Staff are rude and rushed us through our order. We said we preferred a tub to cone and the next minute she had picked up a €10 tub and filled it before we said no. We got a small amount of ice cream compared to cheaper and nicer places we have been to. It was not well presented either. We would not recommend compared to the other superior gelato shops around Florence.

Worst service in Florence. The two ladies were extremely rude. I asked for ice for a soft drink that was not cold and without looking she said no. We had ordered pasta and requested parmesan cheese, she was ready to say no when realized that the parmesan cheese was in front of her in plain view. Don't go there, terrible.

They served my sister a rotten fruit cup. There was a worm in the strawberries and it was full of mold. She got sick. I asked for a refund while showing the rotten berry and wriggling worm and the cashier refused. I’m disgusted. An apology and a refund was all we wanted. I don’t speak Italian but they serve fragola con insetti

We usually read reviews before eating anywhere but we were in a rush due to the time we had to get back with our tour group in Florence. We saw the food displayed very nicely so decided to take a chance. The pizza was premade and barely warmed up. Flavour was nothing as we expected. I would not advise eating here as there are many other places to eat in the area.

While walking around Florence, my wife and I got hungry. A sandwich will be just right, we said, and stopped here. The food was correct. The prices are definitely too high, but it's there if you're in Florence.

They are dishonest. Don't buy from them. Even if you request to have a small portion, they will give you large portion and charges you 10 euro for a cup of gelato. And the gelato flavor is not rich at all. Go somewhere else.

Steer clear! Absolute sham of a place, they charge €8 (roughly $12 AUD) for 1 cone although advertising their prices at the front. Don’t ruin your day/night by going to this place.. we got away lucky only getting 1 cone, would hate for a family to order gelato here and be slapped with a massive bill 👎

I would never recommend it. Ice cream untasted. Very bad. By default they will pick the big cup. It costs 10€. Be careful. Ladies are very clever.

Be careful, it's a rip off. They charged us 24 euro for 3 small ice creams. Ice cream was not great quality either.

I’ve been to Florence numerous times, never had bad gelato but now I can say I’ve had bad gelato in Italy… really really horrible!! The gelato tasted absurdly artificial- only took two bites and then threw it away. The cashier was really rude too. Terrible experience.

Went to this place and the food was good. The atmosphere was great. However, I gave the cashier £100 and he gave me change back for £50. I didn't check my money right away because I had my hands full. Upon checking my change, I realized the mistake and I went back to the guy that short changed me. He said that I gave him a fifty. Then he basically said that he couldn't do anything about it. So be careful. I feel he did this on purpose.

If you’re in the middle of the day and stop for a gelato or a pizza this is a great place. Super friendly staff, great service and their bathrooms are clean.

Ice cream is alright but felt truly cheated when asking for the SMALLEST cone which is advertised as being €3 and being charged €6.50!

I knew I shouldn't have done it, but it was late and it was one of the few places on the main drag still open that had food available. I bought one of their panini, which they heated up, and I took it home. Ugh! The sliced meat was terrible quality; chewy and without taste. The cheese wasn't much better. The bread was stale. I ended up tossing most of it.

Absolute scam. Prices are not what are advertised, so you are shocked when you are asked to pay. Ice creams are cross contaminated. Avoid at all costs.

I would give it 0 stars if that was an option. I got a tiramisu cake and 2 cannolis. Started eating the cake and it was excessively sweet and tasted artificial. I ended up throwing all of the food as it was absolutely disgusting. I will not recommend this place at all. There are hundreds of better places with much much better food and cheaper prices.

For the quality they offer, the food is indeed overpriced. The parma ham on the pizza was too salty, but the cottaletta (the breaded chicken) inside the panini was tasteless. Both items I ordered were too hard and cold even after having heated up briefly. The toilet was dirty.

Most of the places I’ve dined in Florence have well deserved enormous praise. It’s easy for restaurants in a tourist area to slack off, so these deserve to be rewarded. Not so for Ristorante Self Service L'Orologio. Its sole feature is its proximity to the Uffizi Museum. We knew we would be in the museum for hours and weren’t sure how good the cafeteria would be. (We shouldn’t have worried. It was great if a bit pricy.) On the other hand, Ristorante Self Service L'Orologio sucked big time. There were no crowd control staff so local pushed ahead of us as if we weren’t there. The food was poorly cooked and not very tasty.

Horrible. Cold pizza. Cardboard tastes better. Overpriced. They must launder money in the back . Hard to imagine this place survives in this prime location. Avoid at all costs

Pass by this place, the sign says 4.5 for Gelato, so I was thinking, why not on a hot day. Order a small and asked for 6.5 instead of the price from the sign. I got it anyway to try, but it tasted worse than cheap ice cream from the grocery store. Do not come.

Avoid ordering gelato at this place at all cost!!! It made me lose trust to all the gelato places in Florence. Better to check out google ratings before ordering.

Upon arriving everything was fine. I got in line order and paid for my pizza that i had gotten. After more than 3 minutes passed of me waiting, I decided that I would walk up and ask for my pizza again. When I asked, it seemed that the worker attending the customers(which was very little at that moment) forgot about the pizza. She took the pizza out the oven and it was burnt. She showed the pizza to me and told me it was a little burnt when in fact it was burnt quite a lot. I kindly asked for my money back as for the loss of appetite, but the worker at the cashier (the same one I went to pay for the pizza) immediately refused to give me my money back. She started arguing with me when I continuously kindly asked for my money back. The worker at the cashier said she would get me a new slice but I did not want one but she kept on insisting. The worker attending the customers went to the to back to get a new pie which was cold, and cut out a slice to then put it in a bag. I was confused at this point because why was I getting a cold pizza. I asked if it was cold and she “yes, do you want it heated”. Then at this point agitated, I said yes. While leaving, the lady at the cashier said “yes yes go go” to me as I left. The pizza was absolutely terrible as was and is the service. This pizza is overpriced. I do not recommend coming here at all.

👍👍 You'll always see queues, but they are actually quite fast, so don't stress! They helped us with recommendations.
