Location of this hotel is great. Service is sub zero. Our room didn’t get cleaned for 5 nights that we stayed with them. Buffet breakfast is very disappointing. I forgot a dress in the cupboard and I went back to get it, they never found it and response was deal with it it was only a dress, nothing valuable. My dress was a $300 silk dress. They just stole it and lied to me about it.

Very good location but poor service. Walk distance to all the old town scene sites. The family suite we lived in was very old fashioned. It seems that the whole hotel has only one cord vacuum machine. We had to talk to the customer relationship the next morning during breakfast about the uncleaned carpet the second day. Much to our disappointment, when we came back to the room late afternoon the carpet was still very dirty, the same as we left in the morning. The room service just did the beds and changed the towels and maybe emptied the dust bin. I cannot see any other changes. The breakfast was ok except that we found all the yogurt pots were expired! The staff made a very nice arrangement(exhibition) of all the food but nobody checked if the food was fresh or not. The swimming pool attracts us on the website is actually a shock pool( no heated water). We had been looking forward to having a relax there but during our 4 days stay the pool was kept closed due to repairing! How strange it was a 5-star hotel! Who gave the stars??? I think they need pay more attention to improving the customer experience more than enhancing the public relationship with the government.

We have been in the hotel for the past 2 of the 4 days. Wish we could give a better rating. Unfortunately, way too many less than acceptable issues that are NOT rectified even after multiple mentions/requests. Check-in was ok. Went fairly smoothly. Once we got to our room, the room was pretty basic, but quite run down. The decor is dated for anyone looking for something more updated... definitely look elsewhere. There were just 2 outlets available for use, one of which, we had to unplug a lamp to make available for our use. The bathroom is retrofitted so, the tubs are insanely high to step into if you are vertically called like I am. Getting out after is another feat. The floor no matter how careful can get super wet so be careful. The best part of the the bathroom is that the water pressure is divine which is hard to come by. The rooms do get quite toasty and the temperature cannot be regulated by the rooms thermostat. But the fact that a window can be opened is a godsend... however as you are in the heart of the city and being that the location is prime... it is quite noisy. Though they boast a website it does not seem like it is monitored . So the first night we arrived (extremely exhausted) we decided to order room service on line and wound up falling asleep while we waited on a meal that never arrived. We woke up from hunger pangs and called room service only to be told that we need to place the order via phone that the online system was not really running. We make particular mention of this because while we were at breakfast the next morning, we were approached by a lady asking how our stay was and when we informed her, her response was perhaps no one was monitoring the system. So back to the first night of our stay. Their on line system states that we should have robes, which were not in the room and when we called to inquire about them, who ever answered the phone didn't understand and wound up hanging up on us. So, we went off to sleep and that brings us to the the following morning of such mediocre quality of breakfast!!! We had prepaid for breakfast and quite honest after us giving it a second chance for this morning, we are DEFINITELY NOT going to have a 3rd failure. The food is cold, bland, and hard when it should be soft. Like for example, the pancakes, we like hockey pucks instead of light and fluffy. The eggs were cold and bland. The baked goods were lovely to look at. To say we were disappointed would be beyond an understatement. So far, the Turkish Hammam was definitely a treat. Definitely worth a try for sure! We indulged and got a package and had a relaxing time. Room service food was an eh. It was nothing to rave home to anyone about. We ordered a few soups. They arrived cold. We had a ceasar salad, where there was more water from the lettuce than any dressing than we could detect. We also ordered a steak entree and that was cold as well. The dessert was a cheecake which is a MUST try. Let's see. We have 2 days left of our stay. Will post if any changes. Otherwise, we stand by the review.

We just got married, and we were very happy to organise our honeymoon, so we decided to spend 2 nights in Istanbul. We made the reservation at this hotel, which has stolen our money, we have asked for information about it, to know why we could not stay, etc... We have been in contact with them, by phone, email, nobody answers us to get a refund... It's a great lack of professionalism, they don't deserve to treat tourists like this, we want our money back!

