😐 Taste is not good. Quantity poor. I just enjoyed prawn tampura. Rest of food was tasteless. Atmosphere is fantastic. Service is ok. I asked for a suggestion and they suggested me poor looking dish which was orange chicken. Too much sour taste no sweet at all. Its supposed to be sweet and sour taste... Taste is not good. Quantity poor. I just enjoyed prawn tampura. Rest of food was tasteless. Atmosphere is fantastic. Service is ok. I asked for a suggestion and they suggested me poor looking dish which was orange chicken. Too much sour taste no sweet at all. Its supposed to be sweet and sour taste with orange flavour. Fried rice was bland. Have to taste i think they forgot to make rice without seasoning. Not a good experience at all.

Tokyo Express is my go-to spot for Japanese delights served in the most appetizing way possible. No funky smells emanating from the sushi counter – a win in my book. The bento boxes are a delightful journey for the taste buds, and personally, the classic bento box is a standout. And let's talk about the fresh juices – they're not just good, they're great! A refreshing sip that perfectly complements the savory notes of the Japanese cuisine they serve.

The environment quite peaceful and less crowdy & wide. Food prices although expensive than the food taste, tempura and sushi tasted yummy , Mint chillee was so refreshing; others tasted average, but i must say you won’t be disheartened.. happy meal!

Everything about this restaurant was great. The place was clean and smelled good. Exciting yet calm interior, soothing lighting and excellent sitting arrangement. The staff and greeter was very nice. Our waiter was awesome, the staff also worked as a team in bringing and cleaning up our table. I think I don’t have to say much about their food. Ordered the Classic Bento Box, Chicken Teriyaki Maki and Fried Prawn Maki. And, I'll come again to explore their elaborate menu of Japanese cuisine. #Recommended.

Been a lover of their Bento Box since 2016; would takeaway every 2 weeks. They've gotten quite expensive over the few years but offer great deals during holidays. They've got the same serene ambiance as always and their staff is well-trained & food doesn't take long to arrive. The chillers are too expensive though but mostly cause they sell by the pitcher. They should seriously offer smaller portions. Their sushi is always fresh, never stinky or sour, always soft & well-salted. The only problem is that the incandescent lighting makes the place too hot especially during the summer. Better ACs are needed. The best of the best are the Nanban, Jumbo Prawn Tempura & California Maki. Honorable mention: the sizzling brownie.

I Love Japanese Foods and No Wonder I loved Tokyo Express in my First visit. They have variety of unique items that are super tasty and sumptuous. We went for Bento Box and Pomegranate Orange Chiller. The chiller is highly recommended and so is the Bento Box. The beef Nori Taco was out of the world. But keep in mind if you are going in groups, at least BDT 1500tk is required to be spent. Although I believe the wait time could be cut down. We want during peak lunch hour and it was quite empty. It's an improvement point for this joint.

Immediately upon entering the restaurant, I felt great with the dark room along with the warm light fitted ambient of the restaurant. Each table fitted with an automated caller to call in the helpful servers who were really friendly and informative. I ordered the Tokyo Special Ramen and Spicy Salmon Temaki. My only gripe was that with the ramen, some of the mushrooms overwhelmed the taste of other ingredients so which left a bit more for my taste buds to desire. Apart from that I would recommend this place. They also got sushi and nigiri which I seek to try next time.

Tokyo Express. Vegetable Tempura had some crunch in the texture was more like a fritter of some sort rather than a a tempura. Sauce had some wierd sweetness too. Special Rahmen was barely edible with super high salt content from miso and barbaric garlic flavor. The soft and round noodles were more like spaghetti than a ramen. Yakitori was again quite sweet and bland but at least it was edible. Zero customers at lunch time on a week day.

Food is really good. I have tasted 2 of there platters : regular platter and Tokyo platter. Both are good. If you are really hungry and need some rice to fill up your stomach Regular platter is recommended for you. If you like to taste different kind of sushis Tokyo platter is for you. I have also tasted 2 of there chillers : coconut and mint chillers. Both are good.

Tokyo Bento Box contained Miso Soup, Tokugawa Cuttlefish Tempuras, Vegetarian's Tempuras, Salmon Sushi, Prawn Sushi, Shrimp Cheese Roll, Crab Salmon Roll, Salmon Sashimi, Negimaki Beef Rolls, and Garlic Prawns. Hated the soup. It was bland and tasteless. Liked the Garlic Prawn, Beef Roll, and the Sushis. I don't know how I feel about Sashimis. It was my first time eating those and I thought it was meh. The tempuras were also very good. Overall it was an okay bento box and seemed kind of overpriced to me. I liked the Classic Bento more. Classic Bento Box had Jumbo Prawn Tempura, Vegetarians Tempura, Salmon Sushi, Cuttlefish Sushi, California Maki, Fried Prawn Maki, Chicken Nunbuns, Chicken Teriyaki, Nagasaki Sizzling Beef, and Tokyo Fried Rice. I liked most of the items here. This is a nice bento box with quality food. I liked this one. Tokyo Fried Rice was just fried rice vegetables. It was a bit spicy and it required a side dish. I liked the flavor though. Nagasaki Sizzling Chicken was very nice. It had a good quantity and quality. I loved the spices that were used in it. The flavor of garlic was strong in this dish which worked to its advantage. Chillers was something unique. But unfortunately, not all of them were good. Dragon Chiller was a bland juice of Dragon fruit. It was a watered-down version of Dragon fruit juice. On the other hand, Pomegranate Chiller was very refreshing and chilled which was really good. I liked the environment of that place. It's a really family friendly place. The interior was great and the service was really good. I just thought everything was just a bit too pricy.

