This flower garden is in front of Sir PJ Hartog International Hall of Dhaka University. Sir PJ Hartog was the first Vice-Chancellor of Dhaka University, he was also a British bureaucrat. In his honor, the international hall was built behind the art and commerce building of the present Dhaka University area. Before 1990 many foreign students lived here. That is why it is named International Hall. Of course, the number of foreign students has decreased, so the teachers of Dhaka University also live in that hall. The atmosphere inside the hall is pleasant and aesthetic. The garden in front, it has less flowers, more leaves. There are many fruit and forest trees around. But all of this has been spoiled by the commercial building's air cooler. This device is destroying the environment and climate.