Terrible hotel terrible service, I booked here for two nights last year.. 500 euros upfront for two nights in a suite for our honeymoon. Because of COVID couldn’t get there. Now we’re finally married they’re refusing to honour our booking. 2 weeks of writing to them and they never reply, I call and they don’t answer Pick a different hotel We went there directly to complain.. they just told us once again to send an email.. this hotel is the worst I’ve never stayed at… book at your own risk.. if you have to cancel for any reason they will steal your money Less than 1 star

This is not a 5 star hotel I'm used to. I would think it was more of a 3 star. It is in serious need of updating in the rooms. The furniture, the carpet, the outlets, just everything needs a good updating. the location is in a fabulous area. Walking distance to the train, ferry, bosphorus river, and the bridge that spans it. The service people in the restaurant, the reception area were very nice and their service was always always spectacular. They were the best thing about the hotel.

I stayed at LEGACY OTTOMAN HOTEL in 2023, in September for 6 nights. At first the stuff welcomed me, the told me that my hotel room wasn't paid. I had to show conformation that payment was charged a month ago on my credit card. they still insisted. for me to pay again- I refused... then they called somewhere and everything was OK. The room was spacious-actually it was suit, but old blow dryer for hair and no pen to write notes. only 2 pieces of paper... they put only one toilet paper roll in the bathroom, we had to call to get another one. The first night we had 2 bath robes for three guests, the rest nights-we stayed 6 nights, they put only 1, and sometimes 2 waters complimentary instead of 3. The location is great, but streets are very narrow, and too many cars, leaving no space for walking. I bought breakfast for us, none of those 6 mornings nobody came to our table and offered tea or coffee, although there were at least 5 people in the eating area. being in 5 stars hotel that was disappointing. I had to catch a personal walking in the dining area and request tea. They differently need to put new dryers in the rooms and improve breakfast serving service. The food was pretty good, I had everything I needed.

My stay was not bad and was just average. Most of the staff are good besides the guest relations lady. She is rude and i dont see how she got the guest relations job when she is actually bad at keeping good relations. We tried getting a taxi so we could move to another place and she tells us it is not the hotels job to do that when in general we were just asking for help to get a big taxi. Also the policy of not bring outside food is kind off selfish, not always would you want to eat from the restaurant and sometimes when you eat out and have takeaway you will just have to give it away. Also the rooms are small. The only good thing out of this hotel was the location which i find the best. Otherwise its just okay.

The stars are for the location. The 0 stars are for: 1. Furniture quality was below acceptable to be in a 5 stars hotel! 2. Very thin walls you can hear the other rooms bathrooms. 3. They are either under staffed or their staff is not well trained. They’d ignore your requests and no one answers you. 4. Again, what made my experience better is the location.

Stayed here about a month ago. The hotel is beautiful and the area is perfect close to everything. But the rooms on the side of the corridor of the hotel were so hot, I was sweating in my sleep I've never experienced something like that before. We complained about the problem, but apparently there was nothing that they could about it, because that is how the heating system works according to the staff. We got offered an other room on the street side, and that was way better. That's the reason for the 3 stars and not 5!

Great place with decent enough rooms. The location is absolutely amazing and easily walkable. The only problem: our room faces the inner courtyard/reception so we could hear everything all night long. Not great for sleeping

I'll start with the good. The location is great. The lobby is gorgeous. The staff is friendly and professional. The breakfast buffet is expansive and offers great selection. Now what I didn't like! The rooms are outdated and the bathroom door location is the most awkward I have ever seen! You can't get to the sink without exercising some tricky body movements.

Stay elsewhere! Pro's: excellent location (but very busy and noisy area). Nice steam room and sauna. Con's: rooms are too hot! They can't turn down the heating so you have to open the window - then it's so noisy you can't sleep even with earplugs. Service is very poor - they said they would send us a fan for our room, they didn't. Cleaning was of a poor standard. We paid for breakfast but didn't eat it as it was terrible! They didn't check which room we were in so it's not worth paying for breakfast at all. Much nicer places to eat nearby.

