Restaurant service is very bad and slow. The restaurant staff have a bad attitude. I have to wait 1 hour to eat my breakfast. Would suggest to change the breakfast to a buffet. However, the room, cleaning service, & reception staff are great! To add, the hotel is not kids friendly at all although we were charged an extra fee per day for our toddler we weren’t offered a crib or high chair at breakfast.

Acaban de inaugurar este Hotel con unas habitaciones acordes a los intereses de cada uno... hay varios tipos de apartamentos pero a cual mejores vistas. Bueno si, el que más me ha gustado es el Ático que te deja sin habla con solo entrar... unas vistas increíbles. Pero para pasar una corta o larga temporada cualquiera de las habitaciones están geniales. Cocina, baño, dormitorio, salón, terraza...

The hotel was good and the rooms were spacious and clean. However, the service at their restaurant was really bad. Terrible service and terrible attitudes. The staff at the reception were really good and helpful, which is why we feel the need to point this out to help better the hotel experience because it truly has great potential.

My husband and I had the extreme pleasure of staying at The Flag for three nights (without kids) in October 2023. Also, please note that prior to writing a review, I try to read past feedback to update with the latest info. The staff: We found everyone to be extremely friendly, helpful, and polite. We had a very late or early check-in, and in spite of the 3am arrival, we were greeted kindly, the receptionist even accompanied us to the elevator. The same goes for breakfast, where the atmosphere was cheerful, and believe me, the open kitchen allows for guests to really meet everyone, even the cooks. The lifeguard, and the guy doing the water chemical checks for the pool, the cleaning staff, everyone was really nice. So either the management has switched things around a bit or other reviews were not accurate. The building: Stunning, with an EXCELLENT quality-price ratio. 3 nights 550€ (breakfast included) for a 4-should-be-a-5 star hotel is something we would do again, and again. We work in the building industry, so we are especially sensitive to architecture, execution, vendor details, all of it! We loved The Flag. The attention to detail was fabulous, the heated pool: gorgeous, the woodwork in the lobby, the minimalist resort feel, the very large and well equipped rooms, with everything you’d need for a longer stay: glasses and cutlery, strainer and bowls. A fridge that’s big enough, and my absolute favourite, a blowdryer with a diffusor for those of us with curly hair. I liked the pillows and the terrace seating, and another great, relevant detail, the nice water pitcher in the room with a discreet note mentioning the Brita water fountains available on almost every floor. Yes, no more wasteful, plastic bottles, just unlimited, good, cold, drinking water. The beach is a 4 minute walk away. The view is very nice and green from the huge terrace. We couldn’t see the sea, but honestly, we didn’t mind the garden view, on the contrary. Not sure if there are seaviews, so do check. The food: We opted for the breakfast-included rate, and are really glad we did. Lots of options are available: vegetarian, fruit muesli yoghurt types, then of course, eggs: boiled, poached, fried, in all their full glory, whatever you may desire…but I personally loved the avocado toast! Oh and the cheese platter too. If you decide to, you can have the pancakes with a cute little strawberry pile. It is a served breakfast, not a buffet, which I find to be a better match with my values for less waste. The location: We came for a fancy wedding (just up the hill), and it was our first time to the Marbella region. The Flag is very easily accessed from the main road connecting the resort towns. There’s a large Il Corte Ingles nearby in Marbella, seaside restaurants, the shoreline is a 4min stroll away, for running and dog walking. Lots of golfing. About 45-60min to Malaga Airport. Easy, on -the-street, parking too.

Nice new hotel. The rooms are large and have a kitchenette with microwave and oven. Here you can fend for yourself or enjoy the restaurant. Recommend the breakfast! Ideal location we made day trips to Gibraltar and Marbella. We’ll be back 😀

Maravilloso, de las pocas veces que se puede decir que estrenas hotel, todo impecablemente limpio, la piscina se nota de buena temperatura, camas cómodas. Como sugerencia cambien los números de los botones del ascensor, ya que la planta 5 tiene las habitaciones 6xx y la planta 2 las habitaciones 3xx.

Very beautiful Hotel, pretty new. The rooms are stunning, they‘re cleaning everyday. The pool area is something else, i loved it. Especially the sunbeds are so comfortable, there is always a poolboy around who switches your dirty towels or puts up umbrellas. The service in the Restaurant on the other hand just didn‘t fit to the rest of the hotel. They were very slow at times, some didn‘t understand english so the communcation was harder. The rest of the staff in the hotel were always motivated, had a smile on their face and helped you out. But don‘t get me wrong the food is amazing, I‘ve been to many good restaurants in the area in the time of my stay, but the food in the Hotel was the best I‘ve had eaten all trip. Would I come again? Definitely! Recommendation especially for young couples!

Absolutely fabulous hotel! Very spacious, modern and clean. Obviously being new there are still a few minor things to work out but overall excellent hotel.

Slick hotel and new so perhaps some teething problems but over 1 hr for a burger and no fries. Clear window into the bathroom - hope you're not on your first holiday together....

The rooms were clean and huge size with terrace ,very comfortable, and the staff was amazing. They went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Marbella 🔥🔥

Magnificent hotel , beautiful room/apartment, beautifully appointed , well equipped and cleaned daily Reception staff excellent. One of the best hotel experiance ever. Beautiful interior, spacious room, amazing food and sweet people working for the hotel. You can really relax there! It has cute path to the seaside, really close distance. We will come back there definitely!

Neues Hotel an der Costa del Sol. Alle Mitarbeiter waren super freundlich und aufmerksam. Man fühlte sich herzlich Willkommen. Das Hotel hat geräumige Appartement, welche sehr gut ausgestattet sind. Es gibt die Möglichkeit das Frühstück im Restaurant dazu zu buchen. Das Frühstück kann ich nur empfehlen. Auswahl und Qualität waren sehr gut. Das Hotel verfügt über einen großen Pool. Auf den sehr bequemen Liegen konnten wir unsere Zeit im The Flag genießen. Außerdem bietet das Hotel noch einen Wellnessbereich mit Sauna Dampfbad und Fitnessraum.
