This was my 29th Michelin star restaurant. Did it live to its name? In my opinion, no. Service was subpar, seems like they are trying to upsell everything, from very overpriced bottles, water, to cheese and €100+ white truffle addition. Dishes lack a common thread to keep them together to form a cohesive story. The staff wasn’t well prepared to elaborate on the dish’s creation story (at least in English). For a 3 star restaurant, I expected more. Timing of the dishes was parsed very apart, to a point that I almost fell asleep (I was dining alone). No one walked up to me to chat or ask how I was doing/ where I was visiting from. In general, it felt like a show where you paid for the name brand and the script but the casts were all understudies.

We really wanted to like Enoteca Pinchiorri, but we felt it fell short especially being a 3 Michelin star restaurant. Here's what we did like about it: 1) They were able to accommodate us when I had the reservation date wrong. 2) Service was good and they're quick to cater to you Here's where we thought it went wrong: 1) Water has its own menu starting at 10 euros per bottle 2) We were only impressed by the first couple and the last couple times on the tasting menu (the rest were not bad just not a wow factor) 3) Money spent and value received was severely imbalanced. It's nice to cross it off the list. We were definitely expecting more out of our first Michelin 3 stars, but things don't always work out.

We’re struggling a bit with this one. We’ve been to many Michelin star restaurants, but this was our first experience with 3 stars. The food was incredible, but we really did not enjoy the overall experience. And for the price you pay, that’s hard to reconcile with. I’ll start with the food. Nothing bad to say here. Multiple dishes had you saying “wow” as you take a bite. The menus are very well designed and the portions are pretty respectable. If you have the option, you have to try the veal chop - I’m still dreaming about it. Now on to the experience. It’s a bit stuffy and pretentious. Look, you’ve got 3 stars, you can do that. It just wasn’t for us. The dining room is extremely bright and it’s almost silent. It’s like every table is afraid to make any noise because of how you’ll be perceived. Hard to describe the overall feeling, but it definitely wasn’t an enjoyable or welcoming environment. The staff was certainly nice, but you’ll notice a lot of reviews mentioning that they constantly up-sell you. They’re right. They come to your table often trying to get you to spend more and then look down upon you if you turn it away. Again, just not for us. Last thing here - the price. Again, you’ve got 3 stars, you can charge whatever you want. BUT - every single aspect needs to be perfect, and I can’t say that here. It’s pricey. Like, €120 per dish. Not going to dwell on this too much, we just didn’t feel good about the value we were getting. To each their own… I’d still recommend coming here, just do a bit of your own research first.

We were definitely disappointed with our experience here. We were very excited given it's the only 3 star Michelin in Florence, but the food was good, not exceptional in flavour. The service was very pushy in trying to upsell you at many points throughout the meal which qas off-putting. Our first 3 star Michelin we wouldn't return to or recommend.

Do Not Eat Here. I really wanted to like this place but sadly the lowest reviews are true. I don't know what happened here but it was a complete failure. Went a la carte as everyone here commented the tasting was not good, and this was no better. The amberjack sauce overpowered everything, the pasta was bland, the veal too salty and weirdly I'm sure they switched up the truffle on us. We ordered truffle on most dishes as an add on and you can see here there is a clear difference between them (I'm verifying with a truffle hunter I know). The worst part was the staff didn't even care, we sent the veal back bc of saltiness and the response was "ok" not even an apology until at the end one of the staff came to check on how everything was. We were honest but kind and he said sorry and that was it. I travel to eat and tend to do star runs every place so no stranger to quality. This round in Italy I went to chic nonna, santa elizabetta, enrico bartelini, dal pescatore, il liogo aimo, Esplanade, and others that were just bibs and were way better. Enoteca is by far the worst meal I have had in all of Italy and @michelin reviewers please go see what is up. Super disappointed.