Staffs were very friendly and warm, especially Seema and Nadeem. They both are friendly and treated us nicely...superb guest service! Great location, the room is ok, just need some upgrades or replace the carpet. Breakfast was awesome, lots of choices and tasty food.

Excellent hotel and all local shops around you !!! Very good location and don't forget to book a couple massage with your partner in the hotel's spa. They have professional therapists who give you strong massage and relaxing hamam. Last but not least , I tried haircut and blow dry inside the hotel which was amazing!!

Breakfast was good but missed their egg making. Overall this place is amazing, and is recommended.

One of the important conditions for the completion of your happiness on your trip is the hotel in which you live. It must fulfill all the conditions that make you feel that it is your second home. You hope for excellent service from the staff, cleanliness, comfort and calmness, especially in a 5-star hotel. Unfortunately, my experience was unsuccessful in this. The hotel is not recommended to book there

+Good location +Nice staff -Very uncomfortable beds. -Broken door to the hallway so we could hear everything at all time. - This hotel has zero isolation, have stopped counting how many times we have been woken up by noise. You can hear every word from the neighbouring rooms and when someone takes a shower upstairs it sounds like a waterfall hits the room. -The breakfast was disappointing The hotel might look like 5 stars from the outside and the lobby, but its definitely not. Thankfully its only two nights left. Really just want to leave this place and forget how much it ruined our trip to Istanbul.

5 stars hotel located at the eminonu district, perfect location 1 minute walk from almost everything you need: Tram station Ferry Bus station Egyptian market And many many more. Great staff, shiny clean Spacious rooms. Disliked the lighting at the room and hallways, also it can be a bit noisy as you could hear people talking at the next room or at the lobby.

For the location I would give a 5! The location is super central and a very safe, lively and happening area. You’re super close to transit and at a walking distance to a lot of the touristy places. The staff however is just horrible, from the reception staff in the evenings to the cleaning staff, we had multiple issues during our stay. I called the front desk for a plug around midnight since they are not installed in any of the rooms (please carry your own if you plan to stay here) At first, the lady who answered suggested that we can get one at the store across. When I insisted they provide me one because I need to charge my phone, she started being extremely rude. She then went on to tell me to look at the time I’m calling at. Then I was told to come and get it myself since she was short on staff. When I asked to speak to the manager on duty. I was refused and she did not answer my phone the next time I called. I tried to complain about this incident the next day. The manager in the morning at first refused to even speak to me because he was too busy to. The complaint was not taken seriously. The cleaning staff enter the room without knocking so make sure to put a do not disturb sign on. This happened multiple times. So there is absolutely no concept of knocking. They just slam the door open. When we were checking out, we had asked for a late check out at 2 and the manager had given us a go ahead. However, the cleaning staff started knocking on our door every ten minutes starting at 1, telling us they needed to clean the room so we need to leave. Next thing you know the bell boy was knocking asking us to leave around 1:15. I called the front desk to let us pack since we had requested for the time. This continued until we were quite literally kicked out inspite of asking for a late check out to which the hotel manager had agreed.

Very nice hotel, beautifully restored. Superb location, just a short walk from lots of Istanbul's amazing sights. Slightly let down by the basic breakfast and the fact I had to resubmit my passport for scanning when staying only a few days after previously checking out. Otherwise no complaints and would stay again!

The third time I am in this hotel, unfortunately this time the service was not as good as ever… The representatives barely speak English and took a long time to get the things I asked for… Next time I will definitely consider my stay at the hotel .. The room was as big as I asked and comfortable .. Drawers for things like clothes .. there are only closets .. but reasonable

I would definitely resist if I got the chance. Kind reception, perfectly located within the city centre. The only limitation is their drinks prices. 70 lira for a cup of coffee is overpriced. Other than that it is perfect.

