People at the hotel were nice, rooms were a but old and in mine the TV did not work. Bathroom amenities as scarce, limited to a big bottle of shampoo/body wash. Breakfast was OK, nothing special. I think the hotel could improve many things and then standout

We attended the Tourism Ireland Marketing Plans Launch 2024 - good location, on busy bus routes with busses every few minutes from right outside. Conference rooms and restaurant were spot on. Everything ran smoothly & staff were helpful and friendly, especially in the restaurant. Food for the conference was buffet style & was really tasty.

Nice hotel. The facade is fancy, but the view from the rooms looked more or less like a ghetto of some sort. The interior of the rooms was quite good. If you're a tall guy, you might have problems with the shower, as the shower head is not adjustable and is probably made for people under 182 cm (I'm 192 cm) Breakfast was quite basic and boring for the price (18 euros pr. day). Would have breakfast elsewhere Good cleaning and customer service from staff-members. The Bar staff was good, some better than others but good. Overall good experience.

This is the best hotel we ever stayed in Ireland. Check-in was exceptional. Very helpful and friendly staffs They are generous with everything, they never say no. Rooms were exceptionally clean, spacious and comfortable with everything you need- A beautiful stand with mirror, fast WiFi, good gym, hairdryer ,bus stop just outside the hotel. Children were so happy and enjoyed their stay there. Fancy hotel and luxurious feeling despite moderate price. What stood out for me was that, there were all kinds of guests from different backgrounds, race and culture. Everyone feels welcome and comfortable, which is great to see. I will highly recommend this hotel and i will stay here always in future.

I arrived and they couldn't find my original reservation. Turns out when I made a second reservation on their website to add one more day to my stay, it had changed my whole reservation to just that one day. It took a bit of time but they were able to fix it manually and also honor the rate I had showing in my original first booking confirmation email. Appreciate the help of the staff a lot. They were all very nice and tried their best to help and were very clear in their communication. Also, I love the big gym with nice equipment. I would highly recommend staying here.

I had a good stay at the Clayton Hotel Burlington Road. The room was clean and comfortable. I used the fitness center and all the equipment was in good working condition and had a good selection of bikes, ellipticals and treadmills. It had free weights and weight machines. Overall, it was well stocked and it good condition. The breakfast buffet was very good and the lunch selections for our conference was very good. The bar had a good selection of beer, wine and other spirits. I only wished the food menu had a few more choices. Overall I enjoyed my stay and would recommend this hotel as a great place to stay from which to tour Dublin.

My partner and I attended a weekend two day conference. The reception staff were really welcoming as was the resturaunt manager who made us feel like well known, respected regulars. The entire hotel was spotlessly clean and our rooms were really comfortable. I have to compliment the charm and efficiency of the manager and staff in the B bar who were very helpful and patient with our request to change tables. This hotel runs like a well oiled machine and the staff appear to be very happy in their employment. Whenever staying in Dublin the Clayton will be my first choice.

Really overpriced. Really rude night staff. We paid 170 euro room only after my discount. I dropped my makeup bag and got down to pick up my things and under the bed was filthy - dustbunnies for years! I found a receipt for a local shop from 2021 under the bed! We arrived back to the hotel after our night out and night staff by the name of Ultan was really rude to us and wouldn't let us sit in the main lounge area. I sat down with sore feet and went on to just eat to order a pizza and he kept telling us to go to our room - getting louder at us each time. I purposely didn't move until I had finished my food order because of just how badly he treated us. Maybe he thought he could talk down to us because of the way I look? Either way, I paid too much to be treated so badly.

Lovely place! The room was cozy, the bed was comfy and the air conditioning worked well. The shower, on the other hand, did not work that flawlessly. If one wants to have the room cleaned, one needs to inform the reception in advance. The location is great - the city center can be easily reached by public transportation. There is a bus stop right in front of the hotel. We checked in after midnight without any troubles. Overall, we were happy with our stay and are happy to recommend this hotel.

A busy hotel with paid parking in a good location. Rooms are not that fancy but are functional. A dog barking kept me awake half the night here but it was a once off I hope. Good service and good staff and a quick taxi ride into the city centre from here so it's a good place to locate yourself. There's a spar 5 mins walk away and the floors are serviced by a lift but expect a bit of a trek when getting to your room. Rooms are not soundproofed so you will hear whatever is going on in the other rooms and hallways.

