We came here because they seemed reasonably priced. A cover charge was not advertised, but you do pay one per person. We asked if the lasagne came with bechamel sauce, when what we should have asked is if it came with bolognaise sauce!! Have never seen a lasagne like this before. Tasteless, needs a tomato based sauce. The penne was very firm, the tagliatelle was better I’m told. The salad is suppose to be a Greek salad. What you don’t see in the photo is all of the cabbage below! Not sure if they were joking, but the service staff started yelling at each other over our table. Not very professional.

Excellent experience. Thank you Biz Evde Yokuz for suggestion. We loved steak and lasagna. We have ordered a desert with alcohol but didn’t like it too much. You can there for delicious dishes not for desert. 2 eur service fee for each person. Nice waiters well deserved with her smile.

2 EUR cover charge and soft drinks are 5 EUR. Pappa al pomodoro was excellent. Pasta was ok. Pizza was not good, too much cheese and tomato sauce was runny and with little flavour.

Excellent food, especially their Florentine steak. Great cut of meat that was not excessively seasoned, the flavours of the meat itself, truly stood out. The service was great as well, despite the staff not having a great command of English, they tried their best to help and provide us with recommendations. Their tiramisu is also not to be missed, it is slightly different than what one might expect, and it was absolutely delicious.

Food was fantastic. Services and atmosphere also great. Not too busy or chaotic.

Great restaurant! Our server recommended a great wine Pomino (white). He let us taste it first. We had bruschetta as an appetizer and the spaghetti for our meal. Both excellent. Definitely a place to go again!

We really enjoyed our dinner at the alfresco area of the restaurant when we visited the area in May. Staff were all welcoming and greeted us when we were checking out the menu trying to decide what to have for dinner, so we decided to give it a try. Everything was reasonably priced, well presented. The gnocchi and pasta tasted fresh and handmade, and the sauce was simple yet delicious. The salad was really nice too. There was no issue communicating as their staff all speak English. Sitting in the alfresco area was nice, as you get to relax and enjoy the atmosphere near the Central Market area while watching the world that goes by.

Amazing dining experience greatly enhanced by the wonderful Francesco who served us and guided us impeccably through the menu! Portions were generous and flavour was superb - I am still dreaming about the truffle crème on my blue steak 🤤 the combination of stellar service and great Italian cooking make this an absolutely wonderful dining experience. We will definitely return on our next visit

We had an amazing experience at Trattoria Vecchio Mercato. Adella was a warm and friendly server, who made great recommendations and brought a smile to our table each time she came by. We sat on the outside patio and enjoy pasta, bruschetta and great wine. They were open during riposo which was helpful for us traveling into the city.

Wonderful experience in this restaurant. All that we ordered was incredible yummy and delicious. The service is also pretty good. Totally recommended!

We had fantastic service from Francesco and enjoyed beautiful pasta, and a wonderful dessert that Francisco has created himself, which is a Florence take a tiramisu that he calls Tuscanisu. Do yourself a favor and try the Lasagna, we also tried a ham & mushroom pizza, a type of bruschetta (fat instead of tomatoes) and a simple spaghetti with tomatoes dish. All we’re wonderful.

Pizza was delicious and unique. You must try the 4 cheese gnocchi it is such an amazing dish. The staff are so friendly. This restaurant is a MUST it ticks all the boxes.

Had a friend who spent years in Italy recommended this place. It was a perfect place to get some authentic traditional Italian food! They took a large reservation (for party of 10) an hour before and were very accommodating. We ordered the Primavera, Pici, Gnocchi, and finished with the T-Bone. All the food was fantastic and Francesco (our Server) was icing on the cake! I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a great meal in Florence.

Extremely awful disappointing pizza has been delivered. Just a waste, not food. You cannot run a restaurant cooking like this, it’s a shame for the chef, it’s an absolute shame for the owner. Please think twice before going here or ordering from here through Glovo.

