This place has quite a bit of reputation, and the queue before the shop opens on a Sunday gave me quite a bit of expectation. The lady making the fresh pasta at the window raises the expectations further. The food is quite good but not great and the service and ambience good. However the price is a bit high and if you are going for pure good food, there are better prices options in Florence. One thing to point out is they serve bubbly wine FOC and fried bread which were fantastic!!

We went to this restaurant because we wanted to try the amazing looking/sounding pasta prepared in a cheese wheel. We were not disappointed at all with our decision! The server does a wonderful job with the show to soften the cheese then mix fresh pasta in the wheel adding white truffle oil and the shaved truffles on the top. The taste of this dish is amazing and the preparation show is wonderful as well. This is popular in the restaurant so you should make a reservation to go here. The lasagna was the best I have ever had and is not traditional with truffle cream in it. The desserts are great but also not traditional Italian in preparation so worth trying for sure. The house wine was great and our experience here was worth the trip!

We came across this place while walking in Firenze. We were lucky to get a table. We were welcomed with 2 little glasses of Prosecco and very attentive staff. You can observe fresh pasta making in the front window of the restaurant. Our pasta was cooked over the cheese and let me tell you if was delicious. House wine was very good. I will come back to this place over and over. I suggest plan your visit with time and make reservations.

The food was delicious. Their Tagliatelle prepared inside a cheese wheel with added truffle was the best pasta I have ever had! We also tried their Risotto with lamb and 2 of their desserts. You have to make sure to make reservations in advance because the walk-in line is very long. I was able to make a reservation online and skipped the line and had 0 wait time.

The best pasta I have ever eaten. Spent a week travelling around Italy and this was by far the best pasta I have ever eaten. I loved how they made the dish at your table in the cheese wheel, it was very fun to watch. We didn’t have a reservation which most people going do (would recommend booking in advance as it’s very popular) we waited for some time for a table which was our choice to do knowing it could take sometime but we were so happy to have made it in and it was well worth the wait. This is a must visit if you are in Florence, I can’t recommend enough.

Osteria Pastella is a fantastic Italian spot. The roasted veggies with cheese starter were tasty, and the truffle pasta was just amazing. Finished off with a chocolate cake and coffee – it hit the spot. The staff was friendly, and the place had a nice vibe. Overall, a delicious meal with great service in a cozy setting.

We are thrilled with this place! We came here specifically during the day, half an hour before their opening, eager to try their pasta in cheese. Finally, after an hour, we got our dishes. But the wait was definitely worth it! Excellent service, unique and vibrant presentation, and most importantly, the taste! This place is my number one among all the restaurants I've visited in Florence.

Reservations highly recommended unless you want to wait in a pretty long line. We made reservations in advanced while planning our euro trip. We got: Farm salad Beef tongue Tagliatelle flambé al tartufo Cheese wheel pasta did not disappoint, don’t expect a flamed cheese show per dish (we didn’t)- the restaurant gets filled right at opening time. They offer a free limoncello shot at the end of your meal as well. Definitely recommend if you are able to get reservations, but I wouldn’t say it would be 100% worth it to wait in that long line without one.

Hands down some of the best food we had in Tuscany. When we arrived, a lady was making pasta in the front window. It looked so good I had to order it! The staff was very friendly and explained any questions we may have had.

We waited over an hour because we didnt make a reservation - so learn from that mistake! This place is absolutely amazing, if I could I'd give it 6 stars! We had the lasagne, ravioli and the cheese wheel pasta - holy mother of god, the food was great! I rarely had more satisfying and tasty dishes, an absolute must go if you are in Florence!

We ate here twice while we were here. The entire experience was fabulous. First night was Bisteca and second time the pasta in the cheese wheel for 1 and the spinach and ricotta tortellini. Service was excellent and the food even better.

My wife and I recently had the pleasure of dining at a wonderful restaurant in Firenze, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm hospitality and a welcoming atmosphere. The menu was full of delicious options, but we decided to try the octopus and truffle pasta, which were both absolutely divine. The octopus was perfectly cooked and seasoned, and the truffle pasta was hands down the most delicious pasta dish I've ever had. For dessert, we indulged in both the taramisu and passion fruit, which were equally scrumptious and a perfect way to end the meal. The only downside to our experience was the wait time - we didn't have a reservation and ended up waiting for an hour to be seated. I would definitely recommend making a reservation ahead of time to avoid a long wait. Overall, I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Firenze. The food was incredible, the atmosphere was lovely, and the service was top-notch. It's a true gem in the heart of the city.

Wonderful restaurant for lunch or dinner. The service is always friendly and helpful. The food is absolutely delicious, and the flambe dishes come with a show! For dessert, the deconstructed tiramisu was absolutely divine! The lemon cello at the end is a nice and enjoyable touch!