Enjoyed a lovely break in Dublin at the end of June. The room was your basic Clayton Hotel room which was sufficient for our needs. Where the hotel really came into its own was with the staff especially at breakfast. I've never came across staff as friendly or as helpful as Saul, Paul and the team. They really made our stay a five star experience. And the full Irish breakfast was excellent. Kept us full for the day. Hope to see you again soon.

What an incredible hotel! The PEOPLE make this place. I had such a beautiful experience in the lobby cafe bar with Gessica & Paul who both clearly loved their job. So happy, vibrant, welcoming. All the good things that make you feel great! I applaud them as professionals and as super down to earth, humble humans. If you ever stay in the hotel, be sure to say hi to them.

Overall a nice clean hotel with a friendly staff. The breakfast was superb, one of the best we've had. However we didn't sleep well as the pillows were very uncomfortable. Another negative was the bathroom didn't have any ventilation. There was a small fan that didn't turn on with the light, but did come on sporadically for a few minutes at a time when we weren't in the bathroom! We enjoyed our stay overall, but these factors did dampen the experience. I'd recommend the hotel for a short stay, solely on the quality of the breakfast.

Very Pleasant experience, friendly and accommodating staff, very clean and quiet room - the bed was very comfortable. We also found the lobby to be inviting and comfortable and the gym well equipped. The neighborhood was very nice and so convenient! Two suggestions would be to update their furniture in the bar as well as the hotel rooms (replace the outdated fabric chair and add an extra sitting chair for the round table). Also invest in quality bathroom tp and provide the added touch of toiletries. Thank you for an enjoyable stay!

The room was very comfortable; staff very friendly and helpful. Very good breakfast. We like the location as it is not far from the centre and also near family.

We had a very enjoyable stay at the Clayton Hotel Burlington road. Excellent accommodation, friendly staff, comfortable and clean. Great location, private parking. Food was top class. Definitely recommend this hotel. We will most definitely be back. Thanks everyone for making our visit a great experience.

We stayed at the hotel as a couple celebrating a special occasion and the staff made it exceptionally special for us. In particular the lady who checked us in, unfortunately we didn't catch her name but she went above and beyond. The hotel is beautiful, and everything is done to a very high standard. Breakfast was amazing. We will definitely be back if we visit Dublin again, especially since we didn't have time to have a drink at the bar which has such a lovely atmosphere.

The hotel is brilliant, staff really friendly, the room is neat, quiet and very dark at night. We loved the bathtub and bar, lobby... Very organized and fancy place. The food wasn't the best, unfortunately too pricey for very bad quality. But we had great service, so we're very happy overall.

Overall OK. It's OK for a short business trip but not somewhere I'd recommend compared to other hotels nearby that I've stayed in. Pros Good location for corporate offices nearby Breakfast was your standard selection, but was above average compared to other hotel breakfasts I've had - well cooked and nice produce. Cons The rooms are dated and in my case a bit grubby and well worn in places. Old fashioned bath shower combos, non-working air con, hairs in the bath/shower, dirty grout, dirty shelving in the shower. Really feels like the bathrooms need an update. Rooms are not well soundproofed.

Really liked it here. Good quality rooms and showers, lovely breakfast room with large breakfast selection. Lots of space in the breakfast area means you can move around without bumping into people. Impressive lobby area. Bar a bit dark and dominated by sport though.

Our room was well furnished and comfy. There weren't that many extras in the bathroom, e.g. no shower caps provided, so luckily we had brought our own. An illuminated mirror in the room would have helped as the lighting wasn't great for applying make up. We needed some help with the safe on arrival as the batteries needed replacing. Help came very quickly so many thanks to the reception and maintenance staff. The hairdryer was well hidden but thanks to a call to reception it was located in a bag hanging (with the writing to identify it facing the wrong way around) off the ironing board in the wardrobe. We had drinks a couple of times in the bar near reception. It isn't that inspiring a space so we wouldn't be rushing back for that. Breakfast - overall it was quite good. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The choice was excellent. However, the sausages were of a very poor quality for a 4 star hotel. We had much better a few weeks earlier in a UK Premier Inn. On check out day, we couldn't get back into our room after breakfast. Luckily, we had our Clayton room card holder with us so we were able to prove to a cleaner nearby which room was ours and she was able to give us access to our room so we could finish packing. We would have been really annoyed if we had to go back down to reception to reactivate one of the room cards. Upon checking with reception on check out, we were told that there had been an issue with the timing of the automatic dis-activation of those cards for rooms which were due to be checked out of that day. Overall, we had a great stay, despite a few niggles and would return again.

