We were lucky enough to secure a booking at this popular place, which filled up very quickly on the night. Barry greeted us warmly upon arrival and was a great host throughout the evening. Service was impeccable and attentive and the food was delicious. We couldn't' resist ordering a few additional cheeses - would've been a shame to let the crackers go to waste! A Galway gem - hope to be fortunate enough to visit again in the future.

This spot is so welcoming, so friendly and the food is top notch. Thank you to Barry for going the extra mile and adding a personal touch by making our Lola feel so welcome. It is run by a passionate team who care about every detail and it shows in both the variety and quality of the menu and in the level of customer service. We are already looking forward to our next visit.

Really lovely spot. Came here for a friend's birthday and Barry and Kate were excellent hosts. They were excited to prepare a special vegan plate for me. The food was lovely,as was the wine, nice atmosphere and I would recommend.

We had such a lovely evening at Trieste Galway last weekend. It didn’t even feel like we were in Galway but abroad despite the typical Irish weather that night. We were kept warm by the overhead heaters and blankets and well covered from the rain. The cheese boards are top quality. Barry is a wonderful host and it’s lovely to see such great hospitality and enthusiasm after such a tough year. Go raibh míle maith agaibh, beidh muid arais arís le cúnamh dé 😊

Ordered The Winter Wonder Box and Mini Dessert Box for family for Paddy's Day ☘️!! It was a pleasure to deal with the most friendly staff of Trieste. The amazing treats, with a few little surprises, are so beautifully presented in a rustic style box, with some carnations to add to the wow factor!!! Cheeses, meats, breads and oils all delicious! Well done Trieste, highly recommended, definitely deserve the "support local" tag!

Stopped by without a booking on the August bank holiday weekend but staff made sure they could squeeze us in and it was worth it. High quality charcuterie board. A wide range of cheeses to pick from and the board was beautifully presented. We followed it up with a wonderful desert sharing platter. Our children loved it. A great selection of wine including by the glass. Staff were very friendly and very attentive. A big thumbs up all round

A great little spot in the heart of Galway. The owner (Barry) helped guide us to try some great Irish cheeses including a great blue goat, a smoked mozzarella, and a spicy cheddar (among many others!). Cannot recommend this place enough, especially if you’re visiting Galway!!

Trieste is the perfect place where you can have a romantic dinner or relaxing time with your friends. I know Kate and Barry since they started, and every box or dinner feels like the first time. Since the first contact they show you how much they care and appreciate every customer. I would highly recommend Trieste to anyone looking for an outstanding dinner experience. I would give to Barry and Kate 10 stars if I could. Thank you for everything! ❤️❤️

What an outstanding find just off the main drag in Galway. Book in advance as it is small and very popular with locals and visitors. Barry is an outstanding owner and host who sources only the best produce. Great atmosphere, great wine selection to suit all tastes and great food. I would highly recommend Trieste

Just opened but as good if not better than any cafe/ wine bar in Galway city.....service is as good as it gets. Quality of the brunch style food is outstanding. Pricing is so competitive for what is been served.....Best coffee I have tasted in some time......small and cosy environment where the owner interacts with all the customers in a fun and likeable manner......definitely worth a visit ...

First time visiting to celebrate our anniversary and it was amazing! Barry is SO welcoming and friendly. You can tell he is passionate about providing the best customer service to everyone that enters the restaurant. Everything was amazing from the cheese, meats, homemade spreads. Locally sourced and so tasty! We will definitely be back!

The nicest and most accommodating people work here. We had a fantastic meal and bottle of wine. Definitely recommend an early walk in you will probably be better to book in the evening as it can get quite busy which was nice to see.

We had a night here over Christmas with a large booking and it's been unanimous that it was the best night of the season! Barry runs his wine bar with charm and is so accommodating - even squeezing in two extra chairs when I had accidentally miscounted the booking number! The wine options are vast and well considered, the charcuterie boards are the best in the city. If you'd like a place to gather friends with good food, wine and wonderful atmosphere - this is the place.Thank you Barry!

Our first visit, and we had the most amazing night. The bar is gorgeous, cozy and comfortable. Very relaxed and easy-going. Barry and Kate are so incredibly warm, welcoming and genuinely lovely hosts. They go above and beyond to make you feel right at home and just like old friends. They are both super knowledgeable on the cheese, meats and wine on their menu, and it's all fantastic. The boards themselves are laid out beautifully and we were so happy with the selection and variety. The wine was perfect and we loved everything. The time just flew by and we honestly couldn't believe how wonderful the evening was. It's honestly one of the best dining experiences I've ever had in my life—and we will be visiting as many times as possible in the future. If you are from Galway, or are only visiting, you can't miss this. Andy & Jennifer

Lovely tranquil petite wine and "snacks" place. Would highly recommend to everyone who likes to get a bit of pace and quiet from Galway party and pub town center. And it's just around the corner, literally! The owner/s seemed happy to have us there and made us feel that way. Both wine and espresso were good.

My wife and I read about this place beforehand and decided to visit. It was a wonderful experience. Warm welcome, great atmosphere, wonderful food & wine. We let them choose the cheese and meat for us and were very happy with the result. Everything that was offered was great! At the end of the meal we asked for a small dessert and were presented with a board dotted with an assortment of small and delicious desserts. We had a lovely evening and hope to revisit when we chance upon Galway again. Highly recommended!

Had a great evening. Really nice atmosphere, extremely knowledgeable host, and superb food. Cheese, cured meats and wine is always a good combination. It's an interesting concept; you pick 4 cheeses to add to your board, which includes olives, chutney, relish, breads, cured meats, and crackers.

Got a cute little dessert box gifted to me by friends from this cafe. And it was the best dessert I’ve ever had! The macaroons were to die for! I can’t recommend this place enough

There are a few places who offer a similar serving in Galway but none I have heard as many good things about as Trieste. Due to covid restrictions the restaurants have had to adapt to outdoor dining, and despite the cold October, they have adapted this perfectly. Heaters, blankets and candles in the laneway by the church - it felt like we were abroad in a European city. The wine and cheese were beautiful, you can choose your own cheese and in addition to the menu they get specials in. Barry's service was what really makes you want to revisit, as he is amicable, and gave us expert knowledge on the menu. A must visit for nice wine and a nibble, especially if you are from Galway - support local ♥️

Literally one of the best, if not THE best, restaurant experiences I’ve ever had in my entire life. Barry (sorry if this is misspelled) made great conversation when conversation was needed from the host, presented us with an artistic, thoughtful charcuterie board filled with local cheeses and cured meats along with homemade relishes, chutneys, breads, and more. The entire ambience of the restaurant was personable, friendly, with some local Galway hospitality. The next time I make it to back to this side of the pond, Trieste will be my first stop. Again, thank you Barry for the wonderful evening. If I could rate this 6/5 stars, I would.

Amazing and cute Charcuterie restaurant. We had a group of 10 and made a reservation for a Wednesday night. We were immediately greeted by Barry. He made two 5 person boards for us that were fabulous with local Irish cheeses. We devoured each board! Highly recommend when in Galway!
