I was quite impressed with their recent upgrade! You can now order your meal from any of the 3 panels( back and front) or order from the 3 tills. It did remind me a little of Argos, as once you order your meal, you wait in line to pick up your meal. All went very fast and smooth, so definately worth a try if you haven't experienced it yet.

That was one of the worst experiences that I’ve ever had. The food was awful, the toilet was disgusting, but the staff’s attitude was not so bad.

It's McDonald's. You know what you're getting. However, today I ate possibly the driest burger ever made. It was like eating a handful of diatomaceous earth and definitely was prepared by a knave of unskilled grill ability.

Good, quick service, and the facility was clean and pleasant, but the beverages and soft drinks could have been colder.

The atmosphere is busy, and the service is on point. This Mikey D. is a smooth running machine. I didn't wait no more than 5 minutes for my food.

Ordered from the self-service kiosks and selected the option to have food delivered to the table. After waiting about ten minutes, I enquired about its whereabouts, and they couldn't even trace the order or what happened to it. The staff seemed either disinterested or clueless. Eventually, I received my order but couldn't help but feel that some customer service training is needed.

Very well-managed and very professionally friendly. The one addition should be the placing of plug and USB sockets at the tables; most other Macdonald's outlets have them so located.

the order was made mockingly, they piled bread upon bread, and the hamburgers were at the bottom (in the Big Mac). I asked for no pickles, and there were pickles, and the staff smelled terribly of sweat

It's a McDonald's. You either like it or you don't. Had my first Big Mac meal in a few years. It was delicious!! Might have had 6 Mc Nuggets too. No complaints!

Really good! Even though it was a very busy day, they made my lunch very quickly!

It was closed during posted hours. The town anticipated it would be open. Many young students ended up hungry because of intentional miss communication of availability. False advertisement is illegal.

Friend of mine and me were both harassed by kids who were smoking cigarettes openly in the restaurant and clearly underaged. Security even walked past them blatantly harassing us and smoking inside the building and refused to do anything. Disgraceful behaviour.

I cannot thank the staff enough at McDonald's Shop Street. Last week my mother & father brought my son Noah to Galway for the day on the train. Noah is 9yrs old with non verbal autism and doesn't like crowds too much. When they arrived in Galway they brought him to McDonald's in Shop Street as Noah loves McDonald's and its a real treat for him. On arriving there they were greated by one of the staff who saw that Noah was on the spectrum and showed them to a quiet area of the restaurant where they were seated. She took their order and brought the meals directly to the table. This just meant my parents didn't have to queue with Noah who hates being in queues and isn't good at waiting at all. He can really get distressed by it. I cannot tell you how much that meant to them and to me as they could have quality time with their grandson who wasn't distressed and enjoy their day together with a lovely treat for him in McDonald's. Thank you, thank you, thank you to the staff who made this day that little bit more special. Its the little things that mean the most. Keep up the good work guys!!!!

Watched my food get given to another table , opened , returned , put in a new bag and get given to me. Got snapped at because I asked for a tray which most fast food places give so that you don’t have to eat off the table. Totally fine if staff are just doing what they’re told to do but the manner and attitude with which they enforced this new “tray rule” wasn’t polite.

Good cheap food as always, great fast service and excellent value

Best chicken selects on shop Street. I visited 4 times in 2 days just to make sure it wasn't a one off. I wasn't dissappointed

I have previously given this establishment one star, however on a wet and wintry July afternoon I needed sustenance and shelter and being the closest door I stepped away from the thunder into what i must say was a changed safe space the touch screen order was hassle free( and i could tell the staff cleaned it at least once so i wasnt worried about catching covid off of the maskless antivaxer in the Celtic jersey just ahead of me ) the hot sauce was amazing the best hot sauce I had ever ordered it complimented the cooked to perfection chicken or whatever is in them wings.I caught a glimpse of the under paid head chef in the back an electric copper wonder man and I'm im afraid I heard the manager say that's not the correct recipe but the chef stood his ground the manager screamed but the electric copper dream kept his cool and kept serving up his hot sauce. Do yourself favour and drop in ask for the hot sauce it is not to missed. The toilets were kinda clean

Before moving on to my next appointment, I had just stopped by to get a coffee and waste a little time. I had no problems with the ordering process (I went right to the counter rather than waiting for a free machine), the delivery timing, or the quality of the coffee. During my time there, I was pleasantly surprised by how well-kept the restaurant was.

The place is always a buzz if energy as it's busy and in the middle of shop street there are they self order machines which are very handy and it's a very clean spot

Come on, McDonalds is McDonalds. They're not exactly known for variety. I gave it four stars as I like a McDonalds sometimes, who doesn't? The Shop St one has to have two bouncers now - sign of the times.

To be honest since the renovations in McDonalds generally the seating is not as good as before so there are constantly people standing around waiting for seats. Also we love extra bacon and slice of tomato in burgers but these options are not available on the screen so we have to cue at the counter to order which is a shame. Can these options be added to the screen menu please. Food is great.

food was good. They don’t do refills. Also got a sugar tax on my drink(made me chuckle since im from the US). It was a good stop for a quick meal and they had vegan options

Absolutely appalling. Ordered 2 kids meals and a smoothie as well as other items. Refused to give toys with kids meal even though was paid. They replaced the smoothie with a kids juice and charged the price of it with no replacement of a product of the same quality worth the same value. To be frank I am quite annoyed, angry and appalled at this service.

Its definitely a top tier mcdonalds, it's still a mcdonalds so its not gourmet food or anything, but the staff have always been friendly, food never takes long and in a year of going there I've never had issues with any orders.

Great place to holiday from home. I had the Italian Stack and imagined I was in Italy. A truly memorable experience.

On this day it was very busy. No way to order at the till and pay in cash. Had to give up twice while ordering as the item I wanted didn't show. Then the receipt got stuck in the machine!! For "fast food", it took over an hour to get the order done and eat it.

I only dropped in to grab a coffee and kill some time before heading off on my next stop. I had no issues with either the ordering (I chose to go straight to the counter instead of waiting for a free machine), the time it took to get my coffee or the taste. I was pleasantly impressed by how clean the restaurant was being kept during my time sitting there.

Good food quality, great service. The employee Ava was so friendly and nice, lovely to have those small pleasant interactions when getting food after a long shift 🫶