Our overall experience at the hotel was outstanding. The degree of training and commitment to excellence in the various teams that helped us including reception, cleaning, and breakfast was evident. It isn't often that a business actually exceeds our high expectations as clients, but Clayton did just that. Thank you so much for a wonderful experience. We have already told family and friends about the hotel and will most certainly be back. Thank you to all your team, Clayton Hotel Burlington Road!

Very comfortable stay at this hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and the food was very good too. Check in/out was fast and without any problem. I would recommend this hotel and happily stay again. .....also the room rate was great value for Dublin.

Very pleasant stay! The hotel was clean and comfortable, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We especially appreciate that we were able to change our dates when a storm forced a last-minute cancellation of our original reservation.

Excellent accommodations, decent parking, competent and helpful staff, and fantastic breakfast. Not only was the stay first-rate, Vincent and Christina went above and beyond to help save the day when I realized I'd arrived without a vital power cord needed for the business event I was attending. Superlative hotel that's conveniently located and has everything a traveler needs.

Lovely hotel in a great location. Dropped one star for the room as the seal on the glass door over the bath was not sealed correctly, and when you showered a lot of water went onto the ensuite floor. Also, we were at a function in the hotel on the Friday night and ordered a bottle of wine for our table. I had to ask four different people before we got the wine.

Convenient location, value for money breakfast, if not particularly high quality. Car park fee was a bit excessive. Room clean but carpet worn through outside bathroom and before sheet that was fitted had a rip in it ! Bath room hand soap and shower gel in identical containers and placed in the wrong place ! Hand soap in shower and shampoo by hand basin.

A charmless hotel with robotic staff. Stay here and pay through the nose for a burger via the online payment system, then find the nebulous "collection point" that you have to ask reception for the location of, find out your food has been left in the bar and then enjoy it lukewarm knowing that you waited 15 extra mins for it in the lobby in your socks

Fantastic stay. Went on Saturday night. The staff were out of this world. Even went to the chef to see if a gluten free dessert was available, which it was off the menu fantastic chocolate cake. The cocktails were excellent and everywhere was so clean and tidy. But the staff really made this stay brilliant

We spent 2 Nights B & B here in July. The Hotel was very Comfortable, Staff were excellent and helpful, they went above and beyond. We dined in on both Nights. The Food was awesome, we had the Hake and Chicken on alternate Nights. Breakfast was of a high Standard especially the Scrambled Eggs and Bacon. My only issue was that the Menu stated, that the Vitality Breakfast included a Choice of, Irish and Continental Cheeses? I asked the Server on both Mornings for the Cheese Option and was told that Cheese was not on the Menu! This was disappointing, as I’m a huge Lover of Cheese at Breakfast. Other than this Issue, all was of a very high Standard. The Hotel is in a Great Location to explore all that Dublin has to offer. Will definitely Return and Recommend to Family & Friends.

I stayed here recently with my mother and I cannot speak more highly of the staff and service! A beautiful friendly Dublin lady called Catherine served us our breakfast and she made our stay more special! I'd like to say big thank you to her β™₯️ The hotel is ideally situated as it's in a quiet location but walking distance to Dublin city center. Rooms are comfortable and clean and beds are very cosy πŸ™‚ I'll definitely recommend this hotel to anyone planning a trip to Dublin.

My son and I stayed for two nights. We couldn't fault the hotel. All the staff were helpful and friendly. The breakfast was lovely. The chef was so nice and friendly who served us. The breakfast staff were very friendly and helpful. Very child friendly. The room was lovely and clean and my son was delighted with the excellent wifi. We would 100% recommend this hotel. And we felt safe at all times. Thank you everybody.

The staff were so kind and helpful. Nothing was too much hassle for them. They were super accommodating. Room was clean and bed sheets appeared to be new. Facilities in the hotel and 10/10. Would gladly recommend to a friend and would 100% stay again!

