Some of the best pizza in Florence. We called and made a reservation, but when we got there, we're told that they don't take reservations - so figure that one out *shrug*. We ended up waiting like 20 minutes to be seated, but it was worth it in the end and the pizza was great. My advice is to just be prepared to wait for tables to clear, or just get takeaway - they seemed to be churning out pizzas at a pretty good rate.

Absolutely AMAZING!!! I hadn’t been to Florence in 10 years and went back for a visit this July and my first meal had to be Gusta pizza and I’m happy to report it hasn’t changed a bit!! I was instantly transported back to my university days! So happy to say it’s still delicious with extremely reasonable pricing! Margherita pizza is only 6€ and the beer on tap starts at about 4€! The crust is soft and chewy, the sauce, cheese, and ingredients are so fresh and flavourful! There’s some seating inside and a patio outside but it’s always lined up so you can also opt to grab takeout which we did on our second visit, it only took 10-15mins. Eating inside is cool with a fun atmosphere watching the chefs cooking pizzas in the wood fired oven, but in July you’ll absolutely melt it’s so hot! The staff speak English and are very friendly, joking with me that my take out was going to be 3 hours! Highly recommend!!!!!

The burrata pizza with pesto is amazing and I recommend everyone gets it. The 4 cheese pizza was good as well but some people in my group didn't like it due to the strong gorgonzola flavor. The ham and mushroom pizza wasn't the best but the others made up for it

The pizza here is delicious and so affordable. About 10-15 for most pizzas and they’re huge! The line can get lengthy but like most lines I’ve seen, it moved quickly! Probably because everyone is scarfing down the delicious slices! I highly recommend getting any pizza with burrata on it, and also adding spicy salami to it!! Best topping ever - so crispy and flavorful.

This may seem like an unpopular opinion, but my partner and I were really disappointed by our food experience here. After seeing the reviews, we were excited to eat the “best pizza” however unfortunately that is not what we found. It seems to me that there is a little Instagram hype going on here. The base was doughy and a little thicker on what I would normally find in good Italian pizza, the toppings were sparing and the flavour was lacking. Perhaps this is maybe down to Firenze not being home of the pizza. If you can I’d wait to you reach Napoli to eat the best pizza in the world.

Outstanding Pizza, friendly service, tasty vino and a charming atmosphere. The staff are happy and positive. The chefs sing while cooking - the love shines through in their food. The restaurant was full of locals, tourists and all looked satisfied.

Their namesake pizza, the gusta pizza is pretty good. A very healthy and fresh tasting pizza with fresh arugula and cherry tomatoes. The napoli sardine pizza is a very polarizing pizza that is extremely salty but if you choose an anchovy pizza you know what you're getting into. The porcini pizza is a little too much and I personally didn't like the texture of the toppings and it could have used some acidity from tomato sauce. The pesto pizza was pretty good and I have no complaints with it. Overall the pizzas were fine. They are all personal sized but filling. The staff are friendly and don't try to rush you out like some other places. The lines outside do get long before opening, try to get there early to snag a table inside during the colder months of the year.

This is one of the best napolitain pizza I have ever tried in Firenze. We went there for a diner and waited in the line at least 45 mins. After that we really liked what we had. The portions are large, prices are reasonable for the quality. The music was really cheerful and enjoyed our diner a lot. Pizza chefs are sympathetic and just seeing them that they are enjoying what they do it gives you and impression that a good pizza is waiting for you. A place not to miss.

Yes, there is a long queue, but it’s worth to check it out. I went there relatively late, around 9pm, but I had to wait almost 45 minutes to get my pizza as “to-go.” The pizza was good, but it was hard to tell that it was the best pizza I’ve had. However, I’m glad I got to try it, yet, I doubt I would go back to stay in a long to pick up a pizza from there again. The staffs were nice and attentive. The restaurant was more spacious than it looked from the outside.

At arrival, the length of the queue can easily discourage inpatient peoples but trust me: the line is moving quite fast and it is definitely worth it to wait to be seated so that you can enjoy one of the best pizza you will ever eat. Everything was just perfectly tasty and the staff was really nice despite the fact that they are at 100+% hours long!

I had so much pizza when I was in Italy and Gusta Pizza is the best pizza I’ve ever had. We were warned there would be a wait, so we showed up a bit early (11:50am) and they were already opened and seating people. We were able to sit outside on the patio. It was also cheaper than I expected. I ordered the Gusta Pizza and I will be dreaming about it for the rest of my life.

Seriously good pizza. I stayed across the road for my time in Florence and damn i considered myself lucky. I went a few times and never had a bad experience. The waitstaff are funny and friendly. They play good tunes that set the tone. Go early and avoid the lines or just get a takeaway spritz from across the road and park up for a bit. The pizza is worth it.

My oh my, this was spiritual. Probably one of the best I've ever had. Lines at 2pm were around 15-25 minutes. There is a separate take away line that moves much faster for anyone in a hurry. Get the pesto burata pizza!

