I've been travelling around Europe and this is by far the BEST hotel I've stayed in with my partner. Lovely, helpful and friendly staff from the entrance all the way to the reception and during breakfast service. The room was extremely gorgeous, clean and comfortable. If I could, I would give a 10/10 for the comfort of the bed, worth every penny. Location was great to, easily find a good bar or restaurant nearby. Would definitely be back if I am in Dublin.

I am a bit late with the review as I had my head in the clouds :) We got married in Merrion hotel at the end of June, it was only 5 of us, so it was just a small celebration! I am not sure was it all heightened by the lockdown and we were just out of it but it was magical! Hotel went above and beyond to make our small celebration unforgettable ! so our humble thank you from the bottom of our hearts goes to every single member of staff who made it possible :) The atmosphere was just dazzling, food was delicious and staff - staff what makes the place so wonderful. they made us feel at ease and welcoming. It was my first time stepping into this magical building and hopefully it won't be the last :) I often pass by Merrion hotel and I am delighted that anytime I will pass it will bring me the most wonderful memories. Thank you... and I look forward coming back there sometime in the near future

An absolutely lovely hotel with some of the best staff ever. We thoroughly enjoyed every minute of our stay here. The only exception would be the adjoining Patrick Guildbaud restaurant - not worth the time or money. Front desk, room service, bell staff, housekeeping, and spa services - everyone was fabulous. And the hotel itself is beautiful and very comfortable.

I was the wedding photographer in the Merrion Hotel last week. The staff were so helpful and friendly. Laura & Megan in events pulled out all the stops to make sure the day operated seamlessly. The Wellington and The Wellesley Room were gorgeous set up drinks reception and dinner. We didn't have to leave the grounds of the Merrion for portraits with the courtyard serving as the perfect spot for bridal party photos and the staircase the perfect backdrop for the couples photos. I can't wait to get back to the Merrion Hotel for my next wedding.

Α wonderful hotel in the center of Dublin. The wonderful grounds of the hotel combined with the highly trained staff combine a perfect place to stay. The building is fantastic and well maintained. The staff some of the most professionally trained I have come across. The location of the hotel is the ideal for anyone who wants to get to know Dublin.

I pass - and frequent - this store occasionally. I would not do a major shop there. It’s one of several DS shops in the area, and they help raise the tone overall. I find the shop bright, airy, spacious, and well stocked. Staff are friendly and helpful. The Customer Service desk is a shining light.

Having worked at a 5 star hotel myself, The Merrion really takes 5 star to a whole new level! Nothing I can fault about my stay, from start to finish the whole experience was amazing! A little luxury I hope everyone can enjoy at least once in their life! Also the French toast at the garden room for breakfast, BEST one I’ve ever had! Thanks to the whole team.

Totally enjoyed staying at this excellent hotel. We stayed two different times at this superb hotel in Dublin. What a treat! Everything is perfect and well organized. Definitely you feel the care and professionalism of the whole team, everyone knows his job perfectly and everything runs smooth at this beautiful elegant hotel. Cannot wait to go back, worth going back to Dublin just to enjoy the Merrion again!

Truly beautiful rooms, entire hotel has a great feel last and aesthetic to it. The staff was the friendliest that I’ve ever encountered at a hotel, always wanted to help and give suggestions. Lovely breakfast in the morning at the hotel. Can’t say enough good things about the Merrion Dublin.

We had dinner in the garden restaurant and a cocktail in the upstairs bar. Elegance personified. The staff very friendly but unobtrusive and efficient. The Restaurant wonderful. The menu had a very wide choice. Price wise from medium to high depending on your choice. But the ambience magnificent and again the staff friendly, efficient and unobtrusive. Top marks. Will be back.

Had a lovely few days in the Merrion. This hotel is second to none and the fantastic staff really made it. We’re already looking forward to our next visit. Special mention to Ben and the lovely staff in the Cellar bar.

Wonderful afternoon tea. Food was amazing and the staff were so nice. The pianist Scot Newman was absolutely incredible and really added to the experience.

Such a lovely hotel. Really great service and nice, clean rooms. The bed was incredibly comfortable. The location is close enough where you can walk to a lot of Dublin’s popular destinations (Trinity, Temple Bar, etc). The Garden restaurant was really lovely and had plenty of options, including vegan options. We were really impressed with our stay and would stay again.

Cannot say enough about this Dublin gem of a property. From the service to the room comfort, especially the bed, to the food and very yummy cocktails - 24 hours if you need it :) Just a lovely hotel, I’ll be back! Oh and the Cellar - look it up - so special!

