The food and the place are beautiful. But when the staff discover you are not a guest (but willing to pay obviously) they are so rude, when we got here they even doubted giving us a table, told us how they were fully booked but would’ve made us happy. After that they were pushy because the kitchen was about to close they couldn’t even waste time answering questions regarding the dishes. They couldn’t even smile. The experience was pretty uncomfortable. And even though the food and place are beautiful there are much more welcoming places which are as good and beautiful this bistrot is.

Went for dinner at Villa Cora. Upon arrival at the hotel we searched for the restaurant but were ignored multiple times by reception and were left wondering around the hotel trying to find the restaurant whilst the concierge took what seemed to be a personal call. Once in the restaurant it seemed that unless you were either staying at the hotel or having the tasting menu you received second rate service. Waited nearly 45 minutes for an Aperitif and during this time requested bread three times only to be told that the kitchen were preparing, yet when arrived was still marginally stale. We were rushed through any wine selections with waiters walking off to attend other tables before we were even given a chance to voice what we wanted. Best part of the meal was the razor clam pasta which was excellent, aside from this, comparable to a pretentious ‘faulty towers’ we were treated as if you were lucky to grace this restaurant with your presence. Having dined at far batter places, we would regard our experience as (stale) style over substance.

Given the price, very disappointing. No one came to help with bags when we arrived. Room was supposed to be a king but was two beds pushed together. There was a party going until 2am, extremely loud, and management did nothing. The next day they said sorry, we can't control other guests. Roof deck and restaurant were great though. Otherwise I would never go back.

The opulence end grandeur of this hotel is sublime. Lovely grounds to explore (quite small though) and the state rooms in the main building are the real highlight. Pool bistro has a small casual menu (walk in) but the evening menu is amazing. Being poolside has its pros and cons.

Beautiful hotel located in a quiet area yet still close enough to walk to good restaurants or taxi into town. We stayed here with our 2 young girls and they loved the rooms and food. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Hotel was nice, staff were generally nice. Check in starts at 2pm, we did the check in stuff at 11am, but the room wasn’t ready until around 2.30pm and had to wait in the bar area. When I mentioned this to the concierge, he didn’t seem to care. The outdoor pool is supposed to be heated, but no where near heated enough to be useable, and definitely not the temperature they claim to be—don’t go in on colder days. The dining service was also inattentive and the cooking careless. On many occasions, I had to pour my own wine (after being empty for more than 15 minutes) while the waiter just stared at me doing so. One dish had burnt elements on the dish. And another had a hair on it. In all, it was a pretty frustrating stay.

My daughter and I stayed at the hotel for 3 nights. The common areas are just magnificent and so are the grounds. Service was good. Our 2 problems where: 1- two of the 3 nights the common areas were closed up for functions, so we really couldn't enjoy them. 2-The noise from the dancing area (even though it was in the basement) went beyond midnight. I recommended the place to a few friends but then I had to tell them not to change their reservations and stay where they were. Had I know that the rooms would be closed off (when I reserved) I would have gone somewhere else. Too bad.

The staff at Villa Cora made sure that l we got whatever we needed to make our stay in Florence the most seamless and stress free. We came to Florence having almost nothing planned and the staff handled booking tickets for museums and dinners. We witnessed other Americans struggle to navigate the confusing websites, and queues but were able to avoid the hassle by having the staff handle our activitity planning. Villa Cora is located about 12 minutes outside of the “downtown” area in Florence but getting to town was never an issue because they have an on call shuttle. At most we had to wait 15 minutes. The hotel is beautiful, clean and has many hidden gems the more you explore. The bar we found to be particularly stunning with a sort of speakeasy vibe. I hope to one day return to Florence and can’t imagine staying anywhere else. The service was 2nd to none and a highlight of the trip.

We were so very impressed with this beautiful place! Our room was lovely and the staff kind and helpful! Or luggage was lost by the airline, the hotel staff worked to help us find it. Terrific food, amazing views, we will be back! Thanks for a superb visit!

My wife and I stayed here the last night of a trip around the area and I wish we had stayed longer. The grounds and interior of the property are both exquisite, and the rooftop offers a lovely view of Florence. The staff went above and beyond to help us navigate our return to the US

I picked this place on the last leg of a quick trip to Europe a couple weeks ago. The establishment is beautiful. Absolutely stunning. The grounds, location and service were amazing. I booked through Amex and received a room upgrade to a Jr. Suite. While I was happy about this, the room was laid out so funky it was cramped and not ideal. Their sitting room was a completely separate room so it was almost wasted space and a huge closet which was great to walk in to but took up a bit of square footage lacking from the bedroom area. The bathroom is beautiful with white marble and brass fixtures and gorgeous windows with heavy tapestry. So posh. BUT it is a galley bathroom so you are climbing over the other person to get to the toilet hah. Only other gripe is the light switches in the room. There. Are. So. Many. It was kinda comical actually but nothing many pushes of all the buttons couldn’t fix. Service was unbelievable. So friendly. So helpful. Truly went above and beyond. Food at breakfast was excellent. Only ate in their restaurant once and sat by the pool briefly but all were lovely. Location is awesome. It is a quick hop away from central Florence. They have shuttles most of the day that take you there easily and can pick up on request. If you are a walker, it is a quick, awesome one mile-ish walk down to the river to cross over. Loved it. We didnt have time for the spa but we had a credit for it so one of the lovely front desk ladies let us into the spa after hours to purchase some skincare instead. Didn’t have to do that but they offered which I took advantage of and love it. I love hospitality like that. We had an early morning flight so no breakfast our last day and they packed us a little picnic box to take to the airport. Better than the lounge food. Was a nice touch. Highly recommend if you are looking for a traditional room in a quieter part of town that is easy to get to. Will stay again. Hopefully not the same room though.

