My recent stay at Moxy, a hotel chain turned out to be an underwhelming experience that did not justify its steep price tag. At $300 for a night, my expectations were naturally high, anticipating a level of comfort and cleanliness that one would associate with such a cost. Unfortunately, the reality was starkly different. The room, priced at a premium, was a letdown with visible stains on the walls, which immediately gave off an impression of neglect and poor maintenance. This lack of attention to detail in cleanliness was not what I expected from a hotel of this caliber and price range. Despite the necessity of the stay due to a long layover, the room offered nothing memorable or distinctive. It was indistinguishable from rooms in lower-priced hotels, lacking any unique qualities that could have justified its cost. The overall ambiance and amenities were mediocre at best, making it hard to understand where the high cost was being allocated. The most disappointing aspect, however, was the cleanliness. For a $300 charge, one would reasonably expect a pristine and well-maintained environment. This was not the case, as the room’s cleanliness did not meet the basic standards, let alone the expectations for a high-end hotel. In summary, the hotel was not only overpriced but also failed to deliver on the fundamental aspects of a pleasant hotel stay - cleanliness, distinctiveness, and value for money. It was a forgettable experience that did not live up to the expectations set by the price.

Nice hotel near the airport with free breakfast. The room is a bit small, but feels very modern and comfortable. It’s perfect if you need to stay at the airport before or after a flight. Note that there is no free airport shuttle to the hotel. I took a taxi which was a flat rate of 15€. They are located about a 5 minute walk from the nearest train station which is only one stop from the airport. I took this when I went to pick up my rental car in the morning. They do have free 1hr parking in front of the lobby which is nice. Overall, great budget hotel close to the airport. Would stay again.

Out of the hotel options offered to those stranded by Lufthansa, this seems like a great, solid option. Highly recommend to fellow stranded travelers. It's actually close to he airport (1 station away), it's clean, updated, with acceptable dinner and breakfast options and friendly service. What more could you ask for in a situation like that? It wasn't perfect, the shower head was stuck in an inconvenient position, the Chromecast didn't work, but these are forgivable faults.

We are frequent travelers and loyal Marriott customers, but this is the first time we have stayed at a Moxy. This line of hotels is very different from most Marriott properties so customers should be aware of what their booking before planning their stay. The Moxy hotels are economical accommodations, with small rooms, but still modern, very clean, and offering fantastic service in locations that are very convenient. The Moxy Frankfurt Airport has been the perfect place to spend a 12-hour layover and get some rest before the long flight back to the United States. Checking in at the bar wasn't interesting experience, but the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Breakfast in the morning was very generous, with great coffee to get us moving in the right direction towards the airport at an ungodly early hour. Marriott has made a great choice in offering this line of hotels for travelers other than those going to conferences or long stays on vacation. This particular Moxy has hired fantastic staff that have gone out of their way to make us feel welcome and comfortable. I hope our travels bring us through Frankfurt again so that we have the opportunity to stay here once more.

They don’t have a shuttle to the airport — called before making the reservation and no one answered but the price was good and I’ve stayed at other moxy’s and I took the chance. I asked for a wake up call since I had an early fight out and arrived at the hotel around 3am and they told me the rooms have no phones. Definitely not staying there again. Hilton and Marriott are better choices.

Great experience, the vibe, the rooms and the best part was the people. Super friendly, super engaging and super helpful. The breakfast was was just as appropriate as it could be. One thing that I feel could be improved is the lighting in the rooms. Otherwise it was all perfect. Would have given 4.5 stars if there was an option.

Fun environment and kind staff. The best is the common space near the reception equipped with board games, table football and bar to enjoy the time with group. Room are ok, clean but really nothing special. We were redirected by Lufthansa company for one night due to delay of flight. Fine solution for Very short stay closer to the airport.

A fun place to stay, with a huge lobby featuring plenty of comfy chairs, tables, bar and dining area. The breakfast (not included in room rate) was worth the money. The hotel is one train stop away from the airport. Rooms are tiny but they are clean and well designed. At the front desk, the staff are warm and welcoming. I would definitely stay here again.

Ok for 1 night in case of emergency positive location but the management of the hotel has a lot to improve. Cleanness, Staff Training, Software Note: Not cool to give your Room to someone Else when you just arrived and are taking a shower, also I cannot pay with another card than the one I did the reservation … really ? Those are like basic stuff As Marriott platinum member not cool

I guess it's okay for staying one night if a flight got cancelled and you do not have to pay it. The dinner at the evening is very basic. The reception/bar/restaurant combination at the entry seems very small for such a big hotel. A toothbrush cannot be bought there, which is unfortunate since the adjoining supermarket already closes at 10pm. This is unfortunate if you do not have your entire travel luggage by you as it is still in the airport. It is strange that the hotel did not thought about this while any other hotel seems to be able to be prepared for such a case (at least sell it).

It is very clean and easy to reach from airport. The rooms are very comfortable with all facilities. The bathrooms are very tidy and and modern facilities. Location of the hotel is also very attractive. Only one disadvantage I saw was that they do not serve dinner late after 9:30 PM. We reached there at 10, and we were not served any dinner except a small bottle of cold drink. But in the morning, we were served very healthy breakfast and I love the place a lot. I wish to visit the place again.