Ok so I never leave reviews but I just have to say something of what my experience was and what was my expectations where and supposed to be. So before I went there I looked and read the reviews there where a lot of positive and less negative I thought good that a good sign. I made my order and waited for my food. When It came it looked good. But as soon as I cut the pizza it looked off. When you mix water and oil they do not mix well and they don’t get along so they separate. I don’t know what they used as a liquid but it was separating all ready. Then there was the sauce problem there was hardly on there sure there was some around the crust but in the middle of the pizza it just looked like it evaporated out of thin air. There was also not flavor. It’s just tasted like tomato. I order a margarita pizza. In the sauce you couldn’t taste any seasoning whats so for ever. It just tasted plane like they used some kind of a tomato can. The crust did have a nice bite to it but off course with the separation of the oil and liquid in the middle it just tasted like a saggy pizza. I am very disappointed I know what Italy pizza is supposed to to taste like because I have experienced the best pizza that Italy has to offer. I’m sorry to say this this isn’t not really Italian pizza. It’s disgusting. It was so bad that I had to call my MOM overseas to vent my feelings. I didn’t even finish it. I just ate four slice and pretend to enjoy even though I really wanted to throw it in the garage bc that’s where it belong. I have worked in kitchen before so I know what it’s like and what kind of pressure they are under. But I have been told by my chefs that (would u want them have it in a hurry and have it not fully ready for services or would u want them to wait so u can make sure it comes out good.) I wouldn’t mind waiting as long as it came out good. But unfortunately it did not it was not worth any money and it was not worth the stars if I could give it a -0 I would.

Definitely NOT overrated... pizza was sooooo good and so inexpensive! 14 euros for two pizzas! If you don't want to eat in the restaurant, you can order to go off to the right or call them. There's a nice plaza next door where you can eat instead. I would recommend reservations to eat at The place. Dough was so flavourful and delicious!!

Good pizzas but not the best in the world. Good price for Florence. I would repeat to try other flavours to see if they are better!

Long queue, i recommend going at least half an hour before it opens to queue(there should already be a crowd there). Its absolutely worth it tho! Best pizza i can remember ever having, and the prices r definite steals.

Very nice service and polite staff! Nice location, quite crowded, but the pizza is definitely worth the wait! You can feel the burned wood taste in your mouth. The thickness of the dough is just right and the toppings are also really tasty! The prices are also really good!

Best pizza ever! The dough is so soft and pillowy and the ingredients are super fresh. First time came for lunch the lines move pretty fast but we got there around 1pm and the line can get pretty long. So recommend to stop by when they open or before lunch rush hour.

Very strong pizza and very fast service for takeout. The materials bonded well and the combinations were a bit more mainstream but well executed. Her dough was 8.5/10. If I could I would put 4.5/5 overall.

A really very good pizzeria in Firenze! From the service to the food - we were very satisfied. The individual ingredients on the pizza were all very fresh and of exceptional quality. You could taste it with every bite!!! The employees are all in a great mood and spread this good mood throughout the store. The kitchen is open, so you can always see how clean and tidy the employees are working.

Such an amazing napoli style pizzas!! Honesty there is always a line on there but definitely deserve for the tastes. Once we waited line for sitting there but after I liked so much we ordered to go and it has another line for it ( this might be good option who dont wanna wait long time ) We tried 4 different pizzas all were perfect :)

Some of the best pizza I've had in Italy. There's something really special about the dough here. It has a nice bounce that gives it a pleasant chewiness/consistency. The Porcini was delicious and the Calabrese is nice for Americans who enjoy pepperoni pizza from back home.

It was the best meal we had in Florence. I recommend you follow the working hours carefully and get in line before it's too late.

People were waiting outside and 15' after opening the pizzeria was almost full. The menu had a lot of pizza options. The atmosphere was very pleasant with nice music. The food was served quickly. The dough was amazing and perfectly baked. The tomato sauce was fresh and one of the tastiest I've ever tasted. The pizza was quite spicy for my standards but it was undoubtedly very tasty. The house wine was good, nothing special. Definitely a must visit place for food if you are in Florence.

Great brick oven pizza! Get there early as the tables will fill up. One pizza is enough for 2 people, unless your pretty hungry. The truffle pizza and the burrata pizza are fantastic!

Best pizza in Italy! I tried several places in Rome and then Florence and Gustapizza is my current favorite. The place offers both a dine in and takeout option so don't be too discouraged if you see a long line in both sides. Takeout is a lot faster then you might think as they bring out a bunch of boxes of pizza all at the same time.

One of the best pizzas we have eaten in our lives. Many reviews mention plastic utensils but they have changed that and offer metal ones now. Highly recommend!!

  • 5/5 Anthony G. 1 year ago on Google
Phenomenal pizza. Probably amongst the pizza pizza in Italy and Florence. You could tell there's a good reputation here as prior to opening there's a line outside that maintains throughout the night. Service was quick. Prices are great. The house wine was good. Overall just fantastic. You could eat inside or outside on their terrace. The outside appeared to take less long to get a table . It's not a really big place so the inside may feel crowded. But please do yourself a favor and try this pizza if your in florence. It really adds to the whole experience there.

I've had Gustapizza three times in the past month alone and it has never disappointed. Easily the best Margherita pizza in town! The dough and cheese are great, but the showstopper is the fresh sauce. This is a must try.

Delicious pizza, good wine, scrumptious spritzes and speedy service! So good we ate here twice. Unless you arrive early, be prepared for a wait.

After going on a fabulous morning walking tour, we went for a pizza here as recommended by our tour guide. I had been so disappointed by the food I had in Italy especially the pizzas. This place restored my faith, the bread was soft and delicious and the flavours in the toppings fab. Highly recommend a visit.

Great great pizza. The owner knew my friend and greeted us with good spirits. The pizza chefs were also very kind, laughing when we cheered at their fantastic pizzas. But it's Florence, there isn't really a need to compliment the food anymore than necessary lol!

I tried to click 0.5 stars, but it wouldn't click. I ordered Neapolitan pizza and Gusta pizza, but my tongue got paralyzed. Feels like eating a pinch of salt It seems to be popular with locals. We waited for 50 minutes.
