness from the cheese. It seemed like we were having fries with custard. And the prawn hargao was raw inside, I could literally smell raw shrimp. when I complained, the server said it's supposed to be that way. If these aren't enough, they were taking the trash can in and out every now and then while we were dining.

Loved their foods. Their sushi is not great but good. It is not spacious. Most of the part is dedicated for smoking zone. Washroom is outside the restaurant. That's a major problem.

A restaurant situated among many other eateries in Lalmatia. It is hard to find a quality sushi place or japanese/korean food restaurant here. But this place, no matter how small - truly delivers. Upon entering, we ordered an apple juice. Because they don't serve soft drinks there. The apple juice was made of real apples! Truly refreshing, sweet, slightly tangy. We ordered their maki roll platter, a gochujang fried chicken, panko crusted calamari rolls and a chicken ramen bowl. Every food was up to the mark. The maki rolls were fresh, size was good, and very filling yet very light. They serve their maki rolls with wasabi balls, pickled ginger slices and soya sauce. The sides go very well with the dish and the fact that they have 'kikkoman soya sauce' in every table - is really impressive. The calamaris were very good - crunchy, chewy, slightly spicy. Could be one of the best calamaris out there. The gochujang fried chicken has to be a homerunner. It's sweet, lightly spicy, saucy yet very crunchy. Usually saucy wings or fries don't really have a crunch in them - but this one did and it really sets it to a whole new level. Now, the star of the show - the ramen bowl. Basically we went there because I was craving ramen all day and this bowl did not disappoint. The ramen was very generous in amount. The broth was very flavourful, sweet, savoury, spicy and salty. Also, the aroma was very nice. The chicken slices were also very delicious. The eggs on the topping were perfectly soft-boiled. To be honest, if we only took the ramen it would have been enough. It took a while to finish the whole bowl but finished it with great satisfaction. The only downside of this place will be - the interior. The interior looks so shabby that it was hard to believe this place could deliver hygienic, delicious food. But they maintained great hygiene in their servings (hope they maintain it). We asked for chopsticks for our sushi and ramen - and the chopsticks were clean. One chopstick had an issue though - but upon asking they immediately changed it. I hope they switch to a nicer, bigger place soon which has more than two tables in it. Definitely recommended. Specially for the Gochujang Fried Chicken.

Teriyaki beef & chicken were nice(pic). (4.3~4.6/5 for me) Previously tried udon which was also good. The interior is nice and cozy and beautifully designed in that compact space. Will recommend if you like thai cuisine.

I found this restaurant Pretty good. Sea food Fried rice was good in test amd quantity. Ramen soup was not that up to the mark a bit spicy would be better(7/10). One thing caught my that most of the restaurant's foods pricing is including 5% VAT but Theirs not. They also charge SD 5%. Food price should be included vat for better customer Reach.

TBC was such a good place to have sushi in Dhaka, but their food quality and taste dropped gradually over time. I don't know if it's just me or everyone has the same opinion. I ordered salmon nigiri and California roll Both tasted bad. Even salmon was on the nigiri not looking like salmon. It was one of the worst nigiri I have ever tried. Thank god I didn't get food poisoning. My nephew ordered katsu curry and it was actually okay but they put loads of carrots inside curry sauce. TBC is a cosy restaurant. Service was ok. The atmosphere was okay as well. I would rather take my food home and eat. I hope they will improve in the future.

The ramen was horrible. The broth was awful. The chicken served with the ramen was soggy. Only the egg was ok From the bento only the fried rice and chicken katsu was ok. Sushi was so so(not a fan). Midi soup was so bad Not recommending this place

recommended dish: tiger roll sushi a small restaurant featuring japanse food items with great quality in them. i mainly go here for their tiger roll sushi. rice, prawn tempura, and avocado rolled in a sheet of nori (seaweed) and topped with a mild sweet pink sauce. dip it in soy sauce and enjoy all the flavours filling up in your mouth. if you want to try other items but are short on money, go for the sushi platter. it is almost 800 taka serving 12 pieces of 4 different sushi (picture given below). it contains 4 pieces of tiger roll, 4 of philadelphia roll, 4 of california roll, and 4 of tempura lovers roll. in the picture below, we replaced philadelphia with california because we did not like the idea of having creamy cheese with rice. yes, cheese and rice. the tempura lovers sushi has a smoky flavour to its shrimp in the middle. crispy topings just emphasize that flavour a little more

Me and my cousin recently visited TBC Dhanmondi, a Japanese-themed restaurant located in Dhanmondi behind Bengal Boi. The restaurant has a cozy and beautiful ambiance, neither too big nor too small. Although there is no designated smoking zone, the staff is accommodating and will provide an ashtray if requested, allowing you to smoke at your table. During our visit, we ordered the Lime Chicken Shumai which consisted of 5 pieces. The taste of the dumplings was outstanding. Each bite was bursting with flavors, and the combination of lime and chicken created a delightful and refreshing twist to the traditional shumai. We also tried the Chicken Bento, and while the taste was decent, it didn't quite live up to the exceptional flavors of the shumai. The chicken in the bento was flavorful and cooked well, but it lacked the same level of uniqueness and excitement as the Lime Chicken Shumai. Also, the chicken was kind of sweet which I did not like. They also have imported cokes, I ordered one, but it was not cold enough. So I cancelled the order. Overall, TBC Dhanmondi offers a delightful dining experience with its cozy ambiance and flavorful dishes. If you're a fan of Japanese cuisine and looking for a cozy spot to enjoy delicious Japanese foods, TBC Dhanmondi is worth a visit.

My go-to spot for ramen in dhaka and my favourite ramen (chicken spicy ramen with extra spice). Very tasty and noodles are cooked perfectly imo. Just wish it was a little bigger with more seating arrangements. Also new cloud kitchen menu added. Only gripe is they only sell imported drinks, but water is MSRP.

I wish I could give more stars to this place. We always ordered sushi home from this place but actually visiting this hole in the wall restaurant and trying out other dishes, in was amazed. The best ramen in Dhaka. I'll fight anyone who says otherwise. The sushi and har gaw are top notch, the katsu curry was delious and even their green Thai curry was better than most Thai restaurant. Absolutely love it's right next to our home so I can gorge on this heavenly food whenever I crave it.

I tried 'lime chicken shumai' and 'miso chicken dumpling'. Both taste so good! I'll definitely take their delicious food again. The dumpling sauce they provided with the dumplings is tasty but a bit more salty than average. For the dumpling lovers - their dumplings are a must try!
