This was a wonderful restaurant with very attentive service. The food was delicious. Excellent wine list. Everyone enjoyed their meals. Although I don’t eat red meat, there were options on the menu that did without. Highly recommend. If you tend to get warm easily sit in the back room which was considerably cooler.

We chose this place for our first try of the Florentine Steak and wow! This is an experience I'll never forget! They weigh the steak at your table so you're happy with the weight and quality of the steak. You pay per 100g with a minimum of 1kg to share. I have to say, this is the best steak I've ever had. Served rare, which is how I recommend, there's a tonne of flavour and it's super tender! We chose roasted potatoes and spinach as sides which were both great choices. The staff were surprised we didn't want the traditional starter of pasta beforehand but this is quite a meal if you're not used to eating a lot of food! Would definitely recommend this place if you're looking for a good steak. The atmosphere is okay, it doesn't feel tourist directed and the staff are very nice and Friendly!

The truffle pasta tossed in the cheese whee was the absolute best dish we had on our entire trip to Italy, not just Florence. It’s worth every euro that they charge for it. I’ll dream about this dish until we go back! We also had the wild boar ragu that was very delicious.

If I could give it 6 stars, I would. This place was incredible. It's an absolute must when you come to Florence. First, you are greeted by the kindest and most sincere staff. They are passionate and knowledgeable about the location, history, and food. They wait on you hand and foot. Our servers name was Sergio. He was very genuine and personable. He had great recommendations, was very thorough with the menu, and reassured us of our choices. It was one of the best servers I ever had. The service alone was worth 5 stars. But then comes the food!! It tastes even better than it looks! The ANGELS AND DEMONS GNOCCHI Was hands down one of the best past dishes I have ever eaten! This place is Michelin star 🌟 quality. You also have to try there SPECIAL PICI PASTA. From presentation to flavor it's perfect!!! Don't forget dessert it's a real dealer's choice.

One of the top 3 restaurants we tried on this trip. We were able to score a table for 2 people on a weekday night (we came right when it opened). Reservation is highly recommended given how busy the place was. The restaurant has 2 sections (1st section where the entrance was, and an inner section closer to the restroom). Personally I prefer the ambience of the 1st section as it feels more lively. We came here specifically to try the cheese wheel pici pasta with truffle, and it was delicious! While my sister found it a bit heavy towards the end (she prefers milder cheese), I thought it was perfect (I like stronger cheese). The florentine steak is a must-order! Absolutely scrumptious and great value for its quality. The service was very friendly and welcoming, which I think made the dining experience all the more enjoyable. Both the cocktails and wines were great.

Italian staff who are actually skilled and know the food, the wines and speak English. With manners. In a very nicely decorated place that by the way has a very proficient kitchen. Had a wonderful time there celebrating my birthday. Tourist attraction? Maybe... but look no further if you are one, absolutely brilliant!!!

Reservations might be necessary especially on the weekends. Highly recommend. Very friendly staff, helpful. Indoor seating but limited space. The food was amazing. Great flavour and good portions. Steak was cooked perfectly and the tiramisu was excellent.

First and foremost, the staff are wonderful! We were able to snag a last minute opening and staff helped us to a wonderful dining experience. The gnocchi were divine as was the apples cake. The ribeye was good,especially for someone who isn't big on red meat. It is on the pricy side but still recommend.

Very good restaurant with delicious food, wine and friendly service. We ordered Florence steak, gnocchi and pasta, all of them were excellent! Particularly recommend the tagliatelle with wild boar. The boar meat was cooked very well, the taste was detailed and very balanced with the flavor of tomato and various spices.

Exceptional service, most of the servers spoke English and made excellent recommendations. The online menu has pictures and makes the meal selection easy. The food was amazing as well as the desserts. Highly recommend if you are in Florence.

Food was fantastic. Must try their gnocchi and steak and end off with the cheesecake( thanks to past reviewers for sharing)! The waiters speak good English too so no problems getting orders and recommendations. Service was even better. My wife left her item in the restaurant and only realized it the next day. The restaurant staff personally delivered the item to our hotel instead of us having to head over. Thanks!