The in house starter is a fried dough served with white wine. This is my first time tasting fresh made pasta in Florence, their tagliatelle with fresh truffle in grana padano cheese wheel was interesting and delicious, ideal for cheese lovers and no meat takers. For desert, I also picked their signature tiramisu, served in a more creative and more hands on serving way. Staff are friendly and the overall dining experience was enjoyable and relaxing.

Easily the best meal I had in Italy for my current trip, love the truffle flame cheese pasta, so damn good i doubt anything can beat this experience. Love the service as well, the staff greets us while preparing the paste for us, we also ordered the pork rib which is amazing, the meat just fell off the bone! Even the started is good. We were lucky to secure a seat, and I highly recommend you to make a reservation for this place, the only regret you will have is not ordering more.

This place is an experience. True Italian osteria with premium-ness. Everything about this restaurant is perfect. Non judgmental staff treating everybody equally with smiles and greetings. They open at 12 for lunch and you have to make reservations for the table. For me the place was completely booked for two days before the actual day. So we decided to try our luck and went there around 11:45. At first they took all the reservations and within the first 15 min they checked for available seats and we got in. They serve a welcome drink to everyone and then bread slices and cheese stuffed fried dough balls ( believe me these are perfect starters that you can try). We tried their truffle cheese wheel pasta that they made in front of us (pure experience of eating first with your eyes ) and tortellini stuffed with ricotta spinach and salted butter sauce. And we ended our lunch with osterias idea of tiramisu. It's a deconstructed tiramisu with cacao sauce which was adding slight bitterness and working perfectly with the sweetness. And the texture of cookies on the base to cut the texture of softness of the tiramisu. ( I can't get over how tasty this experience was) really feel like this is a Michelin star deserving restaurant.

I was very skeptical since this place is very famous. But i was so impressed by everything from service to the food. The service was excellent. We were served with welcoming drinks and some bread and snacks. We ordered the famous truffle pasta, and it was amazing! The service was super nice, and we ended it with delish tiramisu, and they gave us lemoncello. We even wanted to come again the next day. Please keep in mind to book ahead or come at 19.00

The best Place to eat in town, I come back here whenever I visit Florence. Perfect for a family dinner or to have lunch with a client you want to impress. Fresh and seasonal meals will take you through the traditional flavours of this beautiful city

We went there for truffle pasta. It was so delicious and funny to see the making process. Other dishes were also good! A little salty to Koreans, but very delicious!

Cheese wheel pasta is great, delicious! Though the portions are not very big, we were still hungry after 2 courses so we ordered more. Nice ambience and the staff is nice. A bit overwhelming at the entrance because it is a popular place!

Ate here for lunch on shortly before getting on the train to leave town. Having been in Italy for more than a week, I thought the service was great! If you’re coming straight from America or haven’t eaten many sit down meals yet you have to slow down- people take their time here and servers aren’t trying to turn your table. You will always have to ask for your bill. Enjoy one another and the food. The cheese wheel pasta was a perfect close to our time in Florence.

Travelling from Canada: Let me start by saying that I cannot do justice to the food here. I came for the truffle cheese wheel — which was even beyond my high expectations — but was elated to find that this is not the one special item, but that everything is done impeccably. The rest of my family all ordered other meals and were very pleased. That said, I would still say that getting the cheese wheel is a flavour and entertainment experience that you should not miss out on if you do choose to dine here. Not only are the savoury dishes delicious, but the desserts are impeccable as well. One family member said that the strawberry-lemon sable is in the running for the best dessert that she’s ever had. The tiramisu is also creatively outstanding. Apart from the food, the service was mostly good and the setting was very pleasant. The cover fee includes three kinds of bread (better than any other bread that I’ve had in Italy) as well as small aperitifs and after dinner limoncello shots. The waiter also brought the wine to taste before serving even though it was just for a glass, not a bottle. That was very much appreciated. Overall, probably the best meal that I have had in Italy. I would highly recommend that you dine here if you’re travelling in Tuscany. It would be wise to make a reservation, as it was very busy when we were there (we made a reservation through TheFork about 3 days ahead of time and there was already limited availability).

Make sure you reserve online in advance and be ready to stay in a line. Otherwise super friendly staff and really great food. The appetizer plate with the different meat and cheese was so so. The pasta with the cheese ball was to die for. The wild boar meat pasta was super good, not really saucy but the noodles were super fresh tasting. Free bread and a little glass of wine to start was nice. No place to leave a tip so care cash.

👍👍 You'll always see queues, but they are actually quite fast, so don't stress! They helped us with recommendations.
