My visit to Bob Evans left me with mixed feelings. I opted for the Alaskan Cod with carrots and corn, hoping for a wholesome dining experience. The cod was undoubtedly the highlight of the meal. It was cooked to perfection, with a crispy, golden-brown exterior that gave way to flaky, tender fish inside. The portion was generous, making it a satisfying choice. However, the side vegetables, carrots, and corn were a bit underwhelming. They lacked the vibrancy and flavor I expected. The carrots were overcooked, losing their natural sweetness and becoming somewhat mushy. The corn, while decent, didn't stand out either. Service was friendly and efficient, with my meal arriving promptly. The restaurant had a cozy, family-friendly atmosphere, which added to the overall experience. Despite the hit-and-miss sides, the Alaskan Cod was the star of the show at Bob Evans. If you're primarily in the mood for seafood, it's a solid choice. However, I'd recommend exploring other side options to enhance the overall dining experience.

Awesome waitress food was really good as well. They were very busy but she got my food out to me hot and checked back often to see if I needed anything else.

A week ago I posted about how my wife and I had just had a great experience at this exact restaurant, what a difference one week makes. Hostess was asked for a table, she took us past at least 5 tables and directly to a booth. We had our 5 yr. old grandson so seats for 3. I ordered the NEW menu item some type of BBQ covering what was supposed to be potatoes. They were cooked so long they weren't even recognizable. My wife, the butter milk battered chicken which was part of the reason we went back, it was great the previous week. Our grandson had basic hamburger and fries. We requested ranch dressing for his fries, the waitress delivered it, but sat it on the opposite corner of the table nearby out of reach. My wife ordered decaf coffee, I don't believe it was decaf but yet again the waitress placed it at the opposite corner of the table, away from my wife. None of us received refills. The waitress, cooks, and if there was a manager in the store, should be gone. BTW, NO She did not receive a tip. That won't happen twice.

The Bob Evan's food we had for lunch was really good. We went to the one in Gahanna and it was all awesome! The waitress was wonderful for us and really took good for us! We haven't been in Grove City Bob's for about a year. In Grove city was never good (terrible and nasty) and seemed really bad in there. Today's at Gahanna was wonderful! Everything was great!

Was totally surprised by thp/e food quality, only exception was the field corn being passed as sweet corn 🌽. Buttered 🥦 broccoli was amazing. Initially I thought service wasn't going to go well when us and a different group had about a 2 minute stare down at the entrance, while we wondered if we were going to be seated 💺. My wife had to request decaf refills 3 time's reminding us of our restaurant days when you never waited a table without a coffee pot in hand.