We had such a lovely meal here. We stumbled across it shortly after we arrived in Florence and we were not disappointed. The wine and pasta were amazing topped off by the cheese cake, the staff were great. Would definitely go back 😊

Got Taglierini vercchio mocato(pasta), Tartar tartufo(beef Tartar with truffle oil) and 1kg tbone and it was all delicious, one of the best steaks I've ever had, little pricey but definitely worth. Would 100% recommend to new people visiting the area or regulars.

It was a little pricey for what it was. We were able to find better steaks later on. But it was still fairly good. Our waiter was also friendly

I had the best vegan pasta dish here. As you can expect, it is difficult being vegan in Florence. However, the pasta dish I had was so tasty. I finished my entire plate and am still thinking about it a week later. When I return to Florence, I will be eating here. The dish was called penne vegetarian. Friendly staff too!

If you care about quality, wholesome food at a reasonable price (and a place that stays open till 11:30pm), go here. It’s opposite the central market and the Florentine steak here is the best steak I’ve had at this price point. Period. Sure, you can get a great prime rib for $200 but this stuff is 1/3rd that price and very close (if not better). Order it rare, and DON’T FLIP IT - it continues cooking on the sizzling plate till it’s browned on one side and juicy on the other. Our server - Isabella - was very charming and helpful. All her recommendations landed perfectly, including the pasta, the wine and, most importantly, the dessert - her own spin on Tiramisu that’s essentially ‘Tuscany in a sundae bowl’ - lots of mascarpone with a local biscuit soaked in the fortified vin santo. Before the steak, we got a local Tuscan pasta (ask the staff) and the gnocchi that were both great too! My girlfriend and I thought it was the best meal in Italy so far - and we went to a Michelin star place in Rome. The owner even came out at the end to explain how they use a Croatian cattle breed that produces a more tender steak. Honestly the only thing I’d complain about is that not all their servers speak English (not their fault tbh) and they can be a bit understaffed at peak times. Rest was perfect :)

Really nice and a good location! The staff was welcoming and made me feel comfortable and were happy to recommend dishes. I got the pasta with clams as well as a caprese with burrata salad. Both really tasty. My only critique is that the bread is a bit bland.

I ordered the T Bone steak, which was 2.2 pounds and I split it with my friend, and was the greatest steak either of us have ever had. I have grown up raising sheep, cattle and pigs in the US, and have never ever experienced a steak of this caliber before. This restaurant deserves 4 Michelin stars at a minimum. I was brought to tears while eating here. The greatest food I have ever had. This restaurant alone is worth the plane ticket to Italy

At first I was only offered a bad seat inside, although there was enough space outside on the covered terrace. After my complaint I got a seat outside. There was a used serviette in this place, which was only replaced after intense urging. The starter, a salad, was served very carelessly in a bowl. The main course, an obviously pre-made and only reheated lasagna, was very dry and contained almost no ragout, just many layers of pasta. I have never been served such a bad lasagna. The Parmesan cheese was also counted so that the guest consumed as little as possible. And you had to wait almost 30 minutes for this warmed-up dish. You don't get the pizza menu without asking, even though some guests had eaten pizza. They would probably prefer to sell the expensive dishes. You don't feel well treated as a guest. Luckily there are many better restaurants nearby.

Very good! Food was great and the service also. Very nice en sweet people. My dessert was a little bit hard in the inside but still fine and they still made me a new one. Big compliment also to the cooks. The tartare with truffle is really great!

A sub par Italian restaurant, which I didn’t think would be possible in Italy. I ordered a steak Florentine with roasted potatoes. The steak was nothing like I pictured it to be. Already cut into slices and cooked an almost pure red rare color. The steak itself was tasteless, overcooked, and medium-well all the way through. The potatoes were nothing special either but at least were edible and not £55/kg. The bread served with dinner was already stale and also tasteless. The still water I was served was £3/L as well. A little much for bottled mineral water. I’d recommend some simple dishes from this restaurant as anything other than cacio e pepe might be a little too much for them to handle. I guess I should’ve known the quality from the beginning when I heard “Gangnam style” as the ambiance in an Italian restaurant.