The business of hotels , hotels business mangment one of the basic principles in their operation is hospitality The business owner need to learn and know more and more about that . The rooms need a lot of things , no room services, no fridges in the rooms. No phones in the rooms to call room service or reception. The quality of meals so bad and cheap. I think Lufthansa as a cheap flight company and unprofessional they contracted with cheap hotel like this one I have very bad experience. I do not recommend it to any foreign visitors.

Small rooms typical of a European hotel. A/C was turned off so had to open a window which was noisy. No airport shuttle. Elevators were small and always crowded. Bed was comfortable and location is good. Front desk staff were very nice and helpful.

During my first stay at Moxy Hotel near Frankfurt Airport, I was immediately captivated by its unique and vibrant atmosphere. The lively vibes set it apart from other hotels, creating a refreshing ambiance. The spacious and clean room added to the positive impression, making my stay comfortable. However, my dining experience left something to be desired. Opting for the beef lasagna priced at 11 euros, I was disappointed to find that the dish did not meet my expectations. The lack of proper sauce on one layer and absence of beef, combined with an excess of tomato sauce and bits of carrots, resulted in a less-than-satisfactory dinner. Despite this culinary setback, the overall stay was pleasant and the hotel's distinctive energy remained a highlight.

Had to stay here overnight because we missed our flight. The staff was super friendly and hospitable. Nice atmosphere, dinner was cheap and good, room was clean and comfortable. Especially Vlad, the bartender, was super friendly!

Great place to stay by the airport. Rooms are a little small but clean and work. I had an overnight stay due to a missed flight. Found this place on one of the online travel booking sites. The bar is excellent, especially after a long day running around airport and finally booking a flight for the next day. Special callout to Bartender Blad! His personality and mixology skills were great. Got me ready to tackle the airport tomorrow 🙂

The location is great..service with a smile and the atmosphere is fun. The rooms are mid sized the pillows and beds are not the same as the higher level Marriott properties. Bring earplugs if outside noises bother you.

The hotel has a different ambience than typical hotels. I really enjoyed the stay and the minimalistic styled room. The hotel is about a 6 minute walk from the Frankfurt Main Gateway Gardens train station and is very convenient location if you need to get to the airport quickly.

A super nice, modern hotel. Great atmosphere, cool staff, great lobby/bar area, fair price. Rewe and two restaurants with outside seating just next door. Was my most pleasant unplanned stay at an airport hotel. Fully recommended!!!!

What a disaster of a hotel. It's so far from the airport you need to get a train to it as there is no shuttle bus, or, if you arrive late or early, a very long and unpleasant walk crossing multiple wide and busy roads. Check-in queue even at 11pm was extremely slow, people reading books while they wait, as was the check-in process which took forever and over 100,000 clicks of the mouse despite no special requests and full prepayment. The room was made up for four even though I'm only one, neither of the TVs were programmed correctly, even the shower gel bottle was empty with no substitute. No food after 10pm, and not even a kettle for tea in the rooms. Better stay either at the Hilton which would seem to be a true airport hotel or just rough it in the airport terminal. The only fun thing about the Moxy FRA is the prospect of imminently checking out.

This was an unscheduled stay, due to problems with our airline. Despite that, the staff were amazing. From the Asian gal who enthusiastically and patiently checked us in when were exhausted from such a long and difficult day… to the Romanian bar manager who made us feel at home and facilitated us meeting new friends from Mexico… this place is magical.

Our flight with Lufthansa, via Frankfurt was delayed to the day after, terrible experience and horrible assistance from Lufthansa. However, they booked us in this hotel, 5 minutes by train from Frankfurt’s airport, and the reception received from the hotel was great, understood we flu with kids and prepared nice bedrooms for us and some candies for them, and kept the kitchen open when we told them that other passengers from the same delayed flight would come so we could have a decent dinner and a nice stay in this modern and comfortable hotel. The staff at the reception, on 23th October, they were Spanish speakers, were efficient and kind as well the German ladies in the morning with the checkout and giving us very useful advice to go back to the airport. Great thanks!

The price of the rooms were good and they were clean! There is not an airport shuttle. If you’re flying out of terminal 2 don’t bother taking the train from Gateway Gardens and walk if you’re able. The time spent walking to the train station and waiting on the train is not worth the Euros. Breakfast is around 18 euros, luckily there’s a nice grocery store around the corner to grab breakfast for less the night before. The beds did sink in the middle but I didn’t find them uncomfortable.

Outstanding breakfast!!! Yum!! Super convenient to the airport. Slept great as there was no road or airport noise and great black-out curtains. They try to appeal to young customers which means some of the decor is unusual for a hotel. Walking in, I thought I came in the wrong entrance as their check-in desk is also a bar!

The staff are kind, friendly, and full of great local tourist advice. The rooms are just the right size for a few days stay and the beds are comfortable and the bathrooms have completely items with GREAT shower pressure. BUT the best part is talking with other travelers over a cold beer (on tap here) or over breakfast! The breakfast was excellent too! The location is great - 3 min walk to the train and 1 stop transfer to the main station in Frankfurt! Would highly recommend!!!

