A huge outside terrasse and lots of happy customers. So the atmosphere was very nice in this quiet/relaxed side of the city The service is fine. The food they serve seems to claim to be especially local and high quality, but honestly, I found it rather mediocre tasting - I don't think the cook is very good, from what I tasted and saw in other plates. But it's very German-typical tasting cuisine, so if you want self-made but average German food, with at least some real attention to getting local ingredients and good quality wines, this place still is a reasonable option. And if you just come for the drinks, it's a great place to enjoy.

Very german place, the food was amazing. The snitzels do tender and tasty. A little bit crowded, they put us in a shared table with other people but, as we didn't have a reservation it was great we got that.

Lovely German restaurant. Food was good and the atmosphere was nice. Toilet was clean. Only one thing should be so much better was the service. It could be that they didn't have enough waiters on that day (Saturday night) and we had to wait for the service for quite some time. One of my colleagues got a wrong order and another one got to re-order as he didn't get his food after ordering as if they forgot it. Well, as the food and atmosphere was good, they deserved good ratings.

Very nice place in Sachsenhausen, of you are looking for local specialities this is a good option. You will find german food and some local dishes from Frankfurt. Taste is good, staff is friendly and the location is easy to find.

Ein wirklich rundum toller Besuch der dringend nach einer Wiederholung schreit. Ach und by the way der Äppelwoi schmeckt auch noch super.

The omnivore food may be high quality, but the vegan/vegetarian options are pretty thin on the ground and not great. I expect more from a restaurant in this price range, even if vegan customers are a (small) minority. Also, the espresso was pretty bad (just a pet peeve of mine). Watery.

Lovely hip decor - an Apfelwein joint with a modern twist. Service was friendly and patient. Not common in most Apfelwein places. We had the Frankfurter Schnitzel with fried potatoes- delicious! And 3 different Hessische Tapas - interesting...mini sausages with mash potatoes, Wurstsalat (not my favourite as it was bland) and grüne Sosse. Served with very fresh, tasty bread. All in all a lovely evening in a nice ambiance - not too posh and not too basic!

The place is trying to put a modern spin to a traditional Apfelwein Restaurant. It is really cosy and has nice decor, as well as a great location. However the food was rather unimpressive - the schnitzel was very dry, the green sauce rather blant - all in all we were disappointed. There are more traditional places that offer a better good at lower prices.

One of the best options for german food in Frankfurt! The restaurant looks much nicer and cozier than the the average german restaurant. Price is good and quality is amazing too! Also the service was really quick! The dish I ordered was expected to take 30 minutes but we got the food only 5 minutes later!
