Absolutely nothing special. If you want to pay 15€ for 5€ worth of bland food, this is the place for you [fajita was literally the size of my fist, and 98% veg/padding]. Though, I have to say, it was hotter [spicy] that most similar places.

This is my second review! Absolutely disgusted ye have gone so down hill I used to be happy with this place because you’d be full after it!! burritos are gettin smaller and smaller everytime! Bad enough the price has gone up but less food! Disappointed is an understatement!

Great environment in a good location in Galway City centre. The burrito was very good. Recommended. Maybe it is not the purpose of the place, but if you want to drink a beer they dont have. I would suggest to provide more drinks options. .

Great food, just a shame that I’ve ordered from yourselves x3 times on just eat and every single time you guys miss a good portion of my order. I had to be refunded nearly a tenner for the amount that was missing from my order today. Again, amazing food. If you order from just eat, triple check you got everything.

Great value for money packaged in a huge burrito made to order. It's not authentic West Coast fish, but if you've got a big appetite and skinny wallet, you can't do better. The table area could be cleaner, and the staff a bit less surly, but an overall good fast food experience.

Great work from the staff. It was very busy and some of the online orders were backlogging service but the staff managed this with professionalism and skill, getting through orders quickly and without mistakes. We received our food quickly and it was delicious and fresh. Exactly what we were needing! We left full and happy.

Prices have gone up a notch since opening. Walk in customer have to wait 20mins with a queue of only 4 and 8 staff or so. Really gone downhill. Not the quick and easy it once was. Ordering is no option either since portions are small then. Edit: Dave listened to my feedback and offered to make it up to me. Lets see what happens in the months to come.

A good option for a fast Tex-mex food in Galway city centre. I have had much better burritos, but I also have had worse ones. I was going to try the burrito bowl, but I saw people eating and it was so much rice I decided against it. Maybe next time.

We ate here at 11.30am on a weekday last week since most of Galway was like a ghost town. The burritos were the seckdn and third sold that day but they were cold and a bit bland. The staff members were nice.

Delicious burrito bowl! Various vegan options and combinations. Tried the Alt pastor mock meat with veggies and pinto beans, it was really good. Filling portions, my husband and shared a burrito bowl and were perfectly full but not stuffed. Ghost chilli salsa is quite spicy as expected, use sparingly! Definitely recommend! The queue was quite long but moved quickly! Great staff that greets you with a smile even though it was quite busy!

Huge fan of Mexican food here. I started eating burritos back in the days when I was living in San Francisco. Tonight I was dreaming about my perfect burrito combination: Barbacoa and black beans. Boojum staff was friendly and super fast. I paid €9.95 for my favourite combination. Delicious and a decent portion. Will come back again to try a different combination including Guacamole. 🌯 🥑

Food was very tasty and fresh but there wasn't much in it. Service was good and quick. Place is clean and well laid out. 15.50euro for 3 small tacos and a drink is expensive give the size of the portion. Perhaps it was what I ordered as seen people with the taco bowl and it seemed a much bigger portion. Also they put in some tin foil in the container where a fourth taco would have fitted and been more environmentally friendly!

Title: A Taste of Mexico in Dublin: Boojum's Delicious Burrito Bowl Rating: (4/5) Boojum, a well-known name in Galway's culinary scene, has earned its reputation for serving some of the most delicious Mexican-inspired cuisine (basically mimicking America food giant Chipotle) in the city. On a recent visit, I decided to try their famous burrito bowl, and I must say, I was pleasantly surprised. Price:(4/5) At just 10 euros, Boojum's burrito bowl is not only flavorful but also affordable, making it a go-to option for budget-conscious diners looking for quality and quantity. It's a meal that won't break the bank, and you get a generous serving for your money. Food Quality: (5/5) The star of the show, of course, is the burrito bowl itself. The flavor profile is exquisite; the ingredients are fresh and carefully prepared. The combination of seagoned rice, tender protein (I opted for the grilled chicken), a variety of fresh vegetables, and mouthwatering salsas creates a harmonious and satisfying taste explosion. The seasoning and spice level can be customized to your preference, allowing you to tailor your bowl to your desired heat. Portion Size(4/5) Boojum's portion size is generous and will leave you satisfied. Whether you're hungry after a long day or sharing with a friend, the bowl is substantial enough to fill you up without making you feel overwhelmed. Ambience(4/5) The dine-in experience at Boojum is pleasant, with a clean and well-maintained dining area. The atmosphere is casual, perfect for a quick lunch or dinner. While it may not be the most extravagant setting, it's comfortable and welcoming. Service:(4/5) The staff at Boojum are friendly and efficient. You'll receive your order promptly, and they are happy to assist with any special requests or dietary preferences. In conclusion, Boojum's Mexican burrito bowl is a great choice for those seeking delicious Mexican cuisine on a budget. The flavors are authentic, the portion sizes are satisfying, and the service is efficient. While the ambiance may not be top-tier fine dining, it's a fantastic spot for a casual meal. If you're in Dublin and craving a flavorful Mexican dish that won't break the bank, Boojum is a must-visit.