The location is perfect, the staff are extremely friendly & my room was clean ☺️ I was greeted with a free cocktail upon arrival and coffee at my departure. The only thing I couldn't figure out was how to drain my bathroom sink, but that's minor. Will definitely be staying here for future travel!

Great location to the airport. Room (family suite) was perfect for 4 people. Hotel was nice and clean and had a pleasant scent throughout. Staff was super friendly and helpful. We will stay again. *Side note- there is no transportation to the airport

The service was very approachable and efficient especially for two people stranded until our next flight. We came in tired and frustrated, but the environment lifted our spirits. Very fun and interesting decor with comfortable rooms. The only thing that was difficult was turning subtitles on the TV, but we decided to just fill in our own dialogue. Had a blast and even received a welcome drink.

New, clean and fancy hotel with parking (price is OK given the proximity to the airport, 25€ per day). The rooms are quite small though - it's a Moxy, so you get what you order. There is at least one restaurant around the corner for a quick bite, which makes it a comfortable place for layovers or pre-flight stays. Though one could walk to terminal 2 (and take the connection to terminal 1) I would recommend the bus or a taxi. Extra hint: don't park in front of the hotel for longer than 30min, it's 30€ extra as this is a private zone and they use cameras and sensors.

I want to thank the people who work in this hotel. I myself am from Ukraine, settled in an apartment near the hotel and was pleasantly surprised by the pleasant attitude when I was at breakfast. everything is very good, pleasant, tasty, clean, I would like to separately mention the administrator guy who worked on May 8 2022, I will definitely be back again

Adequate for a layover stay and if you're traveling alone or as a single person this would be a fun place, for sure. Unfortunately as a couple with a one year old daughter, the host of features catering to the late night crowd or bar scene weren't super appealing to us. Either way, the air conditioning worked great, the rooms were clean, and we made our connection the next morning without incident.

I stayed here with a “day rate” when I had a long layover during the day in Frankfurt. It was one stop on the train from the airport, and then a five minute walk. Very convenient and much cheaper than the airports attached/at the airport. The bed was very comfortable and AC worked well. They only serve breakfast, no other meals. My one complaint was that there was no water bottle offered in the room, you can drink tap water (no cups in the room either) or purchase water from the hotel. It worked really well for my purposes and the day use rate was about half of the normal rate.

Excellent infrastructure and a decent location one subway stop from the airport (unlike other hotels no shuttle service). The staff are very friendly yet overwhelmed by the different tasks. Upon arrival I was told that the room I had checked in for online and was assigned incl, room nunber had been given to someone else and they would need to try to move me to a different room. Most tables in the restaurant area were dirty with empty plates and no-one bothered. In conclusion, a good place to stay, but grab food somewhere else or have it delivered to the hotel.

The staff there was friendly. The room was pretty small, but clean. The room a.c./heat is determined on the outside temperature. It was slighlty chilly outside so it was set to heat and I couldn't change it to a.c, so it got hot in the room. I was able to crack the window open some which helped a little. The dinner there was okay, nothing special and the breakfast wasn't worth waking up for. Overall, it was an okay experience. Nothing to write home about, but I've stayed at worst hotels for sure.

PRO: price is good, very nice Italian restaurant next door, 15€ breakfast buffet with a wide selection, a big grocery store next door, easy to access via public transport (S Bahn) and is 1 stop away from the airport. CON: bed way too soft and sinks in the middle, bed is very springy, the baby bed mattress is super thin so you can feel the metal slat in the middle. We needed to place towels strategically to make the baby bed more flat/even. The scrambled eggs at breakfast were super salty. The hotel is understaffed so it’s difficult to grab their attention after check-in. The hotel is used by airlines to settle overnight passengers. Hopefully you don’t check in at the same time as the mass.

Airport hotel where you usually spend a night. The provider of shower gel was not working. Since the room has no phone, there is no quick way to contact reception. Also, when you wake up in a hurry to catch a plane, you have no time to deal with this. Special/simple dinner. Breakfast starts at 6am, which is usually good, but an airport hotel could start breakfast earlier.

Service? Incredible. Cleanliness? Also incredible. The reason this hotel gets only 2 stars is the bed and pillow were the most uncomfortable I’ve experienced. Didn’t sleep at all. We’ve been to many Moxy hotel locations all over the world but this bed the worst.

  • 4/5 Sabine M. 11 months ago on Google
Rooms are extremely small, but clean. Location is good next to my grocery store and a few restaurants in walking distance. The beds are quite uncomfortable, but I prefer a softer mattress. Not everyone does. This hotel is walking distance from the train station into Frankfurt city.

This is the most friendly and welcoming hotel we have ever stayed in, and that is a lot! Service was outstanding, rooms are on the small side but are bright and airy, bathroom had all that you would need, beds were very comfortable.

Really nice and friendly staff! We arrived nearly 2 am and still felt very welcoming. Service is really good. Hotel is modern, clean and nice. Breakfast is nice and free. Its under Marriott group. Really enjoyed staying here! They even gave my daughter a nice unicorn doll
