I've been a member of CrossFit Garland for 1 year now. Not all CrossFits are the same! I tried a different one before and not only got injured repeatedly but I didn't get neither the encouragement and accountability I get at CFG, neither the progress I've had here. Here's a little before & after comparison on 1 rep max: Deadlifts: 75lbs --> 195lbs Overhead Squats 15lbs --> 65lbs Front Squats 35lbs --> 105lbs Back Squats 55lbs --> 125lbs Shoulder Press 35lbs --> 65lbs About 10 years ago I was working out consistently, and I was a lot stronger that I am today. Unfortunately after being run by a car while crossing the street (in Valencia, Spain), back in 2004 most of my lifts went down the drain. Due to the impact, my hips were off of alignment and I was never able to squat again, nor to deadlift without getting my QL injured. After the accident I met several trainers but none could help me out to get back to squat or deadlift with good form, so I gave up and quit training. Meeting Robert Selders changed things dramatically. Robert is not only knowledgeable but most important down to earth and respects his clients, meeting them where we are and understands that not everyone is an elite athlete. Robert has helped me to work over my fear of falling and to correct mistakes that were getting me injured. The other great addition to CFG is Mitchell Mills. He is also super knowledgeable and I am so lucky to train with him. Mitch coaches the Olympic weight lifting class on Tuesdays & Thursdays at 11.30am. He breaks down the technique to a point that it is easy to understand and have significant improvements for heavier lifts. As an example last week we did push press in class and the heaviest I could do was 70lbs, but then two days later thanks to correcting my technique I was able to push press 90lbs... I'm really loving it! So, if you have time to make it to this class, don't miss the opportunity

I love this place! Like Cheers but better! ❤️ seriously I’ve made my closest friends here. We do life together while getting stronger and healthier. Yes the workouts can be hard but so is life. Just keep moving and keep coming back for more. Coaches are all amazing and each bring something extra to the table to help you improve.

This gym is definitely somewhere you should be! All the coaches are amazing and customize/push your growth specifically designed for you. This is a family oriented gym meaning not just the coaches but the members of this gym will bend over backwards and support you physically, mentally and emotionally. 12/10 can't get any better than 3Q Fitness🏋🏽‍♀️

I love my CFG because it's fun, it's empowering, I like the people I work out with, so it's a bit like working out with friends, I enjoy my 5:30am morning workouts and physically it makes me feel noticeably happier and more alert all day. I found a place where I feel happy and in better shape, love their: 1. Experienced coaching. 2. Safety 3. Organization and cleanliness. 4. Fun workouts 🏋️‍♀️ 🏃‍♀️ 5. Great peers I don’t think I will go back to a “regular” gym anymore. I feel lucky to be a member ❤️ 8 months and counting 💪🏻

3Q CrossFit Garland has been my gym for over 4 yrs. Like most people my motivation to go the gym ebbs and flows; however the biggest difference is that I’ve discovered that having a full time accountability coach regularly checking in and encouraging me to continue my health journey has made the greatest difference! I’ve discovered that I NEED A COACH! I’m not disciplined enough to push myself the extra mile when I’m tired or life events push away my motivation. I do so much better when encouraged and truly believe I matter to the coaches at 3Q CrossFit. Last year I was having health issues and decided to work with Amanda on nutrition and through lots of encouragement, understanding and even some tears…I FINALLY beat my sugar addiction. We are a family at 3Q CrossFit. Sometimes we lose our way but our coaches always encourage back on track. If you are looking for something different to change your exercise and health habits, be a part of our tribe! You won’t regret it! Christy Elms

Absolutely loved my time there! Coach Robert & Coach Justin we’re both great! Their coaching was hands on from day one. Whether it was the movements, nutrition or helping me work through old injuries these guys were very knowledgeable and helpful! The ‘Tribe’ environment at 3Q Fitness was great too; completely loved working out with my fellow tribe members!

Absolutely amazing experience with wonderful trainers and fellow gym mates!! I walked in barely able to lift 10 lbs (it was embarrassing alright haha) and worked up to 3x that in just a month! You'll definitely get your money's worth! All of the trainers and the owner are truly their to create the best environment. If you're even considering it, just hope in and experience a room full of joy; or at least as much joy as crossfit can bring hahaha. Smile and spread joy 😊

If you want a gym facility where the coaches, are not only knowledgeable, are great and communicating, and always push you to do and be your best! CFG is the place for you. I've been going here for a year now. This was my first Crossfit gym and it exceeded my expectations. The coaches are consistent, they do an assessment with you every 3 months and hold you very very accountable. I would recommend CFG.

