A small but popular restaurant with a variety of choices for side dishes. The portion is small compared to the price. However this is so far the only Japanese restaurant i found that constantly offers oyako don as well as Japanese curry rice, and most of all, they taste really great. Reservation strongly recommended.

Such a cute little Japanese restaurant. All dishes servings are quite small, but at the end we got full. Skewers are very nice, but definitely you won’t feel full after only eating them. I personally like the fried squid the most, very crispy outside and chewy inside. Grilled fish was so tasty as well, but it’s tricky to disassemble meat and bones 😂(not for the first date!) Also, I love Japanese beer, and they have Kirin beer and I loved it!

I’ve visited Kushiya Ichikawa almost 10 times! I can say here’s atmosphere is almost like Japan 🫶 Highly recommend here if you need Japanese vibe in Frankfurt !

This small Japanese restaurant tucked along a quiet street specializes in chicken skewers and grilled food. The menu is a little on the pricier side, but the food is delicious, the service friendly, and the drinks, comprising of Japanese cocktails and longdrinks, tasty. The only problem is the small venue, which means that reservations are necessary, otherwise you might come by and find yourself without a table.

I went to eat here to celebrate my birthday with my girlfriend and best friend, Shota and the waitress were extremely nice and went above and beyond to provide us with a great evening and they kept checking up on us to make sure we were completely satisfied. The customer support was unmatched. The food was fantastic, we ordered a variety of dishes and starters and they were one better than the other. I highly recommend Kushiya Ichikawa!

Part of me doesn’t want to share this review because I hope it doesn’t get more popular. We came here for dinner on Saturday and had a great meal and night. We did make reservations and would highly recommend everyone do the same, only about nine tables total in the place. We enjoyed looking at all the pictures on the wall of the food and that helped us see what other tables had ordered and we even started a list of what to order next time. My husband came here for the wagyu beef and got the 150g order and said it was delicious. I got the sukiyaki udon and it was also amazing. We ordered quite a few small plates because I was curious as well: gyoza (almost perfect), arabiki uinna (I liked these but admittedly pricey for serving size), dashimaki or Japanese omelette (so fluffy) and then for dessert we got the sweet potato ice cream which hit the spot. Cannot wait to come back and try more off their menu! This was one of the better restaurants we’ve had in Frankfurt and we’ve now been to quite a few. Just as a heads up, the reservations for the table are typically for two hours if that helps with planning your night!

Small place in a quiet neighbourhood street. Friendly staff. Didn't had a kids menu, served small portion for our kid. Food was okay. There is also parkhaus few doors before if you are driving.

Seems to be quite a traditional mongolian. The noodle dishes were delicious, as were the dumplings (beautifully seasoned). We did order one sweet dish made out of flour (?) with sesame on top... we weren't such fans of this, as it was rather dry. The staff was super friendly.

This is the second time I order through Lieferando. Very authentic and delicious bentos. This restaurant is a must if you're looking for that authentic Japanese flavor in Frankfurt.

A cute authentic Japanese place with a variety of food choices. I don’t think I ordered the best among them but they were still pretty decent. Salmon was very fresh. However, the portion is small and you have to spend quite a fortune to get full.

Very small, quiet place with nice ambiance. Gyoza was very good but the main course, Oyakodon, had a very mushy texture, everything was swimming in broth and the flavors were not that great

They have kimchi for some reason, but it's really good. The main dishes are also excellent. They also offer wagyu beef, which is not that common in other japanese restaurants around this location. Excellent food.

Food is good, but fairly pricey for what it is. There is no ambience at all - cheap tables and chairs cramped together. Service is polite and professional.

My favorite Japanese restaurant in Frankfurt which is specialized on grilled skewers. However, difficult to find parking in the surrounding area and not so convenient to get there with public transportation.

Very friendly staff, nice and authentic Japanese restaurant. Very small so I recommend a reservation. The food is delicious and many different Sake makes it a perfect spot.

A bit pricey but really really good with some dishes that you can only find there. For me it is quite addictive... I can only recommend to try it out. It also good that it is possible to get food to go because the restaurant itself is a bit small.

It took one hour for one single cold dish but meanwhile the other tables were served several times with even some long cooking dishes. We booked the table two weeks in advance, looked forward very much to enjoying the dinner here, but unfortunately it was not a pleasant time for us. The food was nice to be honest, still recommend it to someone who doesn't mind long waiting.