Luxury establishment. Arguably the best place to stay if you are traveling Florence .

Very nice, well decorated and maintained old building. Location is good. Service quality needs to be improved for sure. Not good enough for such a small boutique hotel.

Every corner of the hotel is a photo spot. The hotel is small but cozy, the restaurant and wine list were awesome👌 the spa facility is small but beautiful. If you want a relaxing holiday in florence, highly recommended. The hotel is a bit far from florence city center but there is a hotel shuttle. The hotel welcomed our dog with a little welcome gift 🎁

Villa Cora is magical — we loved everything about our stay. The attention to detail by every staff member, the incredible pool, being removed from the insanely busy city center and the delicious breakfast buffet. Couldn’t recommend more highly!!

My fiance and I just got married at Villa Cora and I must say, it was the best decision ever! The villa and the grounds are spectacular, the service was impeccable and attentive, and everyone who works there is very professional, friendly and welcoming. They made sure we and our guests had everything we needed. Special thanks to Clarissa and Laura who helped make our wedding and entire stay so special! I never thought I'd say this about a hotel, but it truly felt like we were home, and I miss everything about the place already.

Incredible place. Cannot fault the venue, pool, or staff but there were a few reasons why I can't give 5 stars. A wedding party with very loud and rude kids ruined our time at the pool- the management were understanding but did nothing to accommodate for or address this. Room AC could be cooler in August. A shame as otherwise absolutely stunning!

Beautiful hotel. Of course not central but you would book it knowing that it is 20 mins away from most restaurants. Lovely hotel, room, service, stunning breakfast.

The greatest Luxury hotel experience in my life this far. The building is beautiful and speaks elegance with every detail. The outside grounds feel just secluded enough to give you the estate feeling but only a quick drive away from the city center. I also can’t say enough great things about the staff as well.

This is one of the boutique hotels I’ve stayed at. The hotel isn’t really big so it feels very much like home. Even in our short 2 day stay it felt very personalized and familiar. The only problem was I didn’t find it very business friendly, there wasn’t a desk in the room. Service was 5 stars from the spa to the reception. Their housekeeping was also amazing. To sum it up, personalized 5 star hotel with a great wellness and pool area, it’s away from the hustle and bustle of Florence with a local luxury twist.

I stayed at Villa Cora for my son's wedding in Florence in August. My family and most of the wedding guests all stayed at this hotel for a week. Villa Cora is beautiful, rooms are great and clean. Staff are extremely professional, welcoming and accommodating. I will definitely go back to this hotel next time I'm in Florence and I want to thank all the staff at Villa Cora from reception, cleaning staff and staff by the pool for our memorable stay.

An absolutely stunning place and impeccable service! Villa Cora is a tiny heaven near Florence. Close enough to walk to the city centre, yet far enough to be away from the crowds. Superb rooms, superb service, cleanliness and attention to detail. The pool is a dream and the staff so very attentive. Grazie Mille!

The incredible setting of this hotel is ruined by the service. I have yet to experience service worse than this. Over a span of 3 days the staff were unfriendly and unprofessional.

truly the best hotel i’ve ever stayed at, the service was impeccable (and anyone who says otherwise is likely to complain anywhere). Each staff member I encountered showed care and interest in ensuring the visit was as great as possible. The breakfast was out of this world, beds were comfy, pool is perfect, rooftop! spa! sauna! fitness! Hotel staff helped arrange rides or offered the complimentary shuttle!

All in all, pretty disappointing. Had anyone actually asked us how our stay was on check out (they did not..), we would have shared this feedback with the hotel. We went directly to Villa Cora after our wedding for a week to celebrate our honeymoon. Other than a standard bottle of wine on arrival, which was just described as a welcome for our stay (no mention of our wedding) there was no acknowledgement of our wedding or honeymoon by the hotel when we arrived. We have had other 5 star hotels bend over backwards to just wish us a happy birthday or anniversary in the past. In this case it felt like we could have just been guests on a weekend getaway. Other than our experience with Lorenzo, who we thought was delightful and extremely helpful, the service was just OK. For example, we asked questions about where to find good parking garages or tax refund counters in the city, and the immediate answer from concierge was always ‘we don’t know, you can Google it’. The shuttle service wqs slow so we often planned to leave 40 mins to get anywhere on time if using the shuttle. Otherwise taxis are a quick option it you manage to find one (there were taxi strikes this week so often found ourselves stranded). Food in the restaurant by the pool was also disappointing, so after the first night we went elsewhere for food. The rooms and hotel itself are beautiful. The bed is extra comfortable, as were the Frette sheets and we enjoyed the treats left by housekeeping in the evening service. But to us this was not enough - this was an all round disappointment.

Beautiful hotel on the outskirts of Florence. A beautiful ans stunning building and grounds with large outdoor and very warm pool. The rooms were very elegant, superbly comfortable beds. We stayed in superior and it was a good size. Thoroughly enjoyed the luxury and would highly recommend Villa Cora. Also easy walking distance and near to Pitti Palace and away from the hustle and bustle of Florence Centre. Will be back!

We stayed here for the last night of our honeymoon. The staff at Villa Cora did their utmost best to make our stay as special as possible and they succeeded!! The hotel itself is a piece of art, the rooms are amazing, service and quality is 10/10. Definitely coming back here and stay a bit longer.

👍👍 You'll always see queues, but they are actually quite fast, so don't stress! They helped us with recommendations.