The only Michelin 3 stars rated restaurant in Florence. I would only give it a high 2 stars and low 3 stars. Cooking is not bad but not exceptional. The fish we ordered were too salty and need to change. When I made the booking already stated we do not like cheep or goat cheese ingredients but it was still presented in the welcome small bites. This kind of mistake is not acceptable for a 3 stars restaurant. When complaint about the saltyness of the fish, we did not get an apology before explaining the possible cause. The grand cellar is an eye opening and this is a big credit to the Michelin stars. All in all, a famous restaurant to try but cooking can be improved.

My husband and I took Evolution, the tasting menu. All the course dishes were delicious except duck breast since the meat was a bit overcooked and I didn’t like the texture. If I have to say about the excellence and uniqueness of Enoteca Pinchiorri, well… I’m not sure if I found one. I kept comparing it to other Michelin 3-star restaurants that I went to in Paris, and I don't think I found some specialty of this place. But still, I liked kind and nice staffs, and the atmosphere as well.

Terrible experience. Waste of 1000 euros. We live in NYC and been to some of NYC’s best restaurants and paid less for their tasting menu. If you go, do not get the wine pairing! It’s a waste. €200 per person for three pairings that are unlimited, but they only give you a splash of wine each time leaving you waiting for more wine each time. Barely had three full glasses of wine with our meal for that price. We could have definitely ordered two full bottles of wine for less and had more. They were tasty, but not worth the price. Now service. They tried to be on top of it, and they are all super nice, but compared to Daniel in NYC, the experience is lacking, and you pay less! Like I said before. We were left numerous times without anything to drink. They served the entree without the final red wine pairing! With service my husband got up and asked where the bathrooms were and the waiter responded, your next courses is on its way. And my husband said okay, I didn’t ask for that I asked where the bathroom was, and he was like oh, okay. And then had someone else’s reluctantly show him! We paid enough money to accommodate us to use the restroom without worrying about or next course. The food. Some of it was inventive and tasty, but overall it’s nothing special and not deserving of the price. Please, save your money and go else where. The bathrooms. No soap… Literally the two private restrooms have a sink and cloth towels but no soap, not even a place for soap… Need I say more? Michelin please knock off their rating! It doesn’t deserve this! We wasted our money!

Pinchiorri struggles to maintain the balance between creativity and palatability - compensating for the lack of the former with inexplicable flavor combinations that should never be plated together. Pea loaf and horseradish ice cream would more reasonably be a dish on “fear factor” than a Michelin guide dessert. The disappointing food was coupled with a dull dining area with four couples in close proximity - devoid of any tasteful background noise that would allow anyone to have a truly private conversation without whispering in their partner’s ear. After telling the sommelier we would go light on wine as we had spent the entire day tasting wines in Tuscany - he persistently tried to upsell us on a ~$600 wine pairing. It genuinely felt like an uncomfortable confrontation where he did not want us to get away with wine by the glass. The one couple in our dining area that conceded to the overpriced pairing was naturally treated significantly better throughout the night; while we departed the restaurant without a “goodbye” from the sommelier after paying the ~$500 bill, they were offered a private tour of the wine cellar downstairs. We left Florence yesterday and were lucky enough to dine at La Pergola in Rome tonight. The two are simply not in the same league. It won’t be long before Pinchiorri loses its Michelin designation and is forced to drop its prices to match the restaurant’s quality. Until then, it simply isn’t worth the reservation.

I want to start off by saying that the service was generally good until the last part. Some were better at explaining dishes than others. The food was expertly prepared as well. However, do not get the wine pairing. It does NOT pair with the food. It's more like a wine tasting of fine wines. The wines individually tasted amazing, but when paired with the food, destroyed the flavor of the food and wine. You're better off getting a bottle of your favorite expensive wine and sipping on that. I wish I read some reviews before coming that suggested you to NOT do the tasting menu and NOT the wine pairing. Maybe if we tried a la carte we would've had a better experience. The pacing of the food was not fluid. 1.5 hours for all savory dishes served very quickly, then 1-1.5 hour of sweets served very slowly. We had an earlier seating, so once the rest of the tables filled up it seemed like we didn't get as much attention. Maybe there was a labor shortage? But for 1600 Euro for 2 people, I am not sure it was worth it for me. I'm very sad because I wanted to love this experience so much.

