The lobster dish and the sea bream dish were very good! The flavors were very subtle and well-balanced. The wine list was extensive, and they had a good selection of wines from Burgundy. The food was simple and delicious. The service was quick and efficient.

A cozy little restaurant with friendly service and good food and wine. The dimmed lights create a relaxed atmosphere, however the acoustics don’t help much- at some point it was quite difficult to have a conversation without rather yelling at each other. Apart from that, we enjoyed our food (not mind blowing nor surprising in flavors, but simple and tasty). Wine was good as well, but we only tried the ones by glass, I am sure there are much nicer bottles on the menu (from just a quick look). Recommended for a nice dinner!

Typical French bistro in the western center of Amsterdam, has been here for 3.5 years says chef Pierre. You would think yourself somewhere in France with this great ambience. The restaurant was run at exceptional efficiency with one waiter and one chef (how?) and at least 20 couverts that night. The food was great: we started with tomatoes and eel, half a grilled lobster, some oysters with a crémant de Loire and as main we had sea bass with a bottle of chenin blanc (Loire of course). We ended by sharing a chocolate mousse which was amazing! Would definitely go here again!

We had a really nice experience here. Great authentic french food, friendly service and excellent wines. Best blood sausage I had in a long time 😋. Will definitely come back.

After their 8+ review in de Volkskrant I had to check this place for myself. And the only thing I can say, is that they deserved a 10+. The food is magnificent, the wines are beautifully selected, and the service is the best. In a time where it's pretty tough to get good staff, ô bistro managed to get the crème de la crème. I definitely go back, and if you haven't been at ô bistro, GO!

One of my favorite dining experiences in Amsterdam. A reservation is required but the food and atmosphere is totally worth it. The limited menu means every item is given a lot of thought and care. The waiter was easygoing and happy to give recommendations.

We've been here in November and had a great diner. All the flavours were perfectly matched. The sommelier and chef were both very attentive. We look forward to go back soon!

Excellent food. You must try the Côte de Boeuf! It’s world changing. The owner is wonderful and came to our table to discuss featured dishes and his favorite whisky recommendations. Even if you’re not sure what to order, you can’t go wrong because everything is so good! We look forward to visiting again soon.

O Bistro in Amsterdam delivers an authentic French culinary journey. Each dish is a masterpiece, showcasing impeccable flavors and presentation. The intimate ambiance complements the sophisticated menu. Attentive service and an extensive wine selection enhance the dining experience. Well above our expectations, an honestly priced restaurant with excellent entrees and a great selection of wines. The food is well crafted and each ingredient is there for a reason. Flavors are gracefully balanced. Also, the quality of the service is at a level rarely seen in Amsterdam. Bravo!

A couple of French guys own this place since 2021, I think. Pierre swings the kitchen by himself and his partner handles the service. Between the two of them, they do an amazing job. Never had to wait for anything, The menu is pretty small, but very creative. And changes quite often, if I understood Pierre correctly. We were there as a group of 7, friends and family. Asked them to put food to share: Tomato with eel, potato with anchovies, paté, all excellent. My favorite main was pork cheeks. So was the turbot.

The best restaurant I have been to in Netherlands. Everything was was perfect, the food tasted wonderful and parked with flavour. Service was very good even though it was just 3 of them at least that I saw, they were very efficient. I am definitely coming back and am telling anyone that asks me for a restaurant to go to “O Bistro”.

We had a charming dinner. The food was great, the service was soulful and friendly. The whole restaurant is run by 2 brother. One of them is the chef and the other the front of house manager and server. No one else. Everything was on time. Highly recommend!

I had the pleasure of eating here for lunch upon arriving from Brussels. This was one of the most memorable meals of the trip for me. The food was unfussy but delicious and beautifully prepared. Killer wine list. I could have picked a half dozen of the bottles and been ecstatic. The atmosphere was like being at a friend's home when he is not trying to impress you but welcome you in to make you feel comfortable, eat delicious food and have a laugh. I will be back anytime I go to Amsterdam. Bravo.

