This is a very rare find. The garden is beautiful and the food is excellent. Top quality everything and as expected this must be reflected in the price. Relax in luxury and feel like you are in a tropical paradise with excellent service. The store offers an amazing selection of cheeses and fine ingredients and more to elevate your cooking. The owner is as friendly as the staff.

What a lovely place. The owner/host was the type of guy who was put on this earth to entertain and care for people. His food was thoughtful, unique, and delicious. And his restaurant was beautiful - the outside grounds, the inside, everything. He owns a foundation that provides schooling to children in a village away from Antigua and he hires the young adults to work in the restaurant. They were professional, courteous, and skilled. This was a great restaurant.

🇨🇦Absolutely incredible dining experience. Excellent service, farm to table fresh food and a wonderful atmosphere. We happened upon Epicure via a Google Maps search and if you are reading this you should try it out. You will not be disappointed. The owner introduced himself to us and I must say that he was the epitome of humility and he spoke with us throughout the evening explaining the origin of many of the dishes offered as well as a background of the staff and supplies. He explained that much of the food is grown at his farm and brought to the restaurant daily. It seems that many of the proceeds of the restaurant also go back to supporting local causes. A truly wholesome dining experience.

THE BEST FOOD in Antigua! Remember to walk all the way to the back, and enter the garden area tables!

What a great establishment! The food is outstanding each time we visit (3X in a single week), the atmosphere is beautiful, warm, welcoming, & relaxing. We ALWAYS have a great time when we visit & we always leave satiated & in a better mood than when we arrived. The owner is one of the nicest people that I've ever met & I visit his establishment so frequently because it is a great establishment with such great food & great staff. We love this place and I bet that you will, too. We'll be back!

Enjoyed yet another delicious lunch in the garden section of Epicure. The 'lechon de cerdo' with mashed squash has to be one the tastiest dishes available anywhere in La Antigua. If you like crispy pork skin you're going to LOVE the lechon...

The food is FANTASTIC, and so is the ambiance. I bit on the pricy side, but really nice for a date night.

The food was outstanding across the board. Some of the best food I have ever had. The owner was such a nice man and came out to answer questions we had about the food and then regularly checked in on us. I can’t recommend Epicure more!

Amazing brunch spot. Great deli but more expensive than usual for the area. Really lovely garden and colonial historical vibes.

Hidden gem, food is great and prices are fair. Great option for a quick bite or getting away from the noisy city.

I've eaten there three times and had spaghetti and meatballs, fish and a ham sandwich. Can't fault the food or service. Maybe a little pricey.

Absolutely wonderful experience dining here for dinner. The courtyard and building is a lovely setting and the owner and staff made us feel very welcome. One of the best gluten free menus and gluten free pastas we have come across in a long time. All of the produce is fresh and has a real farm to table feel. Would highly recommend stopping by here to anyone visiting Antigua!

We have the best meal of our trip here! John the owner was simply wonderful and also gave recommendations for our visit. The food and service was wonderful, and the garden was enchanting! We had stopped in the storefront a few times to grab a snack during our visit but having dinner there is a totally different experience! Highly recommend! Also was awesome to have so many gluten free options to choose from. Thank you John for hosting us and for your kindness!

With recipes inspired by European cuisine and practicing a farm to table approach to their dishes, Epicure is a great place for a culinary treat in Antigua Guatemala. When it comes to mains the Chicken with butter lime caper sauce and polenta is absolutely divine while the polenta gnocchi are more like polenta bites, but still a fun and interesting companion to one of the meat-based dishes, or just something for the table to nibble on. Make sure you stick for dessert and try some of their dark chocolate and orange truffles.

Recommend by a couple of friends. Had the restaurant to ourselves and weren't disappointed one bit! Every dish was on point. Our waiter, Hector, was terrific!

We like visiting Epicure because the food is great and the setting in the garden is very relaxing, away from the hustle and bustle of the streets of Antigua. We had lunch with friends and ordered the lasagna, risotto and a shrimp pasta. All dishes were excellent and the sangria drinks topped it all off nicely!

Picture this, you wander off a shuttle looking for a bathroom. You wander in Epicure (it's the nicest place around by far, with a delicious bakery in front that initially drew us in). The lady at the front is so nice, you say "Si" and she takes you to the back where there is an OASIS of a restaurant. My brother I sat at the back, under some sort of beautiful palm tree and ate maybe the best pizza I have ever eaten. It had pepperoni, onion, mushrooms, and tomatoes and it was not expected in Antigua and a coke. We got a small soup before the pizza and were treated with a small cocoa chocolate at the end, SO UNEXPECTED. The waitress was perfection. The owner, John, came and spoke with my brother and I and he was such a wonderful man. He spoke with wisdom and integrity and was really a great man to have bless me with his words. Our server was equally as special and I wished I had gotten her name. We stayed and enjoyed ourselves for longer than expected and felt welcomed the whole time. 10/10 would recommend to EVERYONE IN GUATEMALA! Thanks, John Mellen!