Generally speaking, the staff lied throughout the time we were there. Upon arrival we were shown to a room which was so small it was almost claustrophobic. When we ask for an alternative room he said there weren't any, we then checked online and found that they had lots of availability. For which the receptionist didn't know how to respond to so he ended up changing our room. During the whole time he was mumbling to his self in annoyance which in my opinion was really unprofessional. Upon entering the room there was a strong smell of cigarettes and sewage smell in the bathroom from plugholes but we were so tired we just wanted to sleep so remained in this room - the smells were later resolved by the hotel when we mentioned them to reception The service in general was really poor and we had to call on multiple occasions and repeat our requests to get an outcome (for example an Iron) . The toiletries were not replenished on a daily and we would have to call several times and wait up to an hour before we received anything. The worst part of the stay was the check out. Which took over an hour becuase they had to go check the minibar. When they called us over they told us that we owe 200 turkish lira for the minibar (which we didn't even use). So I told them to make sure that they hadn't confused us with another room. They then came back saying actually we owed more (550 turkish Lira). We had to argue for about 10 minutes before 'they did us a favour' and cancelled the bill. Throughout our stay we saw people complaining to hotel staff. The only positive thing about the hotel is the location, but I would prefer to sacrafice this for a better stay. I would steer well clear of this hotel

Beware of Legacy Ottoman Hotel - A Nightmare Experience! Words cannot express the sheer disappointment and outrage I experienced during my stay at the Legacy Ottoman Hotel in Istanbul. My visit was tarnished by an incident that left me feeling violated and traumatized. Not only did the room service staff steal my valuable AirPods and money, but the management's response to this outrageous crime was utterly disgraceful. From the very beginning, this hotel demonstrated a complete lack of security measures and customer care. I entrusted Legacy Ottoman Hotel with my personal belongings, only to have them snatched away by the very individuals who were supposed to ensure my comfort and safety. This incident alone should serve as a red flag to anyone considering staying at this establishment. After discovering the theft, I immediately reported the incident to the hotel staff, expecting their full cooperation and support. However, what I encountered instead was a wall of indifference and apathy. The hotel management not only failed to take immediate action but also showed a shocking lack of empathy towards my distress. Instead of providing the assistance and reassurance I desperately needed, the hotel management shamelessly shifted the blame onto me, suggesting that it was my fault for leaving my belongings unattended. This callous response only served to compound my anguish, as I realized that the hotel had no intention of taking responsibility for the criminal acts that occurred under their roof. I was then forced to spend two grueling days at the police station, desperately trying to track down my stolen AirPods. This entire ordeal could have been avoided had Legacy Ottoman Hotel implemented even the most basic security measures or shown any semblance of concern for its guests. It is truly alarming that a hotel of this stature would leave its patrons vulnerable to such despicable acts. Furthermore, the promise of compensation made by the hotel management turned out to be nothing more than an empty gesture. Their false assurances and hollow words only added insult to injury. Legacy Ottoman Hotel made it abundantly clear that they were more interested in preserving their reputation than in rectifying the wrongs committed on their premises. I strongly advise anyone considering a stay at the Legacy Ottoman Hotel to think twice before subjecting themselves to the same distress and anguish that I endured. This hotel has proven itself to be a den of thieves, devoid of compassion and integrity. Save yourself the heartache and seek accommodation elsewhere, where your safety and well-being will be prioritized. To the management of Legacy Ottoman Hotel: Shame on you for allowing such heinous acts to occur within your establishment and for callously disregarding the welfare of your guests. Your lack of professionalism, empathy, and accountability has left an indelible mark on my memories of Istanbul. I sincerely hope that others will heed this warning and spare themselves the misery of staying at your hotel.

They advertise themselves as a five star hotel but in my opinion they are not. Hotel is beautiful but the finer points are lacking. Room wasn’t the cleanest, bed against the wall with only one nightstand (odd), lack of plugs for electronics, bathroom lacked amenities and the linens seemed old and quite thin. Overall vibe was the hotel is old and just not being kept up the way it could be. Five star hotels pay attention to details and this one doesn’t seem to care so much. I had a way better experience at the Sheraton city center.

Nice location, friendly staff yet they could be more helpful if their English level was higher, good breakfast and nice rooms, however the room's temperature was a bit low and it was cold at night. Used the beauty salon for brushing and it was mediocre. I enjoyed using the saunas though the swimming pool was very small especially for a five star hotel! I expected more from their fitness center and pool, they also didn't lend me dumbbells to take them to my room for an hour and return them back so I had to go down to the fitness room.