This hotel has excellent service and food. We stayed in one of the suites and enjoyed it. We did find the soundproofing as not up to the level of quality of the hotel and our feeling was that it was expensive for the overall experience. I would stay again. I think the wonderful service from the staff was the most memorable part of my stay. Every level of staff was warm, friendly, and smiling. They were all happy to help with anything. You left feeling that this place was a nice place to work

The location is good, not great. The room is nice, but nothing special. What is exceptional is the staff, who are plentiful and bend over backwards to help. They will all drop whatever they are doing to assist you. If you are in the fabulous Cellar bar and see the guy in the photo, buy him a drink and say hello from Scott and Cindy in Idaho.

I've been lucky enough to have photographed over 20 wedding in the Merrion hotel and I wanted to leave a review from the perspective of a wedding photographer. The Merrion is one of my favorite venues to photograph in Dublin. Every corner of the hotel is a photographer's dream, with lush gardens, charming courtyards, and exquisite rooms. The wedding team in the Merrion also deserve a special mention. Their professionalism, attentiveness, and genuine enthusiasm for creating unforgettable experiences for couples and their guests make the entire process seamless and enjoyable for everyone involved. Whether photographing an intimate ceremony in the private gardens or a grand celebration in one of the beautifully regal ballrooms, I could't' recommend the Merrion Hotel highly enough.

It's a very high end hotel. Service is impeccable. The rooms are nice if somewhat old school in their decor. Food is very good. It's just so expensive. ÂŁ40 for breakfast is a lot. But work pays so I don't mind.

Beautiful hotel and great service from the moment you arrive until you leave. We went for afternoon tea to celebrate a birthday and it was exceptional. The ladies serving us were so friendly and helpful and catered to all our needs. Fabulous selection of teas, cake, savoury sandwiches and the custom Art tea deserts were exquisite. Wonderful relaxed atmosphere. Lovely way to spend a birthday.

Luxury hotel in the city centre. Excellent service, facilities. Impeccable cleanliness. I was declined a late Check out with the claim that the hotel was full. Plenty of rooms available online. I guess it's business before doing the extra step for the customer. Not going back.

The Merrion is an exquisite property in the heart of Dublin. I have stayed at nearly 50 five star resorts at this point and The Merrion ranks among the best. It is beautifully maintained, rooms are beautiful yet functional, and facilities are top notch. But what makes it truly exceptional is the customer service. We had loud construction noises in our room and mentioned to the front desk. The next morning, we were offered an upgrade and our room was moved for us in the blink of an eye. Credit goes to Jack Fitzgerald, the Assistant Guest Relations manager. He was so kind, caring and well mannered. He would even kneel on one knee while speaking with us at breakfast so he could meet our gaze. We can’t wait to come back to The Merrion in the future! Thank you to Jack and the team.

The location is excellent, within walking distance to Grafton Street, tour buses, a Catholic church, pubs, restaurants, a park and shopping. The hotel has beautiful indoor and outdoor spaces, the staff was friendly and accommodating, the concierge was extremely helpful in answering all our questions and requests, and the food in the hotel restaurants was amazing! The room we stayed in was beautiful, with a great view of the courtyard. Evening turn down service was an excellent touch!

We went for high tea. An amazing experience! They also offer a vegan option. An amazing variety of teas served to perfection, coffee and champagne. Sandwiches, scones (to die for) and cakes. The chef also prepares 3 desserts inspired by works of art displayed at the hotel. Not cheap, 55 euros per person plus 12.50 euros for the first glass of champagne, but it is well worth it!!!! The drawing room is beautiful, service is excellent.

A brilliant evening, and our cocktails were excellently prepared by a lovely and professional man! The staff were very helpful and friendly as always. Always enjoy our visit to one of all time favourite relaxing venues.

Afternoon tea - lovely but the drawing room feels very awkward - you can hear what everyone else says and it's a bit hard to fully enjoy. Had dinner in the garden room and main was lovely (rack of lamb) but starter had no flavour (feta and beetroot salad). Decor in garden room quite dated. Lovely room - large; but a herd of talking elephants upstairs made it difficult to enjoy. This is an old hotel and I totally accept that floors may creak but they need to improve the noise isolation. I live in an old house and it can be done....