Pre Christmas Catch-up. Lovely hotel stayed there with my sister for a pre Christmas catch-up. Check in was quick and smooth by the receptionist. We were allocated a nice spacious room which was spotless with comfortable beds. We both had a great nights sleep! We had breakfast in the dining room accompanied by a lovely fire in a magnificent fireplace for the morning atmosphere. The lady that served us the meal was polite, quick and very efficient. You can have the full Irish at the breakfast station if you so wish to choose your own choices / or the continental pastries orange juices or fruits. This is my second visit to Clayton Hotel Burlington and I would really recommend it to family members and relations visiting Dublin for their Christmas shopping. The breakfast alone will set you up for the day for the Christmas Shopping. Thank you Clayton Burlington.

The staff are most friendly and cooperative. The hotel is clean and warm. Location is excellent and parking is in plentiful supply. I was disappointed to see that bottles of water are no longer present in the rooms. I feel Virgin Media 2 should be added to the television channels available in the rooms so that guests may watch Champions League football from the comfort of thelr rooms.

A great place to stay outside of the hustle and bustle of downtown Dublin! Staff was able to accommodate us with an early check in which was a fantastic way to start our trip. The rooms are spacious with comfortable beds but the walls seemed a little thin as our neighbors could be heard β€˜enjoying their stay’…

Eleven of us travelled from England to stay three nights 4th-5th-6th February for the Ireland v Wales rugby international. We had a wonderful time. The rooms were very clean and the service was excellent. If there was one downside it would be the quality of the guinness. We would undoubtedly stay again.

Hotel is convenient to lots of shopping, restaurants, bars. A short taxi ride to Grafton Street--Fun place! Staff was amazing. The employees at reception were efficient and helpful. (They even printed our boarding passes). The staff in the bar area were so friendly. Like everyone everywhere, they were short-staffed, but they maintained a great attitude--sometimes even with less than cordial patrons. The concierge was helpful in helping us maneuver the pre-clearance process to the US. The toilet in our room made a terrible noise when flushed. As the hotel was packed, we didn't request another room. There was air conditioning, which is a big plus. (Ireland was having very warm and sunny weather!). If the price was right, we would stay here again.

Clayton hotel was immaculately clean, friendly and efficient. All the amenities are good. We didn’t pay extra for breakfast so can’t comment on that. My reason for 4 stars rather than 5 is because they advertise as a hotel with parking, which we needed, then 2 days before we arrived they emailed us to inform us that parking is 13 euros per day. I found this sneaky. Otherwise our experience was good. Pretty easy 30 minute walk to central Dublin and many tourist attractions.

I quite enjoyed staying at Clayton Hotel Burlington Road. Here are my comments: 1. It would be good if the breakfast buffet can be varied somewhat over the week. It was quite difficult to be eating the same things for about 8 days this time of my stay. 2. I was informed that the hotel does not fold clothes after being laundered. This option would be much appreciated since I could be on route to other destinations following my stay at the hotel. Other hotels provided such service and I wonder if Clayton Hotel could also do so. 3. Could you let me know if there is any loyalty program with Clayton Hotel chain? I would like to be enrolled into such program and if possible also include my recent stay in May 2022 as patronage of the hotel. Thank you and best regards

Excellent care. Got hit unfortunately by COVID and management kept me "happily quarantined": brought my meals, provided extra towels, amenities, everyday and the manager called to check that I was fine and let me know that I could call any time for my needs. I left with a negative test result - staying in this hotel helped I'm sure. Thank you for your fantastic service.

The meals menu is just bad. Most guests go eat out because of the lack of proper options. And the quality of the food is cheap. Breakfast is satisfactory but repetitive. The bed is not long enough, and the pillows are very uncomfortable. Had cold all nights. The staff is very polite and helpful , that was the positive point. Couldn't connect my laptop to hotel internet due to hotel security protocols. Absurd.

  • 5/5 Charlie Y. 1 year ago on Google
I didn't use any services, so I cannot comment on that. The beds are clean and comfortable. The parking lot is easy to get to as far as driving through Dublin as a new driver. That is why I chose this hotel. It is within walking distance to things. Maybe 2 miles from the Temple bar area. The area around the hotel did feel safe to me. I am a woman and I felt safe walking around at dark here. There is air conditioning, but it is locked so you can't make it cooler. There was one night where I really wanted it cooler, but we couldn't. The water coming from the tub faucet was cloudy and had sediment in it. There is street noise with the window open, but with it closed you cannot hear it at all. I couldn't figure out how to make the wall plug ina states turned on when the lights were turned off, so I couldn't charge my phone by the bed. For the comfort of the beds, safety of the location, and easy parking I do recommend this hotel. I will stay here again.