Conclusion: Carefully prepared and cooked food at an authentic level. I would recommend to make a reservation as the excellent reputation draws locals as well as tourists to this restaurant. Food: Handmade pasta is al dente, the Gnocci is delicious, slowly cooked beef is tender. Service: friendly and impeccable service. We felt warmly cared for during the lunch.

My husband and I came for lunch, and had what we have agreed was one of the best dining experiences since we’ve moved to Italy! The food was unforgettable, paired with an incredible wine and cocktail menu; not the mention the fantastic staff, and jaw dropping history of the building. Altogether, well worth the visit, we’ll be back SOON!

We had an absolutely amazing dinner here. Tried the Florentine steak because it's a local speciality, it was so juicy, tender and delicious. Just be mindful you have to order at least 1kg (but includes weight of the bone so it's not too crazy). The cheesecake was a real surprise, we've not had a cheesecake like it but it was one of the best we've had. Definitely recommend to book given how busy and popular it is.

Bruschetta was extremely fresh and plentiful. The wine selection was great and waiters were well educated. The prices were great. The Florentine stew was incredibly good and was even better with a side order of potatoes. My girlfriend got the catch of the day (sea bass). She said it was fresh , light , and airy. Waiters we’re super cool and the environment was intimate. Would come back. Definitely check this place out. Make a reservation so you don’t get left out.

Ok, it is famous for it's steak, but I heard really good things about their padta too, so pasta it was. Started with the perfect dimple salad of buffalo mozzarella with basil, rocket and tomato with a great aged balsamico (the bead is fantastic too btw) then the gnocchi wich made me want to lick my plate and the pasta with truffle and pecorino was superb. Order a bottle of house wine if you eant more than 2 glasses of wine. Much cheaper. Highly recommend.

Amazing food and service! The waiter was very nice and all his recommendations were on point. We had the antipasti La Buschetta for starters which was a nice selection of meats and cheeses. The real stars were the mains. Pici Special which was a spectacle in the way it was brought to the table and was one of the best pastas I ever tried. Also had a perfectly cooked Filetto special with a side of roast potatoes. The cheesecake was sublime as well! Prices are good for the quality of food and service.

Excellent place! We came here, with friends, to taste traditional Florentine Steak. It was a great experience! Before preparation, they bring you a piece of meat for your approval. It was delicious! This restaurant blew our minds and was easily the best meal we had in Florence, which is saying a lot because we ate like royals. We booked a lunch reservation ahead of time for when they opened up. Be sure to book ahead as it quickly filled up (and on a week day too!) Everything looked amazing but our lovely waiter helped us come up with some of our food options and helped with pairing wines to our meals. We started with the mozzarella cheese tasting with cherry tomatoes. This was our first REAL cheese tasting. It was wonderful to try all of the different cheeses, each were fresh and distinct from the others. We then both ordered the gnocchi with pork cheek. Normally we both agree to NEVER order the same entree but after seeing another table eating it we could not say no. The gnocchi was so flavourful and unlike any other gnocchi we'd had before. It was definitely the best gnocchi either of us had ever tasted - we will definitely be going back in the future for this dish alone. It is a MUST TRY. We then had the Florentine steak. Please listen to the waiters when they say to have it rare. We asked for medium rare and it was UNREAL, HOWEVER; our favourite bits were the pieces that were more rare. It was so juicy and tender. Truly a life changing moment (again - would totally go back for this portion alone as well!) It is worth every euro spent! Finally, we had the homemade cheesecake with berries. It was a cheesecake we had never experienced before. It was fluffy and light. Funnily enough we were going to say no to the dessert as we were stuffed but we agreed we'd order it just to have a bite - the cheesecake stood no chance. It too, is a MUST order. After our lovely meal we were given free espressos and free limoncello. We plan to go back as it was one of the best meals of our lives. It is clean, spacious and the waitstaff are all lovely. Definitely recommend going here for a meal or you will have surely missed out on a wonderful experience.