Check in is an uncoordinated affair - with too many forms. Breakfast is far too slow, since the buffet is served by staff (of which there were far too few for the queue). The air-con functionality was turned off at this time of year, but without external windows it became boiling in the room. The lifts are limited and extremely slow. Essentially, this hotel is aging poorly

The location is great for Spending a couple days in Istanbul, it’s in the heart of the shops with access to plenty of public transport. The room was way too hot over night, even after adjusting the thermostat. The bathroom also had a bit of mould in the silicone and our room wasn’t ready an hour after the stated check in time which was annoying.

It was quite difficult to decide how many starts to give this hotel because so many things are perfect. But a few things were a let down. Positives first… great location, really good service from all the staff, room cleaned to a high standard, beautiful from the outside, amazing lobby and a fantastic restaurant with unparalleled views on the top floor. However, the room was a bit disappointing, the air conditioning only heated the room and the thermostat did nothing to change this, the shower flooded the room every time it was used because of poor design, the bathroom had a fair bit of mouldy grout/silicone, you can’t open the bathroom door past about 80 degrees because the toilet is behind it and the room was just a bit of a let down when the hotel is meant to be 5*. Also, every morning before 0830 you could hear the cleaning staff making A LOT of noise outside the rooms. I probably wouldn’t return or recommend as I would try and find somewhere with a nicer bedroom for the money.

Stayed here in May. Really great location, close to restaurants, cafe, spice market, the Bosporus. Lobby is very impressive but rooms could do with an update. Enjoyed the hotel bar but again, needs an upgrade. We had to change the first room we were given as the inner rooms have no temperature control and it was boiling and stuffy in these rooms. The biggest problem I have with this hotel is the fact that I made two bookings, one I cancelled due to finding a cheaper rate, for the same dates, closer to our reservation (£200 less). I am however still waiting for my refund over 2 months later! The hotel is now ignoring me and I have had to contact the bank to dispute this charge. Never experienced this before and find it very dishonest, so something to be aware of if being charged upfront and you cancel your reservation (within the cancellation period).

I recently stayed at the Legacy Ottoman Hotel in Istanbul and while the location was convenient, I must express my disappointment with the level of service provided. Here are the issues I encountered during my stay: Check-in Experience: The check-in process was extremely frustrating and slow. Despite arriving on time, our rooms were not ready until approximately two hours later than expected. This delay was an inconvenience that could have been avoided. Unfriendly Housekeeping: The behavior of the housekeeping staff was disappointing. They were unfriendly, unhelpful, and showed a lack of understanding. Their rude demeanor made me hesitant to leave my important belongings unattended in the room, as I feared something might go wrong. Insufficient Water Supply: In a five-star hotel, it is reasonable to expect a sufficient supply of water for guests. However, the Legacy Ottoman Hotel provided only one complimentary water bottle (0.5L) per guest per day. Even when we requested additional water bottles the next day, the staff denied our request. As a result, I had to purchase water from outside sources to ensure I had enough to drink in a hotel that should have provided this basic amenity. Room Discrepancies: We booked three different rooms: a junior suite, a room with a Bosphorus view, and a city view room. Unfortunately, the junior suite lacked a sofa bed, which was a disappointment considering the room category. The Bosphorus view room offered little more than a view of nearby buildings, with only a sliver of the sea visible. Moreover, the city view room, which carried a hefty price tag, turned out to be small and emitted an unpleasant odor. Limited Breakfast Options: The breakfast provided at the hotel lacked variety and quality. The choices were underwhelming, and to make matters worse, the staff had the audacity to charge extra for fresh juices at an exorbitant rate of €6 per juice. This pricing policy for basic breakfast amenities is simply unreasonable. Decline in Service Quality: Having visited this hotel four years ago, I was expecting a comparable level of service during my recent stay. Unfortunately, my experience this time was far from satisfactory, and I would consider it the worst I could have expected from a purported five-star establishment. In conclusion, while the Legacy Ottoman Hotel boasts a favorable location, the issues I encountered with their service were significant and disappointing. The delayed check-in, unfriendly housekeeping staff, inadequate water supply, room discrepancies, lackluster breakfast, and overall decline in service quality have left me with a negative impression. I hope that the hotel management takes these concerns seriously and makes the necessary improvements to enhance the guest experience in the future. One more thing: Nothing for the kids where they can play.