I'm not that big of a Japanese food connoisseur (yet), but I can certainly say my experience at Tokyo Express was commendable enough to convince me to explore Japanese cuisine more. As I was confused as always about what to order, I went for a bento box that contained almost every must-have Japanese item, all of which tasted distinct in flavor and some certainly better than others. I also added a cuttlefish dish alongside it. With a combination of sweet, spicy, and crunchy flavor, along with intricate cuts, this fish is probably the best Japanese dish I've ever tried. Definitely recommend this place for japanese lovers.

Very nice atmosphere, thay have orthotic Japanese cuisine , very good food quality . If you like Japanese food you will definitely like this place. I won't say it's affordable price but if you want orthotic "Susi" it's a great place with good price.

Visited this restaurant few hours ago, I'm overwhelmed with their food, service, environment. Tried Dragon roll, Yakitori chicken, Chicken Udon. I was never been a sushi person, but I think this restaurant has changed my taste! Their bangali fusion sushis can make you a sushi-lover for sure!! They took 10mins at max to serve the food after placing the order! It was another good point I believe. Even in Friday evening the place was calm and less crowded. You can enjoy your food in a soothing ambiance.

Like this place... Both food & atmosphere are up to the mark.. Great services quality.. Food was also tasty & reasonable according to the place. Just cut 1 start just for the washroom. As you may say its a premium level restaurant, so their restroom should be in that level. Otherwise everything was nice Recommending this placre

Their chicken nanban is my absolute favourite. Also love their jumbo prawn tempura. Their sushis are pretty good. Really sad that their Dhanmondi branch closed down few years back.

It was ok. It was good but we have tried much better brownies elsewhere. But overall the ambient the service was amazing. 1. Classic bento box- 1260bdt 2. Mint Chiller- 160bdt 3. Sizzling brownie- 290bdt *5% Vat and 10% Service charge will be added.

Heard a lot about this place and tried it for the first time. Good for "deshi" style Japanese food. In general the quality of food and the ambience was very good, the staff were professional and helpful. I tried the sushi over there and unfortunately it was below par. On this particular visit, the sushi rice was overcooked and mushy and underseasoned. The same can be said about the Tokyo fried rice we ordered i.e. it was supposed to be sticky but not mushy. The quality of sashimi was acceptable for the price we paid. The sizzling beef was also over spiced and oily. I would suggest reducing the variety of items and concentrate on doing some dishes very well. Overall, recommended but I probably would rather try other restaurants if you want proper Japanese food.

This place is not only good for food but service And atmosphere. This restaurant always maintains their cleanliness, food quality and services. Good for solo, friends and family. For a mini occasion you can reserve this place too. On the menu they have well balanced foods that will make you happy. Japanese Fusion, sushi, soup, fried foods, salads, juices, lemonades are on the top list. Recently they have added Tacos which were pretty tasty. You can enjoy the Bento Box & they have a few types of that. Also you can order from the menu for 2 or 4. Most of the item is good for 2 people. But it will always be a smart idea to go with friends. So you can order most of the items so everyone can taste and share foods. That will be Kore fun. Dessert items are good too. Overall I had a very good experience at Tokyo Express. They are open everyday. Especially on Eid and other Holidays. They stay open late at night.

If you have time to kill and want something worth the price, try the bento boxes.I ordered a juice and Salmon Sashimi, and told them to give the drink first. The juice took 20 minutes to arrive. 3 star service, but the sashimi was good. The Wasabi,as seen on the bottom left of the sashimi, reminded me of Sushi king in Canada. Overall impression is that this area has better restaurants with similar or better menu and better service.

Food here is very average. Perhaps they had a bad day in the kitchen. Our sashimi was a little frozen and chewy in the middle. Most of the sushi and sashimi fish were average. Fried rice was okay. Service here is terrible. Although I cannot recommend at this time but I plan to revisit soon

The California Maki and the Cream Crab roll was so good. The nanban tasted average. I went there again. Had lunch. The place is amazing. Really enjoyed their grilled Octopus and Squid, Sizzling Prawn and Cream Salmon maki. Also tried their popular dish beef nori taco which we didn't love much. The beef tasted a bit sweet.

It's takes literally 10 minutes for me to read the whole menu, I was loosing my concentration while reading because of a very loud table. We had to change our table, and noticed that one other table also did the same. I understand everyone has the right to loud, shout while they are out , but not that loud in a public place where you are too much annoying others. We ordered lychee mojito pitcher, was Good but honestly unable to get any lychee flavors in it, only strong flavours of mojito syrup. Chicken tempura was good but I expected them less oily it's a ordinary tempura like other restaurant do. Chichen udon was amazingly good 👍. And the negimaki beef roll was a hit. Just fall in love with the beef roll with wasabi. The service was very poor, even I had to call their waiter to tell them someone else are calling them for their assistance. Service is a continuous process where they can improve all the time. I gave them 5star as the food was great, and as a foodie that my demand while I dine out.

It was a good experience spending few minutes with friends and having some tasty treats. I experienced the Salmon sushi for first time here. Since I'm not an sushi lover, I can't judge the taste and quality of sushi, but the fried 🍤 and drinks was awesome. If I ever got any chances to visit here again, I'll definitely try the fried 🍤, juice along with other food item.
