It was an amazing experience here. Many varieties of items can be found here. All the foods were really good. Quality and quantity both were up to mark. Creamy shrimp noodles,nanban and bao, loved every item. Environment is very cozy and well decorated. Staffs were well mannered and responsive. Prices are slightly expensive but reasonable. Definitely a must visit place. Parking and smoking zone is available.

Went there for Iftar. Had their iftar platter 1. The quantity and taste was good. The chicken was quite delicious. This platter did not have any savoury bao, only one chocolate bao. The chocolate was good but could've been served hotter so that the whole of the chocolate inside had melted. Their service was very sub par. They probably underestimated the iftar rush, although it was a book in advance setup so they should've had an idea regarding the number of people who would show up. The iftar service was very slow. They also couldn't serve enough utensils after the food was served and some of us had to wait till they could provide us with some utensils and that too they forgot to give the knife. And when serving drinks, they also were very slow as we normally break the fast with some sort of drink, so that was a let down. Also they probably over booked the place for iftar, there was hardly any place to move around and it was really noisy. Will probably give them another try on a normal day.

Although 'Bao' means "precious treasure", their food or restaurant itself is not near to any kind of precious. Foods are very very ordinary in taste. Just they try to decorate the foods like the Chinese. The Interior space is very congested and the sitting arrangement is very ordinary. Compare to the food and environment. the price of the food is on the higher side.

Small place with a good range of dishes. Prices are worthy according to the taste and quantity. They could made the sofas more comfortable, setting arrangements aren’t spacious. They use lemon leaves in rice and it gives a kick to the taste which is very refreshing. Beef minced and cooked properly. Behaviour of the attendants are good but service could be better. But then again, food taste covers these all.

Went there to taste their bao’s. I took Teriyaki Bao, which now costs 370 BDT including VAT. The bao bun tastes like traditional bao which is little sweet in flavor. Chicken was good. Fries had a good taste but they were served cold which was a downfall. The ambiance was good. Overall nice little place for a casual meeting or a friendly get together.

Apart from the chicken dim sum, I didn't like any of their food. The masala tea was a total disappointment, it was just warm water and a tea bag. The sitting arrangement is congested and the interior isn't lively. Overall, it is an average restaurant. The place is very cool and calm. The space is smaller than other restaurants. Food quality is good. I didn't like their sitting arrangements. They can make some improvements in this section. Service is fine. The price is a little bit higher than this kind of other restaurant .

Creamy prawn bao from @bao_dhaka . . Bao was really hyped when it first opened. At last, I thought of paying a visit. Looking on the menu and previous reviews by others, I went for creamy prawn bao and orange juice. . . Creamy prawn bao- prawn mixed with garlic, cream and milk which altogether made the gravy sweet. The dough was really soft, tender that totally satisfied me. French fries were unexpectedly good because in my places, french fries as a side doesn't bring good taste. Also their special sauce. Scrumptious in one word. . . Orange juice- sweet, refreshing, dense . . Rating- 9/10 Price- 289+ BDT for creamy prawn bao and orange juice 179+ BDT . . Ambience- not overly crowded, peaceful, simple yet beautifully decorated, a bit dark for taking pictures Service- Really good and welcoming behaviour .

The place and the waiters are well maintained but the food is terrible specially the dim sum. We ordered chicken shu mai, prawn har gao and jumbo prawn. 1st problem they served those in a plate instead of bamboo steamer which made those dim sum skin/wrapper already teared apart. It was a bit soggy. Hard to grab those in chopsticks. The taste of the dim sum was not good specially the har gao. This is not har gao this is just a chicken and prawn dumpling. The Bao is okay but overpriced. Only One Piece of Bao with wedges and salad. It will be good if they provide at least 2 baos. If you want to visit just try their bao.

If you want to try something different in your lunch or dinner time, try Bao. Their speciality Bao Buns are great choice for a complete meal which are served with the best fries i have ever had in Dhaka and coleslaw. Their chicken dumplings were really good when they were first added to the menu, but with time quality and presentation for the dumplings have declined. Their fried chicken goes really well with the Indonesian fried rice which has quite the authentic taste if i say so. The noodles items could be ordered as appetizer as the quantity won't fulfill your hunger unless you eat like a bird. Don't waste money on dessert, better head to Tabaq Coffee or North End for dessert. A piece of advice do not order the 2/4 person Bao platter. The amount of food is very less, better order individually, the price will be same with more food on the plate. Overall 4 🌟

My most favorite place. Back in 2017 my office used to be right beside Bao and I used to come here for lunch.. this is still one of my most favorite restaurants. The food was and still is the best. You can also order foods from Kiva hun which is right beside this place.

Excellent place. Food is really tasty and also not that expensive. I tried their Bento Box and it was really good. The quantity of food is also good. The Bento Box was enough for my lunch. They have nice variety in food. The ambience is good but some might feel their area is a bit small. Anyways I'm definitely coming back and will recommend people to try it out.

Great restaurant, great environment, fantastic food, expensive though, totally worth it, it's a must try, fabulous environment, loved their services, their good attitude. However, there's no dbbl Nexus card access, Visa and mx card card perfectly working.

Their menu is like a puzzle. I had to cancel one order when I realized that one of the ingredient is not good for me. But it was not mentioned in that menu.

A rustic little place with a comfortable ambiance. We loved the naga bao and wings but the grilled mushrooms were surprisingly bad.

Food and service were not appropriately at all.chilli beef is taste like sweet. Though is my personal opinion. AC was turned off at 10pm. It was hot inside. Overall I was not satisfied. The big mess up the server made even though I told him that who will pay the bill, the server at the end pass the bill to that friend who suppose to get the treat.

We took naga rojo bao, teriyaki rice and prawn creamy bao. Every of the item was amazing with a good portion of everything, and the teriyaki rice was worth every penny. Only bad thing was the prawn was undercooked in the prawn bao.

After complaining the issue they didn't bother to change my order or don't even say sorry. That was unexpected from Bao. Except that incident service was good.