The location is great and the lobby is fancy, but it wouldn't be a 5* hotel by US standards (just something to be aware of). Despite the weather being below 70 degrees, the rooms were hot. Breakfast was great, fresh and different foods each day. Bed was a little firm, but comfortable. I travel with my own pillow, ear plugs and eye mask, so I can't comment on that stuff. YOUR EXPERIENCE HERE WILL VARY GREATLY DEPENDING ON THE ROOM. For those in my group who had windows opening to the enclosed lobby, they reported that the A/C wasn't powerful enough to keep the rooms cool and they all slept poorly due to being excessively hot. I had exterior windows and kept them open behind the sheer curtains the first night; the second, I made the mistake of opening the curtains and woke up with 4 mosquito bites. I was comfortable temperature-wise though. Unfortunately, my first room smelled like an open sewer. I would give that room 1-2* max. When we returned, I had room 136 and it was wonderful - easily 4-5*! It was cooler out and I didn't even need to open windows, but those with interior rooms reported the same problem with being too hot.

A So-Called Five-Star Disaster Our stay at a supposedly "five-star" hotel was nothing short of a catastrophic disappointment. From start to finish, every aspect of our experience was marred by terrible service, limited food, and basic rooms. The concierge refused to help with restaurant reservations outside their hotel, while the manager went as far as preventing us from leaving, causing us to miss our flight. This establishment is a disgrace to the concept of luxury and should be avoided at all costs.

This is the last time I will come to this hotel. Poor and bad room service. The room is for two people and every time they but only one towel when they clean the room. Bad towel quality. There is a disgusting smell in the room that comes from the bathroom even though I leave the bathroom clean. It does not seem a 5 stars hotel. 1 star hotel is better than this hotel. I have 4 rooms with my family, and we all have some notes. Also the reception said “ the management doesn’t care about customer notes”. I do not recommend this hotel. Today, when we came from outside, 3 room keys were not working!!! We had to change the keys. I think the management should look on customer notes and solve their problems. I would never come again. These pictures of the foot towels, and also the body towels have the same damages. I showed them to the reception, but they did do anything!!

Very bad hotel it smells very bad the bathrooms are old and dirty the windows are dusty the electric wires are bare and the metal bits are visible. The front of house staff the lady with glasses is very rude. If you have paid with a credit card please ask your credit card provider for a refund they will give you the whole amount back and the hotel will lose. This might be a wake up call for them to sort things out and get better trained staff. Thanks