Its right in the middle of Dublin and very good quality so you can't really do much better. Staff were lovely, and anything we needed was looked after straight away. Only four stars because considering the price, it wasn't amazing. Probably more of a reflection of Dublin city centre than anything. If you have money to burn and need to stay in Dublin I'm sure you'll enjoy it. If you are looking for a relaxing 5 star hotel with nice grounds and facilities your probably better off somewhere else.

From the first step into the merrion the staff were absolutely amazing . Very attentive. The staff in the restaurant are very attentive and welcoming. We had a great lunch ( bit pricey ) and the dinner was delicious. For a treat it's worth the visit .

Excellent service by highly efficient and friendly staff. Food is top class and portions are decent sizes. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a pleasant evening in picturesque surroundings while still being in a quite central location.

A perfect wedding venue. Fabulous outdoor area for photos, drinks and conversation. Highly impressed with the staff - which is a bonus at this time. They were attentive and efficient. The food was not your usual almost anything will do fare. The home of Wellington made sure the beef was tasty. All this in the beating heart of the city.

Don't forget to use ʜᴏᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking any room. This site will compare thousands of hotel sites and normally will have rates much cheaper compared to others! Thank me later! This resort is the best rated in the area. I've been staying here for a very long time. If you stay for a few nights you won't regret it. Incredible hotel!! The service is amazing, food is fantastic and the ambiance is incredible. Every single staff member went out of their way to help us during our stay whenever we needed anything. Food was delicious - both for room service and in the Garden room!

The positives; - lovely friendly staff, great customer service. - a nice pool/gym/sauna open to all guests. - Fluffy bath robes, slippers and complimentary chocolates and mineral water for guests in the room. The negatives; - Old fashioned/traditional which some people will see as a positive but not me. - the movies on the TV don't work nor do some basic channels like Sky news (photo attached). - a bidet in the bathroom....yuk, what is that all about? - my room (290) had what appeared to be barely cleaned sick on the floor near the left window....I found out as I stepped in it and then I could smell it (photo attached). - room service food not the best quality. - for the incredible cost (ÂŁ500 per night), I would sooner stay in the new Premier Inn which is where I stayed one night for just ÂŁ150. Nothing justifies the cost unless a pool and gym is crucial for you.

Really enjoyed our stay here. Staff were amazing from the moment we walked up to the front steps. Really enjoyed our room - big dressing gowns waiting for us and a huge cosy bed. Afternoon tea was a lovely experience too. Will have to come back to try the spa!

Nothing short of a sublime experience staying here. Staff was incredible and we were so beautifully taken care of. We had a snafu in our scheduling, and they were so considerate and worked with us to find a solution quickly and seamlessly. Caroline was the most helpful, professional and kind concierge. I’d give them 10 stars if I could. We’d stay here again in a heartbeat!

On our honeymoon we stayed in “5 star hotels” across Ireland for two weeks… none of them compared to the Merrion. The standout : Service. The staff is quick, friendly, and well trained. Out of all the places this is the one we will be talking about. It’s not a 5 star, it’s a 6 star hotel.

What an experience this was.. amazing surroundings, the artwork itself was just fabulous and to be able to relax and have a champagne tea, it was so special. The choice of teas, coffees were fabulous and the treat was the desserts which were works of art.

We chose to start a celebration trip to Ireland at The Merrion, having loved it when we visited Dublin a few years ago. And so glad we did! Gracious surroundings & everything delivered perfectly by the friendly staff. Yet again, I wish we could have stayed longer at this lovely hotel.

I dined in the Garden room with a family member who was graduating. I cannot thank you enough for how special you made her feel. The staff were so attentive and helpful. Making such a fuss over her. An absolute amazing dining experience. Thank you so much for making a special day even better xxx

Well appointed and comfortable rooms with much attention to presentation and details. The staff really make this hotel and elevate the experience. Loved their efficiency, superb service and attitude toward making my stay totally enjoyable. Definitely recommend Merrion Hotel. A special shout out to Alessia at the front desk. She was a joy to encounter.

This hotel was both a beautiful experience and stay. We loved every moment from the Christmas touches, to Santa and the Carolers. The service was above and beyond. We ate in the main dining room both nights and were able to grab a pint down in the cellar on Christmas Eve. The coffee each morning was superb and the rooms were delicately cleaned each day. Highlights were the Christmas tree in the lobby, the drawing room, the service and the rooms upstairs. The 3 and 5 course meals were phenomenal. Would come back any time!

The Merrion ruined me for all other hotels. Travelled with an infant, and not only did they stock the room with baby soaps and lotions, they did turn-down service on the crib each night (!). The art collection and breakfasts is/were incredible as well. Great pool and location.