Burritos are amazing. It can be very busy especially in the evening. You can get a student discount if you have your student ID with you.

So great. As a tourist, I stopped by to eat something before continuing my visit and was amazed by Boojum. The prices are cheap which is kind of rare here and the food is simply incredible. Great tastes, nice staff... Absolutely perfect.

The Irish Chipotle. Used to be awesome, docking a star because think it has gone down a little recently. Get the burrito bowl instead - won't talk apart on you, good servings which full you up. Still aTexMex institution....

Was obsessed with Boojum when I was studying in Belfast and sadly they’re not in The Netherlands so as soon as I had the chance to go back I did and it was still just as good! Friendly and quick service, generous portions and extemely tasty! Will forever recommend the chicken burrito bowl with guacamole

  • 3/5 Stacey Curran El H. 2 years ago on Google
The standard of service has significantly dropped. The whole process from beginning to end included staff throwing food in containers, throwing the containers across the counter and again throwing labelling markers in a couldn’t care less attitude. It was very disappointing to see a lot of food being wasted on the counter as a result of incompetence and lack of motivation.

  • 5/5 Matheus 1 year ago on Google
I went when they are about to close (5min) and staffs were super friendly and supportive, thanks for supporting my starving night. Had no problems at all.

  • 5/5 David G. 2 years ago on Google
Boojum is always a delight, and at the size of serving, for sure no fault not being able to finish 😅 - Kind of miss the hot-sauces which aren't available given there is currently no indoor dining. Soon again though 🤗

If you are from the States this place is very similar to chipotle. It's a quick Mexican burrito/salad/rice bowl shop. The food is great and the facility is open quite late here in Galway. Great spot for after a night out.

  • 4/5 Konrad 0. 2 years ago on Google
Food is overall good, fresh and not too expensive. But boojum lost it lately, it's not as good as it's used to be. However I'd still recommend it. Student discounts are also very welcome and appreciated

I love the food but only giving 3 stars as it is really over priced for what u actually get, they fill the box up wit cheap rice and then tiny little spoons of toppings but huge price at the till but it is lovely

One of my favourite in Ireland. Serves spicy food with great quantity. Wide options in their menu. Also, this shop is close to the Docks which is very convenient.

My daughter loves the food in Boojum and she also talks about how nice the staff are. I had my first experience of Boojum last night when I went in and ordered food for my daughter. The staff were so helpful and nice to me. I would like to mention 2 members of staff in particular who understand what good customer service is. They are Katie and Emmanuel. Thanks for being so pleasant and professional and for making me feel like I want to go back again. Well done Boojum.

Myself and my girlfriend were in yesterday evening - the place was absolutely jammed and nearly decided to leave it when we seen the line but glad we didn’t. There seemed to only be 4 staff working, yet the line moved quick enough. The girls behind the counter were lovely, Katie and Ava I think it was still managed to have a chat and laugh with us! The food was good value, will definitely be back. Thanks guys!

  • 5/5 Ciara E. 1 year ago on Google
Was in store today on my lunch break, very efficient service and the girl behind the till was so lovely. Great customer service and food.. and not to mention the great bops coming from the kitchen!!! First time there, great experience will 100% be coming back again :)

I love Boojum and often ordered from here but quality has really started to drop in the last 2 or 3 years. The students staff seem fairly disinterested, and I swear the portions have gotten smaller . When it comes to delivery its god awful. Last 2 times I ordered for delivery the order was wrong and the delivery person was very rude.