DO NOT STAY IN THIS HOTEL!!!!! I recently had the misfortune of staying at a so-called "five-star" hotel that turned out to be an absolute nightmare. From the moment we arrived until our disastrous departure, every aspect of our stay at this establishment was a colossal disappointment. If this is what passes for luxury, then I shudder to think of what other guests have endured. Let's start with the service, or should I say, lack thereof. The staff at this hotel seemed to be completely oblivious to the concept of hospitality. Their apathy and indifference were nothing short of astonishing. It was as if they had been trained to provide the bare minimum of assistance and nothing more. Asking for help or making simple requests became an exercise in futility. Now, let's talk about the food—or should I say, the lackluster, uninspiring food. For a hotel that claims to be at the pinnacle of luxury, their culinary offerings were shockingly mediocre. The limited menu options left much to be desired, and the quality of the food was nothing to write home about. It seemed as though the chefs had given up on creativity and settled for bland, forgettable dishes. Moving on to the rooms, which can only be described as basic at best. For a supposed five-star hotel, I expected elegance, opulence, and attention to detail. Instead, I was greeted with generic decor, tired furnishings, and a distinct lack of any distinctive features. The rooms were drab and lacked any semblance of luxury that one would expect from a reputable establishment. Perhaps the most infuriating aspect of our stay was the concierge. Despite claiming to offer assistance with restaurant reservations, we were met with nothing but resistance when we requested help in securing a reservation at a restaurant of our choice. The concierge insisted that we dine at the restaurant in the hotel itself and claimed she was unable to reach the restaurant we requested for dinner. Needless to say, I called the restaurant myself and made our reservation immediately. I was astonished by blatant dishonesty and primitive push to force us into dining at the hotel. But the pinnacle of this hotel's incompetence was reached when we attempted to check out and catch our flight. The manager, in an unbelievable display of arrogance and disregard for our time, refused to allow us to leave the premises. As we were sitting in the taxi ready to leave the manager was not letting the driver to depart stating they have to physically inspect the rooms and minibar to charge for accidentals. Mind you they had our credit card on file when we checked in and the hotel was prepaid in full before our arrival. When I asked for the manager he confirmed that what we were subjected to was a “routine protocol of the hotel”. We were late to the airport and almost missed our flight. In conclusion, this hotel's claim of being a five-star establishment is a shameless facade. The abysmal service, uninspired food, outdated rooms, and downright hostile management make it abundantly clear that this hotel has no right to associate itself with luxury. Save yourself the anguish and avoid this place at all costs. It is a disgrace to the hospitality industry and clearly nowhere near a five-star hotel.

Nice hotel, needing some updates. The aircon is old and does not work well. The room cards fail every time after one use. Fixtures and fittings looking tired. The service is however, outstanding. Everyone is brilliant and a credit to the hotel. Location is great for getting to some of the best parts of the history of this amazing city.

Unpleasant Stay at Legacy Ottoman Hotel: A Series of Disappointments Review: My recent stay at the Legacy Ottoman Hotel, a place that boasts a five-star rating, was fraught with disappointments and discomforts. Among the most distressing issues was an encounter with the security staff. Despite being a top-paying guest, I was denied access to my room via the elevator by a security guard, even after the front desk had given the go-ahead. This level of unprofessionalism was not only disconcerting but also diminished my perception of the hotel's supposed high standards. The discomfort didn't end there. My room, which I had expected to be a haven of luxury and relaxation, was plagued by mosquitoes. This not only disrupted my sleep but also raised concerns about the overall cleanliness and maintenance of the hotel. The lack of hot water was another major inconvenience. Waiting endlessly for a warm shower is hardly what one expects from a reputed five-star hotel. Additionally, the oversight in providing basic amenities like a toothbrush and comb on the second night was another glaring lapse in service. Further adding to my frustrations was the malfunctioning room key, which left me stranded outside my room on the second day. Such operational glitches are surprising and unacceptable for a hotel that prides itself on providing a seamless experience to its guests. On a slightly positive note, the breakfast offered a unique feature - a fully Bee's honeycomb, which was a pleasant surprise in an otherwise disappointing stay. Overall, my experience at the Legacy Ottoman Hotel fell drastically short of the luxurious stay I had anticipated. The combination of poor service, lack of basic amenities, and the mosquito issue in the room were stark contrasts to the five-star experience the hotel claims to offer. It's my hope that the hotel management will take this feedback seriously and implement necessary changes to improve the guest experience. As it stands, I cannot recommend this hotel to others looking for a comfortable and hassle-free stay.

Being a 5-star hotel you would think they had a proper hairdryer but they don’t, it is like the past century!!! The internet only worked for 1 night although we stayed 3. In the mornings they are very insisting on opening your door without even knocking, and the people that do knock, do it loudly!!! The rooms need update in the corner of our room was an old and humid wallpaper. To make matters worse we came back at midnight and our room was not clean even though we left the card outside our door to have it cleaned!! I just don’t get how it is a 5-star rated hotel.

Located close to the sea and to the old town. Service and Breakfast are great. Only our Room was average with useless Windows to the internal patio.

