The amount of plastic and non recyclable materials used for a dine on the premises lunch at Salthill for a family of 6 was horrendous. 6 plastic smoothie cups with lids for tap water. Plastic lined containers, individual sachets for condiments, plastic coffee cups. I've never seen the likes of the waste in years! The only waste from a meal in a café or restaurant should be a napkin each. Customers should be given their meal on plates with proper cups and cutlery. 68€ for a shambles! The customers beside me felt the same about their coffees in plastic cups. The staff member there said there was nothing they could do. She was lovely. I blame the owners that makes these policies. Aswell as deplorable waste, the food was dry and poor quality, aswell as part of our order wrong. A key property on the seafront...shame on you!

Used a Christmas giftcard to buy an Americano and a veggie wrap. The staff behind the counter were all in great moods and genuinely seem to enjoy their jobs. At 4pm it was still too crowded to sit inside but not an issue as plenty of benches along the Salthill Promenade. Great late lunch - I'd give both the veggie wrap and Americano a 9 out of 10. The seasoned wedges with the wrap were a lovely surprise.

Very nice coffee and great location. It gets busy, make sure you take your time if you want to eat-in. But if you just want to get a coffee to go, go straight to the till, no need to queue. 👍

Coffee is ok and the pastries are nice, enjoyed the seating area and scenes of the bay. Had a cup of soup for take away only to find out that it’s half filled which was really weird given that the cup is already small?? Overall extremely overpriced.

Delicious food and drink and very reasonable prices. I got an iced chai latte with oat milk and a huge apple crumble square for less than 10€

Coffee was good but a sausage roll and toast took 40min to arrive since the staff had forgotten the order. No initial apologies for the mistake and had to ask myself for some complimentary orange juice to make up for the wait. Dont usually leave bad reviews but unfortunately this visit called for one.

Outstanding! I am sitting in the new Ground & Co in Barna now and the place is packed. It’s my second time here this week, everything is cooked fresh, just a nice tasty menu done well. Always a fan of Kevin’s places, I admire the system and quality he retains throughout all his locations. Great team!

Went here after the aquarium next door. Food was really delicious got the chicken burger and the fish and chips. Everything was mouth watering. Only issue we had was with the air conditioning above table but a member of staff turned it down when we asked which was very much appreciated. All the serving staff were warm and friendly. Definitely recommend

One of my favorite restaurants in Galway! The location is in the heart of salthill across from the prom and the food and coffee is just delicious! We were served by a lovely girl Amy who just made the experience that much better! A must visit in Galway

I’ve only been in here for take away. The treats and sweets are really nice and delicious. The coffees are fine too but they are so incredibly slow. When I arrived there was one customer in front of me and one behind me in the queue and we stood there for 20 minutes waiting for our coffees. It was the same the last time I was there too so not a once off. In the end I got the wrong coffee because they made the coffee of the woman behind me first and we all go confused who owned it. I just took it because I didn’t have another 20 minutes to wait for a remake. There were so many employees there but seemed like none of them were actually working. It’s unfortunate because everything else about this place is great, maybe it’s fine to sit in and eat, but don’t get a take away here because it takes just as long as sitting in does in another place 🤣

Great place and excellent food! We enjoyed the soup of the day, tempura battered fish and chips and mango salad. All delicious! Busy family friendly cafe so a bit noisy.

Would definitely go here again. Really enjoyed the food as did everyone with me. Had the veggie breakfast amd it was very lovely. Nice different tastes and all warm. Home bread was lovely. We had tea and had more than enough. Which isn't normally the case and was plenty hot.

Lovely cafe discovery on holiday, very worth the short wait for a table. Food was excellent - French toast was the best I’ve ever had. Family friendly and great atmosphere.

Yummy sausage rolls and the coffee was lovely. They do dirty chai lattes which are one of my favorite types of coffees. The red velvet biscotti brownie was nice, too. Very nice customer service and the outside sitting area is good for a sit outside to admire the beach view. Very convenient being right outside of the Galway Aquarium. I enjoyed the visit.

Great coffee and great selection of savoury and sweet. Good spot for breakfast. Outdoor seating is great, when the sun shines at least 😎

Nice place, nice staff but the food (well the food I was served) was shockingly bad. I ordered the deliciously sounding Chicken & Chorizo with Feta cheese stuffing and pesto on Foccacia sandwich (€9.80). What came out was a steaming hot microwaved piece of dry turkey breast on some sort of bread that wasn't foccacia. A thin sliver of pesto scraped on, some stuffing and bits of chorizo. No feta. I ate most of the thing because I was starving and in a hurry but I pointed it out to a waitress for the sake of feedback. Was told afterwards by the waitress that it was in fact chicken and the Feta was in the stuffing. I've loved enough chicken and hated enough turkey in my 47 years on planet earth to know it was turkey. My friend also tasted it and confirmed. Maybe there were some trace elements of Feta in the stuffing. They eluded me anyway. Enough to make me never return. Maybe go yourself and try the turkey sambo. It's not on the menu though.

Cakes on display look so good but that’s not what I was brought . The crumble was as dry as Ghandi’s flip flop and the coffee cake not much better. Bit of false advertising there , display stuff looked juicy and fresh . Clearly given old stuff that even looked boring . Coffee was fine , wasn’t exactly swinging from the rafters after it but it was ok. Definitely not worth the money , when you “dine in”, food should really taste a tad better than pre packaged mass produced supermarket pastries.

Coffee is just ok and food probably a little overpriced or underwhelming, whichever view you want to take. Quality has been lower in recent visits - used to be a much more reliable spot. Probably means it can improve again to previous standards.

Great coffee and snacks. Especially beautiful view and Lucy was extremely helpful and as always went out of her way to offer me the 5 star service I expect in Galway. Thanks for the coffee and the memories

Made our way to Ground and Co. after the nearby Fun Fair. Very kind staff and good food. My friend ordered the soup of the day (sweet potato with coconut) and I had the chicken + mango salad. Both great! :)

A very busy spot! The drinks fridge didn't seem to be working so all the bottles and cans were warm. Food is nice though, a nice selection.

Sound place for coffee and light lunch. Relaxing music outside on the day we were there. Lovely view over Galway Bay. Toilets closed is a bummer.... Also need to provide separate recycling bins for all the paper and cardboard.

A1 sausage roll with a salsa dip, coffee isn't half bad either. Always busy at the weekend with a band playing at the front. Great to see in Salthill.

Leah and Vanessa made the experience so worth while. Lovely staff, gorgeous food and the overall atmosphere can’t be found anywhere else. Coffees 100/10, not a lot of places can create my complicated order. Gorgeous vegan and vegetarian options. Looking forward to visiting again!!

It's a nice restaurant with very friendly staff and beautiful views over the sea although service can be slow. Menu is fairly limited and cheese heavy. Prices are reasonable.

Took 40 mins for 2 hot chocolates to arrive and when they did they were cold. Staff were very rude and ignored me when I needed a question answered it was very cold and overall a bad experience. I would recommend going to a cafe near it called coco which is a lot better