We enjoyed our dinner at o bistro. The service was friendly, food was nice, kind of like comfort food which reminded me of home cooking. The o ly comment would be that the meat lacked some seasoning, same for the garlic bread with snails. Wine was great. Atmosphere is cozy and warm. Amazed that almost all from the menu is gluten free!

The food (chicken ,& fish) was great for sure. But the service from the young lady was not good (i think American, she couldn't speak dutch). Her appearance was like she was annoyed and we didn't feel welcome. Make sure to smile a bit and be (or act)friendly. For example when we asked for mayonnaise she said "oke" but with a face like "why" and after it was smashed on the table. It felt like we should be happy we could sit there. I hope for the owner it was just one bad day for her, otherwise i would definitely hire someone else asap. The owner was super friendly though and knew how to serve his customers.

Delicious food. Great wine selection. A little slow service between starter and main but there is only one waiter so it makes sense…

Lovely bistro and my go-to place for French food in Amsterdam. Relaxed atmosphere with pro cooking and service. Chef Pierre cooks traditional French dishes perfectly, sometimes giving them his own inspired twist. Unpretentious and super tasty. The small menu changes regularly according to what’s in season. Friendly and warm welcome from host Daniele who doubles as the knowledgeable sommelier. Highly recommended.

From start to finish a meal at O bistro is a delight. The pâte is a menu standard and a must have. The majority of the menu changes often. It's packed with classic dishes executed to perfection. The service is great and the atmosphere is casual and fun. If you're looking for a great neighborhood french restaurant, look no further.

Very tasty pork patè and starter with mackerel, the main course (bavette) was also good. The service was a bit off: very slow to take the order, the wine arrived after food, and the bottle was opened inside the restaurant and arrived at the table outside already opened (that’s not the best thing when customers order a very nice and expensive bottle). Finally the waiter (and owner) ‘offered’ a limoncello to us and then made us pay it when the check arrived (8€). Offering means something different to me.

Extremely friendly service and very tasty food! The owner contacted me the night before asking me about my allergy and sharing the menu so I could make a selection. When we got to the restaurant, we had a very warm reception and all of the staff were really friendly. The food was great. We had a cauliflower appetizer, a trout fish (the whole thing!) for the main meal and a chocolate Soufflé (or maybe it was a cake). All great!

We had an amazing time at O bistrot with my boyfriend, the service was incredible, super warm with good advice and a smile which really feel like hospitality ☺️ (standing out compare to the usual Amsterdam service) food was on the same line very tasty with a great flavour balance and perfectly juicy cooked meat 😍. We will be back!!!

This is hands down one of the best places in Amsterdam. Honest food, great service, fantastic vibe and a solid wine list. The guys behind ô bistro created the ultimate bistro place, with none of the typical Amsterdam pretentiousness! Bravi!

Everything we ate exceeded our expectations and Daniele's advice on which wine to pair with was the icing on the cake. A must try!

Simply the best. Daniele (Italian host) and Pierre (french chef) have crafted the perfect bistro gem in the heart of Jordaan. Outstanding !

Such. Amazing. Food. Service is fantastic and love the wine selection and the food. The chef has a real talent and the blond server is so on it that you’ll feel like you’re at dinner at your best friends’ house, only that your best friends run an incredible restaurant.

Holiday from home - sitting here and enjoying good food, overlooking the street and the big street, is this how a visitor would experience this hidden gem? Such a lovely neighbourhood restaurant.

In a cozy location in Jordan. Selected dishes very well made. Since there are not so many options (a couple of appetizers and a couple of main dishes) I would not recommend it to everyone because there is not much choice. However the taste of the dishes was definitely worth it. Great selection of wine (pricey)!

👍👍 The perfect place to enjoy high-quality seafood at a reasonable price. Was surprised to see this large restaurant buzzing at 5pm (both inside and outside!) but after seeing the fresh fish on display and trying the sashimi which just melts in the mouth I understood why. The staff were also very well-...