This hotel is not bad for visitors of only Eminonu. If you wanna visit Istanbul, this is not for you. You cant have a car with this hotel. There is no place to park and hotel is going to take about an hour to get it back from parking. Police is closing all around the roads during the day so you are completely locked. Hotel service is not good either, If you wanna drink coffee at free breakfast, you gotta pay.

My wife and I stayed at this nice hotel for four nights, the location of it was perfect which is close to everything practically, the staff especially Mr Murat who was the front manager all were very cordial and helpful, when we first arrived we had a problem with our reservations which they resolved the problem and made everything is perfect, mistakes happen sometimes, however, when the mistake is solved properly and promptly this is what makes a great establishment like this hotel, thanks to you all and we will be back to your great hotel Mr Murat

Legacy Ottoman is definitely a good choice for those who want to be as central as possible. Staff is super friendly and the rooms are clean. The Grand Bazaar, the harbor and a huge amount of restaurants are easily accessible on foot.

The room we were in the 3rd floor was very hot. The AC is not working and when we open the window to let cool, we can hear the people walking talking from the lobby downstairs. No time to let the reception know as we have strict timetable for our itinerary. We can also hear the people next door when they talk and when they use their bathroom/shower. Did not sleep well at all for 2 nignts we're there. Location is nice as it is walking distance from the city center. Breakfast is good lots of choices.

Beautiful hotel, located in a busy commercial district nearby the Spice Market and a short walking distance to the major sights. The building itself is an old , renovated Ottoman era building....There is a real good restaurant at top floor....

I would say all the price is for the location near sultanahmet & the tram station nearby. The property looks outdated and the rooms are not so well kept or equipped. Actual rooms differ from the what are shown during the booking process. The hotel have got centralised air conditioned system managed by the hotel management. During our visit we had to ask them to provide us with a fan as the room was super hot and suffocating due to central heating. The bathroom was clean but the sink was small and had drainage issues. Beds were comfortable and the linen were clean. Room service need to be a little pro active as I asked to be provided 2 water bottles to keep my fast which were never provided. I don’t think I’d chose to stay there again for the price provided.

Very far from beeing a 5 star hotel, staff is unproffecional. Rooms are dirty, windows are not cleaned since months, furniture is old. For a basic towel and bed sheet change we had to wait 6 hours !!! At 3am , there was a fight in lobby for 15-20 minutes. standart rooms !!!! looking to inner courtyard has been terribily disturbed. (we paid 200+ Euro for this standart !!! room which worth not even 50 euros) We deeply regret to stay in this hotel. Lifetime most Terrible experince for 3 night stay !!!

How dare they call this a 5 star hotel!! Disgustingly filthy rooms, disgusting attitude of staff. No atmosphere in this horrible bed and breakfast!! Absolute robbers in their bar for drinks. Bad location. Towels and bed sheets must have been 20 years old. Feet sticking to the carpets. Felt like I needed to go to a doctor after staying one night here!! I had paid for 6 nights but left on the first!! I knew I would risk loosing over €1000 but I still packed up and left this disgusting hole!!! Fighting with booking .com to get my money back and no luck!!

The hotel location is good because it’s in the centre of some nice places , but I want to talk about reception staff and service , they have not good behaviour with customers , we are booked room 2 weeks ago before going there ,at the last minute they sent us your booking was cancelled, we booked again then they changed our room it was not that room we selected just they wanted to pay a lot of money. I want to salon their to change my hair colour I asked brown colour and have some straight , the salon staff was not professional and she did my hair very bad it was dried and burned and the end colour was black She hurt me to much i never see that bad salon in my life Next day I went again to salon and I asked her I need 5 straight in my hair because the colour not equal and not professional , she said I need 900 lira 🤔just they need money For bad service .

Definitely not a five star hotel, totally misrepresented.. don’t be scammed into booking here because you won’t be able to get your money back and trust me - you will want to leave!! Dirty bedclothes, broken bathroom, decor in a state of disrepair, air conditioning not functioning… manager was totally unhelpful and in fact had an argumentative and dismissive attitude when some issues were addressed. DON’T STAY AT THIS HOTEL