  • 5/5 Harry R. 1 year ago on Google
Quality has improved over the last while to the way it was in the early days. Great to see! My bowls have been properly stacked whenever I order and very tasty.

This is our second time visiting Boojum and both times we have been blown away by the quality of the food on offer - we would highly recommend visiting this establishment if you want good food, great atmosphere and a great experience! We had the Burrito bucket and couldn't finish it... Will definitely visit again

OMG Soooooooo GOOOOD! This is like the Chipotle of Ireland. Chipotle is still better though!

  • 4/5 Sam B. 1 year ago on Google
It's Boojum. Not an authentic Mexican experience but they do make the food and it's nice. Sort of in between taco bell and an actual restaurant. Food is reliably decent, and they have a good student deal. Burrito bowl is probably the most worth it.

  • 5/5 Laura k. 10 months ago on Google
I went into Boojum last night with one of my friends who had never been before and we had such a great experience. The food was lovely as always but the staff are just the soundest going in Galway. The girl serving us was so helpful, she talked us through everything even though they were so busy! Top class service with a smile. I think the girl who served us was Emer? I heard who I assume was the manager let her go on break (a well deserved one in our opinion)!! 10/10 Boojum Galway. 😁

  • 5/5 Alannah C. 8 months ago on Google
Delicious food with great variety of choice. I was served by the lovely Patrick who prepared a vegetarian burrito bowl for me. The veg options are so flavourful that I didn't miss the meat at all. The only request I have for boojum is to please bring back the cash option. Cash is king!

  • 2/5 Jewel D. 7 months ago on Google
Was a huge boojum fan always loved the food but you have now lost 2 customers as I only had cash on me and you wouldn’t accept it won’t be returning again no matter how much I loved the food here not accepting my cash as payment is ridiculous! Cash is king!!!😡

Absolutely love the burrito bowls at Boojum! The flavors are fantastic, and the portions are generous. Pairing it with a refreshing Coke for an evening meal is the perfect combo. Highly recommended!

Always a staple whenever I'm in Galway. Although prices have gone up since my last visit, its still worth the amount due to the great portions they give. Highly recommend the burrito bowls.

Ordered a few times in the last few months and the order either didn't arrive or it was wrong or incomplete. Today it was delivered to the wrong address (again), so I'm done with boojum, thanks for nothing. To be fair to them, they did offer us a refund every time they made a mistake, thus 2 stars.

  • 3/5 Mike S. 3 years ago on Google
Food is good and quick. Think the main issue is portion size. Back when Boojum first opened the portions were noticeably bigger with more salsa, etc.

I’ve been going to Boojum since it opened in Belfast way back and it was great value and amazing burritos. I’ve been in boojum in Dublin, Belfast and Galway. Over the last few years the portion of meat in the burrito seems to have become smaller and the prices have increased and everything just seems like it has deteriorated to the point I probably won’t go there again. Sad state of affairs as it used to be a top place for value, quality and quantity.

  • 1/5 Jean O. 3 years ago on Google
Host quite rude from the get go, not a friendly person by any means. The team, about 6 members of staff, chatting away and working at a very slow, complacent pace. Then one member pointed to the long line of orders piling up. The thing is, had this group worked with more urgency, paid more attention and stopped chatting, they'd get through it. My food was late of course. Such a shame, I used to admire the service of boojums, the speed, friendliness and efficiency. No more I guess

The food is great and the staff are lovely but don't ever order delivery from here. The portion you get is literally half the size of what you get in person.

  • 3/5 Ava B. 3 years ago on Google
Got notification that good was ready to be collected. Got there and had to wait a further 15 minutes before anyone came out with it. Asked why I got a notification and had to wait this long and the staff member just shrugged. All the food was cold and had to be reheated. Once done the food was tasty but I am reluctant to go back there again.

Don’t waste your time and money ordering online!! Something missing from my order every single time without fail!! It’s a pity as I enjoy Boojum but because they cannot manage to give me what I paid for I will not be ordering again. From a very very loyal customer who will not be returning ( this is my 3rd time to say I’m not going back) this is how often they **** up !!

Exceptionally bland food ...the only thing Mexican here is the name above the door .. staff are nice if somewhat unhelpful..very expensive 25 euro two burritos and two cokes..menu very unclear ... All of these issues can be overlooked if the food was tasty as Mexican food usually is ...but food is DULL and very BLAND!! 1 star at very best!!