Definitely one of the best restaurants in Italy! Have had their food on numerous occasions and it always was exceptional. They have an impressive wine cellar that is worth the visit and paradise for every wine lover! Pairing the right wine to each course is part of the perfect experience at Enoteca Pinchiorri.

Not a meal, an experience. From the start when we are greeted by the owner and manager to the end as we finished with a tour of their world acclaimed wine cellar - this was dinner and a show. A show of impeccable attention to detail in every instance of dining. We opted for the nine course seasonal menu. Each course fantastically planned, paired with its own unique silverware set. It was hard to pick our favorite. Dessert probably with the selection of after dinner chocolates. Not a wine menu - a wine Bible. A menu just for water. All in all expect to pay about $500 a person if opting for a bottle of wine - the least expensive is $150 a bottle. More of you are pairing it with wine. Overall an excellent night, well recommended.

It was one of my experience among Michelin restaurants. The baked pasta dish is too good to put into words. I still remember the amazing flavor that you could never find anywhere in the world ❤️

Enoteca Pinchiorri in Florence is a culinary masterpiece. The restaurant offers a truly exceptional dining experience, with its impeccable service and an extensive wine list that will delight even the most discerning oenophiles. The cuisine is a harmonious blend of innovation and tradition, resulting in dishes that are not only visually stunning but also bursting with exquisite flavors. Dining here is a journey through the finest Italian ingredients, and it's no wonder Enoteca Pinchiorri has earned its three Michelin stars. A truly memorable gastronomic adventure.

Wonderful experience for our anniversary! We were treated exactly like I would expect at a Michelin restaurant. The staff were very attentive and there was no language barrier. The food was fantastic as was the wine pairing. The wine book was intimidating but the staff were very helpful in navigating it for us without trying to upsell us. Overall we had a great experience. They gave us different menus, however. My menu (female) did not have prices on it, and my husbands did. I understand this might be a cultural difference, but it was not something we (Americans) are use to.

It was an interesting experience for us. The food was creative and the service was excellent. The lobster was perfectly cooked. Desserts were full of pleasant surprises. They also have an excellent vegan tasting menu. If you do not mind spending extra for a fancy dinner, this is a good place to visit. Reserve your time online. I took one star off because of my expectation with a Michelin 3 restaurant.

Must visit, no questions! We are from the states and booked this on a whim. Service is outstanding, and there was someone always there to help. The food was terrific and full of surprises. As soon as you sit, you are greeted with a special surprise. The wine menu was impressive, as well as the water menu. Loved the intimate feel in such a large restaurant. You can watch the cooks in the kitchen while you eat. Everything is perfect, from the cheese cart to the chocolate cart. The take-home surprise is the cherry on top. If you are looking for that wow factor, look no further! I’m not a good critic, but I’ve been to multiple Michelin star restaurants and this is at the top!

Hi, me and my husband just had dinner at this restaurant yesterday. And it was a bit disappointing from the beginning. When we entered the restaurant , after the group of 4 people ( 3 men and 1 women). We were questioned from where we are coming - I said the hotel name, my husband city where we are coming from. But the question were strange. Then they stopped my husband and told that the rule is the the sleeves should be down on his shirt - which ok we can understand it ( even if it is 35 degrees outside) and on the dress code rule it is written that no shirts with a short sleeves. So they were waiting for my husband to put down the sleeves. After that we entering the room and the family which were before us is sitting where all 3 men has their sleeves on their shirts up and nobody told them to roll them down. For me it was quite discriminating. But if the 3 Michelin star restaurant setting up the rules, then they should be for everyone. The dinner food was average - we were having a tasting menu. Out of all meals - I liked the cheese and one course. The service were good except the sommelier - he was a bit rude and were not looking after our glasses - we needed to be asking a lot for our wine. We spend 1200 euro with alcohol and food and I would say that with this attitude and pretentiousness - never would recommend this place. At the end I told the guy who asked my husband to put down the sleeves - that he can’t deiced which guest and how he will treat - he told that he didn’t notice other 3 men in front of that their sleeves up - I think a least he could apologize for being selective. I usually never write google reviews - but i told him for this kind of experience I will definitely write a review.