We had the most amazing New Year's dinner at a restaurant recently, and we can't stop talking about it. The standout dish of the night was definitely the best beef filet we've ever had, topped with tasty blue cheese and walnuts. It was a real winner and became an instant favorite for us. The guys in our group were also raving about the truffle steak - they absolutely loved it. To finish off the evening, we treated ourselves to a mouthwatering cheesecake. It was so unique and just melted in our mouths, leaving us all grinning from ear to ear. The mix of flavors and textures was out of this world. The staff really made the night special. They were not only super friendly but also gave us some fantastic recommendations. We ended up ordering every single one, and they were all spot-on. Each dish was a real work of art, and we were over the moon with our choices. The restaurant's interior was also really cool. The walls were covered in corks, giving it a charming and artsy vibe that added to the whole experience. For our friend who's not a fan of beef, there was a delicious chicken dish that they absolutely loved. It was great to see that the restaurant caters to different tastes. Overall, this New Year's dinner was one for the books. From the awesome dishes to the top-notch service and cozy atmosphere, it totally blew us away. We'd highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for an unforgettable dining experience.

Excellent service and also excellent food. We came back twice because every dish we tried was to die for! Staff remembered what wine we ordered and what meals we ordered from days ago. They don't rush you out and are very helpful with the menu and wine choices.

The restaurant has a wonderful atmosphere topped only by its exceptional food. We had Caprese salad with terrific, fresh (and generous) mozzarella. The pasta with truffles was outstanding, and the signature Steak Florentine lived up to its billing as the house specialty. The waiter suggested the perfect wine pairing. We can’t recommend this highly enough.

We visited this restaurant twice when we stayed in Florence for a weekend break last week because the food, service and atmosphere was so good! The starters are huge so definitely share one. On our first visit for our main course I had the gnocchi and my partner had the steak with a walnut sauce both really tasty! The next evening for my birthday (the big 40) we went back as we really wanted to try the steak florentine, we ordered 1.6kg and shared with roast potatoes and asparagus as sides all I can say is wow so delicious. My partner likes his a little more cooked than I do and they happily took some back to cook a little longer. The service is amazing, they speak English very well and could explain and advise us about the menu I was able to use Google chat to book a table with a quick reply. Holy cow, what a meal! We stopped at La Buchetta for lunch and ended up having a feast. Every single thing we ordered was fantastic. I recommend all of the following. Antipasti: Tartare di filetto, Degustazione di mozzarella Primeri: Gnocchi angeli, tagliatelle di cinghaile Secondi: Scaloppina di vitella, Bistecca alla florintina All absolutely amazing dishes. This was the best meal we've had in Italy, which was a trip that spanned Venice, Rome, Montepulciano, and even San Marino. I also have to say, the food wasn't the only outstanding part of the experience. The entire staff was fantastic as well! Friendly, talkative, knowledgeable, and informative. Service was prompt, which is a rarity in Italy, and they even gave us drinks on the house at the end because we got along so well. Really made us feel welcome as Americans in Florence. Couldn't recommend this place enough. Also, fun fact, they have the first wine window ever put into use in Florence. Don't know what that is? Look it up!

Amazing dinner. Service was wonderful with great advice and explanations of dishes. We ordered the Florentine steak, angels and demons gnocchi and another pasta dish. I was skeptical of the rare steak because I usually eat it medium but it was fantastic! Everything was delicious! Cozy atmosphere! I don’t think you could go wrong eating here!

La Buchetta served probably our favorite meal in Firenze. The pasta and steak Florentine were excellent. Our waiter was very helpful in guiding our choices. Would definitely return.

I’m writing this now after just having been there earlier tonight. We have been in Italy for two weeks and this was the best overall restaurant we have been to. All of the food was amazing! We especially liked the steak with truffle and the special cheese pasta. The cheesecake was to die for, definitely worth ordering. Make reservations now and do not miss this while in Florence. It was divine.

Best food I’ve tried in Italy!! I was wondering if I could find the taste I was looking for during my trip. La Buchetta cover more than my expectations of Italian food. What I loved the most is that it is a small place with personalized attention so the taste is home made 🫶🏻

Best gnocchi I've ever had in my life!! So flavorful soft and cheesy. I also recommend the cheesecake as it is served warm and it's like a soft fluffy cloud that melts in your mouth

Our third time to this restaurant as we visit every time we come! The staff are incredible, friendly and always helpful. The food is extraordinary. We had 2 main meals, a bottle of red wine, and we shared their famous-must-have baked cheesecake for dessert. €90.50! Worth every penny. Highly recommend- we will be back. @spiffingtravels
