Cafe Rio Gulshan is a good for a buffet lover. It has some unique food items that many buffets don't offer such as cream of mushroom soup, Mini steak etc. However, I feel like their price is a bit too much. I get it, it is in Gulshan so the price needs to be higher, but I prefer they should lower the item and lower the price. If the price range is 800-900 I think it will be the best buffet in Gulshan. Anyway, the food tastes good and the place is also cozy. Overall, Food - 8.5/10 Environment - 8/10 Behavior - 7.5/10 (their stuff doesn't care about you if you go alone or two person)

Unlike most buffet places, The Cafe Rio offered fresh watermelon juice and orange juice which took my heart right then and there. While the soups and starters were ok, the main dishes were extremely good. All their mutton based items tasted really well. Lastly the desserts, not being a fan of desserts myself, I didn't like the desserts much. They also had ice-cream which was a great plus in itself

This cafe offers buffet lunch and dinner with sufficient items at reasonable price. Some items are good in taste, some are average. They didn't accept card for payment from me, I need to pay by cash; but after payment I saw they are receiving payment by card from some customers. This discrepancy is indecent. No car parking available for this cafe. Need to park car at insecure street with risk of being fined by police, lost of car mirror, logo etc. by thief (some of my friends suffered these consequences).

Went there as a party of 22 family members to have dinner together for the 31st December. The item selections on the buffet were really good. Soups and appetizers were very tasty. The chinese menu options tasted far better than the desi menu items. The fried rice, beef steak, chicken fry, and chilli prawn were the best tasty dishes. In the desi side, i only liked the mutton biriyani and naan was soft. Everything else was sort of bland or wasn't cooked to perfection. Desserts were pretty good, specially the donuts, shahi tukra, and chocolate cheese cake were really tasty. The ice creams was refreshing to have as well.

I visited this restaurant about a few weeks ago. The day wasn't a weekend so it was pretty less gathering and people were able to turn around very easily. I tried 60% to 70% of items and I found the maximum are fresh and tasty. They have a good scale of seafood items and thigh items. The environment was quiet and clean and witers were very nice behaved and cooperative. The only thing that I don't like, They don't accept card payments not even any digital payments. So guests have to pay only cash and this is very embarrassing situation who do not carry much cash amounts like me. And one thing that my colleagues don't like is they don't have car parking at all. They only have paid bike parking. So guests have to park their car on the roadside!

Tremendously sugary! I went there for several times with family, I complained them about there bad foods but no use. Mostly meets seemed expired and stomach felt unbearable after eating for 2 days. They apply sugar to everything so that your appetite goes away and you can’t eat properly. This is my last time going there. Not going anymore!

Short review : Lots of items with dynamic range, hardly missed any item. Food is not top notch, rather few items are really good, most of them are average and some are worst Detailed review : If your main priority is quality and taste of the food, this buffet is not for you. Some items really tasted good but most of them are average with some of them below average. But if you care about dymamic range of items, need a photogenic place to hangout with colleagues/friends/family along with tasting different kind of foods, it probably suits you best. Their chicken and french fry items were worst, couldn't chew them, maybe cooked long time ago. But beef and soup was really good, dessert item tasted good enough. Most items tasted average. But they literally had items from chicken, beef to prawn, octopus, crab, mussels etc, fried rice, polaw to kacchi, lots of desserts, ice cream, coffee, juice to iced tea, sandwitch, french fry, wonthon, spring roll to shwarma, pizza, chotpoti fuska to yogurt, salad etc. Think carefully what your priorities are before coming here and decide.

One of the best buffet restaurant inside Dhaka city with affordable price. It was 120 + items in the menu including octopus crab and unlimited ice cream during the lunch time. Environment of quite good and the decoration was also attractive and coloured with blue. Almost all food found okay and warm enough. Location is favourable as it was near to Gulshan 1 circle.

Fantastic Buffet. A lots of options to choose. They refill until 9:30 . Their crabs and fishes are awesome. But the muttons should be more spicy. They have some sea food items too. The octopus dish is the worst, never try it. The cakes taste good too. If you love halim, take it before 8 pm. They dont refill halim and soups.

Good place. The variation of the food and the taste of them were pretty good. Most of the items I tried were tasty. Loved their Indian dishes too. I was a little disappointed with their live kabab station, as most of the times, I couldn't get anything from there. We visited there on an evening on weekday, this place was extremely crowded even then. They needed reservation in prior to enter. Being a place well reputed for their food and for the location, it's understandable. So remember to reserve your seats before visiting there. The service was good. They are not to strict on the child policy, they waived the charges of 2 of our kids without enquiring about their ages. The entry though the market gets closed a little after 8.00 pm. In that case, you need to take the lift in front of the building (on the side of the main road). For the food, the place felt value for money. If you want to enjoy a calm evening, then it's not.

It was an amazing experience. This area is not as crowded as the Dhanmondi branch which makes the whole experience a lot better. The food was really good and varied. The atmosphere was also very nice. The stuffs were helpful. I would whole heartedly recommend it. 9/10.