Absolutely fantastic wine list. Great ambiance. Food was good too, but pales when compared to the vino. Restrooms needed attention unfortunately.

I am vegetarian and it’s hard to find restaurants that serve variety of vegetarian, forget Michelin star. I wasn’t disappointed, delectable food, exceptional service, perfect ambience, feels almost like museum, but romantic. My favorite was the pasta, and the avacado - pistachio dish. Only downside I see is wines were way expensive than we expected and we payed for the water.

One of the best restaurants. We had an amazing experience in food and pairing. Service was outstanding. Food was one of the best we had and the pairing was beyond our expectations.

We had the privilege of feasting on Enoteca Pichiorri’s tasting menu, where every dish was a fresh bold work of art. This was my first taste of a 3 star Michelin Restaurant and I understand why people become foodies. When you read the menu, below, you might think, no-way would I eat sauteed snails with braised leeks … I wasn’t mentally there either. Every menu item presented flavors that were both familiar and surprising … especially when paired with a bottomless wine list meant to enhance each flavor. The surprise all you can eat chocolate dessert cart at the end was fabulous. Blue cheese chocolates blew my mind! Hopefully the pictures do it justice!

I was really looking forward to my meal here, but overall left somewhat disappointed. I want to start off by saying the service was fabulous and every staff member was a true delight. I did the tasting menu and they were able to replace and create 2 special dishes for me upon request due to some dietary restrictions that prevented me from eating 2 of the standard courses - that was greatly appreciated. However, the overall food simply wasn’t that good. Out of all the courses, the ravioli and the snails were really the only memorable dishes that I would ever consider reordering again. At times it also seemed like many of the flavor profiles between courses blended together. When doing a sample menu, I expect to be wowed by something different and new each course, but it got a bit boring after a while. A few dishes were also more salty that I would’ve preferred. Also it was simply too much food. By the 5th course I was dreading thinking about the fact that I was only a little halfway through. I think the portions need to be reduced so you don’t leave feeling so full that it’s uncomfortable. Overall it was nice for the experience, but left quite a bit to be desired when it came to the actual food.

This is for sure a very good experience, in one of the most iconic Italian restaurants. This family enoteca is a piece of Firenze history and deserves to be tried at least once. The cuisine is good, nothing incredible, but everything is well prepared. The place is elegant and charming. Where the excellence comes is the service. The personnel is just incredible, one of the best I had in my life. Everyone is welcoming, smiling and happy. They will do their best to let you have a unforgettable moment. The service is as important as the meal, that's the reason I gave 5 stars. The cuisine probably deserves a 4, but the service deserves a 6.

My husband and I came here having booked it many weeks in advance, expecting it to be a once in a lifetime experience. We have been to other Michelin-starred restaurants and had great experiences. However our night at Enoteca Pinchiorri was an incredibly disappointing experience. We had the Evolution degustation menu. The food was not tasty, delicious or moreish. Each dish might have one element which was nice (like the duck breast, the scallops, or the hazelnuts in the ‘pre-dessert) but the mix of all the different flavours in a dish left a lot to be desired. I didn’t finish most dishes. The food overall was too salty. The focus was plainly on technique and expensive/exotic ingredients rather than creating dishes that were actually enjoyable to eat. The staff tried - they were mostly friendly. There was a long wait for desserts though. A complete waste of 1700 euros.