Cold, windy, not really good food for your money. But the worst: Toilette only for guests in the restaurant👎

Amazing experience. The owner is such a nice guy and was so helpful in our dining experience from showing us the options and explaining flavors and textures. The dining area is full of greenery and very well maintained. Excellent experience. 10/10. Highly recommend.

This is a very beautiful restaurant with romantic garden seating, twinkle lights and hanging flowers, a 500 year old pool. The food is upscale and unique. You can find authentic Mayan dishes or something more familiar to Americans- like lasagna. The owner is very interesting and friendly and serves an amuse bouche as well as a chocolate truffle on the way out. Don’t miss this place!

We can’t recommend Epicure enough. The owner John is an expat who has been here for about 40 years. It’s a farm to table restaurant based on his community farm. He has a foundation that builds schools and the farm and restaurant provide vocational skills / training. John also happens to be an inventor and is created cool agricultural products and he’s a gluten free savant. His gluten free pizza is the best I have had. About half the menu is gluten free. He said he experimented on the pizza crust for over a month. The food was awesome. The staff were sweet and attentive. If the wether is nice the garden tables out back are beautiful. Great atmosphere and the owner is an amazing human.

I went there for dinner & their waiter was unfriendly and gave me zero service. He made me wait forever before he came over at all, he never checked up on me throughout the entire meal and I had to go find him for the bill. Thank goodness for the bartender who brought me salt, ranch, a drink refill … I tipped her the extra I would normally tip my server. The gluten free pizza was amazing the first time I visited and the second time, not as great - the sausage looked a little undercooked. It’s an expensive restaurant and their service and food quality should be consistent and top notch for the price.

One of the best gluten free pastas I have ever had. They also had an amazing gluten free mocha cake, chocolate truffles. Owner was extremely nice and knowledgeable. I will be back.

Nice looking menu but the food disappointed, quality is not reflected in the price. Ham in the sandwich was not ham but more like a luncheon meat. Fantastic setting, have had much better food at more reasonable prices in Antigua

Portions served are adécuate, good taste , nice environment. I wish they knew how to make flipped starry eggs, but overall great time.

We had a wonderful lunch at Epicure. The staff was incredible and the food was delicious. The menu was well marked for gluten free needs. The gluten free bread was fantastic! And it was great for kids. They have a changing station in the bathroom which is hard to find in Antigua! We will definitely be back!

AMAZING! Got a gluten free sandwich and could not believe how amazing the bread was. I even double checked with the waiter it was GF because of how good it was. I’ve never had bread like that in my life all over the world. The fries were also some of the best I’ve ever had! Much more expensive than other restaurants but worth every penny. I will definitely be going back while I am here!

Absolutely gorgeous place, wonderful food and service. Note they have a piano and welcome customers to play! Vicky is an absolute legend, as is the owner Jon. Garden out the back is unreal too.

Wonderful garden atmosphere! I had the Lasagna, and it was spectacular. The tables are spaced in the outdoor patio garden with lots of privacy. Birds were happy and chirping. What a lovely oasis.

My sandwich was REALLY GREASY. Normal sandwich bread for a specialty plate? Nope. Beverages PRICE WAS VERY HIGH and it was just HALF CAN of Coca-Cola... Food was also PRICEY (compared to better options) and not good enough to account for the money

Went there to stock up some food for the next day’s day trip to Lake Atitlan, found all I needed and more. They have all the familiar stuff one is used to have for picnic, and more local food.

It is tooo expensive! Fish and chips $20 for 2 small pieces of fish and a small amount of chips...come on...the taste was nice, the service is good and place is casual and relax. But what you get for what you pay is not right. Good luck.

Absolutely wonderful experience here! The food, the abience, the people Someone recommended we have lunch there and it was so delightful! We were a diverse group of eaters (children, adults, dietary restrictions) and everyone was able to find something delicious to order. The meals were so good! We sat in the beautiful enclosed courtyard area which truly highlights the natural beauty of Antigua. We were celebrating my birthday and my hubby selected a perfect cake from the bakery. Not only was it picture perfect, it was a heavenly light memorable coconut cake. If i could, I would have it for every brithday! We only had one more day in Antigua after our first visit but we managed to stop in for coffee, pastries, and sandwiches to go! I would have loved knowing of it sooner in our stay I found the pricing to be great for the quality of food and service. In house made pasta, beautiful pastries, lovely bar and terrace, deli and cheese selection...I wouldn't expect to pay fast food prices for the curated choices offered at Epicure.

A wonderful dining experience especially for those needing gluten free options. Nothing was too much trouble. The owner is very sociable too. A very enjoyable evening. Thank you

👍👍 A must-see and do in Guatemala. This is not only a restaurant but also a museum and garden. The food is phenomenal. The views from all angles of this large location are amazing. If there is a long wait to eat, don't worry. It takes about an hour to walk the property and enjoy what it has to offer.

👍👍 We love Luna de Miel and have come here three times on three separate visits to Antigua- we live in the capital. My husband has ordered the Chipotle twice, and the Tejana.