I started with 3Q Fitness after meeting Robert at a charity event in 2013. I had just recovered from back surgery and had multiple shoulder surgeries. At the time one shoulder was still very unstable and Robert wanted me to see my doctor before training me. Doctor said “nothing overhead”, and as a career firefighter I was shocked. My body was slowly deteriorating at the age of 33. Robert helped me develop a plan that got me moving in the right direction. From no overhead, to a pvc pipe, to a training bar, to a barbell, to adding weight. It was a process! 3Q Fitness was there for me every step of the way! My time with them I went from “out of shape”(for my career), 22% body fat, and nothing overhead to a massive life changing transformation. I got down to under 11% body fat, stayed close to my same weight, could overhead squat my body weight and preformed much better at work. All this was done safely and methodically. Meeting Robert changed my life! He helped save my career and is a big mentor of mine. He’s passionate about helping people through fitness and is a valued leader in the community! For those reasons, my mother, sister, and SO all ended up training with 3Q at some point. I will always be grateful for the help Robert gave me. I have met many trainers and coaches in my life and I trust no one better than Robert and the team he surrounds himself with! If you think you’re a lost cause, set up a time to talk to someone at 3Q Fitness. I can promise that if you work for it, they can change your life for the better! Nearly 10 years later I can say I would not be where I am without them!

I joined 3q about a year ago, and it changed my life. The atmosphere that the coaches cultivate is one of friendship, care, and community. I was intimidated by CrossFit at first, but they break down those walls and tailor workouts to your experience level. The workouts are structured so you can lift heavy, or just be mobile on rough days. The community of people that surround the gym are all very supportive and united around their health goals, which makes for a great family atmosphere. Drink the kool-aid!

This is the best gym experience I've ever had. Each workout is tailored to your fitness level so you don't have to worry about "not keeping up" or a one-size fits all workout. I'm great with legs, but some days, my knees act up. If I need to take it easy that day, I can just jump to a lower level. Your coach helps you choose the right levels for you. They have a really good (optional) metric system that helps track how I"m doing each time (I highly recommend using it). It was really fascinating to see how much better my cardio was just after 3 months. Your coach follows up with you (email, text, calls) for motivation and support. Let's face it. We all need someone to lean on. Just remember when your distance to your goal is too large, we often get discouraged. Once you set your goal, you can start breaking it down into mini goals, then break those down into a process. Then, forget the goal and work the process. The only point of a goal is to inform your process. My checklist for success is: 1) SHOW UP (make this your WIN), and 2) Follow the coach (easy to do once you're there). Really, your biggest challenge will be to SHOW UP. And if you're feeling low for some reason, lean into your coach. Ask for help. I've gotten hugs from them before. It's all good. Note: I also didn't do any special nutrition things (literally ate pizza, icecream, and nachos at least 20 times) during the first 3 months and still lost 10 lbs, gained 2 lbs muscle, and I'm 2 minutes faster on my baseline workout speed. I'm also WAY more flexible, and it doesn't feel like I'm a bloated whale in my own skin anymore. These are huge improvements! And if you're planning on being alive in 3 years, what do you think your own possibilities will be?

I cannot say enough great things about Robert, Justin, Kyle and all of the other coaches. While the gym is small, the space is utilized to the max, so when you're working out, there's not really a concern of bumping into anyone (even with COVID-19).The energy and the camaraderie in every class is awesome, and it helps you get through the toughest workouts, especially when burpees are involved. The coaches spend a lot of time getting to know what your fitness goals are and go above and beyond to ensure you are able to hit your own goals and seek improvement. In addition to the classes, Robert is always looking for ways to add value to members by offering additional workshops ranging to gymnastics movements to nutrition coaching. Truly a great place, I recommend them to everyone who is looking to improve their fitness :)

Everybody here is super friendly and motivating! Every workout is tailored to accommodate the most novice fitness level. In 3 months I could definitely tell the difference in the way my clothes fit, as well as a better feeling overall. Would definitely recommend!

😐 I'm gonna have to agree with the majority of bad reviews here. I will most likely upgrade when I get back into the routine.