I have to say, it was the worst seafood experience I've ever had, especially with the octopus and oysters. However, the other dishes were fantastic, especially the delicious beef. The chicken items were delicious as well. But the orange juice was horrible, full of sugar.

Foe me its more of 3 star but little less that 4 star. Most of the food items were good. Not smelly. A lot of items are added. Everyone will find skmething of his/ her choise. I tried the items which I usually like most. Beef was the best. Fishes ere good. Rice items were good. Fish was good. They have added unlimited water, juice and soft drinks. Though juices were below average. Desserts are okay. Served unlimited icecreams. They served igloo scoops and obviously they were good. Ambience ks fine. Photo lovers will not be dishearted. Location is perfect. Overall it is fine to spend 1250 for a buffet like this.

The Gulshan branch of The Cafe Rio is beautifully decorated with cosy and warm purple chairs and sofa. I specilly liked the bright and shiny lighting arrangements. It felt a little bit congested today, in both the food section and the seating areas. But it could be due to holiday night, there was an ongoing birthday party (which we were attending) and also lots of other customers, so a huge gathering may had made the restaurant congested for a while. The food items so far I have tasted were excellent! I Liked the clear thai soup as well as other chicken and sea food items very much. But the refill system was slow both for food items and crockeries. Overall I liked the place and food and it will be in my wish list to go there again to have lunch or dinner.

Expensive but food quality is quite good compared to other branch as well as buffet restaurant. Decoration of the restaurant is not bad but spaces is not sufficient. If your budget is high then you can go there, recommended.

Food was good, they refilled the dishes adter sometime. Less crowdy as it a working day I guess. Unlimited drinks option, but after sometime Pepsi was out of stock. Then they served 7up only. Some mouth watering dishes were: chicken cashewnut salad, kabsa, basha fish curry, kheer, thai soup, white sauce pasta etc.

Most of the food was average or below average except for a few items like Momos, Shawarma.. Ice cream used to be included in the Buffet menu but now they've excluded this item out of their menu and charge ৳150 per cup. Service is as usual as any other restaurant. Didn’t face any negativity. They were responsive and co-operative. The atmosphere is just BAD. Literally there is no better place to take a photo or selfie. The washroom mirror was the only nice place to take a photo and outside the restaurant.

Worst buffet ever in gulshan. They advertise 130+ items but didn’t found 100. Food quality or quantity both are below the standard levels. They don’t even refill properly and timely. Not recommend.

I had the pleasure of dining at The Cafe Rio, a premium restaurant nestled in the heart of Gulshan-1. From the moment I stepped in, it was evident that this establishment was in a league of its own. Specializing in the buffet category, The Cafe Rio boasts an impressive array of over 120 dishes, all available in unlimited quantities. The sheer variety and quality of offerings left me astounded. The extensive selection ranged from local delicacies to international cuisines, ensuring that every palate would find its match. From appetizers that tantalized the taste buds to delectable main courses and a tempting assortment of desserts, every dish was crafted with precision and care. The concept of limitless dining took on a new meaning here. The freedom to savor as many dishes as I pleased was a culinary adventure in itself. The quality was consistently top-notch, and each dish was a testament to the chef's expertise and dedication to culinary excellence. What truly set The Cafe Rio apart, however, was not just the food, but the entire experience. The employees' impeccable behavior and attentive service added a layer of warmth and comfort to the dining affair. Their knowledge about the dishes, coupled with their friendly demeanor, created an inviting atmosphere that made me feel like a welcomed guest. The environment at The Cafe Rio was another highlight. The ambiance struck the perfect balance between sophistication and relaxation. The tastefully designed interiors, soothing lighting, and thoughtfully curated music combined to create an environment that enhanced the dining experience. In a city where dining options are abundant, The Cafe Rio shines as a true gem. Its extensive buffet offering, coupled with the outstanding service and inviting ambiance, make it a destination for those seeking not just a meal, but an unforgettable culinary journey. Whether you're a connoisseur of fine dining or simply looking to indulge in an exceptional buffet experience, The Cafe Rio in Gulshan-1 is a must-visit.

One of the best buffet in this price range in gulshan. It has variety of foods to choose from. Though I went there 2 times to get their pizza but it was empty every time. In the dessert section only Shahi tukra was up to the mark according to my pallet. Overall it is good but not a "must try" thing.

Very good. We've enjoyed soo much, specially my wife . She loved it. The foods were very delicious and tasty. My 9 month old son enjoyed every fruit he could eat . Decorations and interior design was amazing. It's very important to get there in time.

This is a good place for a budget dine-in buffet. The variety of food items make you a good variety of choice. Assortment of sitting arrangement is a large number. So, corporate parties can be arranged here. Main problem is insufficient number of lifts comparing to the number of visitors. Taste of food items are good. The specialty of this restaurant is they have kept all the variety so that vegetarians, non-vegetarians or meat likers can have sufficient food.

Food quality average compared to the price.. The outlook of this particular branch is soothing and eye catching.. There are more salads than main course dishes.. But the current variety is standard. The complaints include the quality of foods that could have been a notch better. I had dinner with a couple of colleagues and faced the trouble of food running out, mainly the deserts and it was very heartbreaking..
